Amazing customer service and fresh ground coffee ☕️

My husband and I had a macchiato and a latte. Both drinks were great. The blueberry crumb cake was so good we bought another piece! The staff was also very friendly and engaging. I'm glad we stumbled across this place while traveling. If we are in the area again we will be back.

Agreed !!!! The Chili Mexican is tops, hands down 5 Stars. Upbeat staff, personable and friendly 5 Stars for making my morning and satisfying my tastebuds with a wonderful Rosemary bagel. Wonderful decor with all the trending exposed detailing that’s in the now!!! 5 Star layout. Beautiful aroma, thanks to the large array of fresh spices. Extremely spacious, and wheelchair accessible. Love this store! Nice coffee roaster and lots of natural plant based powders. Polish woman working here made it special as well. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying as many offerings as I can.

Germack used to make really good coffee. I come here a lot on Saturdays when I’m at Eastern Market. The service and atmosphere are still good, but the quality of the coffee went down significantly in the last several years. They used to make a consistently delicious, velvety cappuccinos. Now, it just tasted kind of sour. Something changed. Still, a great spot for coffee making tools, condiments, and other things.

I come here to buy all my spices. They are so much better than what you get in the grocery stores! The staff was extremely helpful with any questions I had. Always a wonderful experience and you need to stop by here when you are at Eastern Market!

Even on a semi busy Saturday, you’d expect some type of customer service. Staff was uninterested and rude when ordering, and barely acknowledged us during the transaction. Made us feel like an inconvenience to be coming in. Won’t be returning. Drinks were subpar, definitely not what I was expecting

This local gem is located in the heart of Detroit's Eastern Market. They have a wide variety of natural herbs and spices. Their tea selection is great too. I picked up some chamomile tea and bee pollen during my recent visit.

Brown sugar latte is my to go! Lots of teas, herbs and spices. You must stop by while in Eastern Market!

I can't rate how the coffee tastes but I know that my experience was bitter, sour and disgusting. I came in for a cup of coffee on the recommendation of my work colleagues who had just come in several moments before. Spoiler alert!!! My colleagues are white. We were all in the area for a work event. When I walked in there were ZERO customers and only two men working at the front counter. Spoiler alert #2....they both were white. They were talking to each other behind the counter and did not look up to greet or acknowledge me. I stood facing them at the counter and said good morning to them. They still did not break the conversation to acknowledge my presence. I then proceeded to go use the restroom and wash my hands before ordering. When I returned to the counter from the restroom they were still talking and once again did not acknowledge my presence. I then made a call on my cell just to see how long (and how ridiculous this encounter would be). I stood there in front of them facing them with my phone to my face chatting with my mother and they did not bother to invite me to order or say hello. I recorded the ordeal at about 6 minutes (which does not account for the time I was there waiting then using the restroom before I hopped on a call) At that point I was convinced that I would never taste this coffee. I won't be back. If my white colleagues can walk in and come out with coffee in seconds and I can't walk in and even be greeted then this is not the place I want to spend my money and you should think twice about having people like this work at your front counter. I did not wear my invisible work suit that day nor is this the 1950's where only certain people can be served at counters. Get it together and hire people that reflect the beautiful diversity that Detroit has to offer. Deplorable.

Great selection of in house roasted coffee. Large selection of tea as well. My coffee was a Mexico single origin roast. It was well a bodied medium roast that was smooth and balanced with notes of almond.

Very good always fresh coffee. Specially Costa Rica and Peru. Friendly service .

I would like to know WHERE my fav employee Shannon has been?? I’ve came in 3 times and haven’t seen her! She’s so pleasant, very informative when I can’t choose my drink choice & is always in a great mood!

Germack is a cool Detroit experience. The cappuccino was good. The coffee section of the store was clean and inviting. The employees were nice. The only nuts that I could find without industrial vegetable oils or sugar added were the original pistachios, so I bought a bag. They were pretty good.

3 of us planed just for a latte, a capuchino, and a chai with one scone shared. End up we brought 2 bags coffee bean. We really enjoy Tuesday morning environments in this cafe! There are more than coffees to offer. 😉

My Australian coffee snob husband says this is one of the best espressos he has had in the US so far. Grab a cup and stroll the markets!

This is probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had. It’s so acidic it tastes like I’m drinking sour milk.
