I’m pretty iffy with this hospital. It’s very dirty physically….the drinking fountains have sludge in them (the main entrance & chapel fountains), the bathrooms look like a tornado had gone through them, and the cleaning staff seem to do everything half way when I’ve observed them. It gives me the chills especially with todays virus climate. The Starbucks sometimes has a rotten egg smell coming from it and I 100% know it’s from over grown bacteria….someone please give this hospital a proper scrub down. This is the drinking fountain near the main entrance. It’s been like this for 6 days now. Nobody else has noticed this?

The family very excited about my daughter having a baby boy we came to ER around 3:30pm some family members were in the lounge waiting for her to get all set up in her room to make a long story short the staff down in delivery and labor was very unprofessional and not so kind to us African Americans they first said myself which is the moms of the patient the father and the father moms was able to be back with her even tho they said only two at a time the nurse that rings you in through the doors stopped me and with a very nasty tone where are you going and I said to the room my daughter was in and she just went off and started saying only two at a time then what she did was called security up on myself and the father and his moms and it was a big mess one of the security guards made a remark saying Quote: look like I don't get to use my tazer today and was looking at us and start laughing I couldn't believe what we heard and then he walked away I have never experienced anything like this in my life I will be reaching out to the right ppl concerning this racist experience they had my daughter crying and very up set and wanted to go to another hospital that's how upset this made her the head nurse named Nurse Kendra I believe thought that everything was very funny to her not so friendly at all this whole experience was TERRIBLE TERRIBLE 😡😡 this should have never happened. The head nurse Kendra was very nitpicking and made my daughter and my family like we didn't belong here 😕😥

The E. R. Staff, particularly Jessica was condescending, super passive-aggressive to say the least. Unprofessional, because she failed to do her job simply because she didn’t care for me questioning her actions. Unethical, because she left my mother on a bed pad unattended and never came back to assist her with the clean up. and rude, because when asked where was she when needing assistance, she said she got busy and never offered an apology. In addition to the poor service received in the emergency room, the security staff was useless and quick to jump to conclusions based on one sided information. Ineffective!

Well if you thought coming here would alleviate the red tape and overt prejudice that one experiences at Beaumont, you will be wrong. Went to the ER today and you could literally roll a bowling ball, fly an RC plane through the hallways and not hit anyone. The place was empty. It was obvious though that patience by staff outside of the triage and entrance were far too busy to communicate or care for all the 7 patients I encountered. What a joke hospitals in Michigan have turned into. There was a time you went to the hospital because you needed testing done that normal doctor appointments couldn’t handle. Now there’s no thought about a patients comfort at the hospital until your 4-8 hours deep in your stay. Little to no communication with the patient by a real person. Easier for us to answer questions on our phone?? Real personal service……. And testing done only in the order the docs deem necessary which now is by insurance companies demanding 6-10 appointments, co pays, referrals, red tape, and maybe you’ll live long enough to know what’s wrong with you. This place is no different. The comfort of your insurance company is place before yours as a patient.

I hope whoever reads this takes it seriously. The staff in the ER needs to be audited for how they treat black men as patients. I’ve never had a worse experience than I have had at this location. I went in with a sinus infection, an ear infection, and a stomach infection. My vitals were hypertension and I needed medicine for my pain which I reported a 10. Not only did I not receive medicine in the 6 hours I was there I never received a room either. They gave new patients after me a room and left me in the hall way. They are incompetent and prejudice for sure here. When I approached the nurses I can tell by her response she did not care and was aware of what I was about to complain about. I believe COVID has desensitized the one thing that made healthcare workers superheroes. They don’t care anymore!!

Daytime staff is amazing nighttime staff is terrible. The one nurse will leave patient screaming for help in pain I had to call my mom and she called and complained. The nurse then came into my room and started an argument with me saying she did nothing wrong and she's doing her job ya her job sitting on her butt. Kind you not it was my second day after surgery she was so unprofessional and was so nasty to all the patients that needed her help

I would highly advise you avoid this Emergency Room at all costs. I wish I could give zero stars. The ER at Ascension Providence hospital in Southfield treated me like just another incredibly high bill without treating me for the pain I suffered while sitting in the waiting room literally bent over in pain. On Dec 6 I called to ask for wait times in which I was told I would be triaged and have a bed in 15 minutes. I arrived in the ER at 2:15-2:30. My vitals were taken at 5:24 which I guess they are saying I was admitted at this point despite not being given anything for my pain or extreme nausea. An hour later after begging the nursing station for something so I don’t vomit all over the waiting room I was given a zofran pill. I finally saw a PA at 7:30, 5 hours after walking in. I spoke with them for 5 minutes and she told me I would receive pain meds and a scan as she suspected a kidney stone. I was excited at this point as I was told my pain, I can best describe as 9/10 on a pain scale, would finally be treated, I went to ask the nursing station for the pain medication. She had prescribed morphine and I was told I would not be given the morphine because it was liability to give without being in a bed. I was repeatedly told I was next to be provided a bed. At 11:30ish after my mother complained multiple times that no treatment had been provided I was finally taken to the back for a scan. The scan technician said there was no reason it should have taken as long and the scan should have been done before 9 as they weren’t that busy with scans in the back. I was basically forgotten about while I sat bent over in pain in the full waiting room for what has now been 9 hours in an incredibly uncomfortable chair. After the scan I waited another almost 5 hours, total time in waiting room now at 14 hours, when I finally saw a physician for the first time. This was another five minute encounter where it was confirmed I had a kidney stone, I was provided a prescription and discharged. I made a formal complaint to the hospital who called and provided an apology for the horrible care I received. Fast forward a month I receive a bill in the mail with a total of almost $5000, almost $1000 of which I am responsible for. After requesting this be reviewed I was sent a letter that they believe the charges are legitimate. I went to the hospital with a 9 out of 10 pain on the pain scale, passing a kidney stone is said to be similar pain as child birth. I was sat in a crowded waiting room for 14 hours and never treated for my complaint and now they want $1000 from me. I have made a formal complaint to the State of Michigan and hope an investigation will ensue. Please go to Beaumont, the DMC or Henry Ford as I can promise you will get better care. Let me also note that I also was suffering from a COVID 19 infection and they still had me sat in a crowded waiting room. Leading me further to believe they truly don’t care about patients but only the bill they send them getting paid. I’m disgusted!

There’s clearly a reason why this hospital has a low rating. From what I saw the nurses and the floor staff is decent which is why I gave 3 stars but front desk workers specifically the African American lady with the short hair, older, typically sits to the right when you walk in is RUDE. Beyond rude. People like that should NOT be working in the hospital. I never complain as I’m in customer service myself but a hospital is a sensitive place for people and you never know what people are going through so the last thing you need is an attitude for no reason by someone you don’t even know nor knows you. Two days in a row. Couldn’t explain policy just responded with “okay” very rudely when questioning. Do better.

If I could go lower I would. Came in for excessive bleeding, through emergency and basically waited into a pool of my own blood. No nurse attempted to assist and I still don't know what's wrong. You'd do better praying cause you'll need God to make it through the emergency room.

I am a previous providence employee and also an instructor of medical assistants. I had my blood drawn today at the Farmington Hills location and was taken care of by a young lady whose name was Crystal. No name tag. No eye contact and the rudest person I have ever had. I know patient relations and there were none this morning. I obviously was a bother to her and it showed. I don’t often write poor reviews but this morning I was just done with it!

Recently our mother died, and one of my siblings was admitted to this hospital. We had to try a total of 4 times before we were finally able to make contact with our Sibling. And in sorting out how we handle and finalize our plans for our mother they repeatedly provided us conflicting information, denied us even the ability to drop off papers, all while lying to my sibling interred there and providing her information that directly contradicted what they told us. These Hospitals are not a place for folks to find wellness or otherwise receive good practical care.

My 81 year old father is here for testing prior to bypass surgery. After checking into his room they set him up on an IV and got blood all over his sheets. After 4 days and 3 nights we had to ask to have his sheets changed as it seemed appropriate in light of the fact that his surgery was scheduled for 6:45am the following morning. He was needing to shower that evening with special pre-op soaps and it only made sense that he should have clean sheets to sleep in after said sanitary shower. We asked 2 times to have them changed. He ended up sleeping the 4th night of his stay and night before his 6:45 am surgery in the same dirty sheets with all the blood on them. We finally demanded they bring us sheets and we change them ourselves that morning, to which we received major attitude from the nursing staff. This did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling about the staff preparing people for major life threatening surgery. Communication is also a serious problem here. The doctors and nurses apparently don’t communicate well, and/or the nurses just don’t relay information on to the patients in a timely fashion. We sat for hours and hours having several different doctors and nurses come into the room and tell us different things as to what was happening and when and why. It was so confusing and chaotic that it caused not only me, but my father incredible stress and anxiety. We understood delays and such, but to not inform the patient what is going on, and even worse to give them constant contradicting information is beyond unacceptable. This type of experience is certainly NOT something you want to see your loved one go through just prior to having such major and dangerous surgery. Ornery staff is not a good look, and very inappropriate to a patient already stressed about their health and livelihood. This is completely unacceptable and something needs to be done. I have read over and over in these reviews the same lack of quality nursing staff. I am sure there are great hard working people on the staff, but letting bad seeds make them all look bad is unfortunate and unfair. It is clear no one is paying attention to patient needs. Finally, I also concur with other reviews in that I find the rooms quite unsanitary, not well cleaned, faulty equipment, etc. I could go on and on, I just don’t believe anyone will do anything about it, so why waste my time here. Good Luck to anyone unlucky enough to find themselves in the care of Providence Hospital, Southfield. I won’t ever be back, nor will anyone I care about.

MEDICAL RECORDS DEPARTMENT: Do not go here unless you are about to lose your life and cannot get help from anywhere else. We went in for a laceration back in April and my husband's medical records had TWO (2) errors. We have filled out an amendment request, spoke to multiple people over the phone, and now here we are 3 months later - and his records still have not been fixed. You may think no big deal - but ask yourself - how much EXTRA time do you have on your hands to 1. Call Providence Hospital daily while getting disconnected and talking to answering machines? 2. How much time to do you have to go back and forth with insurance companies and your employer? 3. What will you do if your employer DENIES your leave of absence and you don't have proper medical records because the hospital wrote that YOU WERE INJURED ON THE JOB when you clearly stated that you were injured AT HOME? Do you have time for that type of loophole? Medical coverage being denied because your boss says. you weren't at work that day - being hit with bills ALL BECAUSE Providence Hospital of Southfield created a Medical Record saying you were injured on the job!!!!!

Don't waste your time. My mother has been here for 9+ days waiting for 1 diagnostic test. No results no answers. This country has horrible heath care this hospital is a perfect example. They are concerned about billing. Drag out the results so they can bill another day. What a waste of property. Don't let your loved one go to this hospital. Find an alternative... You have been warned. -WM

My 1st time at the imaging center. Not knowing the procedure, I walked to the window to check in, and was immediately told in a very RUDE tone to fill out the sign-in sheet, add the physician script in an open basket with all my personal information for others to see. What is wrong with some hospital employees?! They're the first face of the imaging center. I was expecting to receive negative service from the technicians, too. However, the technicians were amazing! Jennifer and Samantha were beyond kind and compassionate. Thank you ladies for turning a negative situation to a beyond positive experience.

The emergency room kicked me out naked in the middle of the night because I wouldn’t get dressed fast enough. I was naked in emergency room bed. I was tired. I didn’t want to be helped anymore because the staff and nurses were so rude. I didn’t get dressed quick enough so security rolled the bed outside while I was naked so I called the police and then security let me back in to change into my clothes. The next day my Dad brought me back.I was aggravated and provoked about changing into a gown and then given a shirt to sedate me by a psychiatrist. When I changed my 10kt yellow gold 2.0ct diamond pendant cross was stolen by staff. They also stole my $1,999.99 IPhone 14 pro Max and Apple Watch then I was put up on the psychiatric floor for two weeks for no reason.

Was seen in the ER in August for what turned out to be a gallbladder attack. They didn’t have large gowns so I walked to the bathroom and back with my buttcheeks hanging out a few times. I threw up after being given morphine and vomited so forcefully I wet myself, and they didn’t have large adult diapers either. All that aside, during release I asked what to do if the pain returned and was simply told “don’t eat fats” and to “follow up with a surgeon”. I did so and was scheduled for gallbladder surgery this coming Thursday. Got the preregistration link today and at the end it said to come with $6750 to pay my bill on Thursday. My ER bill just came in the mail 2 days ago and is only $800 so I didn’t know where the rest of the balance was from, because my total out of pocket from my insurance is even less than that. Called “billing” which is actually an offshore call center, had the call dropped twice when they were transferring me around to different departments within their call center, every transfer was a cold transfer so I had to verify who I was and why I was calling every single time. Finally they said I needed to talk to the hospital and transferred me to preregistration there, who were exceptionally rude because “patients always call them and they have nothing to do with it and I needed to call billing”. When I tried to explain that billing was the one who transferred me there she cut me off and told me to stop talking, and told her coworkers “this lady keeps trying to talk over me”. Called my surgeon to see if he operates out of any other hospital and told the office staff everything I’d been dealing with. She said she’d call me back but instead I got a call back from the call center to let me know my surgery pre auth was approved. I’m like “great, but that’s not why I was calling”. I called DMC, found a surgeon there, and called my insurance to cancel this pre auth, then left a message for my surgeon to cancel my surgery too. Who knows if they’ll check their messages but it’s their problem now. I don’t trust a hospital to cut me open if they can’t even communicate effectively prior to. I don’t trust they’ll give me adequate care before or post op, or even if I’d survive the surgery at this point. They get the extra star because the staff that did my ultrasound and transported me to and from radiology were kind at least. My advice to them is to find a new hospital to take your skills to. Even though this place is right down the street from my house, I’ll gladly drive the 30 minutes to DMC Huron Valley for peace of mind. Edit: Updating this review to add that I called patient advocate that Friday as well and got an automated system. I left a message. They didn't call me back until the following Wednesday. Patient care is a joke at this hospital.

My experience with Ascension was wonderful. I've been here for a surgery two days ago. The nurses truly care about their patients and with their work and are welcoming. The anesthesiologist gave me comfort before my surgery. My surgeon was incredible and did a wonderful job. My PACU nurse also gave me comfort. They all also prayed for me. Overall, this hospital gets a 10/10. ❤️💛😄😌💖

It's an emergency hospital so I didn't expect to be seen right away. The results of my MRI revealed that I was not going home that day. They hooked me up to an IV and later a slight accident happened when the technician's feet pulled on my IV and almost yanked it off. These things happen but for me it would prove not to be such a good thing. I have small veins and yanked it enough times myself to work it loose to where fluid was leaking out, so they moved it to my right arm. That arm started to swell so they took it out and placed it on my right wrist. That proved to be a bad place and they had to take the line out of my arm and stop the whole process. I just don't understand a nurse walking away and not saying anything more to me until I called her. They have to wait but they ended up discharging me with a prescription. I just wish they could accommodate someone with special needs but I guess they do the best that they can. Having a specialist doctor tell you of a procedure that might get performed instead of your doctor talking to you proved to be a bit jarring. Especially when they wanted to remove my colon. My jaw dropped and they came around 2 more days to see how I was faring. I felt like a piece of meat. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis, so when they put me back on liquids, then soft foods, the menu was anything but soft and clear liquids; the same western diet that got me in trouble in the first place. Processed foods should be taken off the menu at all hospitals. Start over with real nutrition. The healing process would begin in earnest. Thank you.

My grandmother was a patient at this location. She came in with her own walker that she bought out of pocket, when she was discharged the walker was no where to be found! This hospital has lost her walker. My family and I have reached out so many times to the patient advocate and the patient experience manager Maria to no avail. Our complaints/concerns have fallen upon deaf ears! My grandmother needs her walker!!!

I was a little anxious about my surgery here because of some negative reviews, but I have to say, everything went smoothly from start to finish. Maggie in the surgical lounge was fantastic; she kept my family well-informed. The staff during pre-op, surgery, post-op, and discharge were all incredible.

The entire staff at this hospital amazed me! I had a family member in the ICU for a month and they took excellent care of him! They were understanding, personable, professional and compassionate. They had no problem answering my questions daily! When visits were put on hold because of covid, they went out of their way to assist my family member with video chats so we could see each other. One nurse even used his own cell phone when the tablet wasn't working. We are EXTREMELY grateful for the AMAZING staff!! Thank you to you all! God Bless!!

My Experience At Providence Hospital In the Mammogram Diagnosis Department Was Very Unprofessional, Laziness, Unhelpful, Act As Though You Are Bothering Them. Poor Customer Service!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO PROVIDENCE HOSPITAL FOR MAMMOGRAM SERVICE. So Today 8/24/23 AGAIN To Schedule For A Procedure & AGAIN. NOT SUCCESSFUL. The Person Told Me In Scheduling There Name Was Gladys. She Wasn't Able To Schedule The Appointment For Whatever The Reason Was So I Ask To Speak With A Supervisor. The Person Kept Me On Hold So Long Until I Decide To Just Hang Up. I Just Want This Information Put Out About How Unprofessional Some The Employees Are At Providence Hospital. Something REALLY NEED To Be Done. This Is My 3rd Time Trying To Get This Procedure Done At This Location. Well Now The World Knows!!!! We Are Patient Who Need Patient Care. This Is Unacceptable.

My Wife was transferred from another hospital to receive a more intense Physical Therapy Team! As my wife is a Stroke Survivor from 3 years ago! She was recovering beautifully until 6 weeks ago! When she had a medical emergency, choking when taking her medications! She had trouble swallowing! Also, Providence Hospital discovered she had Pneumonia (fluids getting into her lungs). Her Right Leg started Tightening Up, whereas she could no longer walk on her own! It was Horrible! But the Outstanding Therapy Team & the ENTIRE Staffing at Providence Hospital was SO KIND & Patience with Us! Everyone, from the Parking Lot Attendants to the Welcoming Personal to the Doctors, Nurses, Nurses AIDS, to the Custodians & if I’m missing ANYONE, they were NICE TOO! So I just wanted to give a SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to the Entire Team @ Providence Hospital! I rate y’all a 10, that being the Highest score I could give! Please be Encouraged! You’re Doing Something RIGHT! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I have mixed feelings about my experience. The nursing staff were awesome. My surgery went well. I never received a phone call telling me when to report for surgery. I had to call around and find out myself. Lab screwed up one of my blood tests. Also, my Rx was never brought to me from pharmacy. Went home without any pain medication. Luckily I have ahight pain tolerance Again the nursing staff and surgery team were the best!!

I would like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Alley in the Emergency Department. I came into the emergency department with the worst abdominal pain, and she was the best NURSE EVER. Alley took very great care of me always made sure I was comfortable. Alley has the best personality and bed side manner ever!!! I had to get my blood drawn and I hate getting my blood drawn but she stayed by myself and held my hand the WHOLE TIME. Thank you alley. 1000/10. Even though I do not want to come back to the Ed ever, but if I had to come back I would love for her to be my nurse again. THANK YOU ALLEYY!!

I recently went to this hospital for my daughter and when I tell you the patient care tech on the Cardiac Progressive care unit was amazing!! Her name is Colby and she was very attentive to me, and my daughter needs. The whole staff was great of course, but I felt she really took the time to get to know me and my daughter and I cannot say thank you enough to the whole ascension, for the great care and service provided.

I delivered my first child at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield two weeks ago as my OB (Dr. Moore who is simply the best) delivers here. I was greatly impressed with the bedside manner provided to me by staff from triage all the way to postpartum care. I truly felt that both my health and my babies health were equally important throughout my whole visit. My intake nurse Riley came back the next evening to check on my new family which was such a great heartfelt surprise. Dr. Moore also checked in on me the next day and has always made time for any concerns. As a medical professional that cares for patients everyday, I can confidently refer my friends and family to Providence Southfield Labor & Delivery. Thank you for taking such good care of my family (including my husband) during our stay.

My husband has Alzheimer's Dementia. There did not seem to be any communication between employees on a daily basis regarding his restrictions. I found myself repeating the same information to each person coming in: He can't walk, follow directions, feed himself. It's as if no information was passed during shift change or people were not listening. On a daily basis, during various times, my daughter and I would arrive and his food would be sitting on the tray table cold. On one occasion when I arrived, he had a covered container of coffee in one hand and a covered bowl of oatmeal in the other. Since he wasn't able to pick up these items on his own, it was apparent that someone had placed them in his hands. Fortunately, I arrived before he spilled anything hot on himself. Not much concern for the patient. I empathize with those who do not have family members who are able to be on site regularly to advocate for their loved ones since it's apparent that the health care providers are not equipped to take care of the patients they are entrusted with.

I just had a heart stent procedure on Nov 15 and I have no words for the excellent care I received. I was beyond terrified being I've never experienced a heart issue but the entire staff went to extremes to calm and relax both my wife and myself. Nurses Becky and Colleen were absolute angels and I credit them with the most. I just cannot say enough good about the entire experience!!!!

The ER was a bit of a wait (2.5 hours). I was very sick and ended up having COVID and pregnant. Once I got a room I instantly understood why I had to wait so long. It was a lot of people to be seen back there. Once they figured out what was wrong with me they sent me up to the 3rd floor where Every single nurse and PCT is amazing. Nothing short of it. The nurses that are there at night are the sweetest ppl I've ever met!

The quality of care is great everyone in the hospital were kind and positive this is my third spinal surgery so i was i bit scared and a jerk when surgery got set back for someone more serious. Dr soo is a great surgeon and has given me another chance i will always owe him my abilities to walk again. I also owe him an apology for my impatience it was disrespectful on my part.but they still treated me like i was in a 5 star hotel. Can't thank you enough

Bro - what an awful experience. Hours wasted, no antibiotics today for a dog bite. No communication between staff - one person tells you one thing, a different one says another. Came into an empty ER with a torn up hand dripping blood and a broken bone.. couldn’t bend my fingers, they tell me I need to fill out PPW (can’t make this up). They try sending me a link to do it electronically but I didn’t get it - my phone had no reception. Nurse told me “iPhones don’t work in here” like I had some obscure device that threw a wrench in their otherwise normal process. By time they told me I was getting discharged, they then proceeded to send me for an X-ray instead, had to unwrap my injury they just wrapped. Ordered X-ray on my wrong hand, sat around waiting for 45 minutes just to find out they never let anyone know we still needed to do the X-ray. Then when I’m discharged they tell me they’re sending my Rx but if it’s closed for the holiday they’ll give me my first dose of my antibiotic (which was needed for this particular injury.) low and behold, the pharmacy is closed but now they say they can’t give me any first dose because I got discharged already, but if I don’t mind waiting again they’ll check me back and do the whole process again. Cherry on top of it all? I was standing in the hall waiting for my second try at an X-ray when the person in the room next to me left. A doctor walks up and asks what happens and him and the nurses proceed to talk openly about how the patient was just trying to get opiate pain pills and was mad they wouldn’t give him any. I was standing right there for the convo - fairly certain there’s a law broken here somewhere 1/5 stars do not recommend

The staff did the best in accommodations as possible. I am a newly diagnosed diabetes patient. The discharge process did not go well. Prescriptions were made with the pharmacy that was not open on Sunday. Discharge occurred without proper education to the patient.. The medicine was not really available and the prescription for the needle pens was not clear. I am having a very hard time walking on my leg at this time and don’t know if it will have to be removed. I have an appointment for today at 2:20 PM with my primary doctor. It took several tries to obtain a follow up appointment, even though it will not be with my primary physician until August 24th, 2023. My sugar continues to fluctuate on a daily and nightly basis. I have not had any education classes regarding diet and planning of meals. I am out here on the island trying to find a raft so I won’t drown.

Both nurses were fantastic! They were responsive, attentive and kind. The medical, room assistant(?) Evan, was fantastic! Friendly, responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. The only drawbacks were the meals: late arrival, bland and not appetizing at all. And the other drawback was discharge ie the time it took to discharge me.

Nurses were amazing! I had Valerie and Brittany for my labor delivery nursing team! They took amazing care of me and kept me relaxed. Dr. Marras was amazing as well! I appreciate all that she does as a Dr and a human being!

Very professional Doctors, RN, NP, and admin staff. As for the kitchen meals they are very good for hospital meals, EXCEPT, all of my meals always had something missing or stuff I dud not order. Then the day I was discharged we had to wait a long period of time for the wheel chair to have me taken down to the entrance of 45 minutes. There us no reason that on the day patient's should have to wait more than 10 - 15 mins to just get from the room to the entrance in order to go home.

Staff was very accommodating to both my father who was using a wheelchair and I. We were misdirected to where he needed to go and in stopping to further examine his imaging order a staff person not only offered his assistance, he escorted us to where we needed to be and pushed the wheelchair. That same courtesy was shown us at our departure. Every staff who walked past kindly greeted us. Thank you Providence for the kindness bestowed upon my dad and I.

UPDATE 2/3/22: When I finally received a call back I found out they had not put my full name in correctly. Now it's supposed to go back to the insurance company with the correct info. Now there's another notice in the mail from them. Been waiting over two hours for a call back about what's going on using their system so I don't have to stay on hold the whole time. Guess I won't be getting a call. This billing department needs a serious overhaul. Worse than Beaumont and that's not saying much. 1/14/22: Trying to settle a bill with this hospital is an exercise in sheer frustration. They didn't have my husband's insurance info and sent a bill. We called and gave them the insurance info. I get a more urgent letter next month with the same amount as last time. I call to make sure there's still no issue. I put in my number for a call back. No call after about an hour. I call and I'm on hold for 36 minutes and no one picks up. Who has time to sit on the phone? The letter says "It is very important we hear from you." Really? But no one is answering the phone. Utterly RIDICULOUS!!!!!

The entire staff from the beginning to the end were excellent. The night I came into the ER, it was extremely crazy busy. Props to the employees that work ER. Once admitted, the nurses, aides and any additional staff that I came into contact with were very friendly, very polite. The only thing I can say negative is you need to update the mattresses /pillows. Very uncomfortable with somebody who already has issues with their back.

Big thanks to Diana, the nurse who took care of me during my stay at room 3135. She is the model nurse, caring and attentive to her patients. She made my stay comfortable and really looked after me. May God bless her.

Leah my nurse was amazing. She was very caring and knowledgable. But the room was filthy. I had my room switched three times and they had personal belongs of other patients, bloody bandages and leads on the bed I was told was clean. The other room had someones filth in the tub and used commodes in the room. The doctors and ir nurses were amazing as well. They worked quick and kept me painless. Barbara particularly was sooooo nice and calming.

Im so excited to talk to my Mom, it’s tearjerking! 🥹 because I don’t to get talk to her as often as I like. I cherish our few minutes of updates on her health and care. But last night I got to speak with her for 3Hours! The male nurse was so pleasant sweet gracious and more attentive to her than any of the nurses I’ve heard interact with her during her many hospitals visits. Mom confirmed ALL of the providence Hospital staff have been just as diligent and gracious with her. Hearing for myself definitely eased my anxiety and gave me great joy and confidence she’s in a HEALING environment. I’ll definitely let Providence Hospital know I appreciate them. She’s looking forward to progressing out of ICU.

The staff wasn’t that good at all with the exception of two-three people. The two nurses that were very good at their jobs and well informed was Nicole on day the 24 and Dawn was excellent she went over and beyond to help me with my situation. Evan was really great as well. He did his job with a pleasant smile and attitude whereas the night shift was not that good at all. They did the bare minimum and the one nurse told me that that’s not her job so I told her I didn’t feel comfortable with the technician taking out the foley so she did but with reluctance, that was my first night stay. But this particular nurse was not friendly at all. She was a black female with an Afro African. Her remarks were very smart and flipped. My daughter wanted to report her then. I felt the facility without a back brace. I just had surgery but didn’t receive adequate support and treatment from my standard. The physical therapist was so surprised that I was sent home with out a back brace no stability at all.Elizabeth was very impersonal with everyone especially my daughter when asking questions and that was the one that told me that is not her when I asked her to change the foley because I was uncomfortable with Amanda doing that service.

Exceptional service from all clerical, medical and housekeeping staff. The birthing unit was packed but staff worked diligently to make sure we were taken care of. We felt welcome and our needs were met during our stay, before and after delivery of our boys. Would highly recommend!

I was really impressed with the nursing staff. They were pleasant, inspirational, and accommodating. The kitchen staff were also very helpful when ordering the correct food types, explaining the need for certain food and drink items for cardiac patients. There needs to improvement in the temperature of the food delivered (Mostly cool to cold).

The Quality of Care at Providence Hospital was excellent, the facility was extraordinarily clean and Sanitized. The staff were professional in their specialty and above all they treated patients with respect and dignity, a marked improvement since my previous ER visit over 2 years ago. I comment the B.O.D., Physicians, and those responsible for running this Hospital and making Patient care a priority. Dietary needs to step up a bit.

Ascension Providence Hospital has AMAZING staff, from the doctors to the housekeeping staff. My care was top-notch, professional, and life-saving. However, the equipment was shoddy and sub-par. My heart monitor barely worked, my bed barely worked, it took days to find me a working room phone, ... I could go on and on. You're hampering the good work your staff does by not providing them with better equipment!! It's not fair to your patients or your employees. I'm happy to complete a more thorough survey.

In June, I had extensive back surgery at the Ascension Southfield hospital. The care and attentiveness were exemplary; doctors, nurses, aides and therapists were all friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Specific post-op instructions given for home care were direct and precise. A special thank you to my neurosurgeon, Dr. Clifford Houseman, for thoroughly explaining my procedure and what to expect afterwards. I highly recommend him for head, neck and back issues!
