Coffee and the cookie I ordered were ok, nothing noteworthy. They forgot to bring out part of my order, which happens. But for the love of God who is in charge of the music? On a Sunday afternoon, why is there techno music playing at a fairly high volume in a COFFEE SHOP? Whoever it is that works there, who thinks we want to hear the bass drop at 1pm on a Sunday, please stop.

Excellent vegan and gluten free baked goods! Please try the vegan blueberry muffin! The atmosphere is also great for studying with plenty of comfortable seating and tables. There are plugs and there is wifi. Very ADA friendly (especially compared to Starbucks or atomic coffee in royal oak). The matcha latte was delish but a little...lumpy lol. I still loved it but it was a little unmixed as sometimes happens with matcha mix. Please note this location is NOT open till 10 as the others are. Closes at 8pm.

Late night dessert and dine in visit. The pianist was great and added a nice touch to the space. They offer a great selection of teas and has vegan options for dessert. Definitely a chill spot. Customer service was good. Decor is welcoming and like that they had fresh plants in the space. Ordered the traverse city cherry tea and vegan chocolate chip oatmeal cookie.

This place has a real modern environment. It's open and spacious with plenty of seating. Friendly staff and you even have a view of where they make some of the food. They have a cute stage that I'm eager to see used. I had their lavender latte and it was absolutely divine. They did exceptionally beautiful latte art.

Love Dessert Oasis! This may be my favorite of the locations. Great coffee, awesome staff, large space with great seating. By far the top coffee shop in downtown Royal Oak.

Among the three Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters (the other two are in downtown Rochester and downtown Detroit), this one is by far the nicest and newest one. I saw that they had crepes on the menu, and I had to try it. I ordered The Classic Crepe which came stuffed with strawberries, bananas, and vanilla ice cream. It was a good but messy combination. I did not like the choice of placement on a much smaller plate than what it should have been. The crepe was huge, and I liked the size of it. But the fact that it is on a plate that is smaller is where I was confused; it should not be hanging over the plate. The coffee shop should consider utilizing a more appropriately sized plate for their crepes. I enjoyed the Honey Cinnamon Latte; however, the honey flavoring was subtle. The cinnamon flavoring was by far the predominant one of the two flavors.

Strong coffee! Cool vibe. This place has a lot of character, and quirky staff to go with the ambiance. We had great coffees and enjoyed all the little touches involved in decorating the space.

This is my FAVORITE coffee shop in Royal Oak! They honestly hit the jackpot with amazing staff and customer service. Every time I'm in here, I have good conversations with the employees and I feel so tended to! I have such a good experience whenever I'm in here. The coffee is also AMAZING & worth every penny. I'd definitely recommend this place to anybody in the area. Can't go wrong! ❤️💜😍

I would have rated higher because they have good coffee, desserts, and outlets everywhere in the space. I did not enjoy seeing a homeless man sleeping on their lounge chair and no one saying anything, only for a second homeless man yelling to walk in. This isn't the place for a customer to see homeless people. They could have bed bugs or scabies, and then your customers sit on the chairs after them. Also, I was not too fond of the fact the floor was disgusting. It looks like it has yet to be swept. There is hair, nasty stains, and crumbs everywhere. The coffee shop needs to be cleaner. I ordered a coffee to dine in, and they handed me a paper cup. When I asked for a glass cup, the staff said, "they ran out of glass cups when I could visibly see clean cups in front of them." The paper cup was hot and hard to hold onto, and she handed me a sleeve that didn't even fit the paper cup. How does a coffee shop run out of glass cups?????? Please explain this......or is it that the staff don't want to wash any more glass cups???

I study here so so often. Outstanding ambiance, hours, and co-working environment which is what keeps me coming back. The menu items are overpriced for the quality. The coffee is hit or miss-- sometimes decent but several times it has been too acidic to stomach. It's awful but I end up chugging the $6 coffee just for the caffeine lol. Not sure if the beans were overly roasted or what, but the sour taste is off-putting. Not a fan of the cheesecake but I would recommend the crepes. They are pretty good. One MAJOR drawback in my opinion is the cleanliness. The fabric benches always have crumbs and debris on them. They need to be vacuumed or cleaned off in someway. The bathrooms are often infested with fruit flies, which on occasion have infested the sitting area, and the trash in there tends to be overflowing. The seat itself isn't a pleasant sight either, to put it nicely. I avoid using the bathroom unless absolutely necessary, which is an inconvenience when at a coffee shop.

They are hands down the best coffee place in the area, if you're in the mood to grab a perfect cup of coffee and get some work done, you found your place. The staff is friendly and drinks are great. This is as good as coffee places get. Big fan!

A really great craft coffee shop. Impeccable design, great customer service from the staff, and super good product. Clean, with a good selection. The downfall: again, will not serve coffee in anything reusable, which creates more waste in the environment. Kindness level makes you feel at home here and I'd be happy to come back again. I had a pour over Uganda and it's a great coffee.

Live music, amazing coffee, and desserts. It was a great way to end Friday night with friends after dinner. I had a Panama pour over and a slice of baklava cheesecake both were wonderful! The staff was helpful and attentive. We will be visiting this location again!

I never thought I would be so in love with vegan pastries. This place had some incredible pastries, and the coffee was unlike any other. I can never really make a decision when visiting a new coffee shop. The lady in the front at the register was very helpful in helping me make some decisions. I ultimately ended up getting a hot coffee and iced coffee and a vegan muffin. I think I can't remember, but it was delicious. I know that for sure.

thia is my go-to coffee house. They have a great selection of hit and cold teas that they steep for you. They have a nice selection of coffee drinks with non dairy options and some yimmy desserts/snacks. There is always plenty of seating with a fun open mic night on Wednesdays. The first two hours are free in the parking structure out back and use the back entrance.

Excellent hot chocolate at good prices. Atmosphere is pretty hip and the service was very friendly. I recommend it if you're interested in checking local coffee spots

Clean, has a calm atmosphere. Tasty cheesecake and pastries. Coffee is good, but I wish they offered larger sizes (bigger than 12 oz)

I enjoyed being here! The coffee was very yummy. We ordered a latte and a bag of coffee beans. They ground the coffee beans for us and they smelled amazing for weeks. The space was limited. We had to wait for someone to leave to grab a table. And others had to leave because their weren’t tables available. The pastries aren’t made daily, be sure to ask when they are made.

This wonderful, locally owned chain was started in Rochester and has moved its way to Detroit and Metro areas. Its presence in Royal Oak has been more than welcome through the years of growth. There's an edgy, industrial warmth. There's plenty of space to find a private nook to work or catch up with friends and colleagues. You may even catch your favorite local artist as there is a stage reserved for open mic nights typically held in the evening. They also serve house-made desserts such as cheesecake, cookies, baklava. The coffee is *insert chef's kiss* For our friends without a caffeine craving, there is a house made hot chocolate that is rich and decadent.

This place is where I go to write for a few hours, the food is. It's SO good. The spinach puff pastry is a blessing from god. The hazelnut croissant. God bless. It's open late!! 10pm!!! It's very nice to come here around 7 and leave around closing. I often get in fights with my mother and escape here a few hours. The atmosphere is soothing and calm, perfect for just spending a few hours doing work. This is the best coffee shop in royal oak.

We got coffee and cake to go, it was an incredibly long wait for our food and drink. Not sure if this is the norm but an almost 30 minute wait for a piece of cheesecake and hot chocolate after we'd ordered was unexpected.

Decent overall spot open late for your dessert fix or coffee addiction. Cheesecake was really moist and delicious, try the banana Nutella. I also recommend the Michigan Cherry herbal tea phenomenal taste. I will say five bucks for a piece of cheesecake I don't know good if your mood to celebrate but.....

I love this coffee shop. The drink are good and the service is even better. Staff always has a smile on there face and are down for friendly chit chat when it's not too busy. Me and my girlfriend love to spend our afternoons here studying. They also have GREAT cheese cake and Gluten Free Cookies.

I love it here! Great drinks, delicious pastries, and a wonderful atmosphere. Any time I am in Royal Oak I stop here for a quick drink and have even come here to work for a few hours a time or two for a change of scenery! The baristas are highly knowledgeable and can explain the specifics of the coffee when I need it! I really enjoy coming here!
