😠 "Outstanding Care - No Exceptions" The mentally ill are the exception. It's reflected in so many other reviews. I would love to be sick and feel comfortable going to the hospital. Safe going to the hospital. But i'm not. Not in Windsor. People often mention hospital, hours, care, doctor, patients, time, nurse, staff, waiting, nurses,

Waited over 9 hours for less than an hour of their time. Another man was there with back pain that seemed bad for over 12 hours Unbelievable wait times, priorities completely out of line (a very elderly man who CLEARLY couldn’t breathe waited over 7 hours), poor attitudes from staff (I understand the work load is insane, Carolynn at the front of emergency was nothing but lovely and I’m sure she was as exhausted as everyone else). If you can’t handle sick and potentially agitated people and can’t keep your temper or bad attitude in line, don’t go into that career path 😡 The man with badk pain was also rudely told by a very unpleasant triage nurse (short dark hair) that “unless you’re having a heart attack you’ll just have to wait” …. Sickening service.

Husband was having chest pains and went to emergency room. It was a horrible experience. He had to wait 13 1/2 hours to see a doctor. 13 hours were spent in the waiting room. Waiting room is absolutely disgusting. Horribly uncomfortable chairs, broken water fountain, tv that didn’t work, dirty disgusting bathroom with broken paper towel dispenser, no vending machines. When thirsty had to use a paper cup to drink out of the sink. How about putting a little money into the waiting room to keep waiting patients comfortable. Being in a horrible environment makes the situation so much worse.

I was very happy with this hospital from the ICU to the surgical floor. This is one hospital you can leave your loved ones overnight and know they are being taken care of. We had a few different nurses in ICU and all were great. When we got to the surgical floor we had Racheal and her student Brenda. What an amazing and caring team. These nurses are overwhelmed and it never showed. They were so kind and so caring. This made my father's stay here bearable. I have been to other hospitals and was not expecting this king of care and kindness. Adam was the evening nurse and he was also very kind and took good care of my father. These people are truly meant to be in the field they are in and I can not thank them enough. The hospital has a big cafeteria downstairs with good food and lots of seating. The parking can be difficult at times but if you are patient you will get a spot. Buy the tokens for $30 if you are there a few days! Tim Hortons only has pastries, donuts and coffee not lunch / dinner items are available here. Overall I was very happy with this hospital.

the level of incompetence amongst the doctors is astounding, the shockingly poor care and attention to patients is disgraceful. These people should be embarrassed to say they practice medicine and help those in need. They are negligent and disrespectful. Instead of celebrating my father's birthday in less than a week, we are remember a great man who died because of this hospital's lack of care , attention, proper treatment, and diligence. Avoid this disaster at all costs, it could save your life.

Horrible service. They'll watch you roll in pain on the floor, ask what's wrong, then tell you you'll have to leave if you're going to continue to be in pain. Don't ask for anything to help, they'll yell at you to sit down and wait. Even if you can't sit. Terrible treatment of elderly and sick patients waiting in emerge. Your nurses response to someone waiting 8+ hours and still being in the waiting room shouldn't be "you should try getting hurt like that earlier in the day as by this time we're too busy to help"...the dudes dripping blood from a head wound while they let him bleed. Terrible

I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience at the hospital. There seemed to be a lack of competence among the staff, and their attitude appeared entitled. Patient care appeared to take a back seat to personal egos. If you find yourself alone, be prepared for potential mistreatment and neglect. My perception was that it felt more like a playground for adults with healthcare licenses than a proper hospital environment.

I wish there were 0 stars I could choose. This place is a disgusting embarrassment to our healthcare. I hope no one ever has to be on the psych floor. What a joke. The whole department minus a few nurses were the example of an embarrassment to our poor patients who need help with mental illnesses. How about actually care and be on the floor and not hidden behind the desk your whole shift. Learn to have some compassion for families in crisis.

Brought my friend to the ER and after he was unable to keep food or liquids down for 72 hours. He was feeling faint and weak. when we arrived we were triaged relatively quickly and the nurse at the desk was attentive and my friend received a Gravol shot. Blood was taken for a tox screen. After 8+ hours of no updates from Amy if the staff and my friend slipping out of consciousness we decided to head home without receiving treatment from a Dr. When this was brought up to my friends family Dr he contacted the hospital for information and the results of the tox screen. The family Dr was told that his patient had never been seen at the ER and there was no record of him being there despite him receiving Gravol and having blood taken. Seems fishy to me that neither of these would be charged anywhere. 8+ hours and all my friend needed was iv fluids. Considering legal action if records are being removed

I waited for almost 6 hours in E.R. that was too untreated. I was having heat exhaustion and felt dizzy and headache all the time. Staff members were roaming here and there just like they were in public park. Nurses were celebrating pizza party while patients left untreated. When one of the patients asked for help because he had chest pain, they just replied they don't have doctor rn and next doctor will come in short time. What kind of E.R. is this where patients don't get treatment immediately. Disgusting management.

I'm not happy, but 15hrs really. No drinking beverages, snacks, can't go to the Tim Horton's. Security officers walking around with a glass but yet everyone there dry, not only that but as rude as they come. Security officer is lucky I he didn't get dropped to his knees. I didn't see nurse's or doctors walking around. I get everything has challenged but respect hasn't and this is the 2nd run in with your security at this facility and you need to fix it. No roughly 10 hours to get a bed unexpected but it happens. We are all getting a little short with it all so let's try to make everyone comfortable please.

I was there 9+ hours they did nothing but an X-ray and prescribe the same meds I already had from the last time. Different problem than the last but they basically said we can’t help you here’s the referral you should have gotten last time you were here! Then sent me home. Condition was not helped in anyway. This healthcare system is horrendous only bad experiences here

Excellent care and service in the Neurology department on the 8th floor. Thank you Alex, Dana, Hailey, Micheal, Carol, Cindy, Sam plus the many others with Dr. Naeem. As a show of gratitude I donated two books that I authored called Post Concussion Brain Empowerment to the ward to assist those who are recovering from brain injuries or neurological problems. This was a positive experience especially when I was going through so much pain with my neurological problem. Thank you to this valuable 8th floor neuro department.

The emergency department of this hospital is a major failure and an embarrassment to the Ontario Healthcare System. I arrived around midnight with pretty bad injuries to my arm. After waiting three and a half hours in the main waiting room area, they called my name and guided me to what appeared to be another waiting area inside the emergency department. Seven and a half hours after my arrival at the hospital I inquired how much longer it would be until doctor will see me. Nurse recommended that I go to a walk-in clinic or to go and see my family doctor, since it would be quicker. So I left the hospital after being there for nearly eight hours and went to the walk-in clinic as per ER nurse's advice. Nobody cared that I left without getting any medical treatment. What a place. They make any third world country hospital ER look good.

as someone who’s worked in both housekeeping and the kitchen i’m extremely disappointed in this hospital, without going into too much detail it’s just disgusting, most the housekeepers don’t do their jobs properly and the ones who do work hard get in trouble for the smallest things. They treat their employees like trash and their patients just as bad. Ive had to stand by while nurses and staff ignore patients who need help. The kitchen isn’t too bad but i personally wouldn’t eat off any the plates or use the utensils (other employees have said the same).

Worst place to go if you have anxiety. I needed to get some paperwork signed from a nurse practitioner/physician. Today after waiting for 5 hours I was told they have no estimated timeframe of when the doctor will arrive, and after arriving the doctor will not fill out my referral rather give me contact information for another doctor/nurse practitioner. They were incapable of providing any estimated timeframe for the doctor. In other words, they are grossly incompetent and don’t have enough doctors. If you want to waste your time without getting service, please come here. They have zero remorse for wasting patient’s time. Worst service seen by me by far after living in 3 countries.

August 15th came to ER met with very unpleasant security and admin staff. We waited 6 hours even after telling the triage nurse my father was sent by his doctor and was having internal bleeding. The ER waiting room and bathroom is filthy to say the least. Dirty floors and garbage behind chairs.Chairs have not been wiped down in what looks like months. Finally we get called in for a bed that's where we met our nurse Victor (Vic) the most pleasant nurse we have ever dealt with. Juggling multiple patients I don't think he sat down once through his whole shift. Bedside manor is top notch! It would truly benifit this hospital to have nurses in training shadow Vic. This one person turned our whole visit around among other patience I am sure as I could hear him chattering with everyone of them treating all with dignity and respect. He truly cares about his patients and it shows! Thanks Vic for being exceptional!!!

They treat staff and patients horribly. The amount of stories workers have told me during my time there on how they treat people was sickening. They leave patients begging for help (or food, nurses will make patients go without food if they deem the patient too rude) especially on the 2nd floor, if you have any family there make sure you check up on them often. They do not care about humanity when it comes to the people who are in charge here.

Everyone has mixed experiences at the hospital. I think it's common knowledge now that there are nurses who are born to be nurses. Then, unfortunately, there seem to be more who are absolutely miserable & would likely be much happier doing something else. They're just going to continue to get more miserable the longer they keep doing what they're doing. Of course, the doctors don't have enough time to really get to know our situations. I was lucky my last time there. She didn't spend much time with me (because they're insanely busy), but she did seem to care. As I got better, she seemed to smile & joke more too. I don't remember her name, but when I find it, I'll do a review on that site where we can review doctors. Many more thanksnesses to the nurses who helped that time go by just a little faster. Thank~you for asking me questions, explaining things to me & for trying to get to know me in order to understand my situation a little better. I appreciate every bit of your time, your kindness, your patience, your efforts, your compassion, your empathy & lots of you had a good sense of humour. That is SUPER important for any healing process! ~Positive~Vibrations~ &~Good~Health~To~Everyone!~ ☺️

Obviously given the amount of horrible reviews, when I went to the er yesterday I got lucky. 👁️ Waited 3 hours to get in and was seen by a dr after another hour at which point we had an X-ray, ultrasounds, labs and urine taken. Everyone (save the security guy in the waiting room who was falling asleep at the desk and was clearly annoyed when I asked a routine, 1-word-answer question) was super nice and helpful! It was difficult to find someone for a blanket (also only got a pain med at triage which didn’t help at all and never got one after that for 10/10 pain so make sure when you see your nurse to advocate for yourself and ask right away) so make sure to wear a thick sweater since it was like a freezer in there 🥶 Not perfect and not great about the lack of pain control but at least everyone was nice and helpful and it was only 8 hours and not 16 like I was expecting. 😂😭

Nurse and doctor care/attention was exceptional. Food was acceptable, but not great; not very nutritional. Housekeeping was absimal; there was a tissue on the floor in my mother's room for an entire day until I finally picked it up. Had to request soap for the sink in the room at least 4x before it was finally replaced. Took over 24 hours.

We would like to thank all the nurses and staff who were involved in my husband's care while on the 8th floor neurosurgery department. You made his stay easy even when he was a bit stubborn at times. Also a huge thank you Dr. Naeem for taking the time to talk to us and answering any questions we had. We found you to be a caring and humble man which was extremely comforting. We don't know how you do what you do but we are so greatful that you were the one who operated on him. Thank you so much!

On Saturday night, July 22, I went to the emergency room with my husband, when we had to wait 7 hours, I went to the receptionist, by the way, very unpleasant, the owner of the hospital thought she told us that she had not called us because what happened to my husband was not urgent, and at that moment she made me feel as if she had just arrived, I called the manager and made a complaint, she told me that there was nothing she could do. he put me in a chair and took me outside, how do they know it wasn't an emergency? It was an eye, think that the receptionist that day is not prepared for that position, I am an old lady and when I saw the fury that Marie had at me and I fell to the ground I hit my head very hard, I hope they change those people for the good of all!

I took my 5 months 3 week old baby to ER due to unknown allergic reaction and got registered and waited there for almost 4 hrs to see a doctor. Okay i get the point it was busy, now how do i make my 5 month old understand that we have to wait! I waited with my baby as much as I can. If the hospital and the staff expect from patients to be nice with them it’s the same from them back as well ! The attitude of nurse was horrible. When i told the nurse that I am leaving, she responded you goota sign a paper, i said i am not going to! And now that if something severe happens to my 5 month old daughter, the whole staff would be responsible !! I would have waited till i get get to see the doctor but my daughter was crying from so long that I can’t let her just like that!!

They MH will understimulate you. Won't evaluate you and will take every liberty when making sure that every bed is filled for as long as they can ensure others that they need to keep evaluating you. Do not stay at this hospital if you do not have support that will make them think twice monetarily for the consequences. There will not be any if you don't have any support. You get a yeast infection from the place. They will try to break you down like dr. Cameron who performed the MK-U experiment and in the time I was treated there it was a horrible example of what human decency can look like.

I went in for a CT scan at the hospital downtown. Did the security lady not excuse me of being on drugs and legit said she did not believe that I was there for a scan. When I first walked in she says can I help you and I replied no no I know where I'm going and pointed to the sign that says CT scans then she said what she said and refused me to go in okay I got a little annoyed she tells me to get off the the property I say okay I leave the property I call the hospital and as I'm on the phone the security from ER comes and actually helps us. But by then I was so frustrated I left. I just want to say that this hospital has amazing doctors and amazing nurses and amazing security except for this lady and I don't understand why maybe she didn't have enough sugar in her cereal or something but I didn't deserve the treatment

Given all the bad reviews, I was really surprised. I had Angeo done on Dec 13th and it was great. The doctors and nurses were all awesome. The floor I was on was clean everything was good. Had great care I mean I could’ve gotten lucky but everything seemed OK to me.

i was only there 4 hours which is understandable, was in waiting for 20 minutes and was brought in for testing, saw the doctor almost immediately, my nurse i beleive her name was Wendy, was super helpful, had a couple laughs with her and she made the wait a little easier for me. Also the triage nurse was so nice and made good conversation, these people have to live through hell on a nightly basis and they all did it with a smile!

I was brought in by ambulance and the EMS, Doctor, Nurses and Orderly were awesome. They are all working short, under crazy conditions in a pandemic and under immense pressure but they still smile and treat you like their own family. I appreciate every one of them and the care I received.

I have been going to this facility (Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus) for the past 35 years as an surgery patient, Outpatient Surgery 5th floor. The professionalism, caring, skill, communication and understanding by the doctors and nurses has always been high, However I would have to now rate these criteria, based on my last, visit as OUTSTANDING! Thank you so much for providing such a GREAT EXPERIENCE. Keep up the good work!

I would rate this hospital zero stars if I could. I dislocated my knee while riding a bird scooter so I decided to go into emergency. I waited for a few hours, that’s fine, it’s expected. I was seen by the doctor at around 8 hours in, he literally forced my leg into flexion (when it literally could not) and I was crying and in so much pain. He then went on to tell me the soft tissue in my knee was just bruised (I literally could not walk on my leg without my knee giving) and he didn’t ask me ANY questions in order to rule a tear or a dislocation out. Would absolutely never recommend going to this hospital. You’re better off driving to leamington. Forgot to mention, they took x-rays but no MRI’s. how are you suppose to assess ligament damage without an MRI… hate this place. 0/10 that doctor should not even be in practice (he was an older Caucasian guy). They literally ignored my issue, misdiagnosed me and did nothing to resolve it. Do not go here.

This is for David Musyj. He is a kind, compassionate, and awesome person. He is a true mental health advocate. He has helped me in so many ways to get me seen and heard through my positive messages. I owe him many thanks and wish him continued success. This shows the kind of class this man has. I am beyond grateful to be in connection with him. God bless you.

Super organized, very efficient from beginning to end in the process of having surgery. Hard working, intelligent, caring, amazing staff that put their whole heart and soul into a neverending need. There are too many staff/positions to fully acknowledge the depth of gratitude I feel about all, but definitely worth their weight in gold. Great job WRH Ouellette Campus!

Zero stars would be generous for this hospital. This review is being written while actively in the emergency room. We have been here for 11 hours. Have not seen a doctor. Normally stoic partner is in agony, in tears, having been sick for days on end. No staff in sight. Absolute disgrace and cruel to boot. Update: 13 hours. Absolutely zero care.
