I would love to give this place a better review because it’s so close to us. However, this place is just failed to impress. They’re ordering system is a little wacky I would rather speak to a person or talk to someone. That lack of interpersonal connection is part of the psychology of food. It’s not cool. Also their food is subpar. I’ve only eaten breakfast here and every single time I order a scramble Or skillet. They literally give you some toast barely posted each time. Along with that whack toast are a bunch of potatoes (not what the menu says) and a little egg on top. Not to mention I have a handicap access list and it never works for me. Someone always has to help. So the place is kind of expensive and a half so for what you get.

The hamburger was overworked and as a result on the tougher side. It was also under seasoned - it could have used a pinch of salt and pepper. You don't get to order w a person, only a kiosk, so there was limited opportunity to personalize the burger. I prefer medium-rare, but everything comes out well done. The price was quite reasonable, at only $7 for a decent sized cheeseburger.

The older lady at the Starbucks was rude and didn't speak. She frowned her face and turned her back to me. I ordered a turkey breakfast burrito and coffee. She never greeted me and acted as if I was bothering her by being there. Based on the awful service I'll never be back. They need better counter people working the front. Never ever will I be back

I loved how quick the food was, the prices were reasonable for downtown, and I liked the ordering kiosks. You have to pay by credit card FYI. They have some grab and go snacks/salads/sandwiches/drinks which you can take and scan at the kiosk. You could also order hot food there and they'd call your number when it was ready. The nashville hot chicken sandwich was good, I added mayo and buffalo sauce bc it needed more sauce, but they had all of that at the pickup spot. Fries were good. There's also a Starbucks. There are tables to sit at and also a little fireplace and more cozy area next to the Starbucks. Pizza/pasta place wasn't open when I went so it was just burgers, chicken sandwiches, and breakfast items. The prices were good, $7 for the chicken sandwich, about $2.50 for fries, $2 for a bottle of pop.

Sandwich tasted awesome. But a 40 min wait for JUST a sandwich is ridiculous! They only had two ppl working the grill area when proper staffing would have been 4 ppl for that section during lunch hour. 1 - burgers 1- chkn 1- garnish 1-salads would help run more smoothly. Moreover my coworkers food was taken by another patron so we had to wait an additional 15 mins. She never got to eat at all during our hour lunch.

The food been quite disappointing lately. They stop serving slices so I bought a whole pizza. Not only was it not sliced, it was covered in Parmesan cheese. The slices never have parmesan cheese already on it. And it's pretty soggy. These are issues I've never had with the slices. I really wanted to throw it away but I hate wasting food.

Decent place for quick lunch. Self service kiosks are efficient once you figure them out.

This pace is terrible. The food is bad and they don’t care. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it had a grey chicken tender on it that was not at all grilled and looked like it came strait out of a microwave. Took one bite, couldn’t stomach it, and tossed the whole thing in the trash.

Hours are wrong and kitchen wasn't open. Tried the cold item options and none of the sandwiches would scan. Thought I was just doing it wrong so a friend tried it and they still didn't work. For a place that already ends up being a last resort for people that work in the building, this place is disappointing on so many levels.

I eat here a lot for convenience but food is hit or miss. Today, it was great. fair prices and if they cook it right.... delicious

There are not a lot of grocery places with healthy options in the immediate area. This was a good choice for that. You order and pay at the kiosk. You can dine at a table, in the coffee bar, or relax in front of the fire place in a den setting. Prices are a little higher, but you are paying for convenience.

This place is so disappointing and there's a reason most of the people who work in this building order doordash instead. Last time I ordered a burger from here, it was completely raw, like falling apart, in the middle and had all the wrong toppings. After being so disgusted by that burger, I haven't had the stomach to eat here again.

Ordered the original crispy chicken sandwich and fries like I always do and they give me a piece of chicken that looked like a tender I had more bread than meat and the fries were on the skimpy side as well not to mention waiting a good 20 to 25 minutes for the food. I took it back and they didn't even TRY to rectify the problem. I hate when Kemp isn't there cause those new people ARE NOT IT! And their attitude is HORRIBLE especially that lady!! I wish I could upload the picture of my food😡 Update: Here's the food 😡

Their food is okay but nothing special. I ordered a vegetarian omelette, but once I started to eat it I found pieces of bacon. They apologized and explained they use the same pan for all of their omelettes, which is stupid for obvious reasons. I was given refund but I haven’t had an omelette since due to the fact I don’t eat meat. They are overpriced and their cooks can be rude sometimes. Usually only go here as a last option for lunch since I work in this building.

Stick to the pizza. They get flustered with anything else. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, waited 45 minutes, and when it was finally "ready" my chicken was still frozen and my vegetables cold. Cook was baffled when I showed him the food because it "had just come off the grill". Likely story. Walk down the street and get food from anywhere else.

Yum! Went here for lunch since I work a few blocks away. I love this place. I got the pea shoot salad and it was delicious. All my coworkers loved their sandwiches and burgers. The set up is really fun. You get your drink, candy, and extras first. Then you use the kiosk to ring up your "extras" and order your food. A ticket will print with your number. When your food is ready they call your number and your number turns green on the digital board. You can eat in it take it to go. I think they have an online way to order too.

Good food! Not too pricey! Great atmosphere! Order and Pay by Kiosk.

The food here has always been very good, wether it be a sandwich, pasta, or pizza. The kiosk ordering system seems very efficient to get the order it. The seating may be a little short for the lunch crowd. The modern design seems to work well.

The Press Room and Market is located in the heart of Detroit in the former Detroit News building. It's a great place for a casual break if you work in the area or are just visiting downtown Detroit. There are actually two parts to this venue: The Coffee Bar (open 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.), featuring breakfast sandwiches, pastries, coffee and smoothies, includes a cozy, relaxing area to sit and gather your thoughts for the day. The second area, open 11:00 - 7:00, is the Press Room Café with a lunch/early dinner menu featuring artisan pizzas, salads, soups, pastas and deli sandwiches. The choices are limited, but the quality is high, based on our experience. You'll order using a computer kiosk, then pick up your order when your number is called.

It's an elective and hip place to eat lunch. Unique in the fact as it also serves as a convenient store.
