Pros. Windsors very own museum. Local history Rotating "showcase" exhibits Kids area. Well priced. Art upstairs Cons. Lots of space not alot in it. Small It could use more. Parking? Here's the thing with this review, I haven't went upstairs yet. I always have kids with me and I am just not willing to let my insane children loose near works of art. Will update this review,if I ever make it up. It's a nice little museum and worth the price.

Nice, interactive, updated museum. Good place for kids as they have a craft room with plenty of activities. Spent a couple hours here and the family pass was only $17. Great value imo.

Very interesting museum with many displays and lots of information. The museum is not just for kids but can be interesting for adults as well. I highly recommend a visit to Chimczuk Museum. One can take as little as an hour or up to two and a half hours to complete the tour of the museum. I myself don't stop and read every single word and look at every single display but on this trip my interest was held much longer. Being from the US and visiting with my wife's family in Windsor Ontario there's a lot of history in which I was not aware.

This is a nice new museum detailing history of Windsor. Attached to the Art Gallery it makes for a good 3 hour visit . The children's area has a number of different hands o a activities for little ones, probably for 8 and under. Building is accessible, clean and the staff is friendly.

The Dinosaur exhibit and scavenger hunt was so much fun for my grandson. The line was so long and everyone was super patient. I was thrilled to see so many people there

After seeing the advertising for the glow in the dark dinosaur scavenger hunt I decided to finally take my kids. After a long wait in the lineup (which was totally fine), my excited kids saw less than 10 minutes of a small display of a couple dinosaurs with some bones. We searched around for 20 minutes trying to find the rest of the display but that was it. The kids did the scavenger hunt to kill some time but the event seemed more suitable for younger kids not really for my group of 6-10yros. What existed of the display was interesting but very small. There wasn't a whole lot to see. We were there for maybe 30 mins and I left to get the kids icecream instead cause they were bored. I recommend for smaller children who are just becoming interested about history and art, they will definitely enjoy the displays. For older kids with inquiring minds who want to know more, they will likely be bored. There just wasn't enough to keep their minds involved. The staff however was polite, pleasant and the museum was clean and well maintained. This museum is good for Windsor's history.

Small but interesting, especially if you have time to read information plaques. I allocated 1,5 hours for this museum, thinking that it would be enough for its size but I definitely needed more time (I also went upstairs to see the gallery). I especially liked the history of Freedom Railroad. My kids loved interactive exhibitions.

Very nice. Windsor has a very rich history. This museum is fun for the whole family, and when you leave you know more than when you came!

The Chimczuk Museum has a lot of interesting local history, starting from before humans arrived until present day. Includes a lot of fascinating information regarding indigenous history, French history, the underground railroad, prohibition, and more! I'm really glad I made the trip!

What a treat! A lovely little museum. There's a great room for kids activities but the rest is for adults. The art gallery was amazing. Get the combo ticket!

We went to the Dinosaur scavenger hunt last night. It definitely was not worth the over 1 hour wait to get in. They should have it during day time hours so the little kids can get in long before their bed time. I would say this event was better for my 5 year old than my 8 year old. They did their best with the little space they had.

GOOD BLEND OF HISTORY AND ART We spent the afternoon at the Chimczuk Museum and it’s a great blend of history of the area, art, and architecture. I even learned some US history that I had no idea about. Not too expensive, and a fun afternoon.

Great Museum with a tone of Information and exhibits of Windsor and the towns that now make up Windsor's history. From the early Natives to the war of 1812 and the battles that took place there. To the pivotal role that region played in the underground railroad and also the years of Prohibition.

Overall good experience, enjoyed the Scandinavian/Slavic exhibit (but I believe that it is temporary). Pushed the Native angle a little too hard in my opinion, and would have like to seen the World War One/Two exhibit expanded. Definitely a place I have suggested to friends and family.

Have been here a couple times and it's really interesting to learn about Windsor and surrounding areas history. It's also cool to see how Windsor fits into the bigger historic events like 1812 and our role in defending against the Americans. Could spend a few hours looking and reading through everything, and they have a lot of events throughout the year as well.

We had visitors recently and decided to take them to the Chimczuk Museum. We spent a great couple of hours looking at Windsor's history. There is a fascinating film of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel being built too. The museum exhibits are displayed well and very interesting as well as informative. Will definitely visit again.

Went for the dinosaur display. A little disappointed. Line up was bad, so they offered a free pass for another day. We ended up getting in but it was only a single room and people were sneaking in from the exit. Went through other parts with the extra time we had though so that was nice.
