One
of
the
secret,
pure
delights
hidden
along
Woodward
AVE.
This
is
a
café
that
I
would
regularly
visit
on
my
weekends.
I've
enjoyed
minutes
to
hours
of
conversation,
studying,
and
writing
while
admiring
the
quaint
esthetic
that
this
shop
has
to
offer.
The
interior
has
a
bucolic
vibe
joined
with
a
hipster,
concert,
after-show
feel.
The
tables
and
floor
are
primarily
made
out
of
wood,
but
the
walls
are
brick.
Sitting
in
the
room
itself
is
calming,
almost
like
drinking
coffee
in
a
window
sill
on
a
sun-lit
morning.
The
Staff
have
always
been
kind
to
me.
They
are
friendly
and
unafraid
of
questions
and
small
conversations.
My
only
complaint
is
that
when
they
call
out
orders,
I
at
times
fail
to
hear
them,
and
my
drink
will
be
sitting
at
the
counter
for
quite
some
time,
but
this
has
only
happened
once
or
twice.
I
have
had
a
little
of
everything
in
terms
of
their
menu.
Both
their
savory
and
sweet
options
are
beyond
delectable.
Their
sandwiches
are
large
in
portions
and
delicious.
Their
Coffee
is
rich
and
sweet.
My
personal
favorite
dessert
will
always
be
an
affogato,
but
just
about
every
option
has
been/will
be
enjoyable.
The
price
is
a
bit
high
for
the
amount
of
coffee
you
receive,
and
I
would
even
go
as
far
as
saying
the
food
is
in
the
same
boat.
I
enjoy
both
non
the
less,
and
don't
mind
paying
a
bit
more
for
the
quality
of
food.
I
would
advise
the
coffee
lovers
and
the
interior
admirers
of
the
Detroit
area
to
come
and
visit
The
Great
Lakes
Coffee
Roasting
Company.
I
would
recommend
this
café
for
morning
breakfasts,
casual
lunches,
day-time
dates,
or
simple
alone
time
for
studying/relaxing
throughout
the
day.
