Ann Marie is disrespectful, rude, and you don’t want to bump into her she’s a typical KAREN! I’ve been a member since 2012 and I was told i’m grandfathered in to the Rochester club when they moved up the membership level. I utilized the club all summer long and no one stopped me at the front desk. Apparently in November they upgraded the prices to the Rochester club so I was forced to pay more to use the Rochester club. Few times this year I was let in without anything said to me by lifetime staff. When Ann Marie was working she was super hesitant and didn’t allow me access to the club. I was basically forced to leave i’ve been a member since 2012. if she’s feels you’re middle eastern she’s going to racially profile you. She’s a bad representation of this company. I’ve already called corporate on her for manipulating a situation that didn’t happen and for her leaving false information notes in my account. It was as if she knew i was going to call and complain for the way she was talking to me… so she wrongfully notated my account to cover up her mistake to save her job and these were her words to me, “this is a high end gym you don’t belong here go to shelby.” The reason why I’m mad is because i’m traveling to Canada and utilizing one of the ACTUAL HIGH END CLUBS and they graciously told me that they would let me in while i’m there. The Canadian Lifetime Club is equivalent to a Diamond level so it’s the highest level and they left notes in the account and to check in with the front desk upon arrival, no problem. If Rochester was such a high end club like Ann Marie told me it was, then they need to start by working on their staff. I even called to talk to her and she hung up on my face. That’s what led me to writing this review. I’m not the type to leave negative reviews but after everything i’ve experienced this needs to be put out there. Usually I end my reviews with a Thank you. Shame on you Ann Marie.

Yesterday around 6pm I went to Lifttime Fitness to drop my 3 year old daughter off at the children's center. After exercising, I went to the children's center to pick up my daughter at 7:15 pm, but no one found her. I opened the bathroom door and found her trembling on the floor alone! I asked the staff when my daughter went to the bathroom and she replied that it was 6:45pm for a shift change. I was shocked that my daughter cringed inside for 30 minutes by herself without any supervision! ! ! Later, the staff refused my daughter to stay inside for a long time. I asked to check the cameras but was told only the general manager has access. The staff called the general manager and said that the general manager lives nearby, is on the road, and will arrive soon. We waited there for 40 minutes and the last woman in black came to the children's center and said something to the staff and she left. We didn't realize at the time that the woman was the general manager. We found out after looking at her LinkedIn profile picture. Then we waited another 10 minutes and another woman came to us and said she was the duty manager and she told us the general manager wouldn't be here tonight and we had to wait until the next morning. We called liftime the next day and was told the general manager would not be in the office for at least 1 week! We are so outraged at how they handled it! You must learn how to respect your customers, you represent LT. Where does your salary come from? Nor would I recommend Kids Camp to other parents.

Now I understand why this gym has a three star review. I’ve been to three of the Lifetime branchs in Michigan and I have a no complaints, but this is not the case with the Rochester branch. The staff is so rude, and seem very full of themselves. I was on some equipment and was told to get off (very rudely) by an instructor as a class was beginning. I would have had no problem with this if he wasn’t so rude! His tone and attitude said a lot. I always talk about how clean the Lifetime gyms are, but this was not the case at Rochester!! It was disgusting, I did not feel comfortable enough to use to showers or the pool. I pay $260 a month for a horrible environment. A place that is supposed to make me feel healthy and happy, has done nothing but disappoint and sadden me. Would have been better off going to one of the $10 gyms.

I spent nearly 6 hours a day training here 7 days a week and was banned because apparently when I sweat the smell bothers people. If you are planning on coming here and working hard I suggest you look elsewhere. This is not the gym for conditioned athletes.

Way overpriced and what’s for? it used to be $100 per person before pandemic it was ok but $179 per person is too much. They keep raising the prices. Me and my 4 friends we all cancel our membership last years because of the pricing. There are a lot of gym opening and a lot less pay then this. But thanks 😯😐

It was ok. My boyfriend has a membership and I went with him. My biggest issue is the towels. They aren't plus-size friendly (I'm size 18) so I have to use two and hope I don't traumatize someone with a nip slip or worse. The showers in the women's locker room were slimy and had hair in them, so I really hated that shower. Life Fitness doesn't let you bring a person more than once every two months-you have to pay for your spouse/partner to go with you more than once every 60 days. I can tell that they don't see me as a person, but solely as a source of money. It feels awful. I'll be trying to find somewhere less expensive, more inclusive, and cleaner. This company doesn't give me good vibes.

My son Alex got a haircut here and it is horrendous. There are some bald spot on his head and it is unacceptable. My poor son is embarrassed to go to school on Monday now, and this has caused him self confidence issues. Today, after the haircut, my son even asked me to get some hair growth gummies and serum because he was so embarrassed to go to his friend’s house afterward. I will never ever let him come here for a hair cut again, and I hope that you guys hire better hair dressers or implement some employee training for the sake of the rest of the children getting haircuts here. I cannot believe how bad my son’s hair cut is. When I saw the final result, I tried so hard not to laugh at my son, but I couldn’t hold it in. It is so frustrating that my son has to go through this. Monday, I am going to the pharmacy and getting him depression meds because he is going to need it as a result of this hair cut.

It's a very nice gym. There is a great pool area with a lane pool, kids pool and a nice spa. The toilets are always impeccable with lots of facilities such as towels, and more. There are plenty of activities for kids. It was the thing that attracted me the most. Having a toddler in the winter can be hard. But there, you have plenty of resources, space, and worth the price. The staff is also very very friendly.

This gym is my favorite of all time but the staff is horrible and rude. We are paying over $100 a month to be harassed by the staff acting like they own the gym, you are just a WORKER they can fire you any second. The front desk is direspectful and just out right roof af. They need new desk employees.

Very overpriced. Before the pandemic, before they cut back their services and hours, the cost was justified. Then they reduced their open hours, reduced the available hours of the special services they offered, and increased their monthly membership prices. With a multitude of other excellent gyms available, with better hours, for less than half the cost, there is just no way to justify the membership.

Members for 20+ years. Per the staff the club is NOT liable for any injuries or anything so enter at own risk! Just getting worse! Rules change by the hour. Kids area provides mostly coloring for the kids nowadays. My child was injured and I've tried contacting management 3x by phone and no call back, 1x in person and Noone ever gets back to you or cares. BUT your membership contract does say you'll have annual price hikes. We've been yelled at by staff too many times to count for literally trying to enter and just utilize what we pay for.

We usually go swimming once a week, sometimes twice a week. The hot tubs are really large and not usually very busy. The water slide is an absolute blast and so fun for the kids. They always have activities scheduled. Staff is always friendly and awesome, the cafe has a lot of healthy options and full salon. Steam room, sauna, rock climbing, academy (kinda like a day care except they’re always doing something fun and active) basketball courts you name it. Tennis courts at the Rochester location.

Staff is great. No issues there. Pickleball is not a sport and will never be a sport. Basketball court should be used for basketball. GameFace is non existent. Upgrades to the weight room are aesthetically pleasing. Would like to see more emphasis on Strength & Conditioning. Pickleball should only be near the tennis courts. It's an absolute waste of time and allocation of resources.

I’m going to give this location five stars only because I was extremely impressed with how humongous this place was. This has to be the biggest lifetime location I have seen. My daughter goes here and raves about it. It’s extremely nice that they have the outdoor pool for the summer. The only thing I would probably give this a thumbs down on is they charge $40 for one day to come here as a guest.

I have belonged to Lifetime Fitness since 2010. I love the facility. However, it has gotten so overpriced over the years. You change whether you are platinum, onyx, or whatever title you want in order to sound more elite but still offering the same services. There is not an abundance of staff wandering around to explain the rising costs. It would be nice to see corporate take care of their communities, the loyalty, and lower their members' prices.

50 $ for a day pass even if you have a membership at different locations. Plus, the night-time concierge has a crazy mood. Maybe if they get rid of her, the gym will start going upwards

Wow gym orientation this morning! This Jim is phenomenal. It is huge! Has a lot to offer and is close by. Just checking to make sure my AARP United Healthcare secondary insurance covers the yearly 179 membership cost.

This is the absolute best gym. The classes are great, all of the coaches are so encouraging, you can tell they really hire the best. The front desk staff is always so friendly & helpful also. Definitely worth the price!

Consistently friendly and professional staff - front desk, management, and instructors are all amazing here. I love their pickleball open play community and group class instructors. The amenities here are consistently clean and maintained and the yoga studio is relaxing and offers a great variety of classes accessible for all levels. Highly recommend lifetime solely on this locations experience!

Been a member for 20 years, and when I walked in to scan my membership card an employee Davina Nikaj began sceaming at me and harassing me. Cannot believe lifetime lets their employees call their members fat, engage in gossip, and bring drama into their establishment. Very professional workplace! Not to mention the sharing of confidential information including the time sheet of when members sign into the club! Really a safe environment for members.

A nice gym! Albeit quite pricey. The environ's are really nice, there is a decent amount of equipment, their hot tubs / steam showers are great, and they have a nice sitting area in the lockerroom. They even have a place to grab a bite to eat if you need a pick-me-up. The prices are too high though unless you frequently play tennis, parking is rough, and the weight equipment is better @ other lower-cost Lifetime locations

I want to personally thank Carl and acknowledge him for doing a great job stringing my rackets. He actually brought them up to me. While I was playing a match in downtown Rochester. Amazing work ethic, thank you so much. Extremely Thoughtful

Lifetime Gym in Rochester Hills has quickly become my go-to fitness center. The gym's clean, well-maintained facilities and welcoming atmosphere make working out a pleasure. With a wide range of top-notch equipment and various classes catering to different fitness levels, it's easy to stay motivated. I’m also pretty sure this is the one with a pickle ball area. The friendly, knowledgeable staff are always ready to help, making my workout experience even better. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great gym in the area!

Man, me and my family love this place so much. Wish we could go back. Me and 12 of my relatives all canceled a while back. Only reason I give it 3 stars and only reason why we canceled is because they aren’t 24/7 anymore and a lot people leave work around 11pm or midnight and start work super early in the morning. If only they went back 24/7. My whole family would sign up like that!

  • 5/5 Colin R. 1 year ago on Google
Very big gym. Nice machines. I like that members are able to bring guests in to check the place out. Membership is totally worth it, because all of the classes that they offer are included.

We joined just for the swim lessons for my kids. They learned quite a bit more than the previous places we have taken them within just a few sessions. Antonio is a great swim instructor and my boys enjoy and look forward to their classes every Saturday morning.

Lots of classes. Dedicated staff. Pretty clean. Weight room section is almost ALWAYS full, so it can be hard to get in there, but plenty of room on cardio machines. It might be nice if some of the unused treadmills were removed and more machine weights be put in.
