The gym is extremely pristine, clean, and the equipment is modern. Why three stars, then? They close at 5 PM on weekends and 9 PM on weekdays! If a gym expects members to pay a premium for a luxury gym, their hours should not be those of an antique shop. I desperately wanted to like this gym, but the hours make it impossible to justify the cost.

I had the pleasure of visiting here for the first time the other day. Derryck was very helpful in assisting me with potentially setting up a membership. It’s a very luxurious atmosphere, plenty of marble, a very private pool, hot tub area, modern machines, etc. I do however wish they’d have an outdoor pool area for the summer at least to outweigh the benefits of their competitors, and reopen their lounge area which is unfortunately closed. Not to mention their hours are a little odd, they close very early. I am happy that I was able to experience it though.

Not a fan of Equinox. I'm not sure what the vibe is, that they are trying to create...but i dont like it. They seem to promote a holier than thou attitude with the staff, which rubs me the wrong way. They have a pool...but its small and shallow...not great if you are a real lap swimmer.

$250 for a single membership and only open until 5pm on weekends!? No thanks.Their sales team has called me relentlessly after telling them to lose my number. Only way I would be interested is if they turned into a 24hr gym. Obviously for profitability that’s something they’re not going to consider. 24hr could be their bread and butter and would align with the price.

I did a week trial and really liked the classes, showers and pool area, but felt a little off put by the layout when you first walk in the door. I would prefer more privacy doing weights. It opens only until 9pm and for any normal person working 8-5 in office this is unreasonable. In the end, I did not sign up for membership after my 7 day trial.

If you like a gym that closes at 9 pm Mo- Th, 8 pm on Fri, and 5 pm on weekends….where the shower heads haven’t been cleaned in nearly a year, where maintenance staff are all rude school-aged ”adults” except 1-2 of them, where the gym starts closing 30 min before actual close, where they spray chemical cleaners in showers next to yours while you’re using it, then this may be the one for you! Oh and if you try to share your joy with management, they absolutely do not care, which feels nice! Same with corporate. 0/10 would pass. Only plus is it’s basically empty majority of the time, which should have been my first clue 🙄

This facility has pleasant appeal and cooled eucaliptos scented towels. What it doesn’t have is the energy, size, vibrance and enough equipment. No dry sauna, few free weights and plenty of hot air - show-and-no-go. Your basic corner gym but with the velvet rope to make pretend this is something special.

This is a good gym if you don't need one with extended hours. I was a member for 2 ½ years, and I used the club for one-to-one training and pilates sessions. Both of the people I worked with were very good. The best way to use the gym is to also take advantage of the many classes that are covered under the monthly fee. They have lots of great instructors. The problem arises when you try to leave the gym. They have a policy that they will not refund money for unused training/pilates sessions unless you have a medical reason for the leave. I would avoid getting the package training deals unless you are sure you are staying. They don't always repair things promptly in the gym. They have good playlists for the music, and I personally think the eucalyptus towels are worth it.

WOW! This gym blows me away everytime around. The plunge pool the hot tub spa, the service Derryck especially is an angel! What a professional nice enthusiastic man. You can tell he loves what he does. I love everything about this gym. It’s got to be the best equinox in the entire US.

Initially my wife suggested I look into Equinox as a possible solution to facilitate some of our fitness goals. Having gotten an overview of Equinox from their website we visited the club. It was a laughable experience. We were met with the usual out of the box sale banter and even as we explained our needs and our potential concerns we were met with phrases like “will you be working out by yourself or with a trainer” Really? For $195 per month we were faced with no better than $10 per month sales scripts. What a joke. Learn to think outside the box if you want people to join your box. Educate the front desk staff on options and get some innovative people. Also basic business answer your phones and return messages. Enough said.

With the hefty price comes some exclusivity. Equinox is the elite country club of gyms. I enjoy the salt water pool, the unlimited classes and the steam room. I mean who needs a dry sauna when you have a steam room! Lastly, Gabby is phenomenal and I love her boxing class. Oh, I can forget Linda and her wonderful yoga class. My only complaint is the unused cafe space. I really wish we had a smoothie bar or some sort of healthy dining option.

Seems like equinox gyms in other states are way better than this location. Its shocking to me how they do not have a dry a sauna.

Great facility! I’ve been going to this Equinox location for around one month - I don’t regret signing up one bit. Fun and engaging classes, a clean gym floor; the steam room, the hot tub and cold plunges, and the eucalyptus towels. I truly have never been so motivated to make it to the gym. Eleni, the membership advisor was super friendly and made signing up easy. All the staff are proactive around making sure all my needs are being met! The monthly price is a bit expensive but if you’re truly taking advantage of the classes and the amenities it’s well worth the cost.

This is a positive shout out for personal trainer, Natalie DiPonio! On time and always enthusiastic about guiding both my son and me through new routines. I highly recommend Natalie for all ages.

The owner of Lux cafe, housed within Equinox, is rude and disrespectful beyond belief! Everything else about Equinox is great (lovely trainers and facilities), so its a shame that they should vet their subcontractors better than that.

I go to lifetime, wanted to see what was up here, they told me to come to the gym I had to set up a your date. LOL. Please, trying to create an air of prestige and exclusivity. Also the tacky music on the phone with the bells that are meant to be...dramatic? Powerful? They are weird. And unnecessary.

The staff is very friendly and answered all of me and my wife's questions. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the gym. It is very well-maintained throughout the day and the equipment is in great condition. Everyone is very nice. I worked with Alex, Eleni, and Tiffany and all were very professional, helpful, and spent a great deal of time with us. They were never rushing. I am so far very happy to be a new member. I would definitely recommend to a family member or friend without hesitation.

Very clean gym! I loved the cleaning stations. They have done a great job also with the ambience and the purple color. They have so many equipment, you can go without a mask even it's very spacious. Love it.

Best place ever! I’m 54 and never going to be an elite athlete. I played tennis regularly but was looking for a way to work out without doing the same boring thing everyday. CrossFit sounded scary, but the coaches helped modify movements and workouts to suit my strengths and weaknesses. Almost eight years later, I’m still at it and feel great!

The staff is here is amazing and such nice people 😊. If you have any technical difficulties, they are very quick to help you. I did personal training this week for the first time with Laura and she was amazing. It felt like I was training with a long time friend. Laura is amazing, friendly, comfortable to be around, and attentive. She took it easy on me since this was my first training, but I felt a lot & done workouts I've never done before. The workouts were both high and low intensity. She made sure to really know what my goals were and explained how I would reach them, my diet, and weight & all that good stuff! Personal training is something I'll definitely be starting soon

👍👍 Since my husband and I have joined. Jason and Jacob are very professional and even on days when we are not really in the mood to work out, they give us motivating words to keep us going. Every Planet fitness should have a staff like this one.

👍👍 Recently, I had the opportunity to check out CYCLEBAR in Bloomfield Hills and I was blown away. The attitude, the energy, and the cyclestar hosting the workout, Maddy Weinert was fantastic. The workout was excellent and I will definitely be return to Maddy's classes.

😠 There’s nothing special about this gym. They recently raised their rates to $260.00 a month. The manager is rude and so is staff. You’re better off going to equipnox down the street which is a real VIP gym.
