I stumbled across Deli + Coffee back in April on one of my trips to Detroit when I was looking for a coffee shop in the area. I'm not sure if they were new because of the renovations going on but I was glad to find them. I loved the atmosphere, the music and the friendly staff. I was introduced to their pecan praline banana bread which was absolutely amazing. I recommend giving it a try.

This great little sandwich shop in midtown has a short sandwich menu but great sandwiches and friendly staff. I had the Big Al, which was on point (though just a warning, you *will* need those napkins) with turkey, avocado, siracha mayo, lettuce, tomato, and cheese, and chips on the side. They don't skimp on the meat and cheese here. My colleagues tried the Francis and Mad Alice and I liked them too. They've got good iced coffee and coffee shop type drinks as well, and a variety of pastries - I can attest that the lady fingers were good!

I was looking at all the meat stacked pictures online and decided to give this place a try....my sandwich came with 2 slices of deli meat. Bummer. And they didn’t include the add-on I requested and paid extra for...another bummer. Sure it’s better than Subway, but for $12 a sandwich....is it?

Got carry out this week. Food was very good but pricey. The service at the counter was at best 2 stars. After I placed my order and paid, in an empty restaurant, was told all out of sauerkraut for the rueben. Would probably be a good idea to let the 1 cook let the 1 cashier know this. Anyways, ordered a Reuben with Cole slaw, a uncle Phil (put the Italian dressing on it, it enhanced everything) and some onion rings. All was very good and I'd eat again. Would be 5 stars if the cashier didn't move with disgust that someone was actually ordering and gave good service.

Very good soup! And the staff is so friendly! Oh my goodness. Such a lovely addition to the neighborhood. My office is nearby and I’ll be coming by often ☺️

Food is awesome, mixing 2 flavors of chips idea is soooo brilliant. Misto coffee was fantastic. Workers and owner are definitely the nicest people on earth. Owner actually came out of the counter and asked us what we think. We gave our suggestions and he is just such a nice guy. I will definitely come back to try out more. Didn’t got chance to try the sweets, but they look awesome as well. Nice going. I also like the whole setting in store. Keep the good work!!!!

Crazy EXPENSIVE! $15 FOR JUST A TURKEY SANDWICH! I told them I didn't want the meal, and they said I might as well because they charge you for it...... Go to Delite Cafe, way better and much better price!

Best sandwiches in the D. Top-shelf ingredients blended to make a taste that'll have you happy you decided to give it a try. The owner and staff are some of the nicest people you'll meet in the restaurant business, making the entire experience one that will make you a return customer. We'll be back for sure.

This guy made my night he was so friendly. I took a long time to decide but he was incredibly patient. He made the food quickly and I was surprised at how delicious it was. I got the caprese sandwich and I would highly recommend. The fries were standard crinkle cut fries with seasoning. Will be back.

Not the OBGYN. High quality sandwiches in a casual atmosphere. One of the best restaurants along the class corridor. Come and get it folks!

Just had this place for the first time today, and it was so yummy! I got the ZOs sandwich with the fried chicken and omg… amazing. I recommend this sandwich for anyone with a late night craving for some good food.

A Negative Experience Turned Positive: We had a very unfortunate experience happen with my order along with my friends order from work when we first tried this place a week ago. We called in to speak to someone, and we were able to speak to the owner immediately. The care that he showed to make the issue right, is beyond anything I've experience before from a restaurant owner. He took care of us so well, and had made a customer for life out of me, my friend and at work, and others on our team that saw what the owner did to restore our faith in wanting to keep coming here for delicious meals. He cares so much about the reputation of his restaurant and went way above and beyond anything I would have expected to make up for the mistakes that were made during our first visit. These are the types of owners and places that I will happily support and come back to time and time again for delicious meals.

Really tasty sandwiches!! Get the fried pickles too! Loved the classic Detroit canned sodas. Caprese and Philly cheesesteak are both recommended. Pleasant staff

Had a great Reuben and my daughter had The Don (Italian sandwich). Both were made with premium ingredients and very fresh and tasty breads. Shout-out to the staff; both Hannah and Zoe were very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere on a beautiful summer day with the patio doors open and the breeze coming through. Highly recommend.

Average at best. Chicken breast on the sandwich is very dry. A tip for the business - putting shredded lettuce on a hot sandwich makes the lettuce warm and soggy (very unappealing). Overpriced and several better options. Gave it a few tries and it has been consistently bad.

This sandwich shop is side by side with one of my favorite watering holes, and when I tell you, they have the absolute best, fresh sandwiches around. Tremendous portions and served up hot... I'm working my way down the sandwich board now, and I'm three sandwiches in and haven't had a bad one yet! 😋

I went twice it’s no seat in the actual restaurant but all around the building it is the menu isn’t a great variety I brung family members because I came they were very disappointed especially for the price of the food in the menu choice I hope they have inventory because it wasn’t sauces for the food nor eggs or other items stock was out my guest was upset with me the food I had before on both trips was great they definitely can cook it’s just keeping the stuff needing and not charging so much

Incredible atmosphere, art covered walls and laid back. The food is fantastic; delicious sandwiches with quality ingredients hand picked by the guy who runs the place all with clever names. Its welcoming and the employees are lovely. Highly recommend for lunch or a place to plug in and stay a while.

Mediocre at best. The deli meat seemed like packaged meat. My husband ordered the THE DON and the casing on his capicola was left on there, so plastic with every bite. We also ordered lemon and rice soup it was bland and the lemon juice was artificial. I really wanted to like this place but it was just meh.

The food is always great, perfect for a quick bite. It's also conveniently located so it's the perfect stop before a night of drinking to fill your stomach. The place itself is small but you are able to order food at the counter and sit at Cobbs (the bar it's attached to) and grab a drink while you eat, so the size doesn't really matter. The service is awesome and the owners really care about their customers and employess. Radar especially is a crowd favorite. I know many regulars that come back not only to taste his cooking but because they know they will get a good laugh every time they have the pleasure of speaking with him.

For an experience that was not the best at first, the owner was able to turn that around in an instant! This was my first experience with Spread Detroit and the owner did not hesitate to see how he could turn the experience around. I didn’t even know I was speaking to the owner when I was providing my feedback. My feedback was received immediately and instantly seen a change right then and there. Spread Detroit went ABOVE & BEYOND to turn my first experience around. I recommend anyone to go there. You will NOT be disappointed.

We ordered 5 Sandwiches 2 Big Al's (Lettuce Wrap) 1 Texan Burger 1 Uncle Phil (Lettuce Wrap) All of their items were DELICIOUS. Radar (the New Manager), changed the way the lettuce wraps are served and my previous order was the older style, which was delicious but NOT a wrap, so I was disappointed and I complained how it was supposed to be a wrap and not a bowl. Radar was very generous and covered my ordered for today and added in his mom's homemade apple pie. Finger licking GOOD.. all of it. I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

Good location, cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food are what make for a great restaurant. This place has all of those things! I highly recommend the Turkey Avocado sandwich. The dressing they use is really good and all their meat and cheese tasted very fresh. There are a lot of new restaurants opening up in midtown these days and this is one of which that I would highly recommend to anyone! I will definitely be coming back.

A coworker and I went and got the mad max burger and the Henry all of the food was amazing the burgers has 2 1/2 lb patties, bacon, French fries all in-between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches.. Highly Recommend
