Very cozy, homey, modern, inspiring, bright and clean cafe! With health options from drinks to snacks. Their peanut butter smoothie bowl is a must try. They also have amazing flavors of green and white tea. Very friendly staff as well. Parking structure within walking distance.

I was looking for a different coffee shop to go to in Royal Oak, and this one appeared in my search results. I thought I would give it a try. I typically do not like to do my homework in a coffee shop; however, this coffee shop was different. It was much more quite than other coffee shops. Everyone there was actually doing work rather than socializing. It was shocking to me because people will typically be more social in a coffee shop. But I was okay with that because I like to do my home work in more quite environments. On the other hand, the seating was not the most comfortable. The lower tables have wheels on all four legs, and they do not properly lock. This made it a little annoying if I slightly moved the table would roll in every direction. I ordered The Office Monster smoothie. It was made with yogurt, peanut butter, banana, and spinach. When the cashier said spinach, it threw me off because of the other ingredients in it. I never really had a smoothie with that type of a combination; rightfully so, I gave it a try. The peanut butter and the spinach were the two dominant flavors in the smoothie. It was a good balance of flavor. But the smoothie is a little over priced at $7.50; at most, I believe roughly $5.00 for it is more reasonable. I had great service. The cashier was kind and respectful. He made my order quickly and had a high sense of urgency to make my order. Thank you for the great service.

Go to place to study in Royal Oak! Best coffee in town and the servers are always super nice and pleasant. The atmosphere is also great and there are nice couches and chairs to break up the desks in there. They also always have donations with their drinks/food which is pretty cool. The recent construction nearby didn't even affect them as they're still always full.

New to the RO area and stumbled across this coffee shop. I was initially super excited because I love the vibe, the aesthetic, and even the coffee --it's a super chill space with just enough background commotion to keep me focused but happily distract me when needed; however, I was very displeased with the customer service from a particular barista/cashier. My first time coming in, I had some questions (of course I did because I had never been here). She was not helpful at all and actually was very rude and came across smug, as if I should already ~know~. I brushed this off, giving her the benefit of the doubt and thinking maybe she was just having a bad day. WRONG. Next time I came in, she was the exact same way, if not even more impolite. While I really enjoy coming here for work & school purposes, the customer service that I have received from this woman is swaying me to never come back. I'm not sure if it is because I am new to the area and not "a regular" but as a CUSTOMER service employee, she could be a little more kind.

Great coffee shop and coworking space. The coffee and food are really good, especially the salads and sandwiches. And the service is outstanding. We held a company meeting here and used The Garage as our meeting space. There were about twenty of us and it was a tight fit, but it worked and we had a successful offsite meeting. There are also several rooms for holding team meetings or for a more private workspace. And the location is close to plenty of great attractions in Royal Oak.

The coffee is okay. Pastries are great! Prices are average. The atmosphere is really nice and conducive to a meeting, date, or study. Open, bright, and colorful. Not a super great craft coffee scene, however.

Nice place , lots of seating for a coffee shop. Few issues...they don't call out your name when order ready so my coffee sat there until I decided to see what was taking so long . If you get a bagal with cream cheese make sure u get it on the side because they put way to much on. But I feel good place to go and chill or get work done. Was a pleasant atmosphere. I will go back.

Decent coffee, but staff wasn’t super pleasant / namely, the male employee with a beard (the manager?). On the day I visited (11/24), apparently they closed at 5:30 instead of 6. Received two “wrap it up announcements” about 20 minutes prior. When I was leaving at 5:30, the male employee said sorry.. he locked the door, I needed to leave out the rear of the building. So, I did. When I made my way to the front of the building, was greeted by the same employee that was opening the front door to let people in and he gave me a supremely dirty look when I asked him “I thought the door was locked.” Overall, just a rude vibe. I like custom coffee shops a lot, but when I’m in Royal Oak, think I’ll stick with Starbucks. Don’t really need to feel like I’m inconveniencing someone by being there.

Went in for some coffee and a bagel. They had ants in the case and when I told the girl working she didn’t seem very concerned. Said she’d let the manager know and was in no hurry to correct the issue. They ended up throwing away the bagel but that was it. Went back to the case 45 mins later and the ants were still going up the case through a crack / gap. They proceeded to toss out 2 more bagels and placed the rest in a take away clear container in the case, still selling them all. The top shelf still remained which had muffins and other pastries. Avoid this place at all costs, they have zero value for cleanliness or care to address / correct the problem. I hope the health inspector does something ASAP.

The smoothies were a bit bland- my friend got the triple threat & I the banana, but they weren’t necessarily bad. I did get a mocha w/ a double shot that was delightful, though! We also had muffin which was good. The barista & cashier were pleasant + efficient, and it’s always nice to see the charities that they’re donating too.

This place is adorable, conveniently located and a great place to meet to give an impromptu tarot reading! Seating is comfortable. The ambiance is eclectic and cute, but also distinguished enough to do work, if that's what you need. Good coffee. Friendly staff. Love the separated recycling bins! Close to a parking garage with the first 2 hours free makes for a happy girl!

I work from home and it's nice to get out of the house sometime. I have gone to Atomic/ for a while now but staff seems to get more rude each time. The office coffee shop is hands down the greatest coffee show. They serve food all day (but I think they stop like one hour before closing), staff is BEYOND kind and LGBT friendly. It's important to have a place you love where you can feel satisfied about spending your money.

Amazing spot. Had a very productive work day outside of my home office. Reserve a table on their website.

  • 5/5 Sean H. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent place to work and get a bagel and coffee. Quiet to get things done and focus. The only place in RO that I know of that brews a light roast. Coffee is excellent. They don't sell you burnt garbage. Bagels are delicious and they serve real cream cheese. Not whipped garbage cut with air. The quality of this place shines through. Keep it up, don't change a thing

My go to coffee/tea shop. Friendly staff ALWAYS. Pre-COVID was a great place to work from, obviously not so much now but their safety protocols are top notch. Best London Fog latte I’ve found in the area!

  • 2/5 Alexis H. 3 years ago on Google
I understand all of the Covid rules. Makes complete sense. It’s about the delivery. Felt uncomfortable and we went to the coffee shop down the street with the same exact rules(minus the entering card info for a table reso part in a empty coffee shop). Won’t be visiting here again.

Quickly becoming the best coffee shop in Royal Oak if not the entire metro Detroit area. The ambiance is quite unique and the whole set up is very inviting. The baristas sometimes experiment with new blends and part of your purchase goes to charity. I've lived in Royal Oak for about 2 months and come here every other day.

  • 5/5 AmandaPaige 3 years ago on Google
These people are honestly so nice every time I go in and are doing so much to keep people safe and stay open. They’ve gone out of their way to help me as a customer once when I requested raw coffee beans and I am very grateful for that service that they didn’t have to provide. I need to explore more of their menu but I usually get black coffee and it’s a good experience.

Divine. That's all I can describe it. I've had their snickerdoodle latte and their toffee cookie flavor latte and both have made me giddy with absolute joy. I also enjoy the plants and the over all themes of the interior. Very homey yet very open. I absolutely love their little tip contest. The most recent time I went I voted for witch over vampire.

  • 5/5 Candice 8 months ago on Google
Really enjoy coming here for coffee and to read. The workers are always super kind and helpful. I love that they do monthly special drinks and donate to different causes. Their white chocolate mocha (you can also add other flavors to it which I recommend) is probably one of the best I've ever had. My only issue here is sometimes they don't call out the drinks loud enough, and the music choices are pretty bad. Enough so they can cut into your focus. Dare I say even worse than Starbucks. I've heard like early 2000s one day and then cover instrumental music of regular pop the next. It's super random. Certainly not enough to detract my want of coming here, though. I'd keep in mind that when this place gets busy, it is a decently long wait. The cashier is often also making drinks, so you might have to wait to order. Still, not enough to make me leave. I really do enjoy this place a lot. It's worth a try.

Perfect coffee shop vibe. Friendly staff, good coffee at a fair price, lots of comfortable seating and windows to watch the world go by. Donate a portion of every order to proceeds.

Lovely atmosphere, plenty of seating/outlets and fantastic coffee. I wish they would give the names of what they're brewing that day but the quality was fantastic. Some of the best (not watered down at all) cold brew. 5/5 will be returning :)

Love the vibe in here. Came here around 1. Completely full which was a good sign. And great coffee. You have to try their white mocha latte. Best I’ve had in a while.

This is a very cool coffee shop. It always has people working and meeting here anytime of day, but it's a rather quiet place. There are lots of seats and tables. They have a good selection of coffee and a few bagels and desserts to snack on.

Stopped in today for a hot I'll white mocha while we were out walking around. My beverage was perfect. Not too hot, very smooth and refreshing. Didn't have to wait long either! Very impressive. I'll be back so soon!!! Such an afternoon delight.

Great coffee, even better staff. They are the nicest people and go above and beyond as a coffee shop. The week is not complete without a coffee and plain bagel or working from the office. Best coffee place around.

Such an open space with tons of seating & natural lighting- perfect for studying (as a student, can confirm). The drinks are great too- my gf got a smoothie & i got an iced americano with a bit of lavender syrup. Imma be honest, i didnt taste lavender... it tasted like they had added plain sugar. They also have a ton of food options that i will have to try some time.

Lady did not rush us at counter. Very nice. Ordered with friend cookie cold brew / espresso frap/ egg and cheeses bagel/ banana loaf/ and the boss sandwich. Total was 33 dollars. Food tasted moderately good. Cold brew was nice and smooth. So was the frap. Banana loaf was the show stealer. Warm and large piece. Overall, would come back. Nice and quiet setup. Better then McDonald’s or Tim hortons and Starbucks

  • 2/5 Courtney K. 2 years ago on Google
The two stars are for the staff who are doing the best can with what they have. Very nice people. Advertised as a place where you can print, but one of the printers doesn't work most of the time and the other one is from a third party where you have to load $5 before using it! Next time I'll just wait a day and go to the library.

  • 5/5 Carolyn N. 1 year ago on Google
Courtney, Matthew and the other staff are always friendly and helpful. I use the office spaces a few times during the week and they are always very accommodating with my cancellations and scheduling last minute! I appreciate them! Also good breakfast sandwiches and good Lavender Lattes!

The Office Coffee Shop is incredible! The atmosphere is very welcoming and perfect for whatever the occasion whether it be studying or catching up with friends. They have tables, lounge chairs and great lighting. All the staff are phenomenal, kind and professional. The drinks and food are excellent, from their cold brew, expresso drinks and sandwiches. 11/10.

Always a nice spot. Very affordable. Known for the offices you can rent out at a fair price. (i believe the medium, 4-6 person room was 20 an hour, very private and great for business, dnd, and anything in between)

We ordered two iced lattes and the server was nice and told us the best coffee on the menu was the pistachio vanilla iced lattes. The large lattes came under $11.00 and I just thought they were ok. The interior of the coffee shop had a cool vibe, but the flavour of the coffee didn’t really come through to me.

I really liked this place. My wife and I originally stopped here just to get a coffee and sit for a bit while we waited to go somewhere else. I love this place. Definitely come and visit. It is very unique and I feel that they strongly care for our environment as well. Their bathrooms have black board walls so there is a lot of cool and unique righting and art work. The inside has a very calm vibe so if you wanted to get some work done this place is great too. They even have a scanner and printer and I think a fax machine that you can use as well. If you are in the area and just have some time to kill please stop here. It's FANTASTIC!!!

I've been coming to The Office almost every week (two-punch Tuesday ftw) for over a year now and have really enjoyed the great atmosphere and sense of community here. It's truly a fantastic place to study or meet. It has consistently been clean, always has a great playlist going and has very delicious drinks--with a portion of your payment going to a charity of your choice, to boot! Manager Miles is the perfect face of the business! He's extremely knowledgable and passionate about the coffee craft (check the pour-over tattoo on his arm) and is very creative with caffeine (seriously, give him a couple preferences to work with and he'll be sure to concoct your new favorite drink)! His cheery attitude and friendly personality brighten my day every time that I come in!

I created a membership. Can't access "BOOKING CALENDAR" per your websites instructions and I can't seem to reach anyone on the phone. The management contacted me and helped me book a room after voicing concerns online. That was very helpful! I still think the website coiuld use some help as I still had the issue with website. The restaurant/ office space was what one could hope for and the staff were very nice. The conference room fit 9. It was snug, but for what we were doing it worked out really well. I will be using this space again and would recommend. Just be weary of the website or plan the space more than 2 days in advanced so that you can see your booking options.

First time visitor and I'm instantly a regular. The place is dog friendly which is all you really need to know. To sweeten the deal, the Manager Miles gave me the most welcoming introduction to the shop, the city, and everything in between. The level of hospitality here is completely unmatched in the Greater Detroit Area. Kona and I love this place already.

I stopped in with a friend to grab some coffee and the atmosphere was wonderful. The espresso is amazing, the music wasn’t too loud, it was clean, and the staff was so kind. There were two girls working and they were just so sweet and helpful, I didn’t get their names because there are no name tags, but one had tattoos and the other had glasses. Plus, you can rent out offices for private meetings which is super cool. I think my favorite part was the charity though. They donate to a charity and you get to choose, how cool! Will be back again!

I drive from Novi to get their coffee - enough said. Not to mention, you get to choose from a handful of charities every time you make a purchase. I love the office spaces they have available for rent. My group came in for a meeting when our regular spot was closed, and the staff were super accommodating. We had a spill, and the drink was replaced immediately, and the clean up was fast. At the end of the night, we were seen out with smiles and well wishes. I will make another trip there just to try some of the baked goods and a seasonal drink.

I just had an awesome chat with Miles, a member of the Office Coffee Shop staff. I just love his attitude and the way he lights up when he is helping a customer. He goes above and beyond the job description. Like when I was eating my delicious El Cubano sandwich that his colleague made. You all must try it! At one point I got full and when he walked over to see if anyone needed anything, which I love, I asked if he had a carry out container. He right away offered to take the sandwich and box it up for me. He always has a smile on his face and a bounce in his step. That's what the Office Coffee Shop does for customers like me. You may come in to get some work done or have a chat with a friend. Whatever issues you have, the friendly, laid back, homey, cozy atmosphere really helps you to chill and be productive. Plus the food and drinks are yummy. It's snowing as I look outside their huge windows and write this. But as I prepare to go out into the cold I will leave with a smile on my face and a bounce in my step. Thanks Office Coffee Shop for being an awesome Royal Oak locally-owned business. Keep up the good work!
