If I could give 0 stars, I would! I once loved this hospital but I now would not even recommend this hospital to the Devil. I waited for 5 hours. When white counterparts came in after me they were even served before me. I did not get a room until I politely complained. Even so, they put me in the worse room that was absolutely filthy. The staff assumes that a lot of black patients are ignorant welfare patients and treat everyone as such. I am so close to filing suit because I am beyond displeased with my experience.

Don’t waste your time going here. From the moment you walk in to the ER you are faced with the most unwelcoming group of nurses, especially the one all the way on the right. I received about a dozen dirty looks during my three hour wait in the waiting room, before going back and having the worst care. The table was sticky when I went to set down my belongings, the nurses and doctor didn’t really seem too bothered with taking care of patients. They were fairly quick with getting the actual test/labs done, but forget about the results. They’ll just discharge you without having the doctor come in and talk to you. The same doctor I was in mid conversation with multiple questions who had to run out and attend an emergency (understandable-GO!!), but never came back to finish the conversation within 3 hours. I had to complain just to get him back in there, and then it’s like I was wasting his time and they couldn’t get me out quick enough. I’ll never use a Beaumont hospital again. I didn’t think anything could be as bad as the Royal Oak location, but boy was I wrong.

Unless I’m on my dying breath, please take me elsewhere. Outpatient lab test, registration and waiting area was just plain old dirty, dingy and in need of updating. Topping it off, my test was scheduled for 10:45 a.m., told to arrive 20 minutes prior which I did. Left me in a cold locker room area in a hospital gown with years old magazines, never updated or checked on by anyone until I asked. Attitude was just so poor. Offered me a couple of $5 vouchers, which I declined because what could I possibly want to buy there, obviously professionalism is not available. Finally went for test around 12:10-12:15 and done in 5 minutes. Have to have a different test, not coming back here. The 2 stars is pretty generous right now. Feel bad for people with more serious illnesses or those easily frightened. Where are patient advocates?

Take a look at this E.R. Room. This place is very unsanitary and hazardous. & if any of you are wondering why it is taking so long for you to get called in a room, it is because the rooms are full of patient’s waiting for either their a nurse doctor, P.A. Or N.P. to come back in the room which takes them 2+ hours. And people are stuck in there waiting to get discharged or be seen by someone back there. You will never see these people for awhile after they get your blood work. They will simply forget about you. If they say they’ll order an imaging/scans for you, do not expect them to do it in 30 mins. Because they will have you waiting for that scan for hours. Why? Because they forget to put you down in their tracker and/or they’ll add you in the list whenever they feel like. Every staff that you will encounter there are rude. If you really care about yourself or your love ones well being, do not even enter this place. Please turn around and find elsewhere to go. Take this as a sign to not come here.

Usually I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I had my son here, and usually their service is prompt. This time around i end up being admitted, told I needed surgery, I've not eaten in 2 days, and they won't let me eat until I see this mystery doctor/ surgeon to even confirm what needs to be done regarding my care! This is treatment is inhumane. Only reason they get the 2 stars is because my nursing staff was extremely nice and caring with what care THEY could give me. Shame on you Beaumont!

To anybody that reads this let me start off and let you know about the excellent care that I recently received. I was rushed through the E.R. and given a room on the 3rd floor those nurses😇 were heaven sent. Monika, Lauren, Regina, Jessica and countless others gave me the best care and I was extremely happy and blessed. My room was very clean and sterile anything that I needed I was given. Grosse Pointe Beaumont was the right choice for me hope it is for you also😎 blessings.

The ER is way to slow. I have been here on busy days and slow days. It’s always the same. The ER rooms could use a good cleaning as well.

This is only for the ER receiving staff, horrible insensitive non-attentive people. For the first time I wasnt even offered a wheelchair or assistance walking even though I lost my balance multiple times. Been waiting over 3 hrs with no word of encouragement like they use to give, they were lazy and only interested in holding pleasant banter amongst themselves. Two stars removed due to people in the wrong line of work. I'll be taking this straight to the top until it is rectified. The other hospital staff away from the receptionist ER area were classic Beaumont (helpful, timely, compassionate, considerate and attentive) staff that has kept me coming back to Beaumont over other hospitals for the past 15 yrs. I'm rarely ill to the point of needing medical assistance but when I am I choose Beaumont. Three stars added when it could've easily been a five star review otherwise.

The ER seems to be run by young incompetent females. I had 2 experiences in three weeks. First time 6.5 hour wait in ER. Mind you I was sent from a doctors office because my blood pressure was 225/114 (that is in stroke range) was dizzy and had trouble putting words together. Mind you he put a note on my chart referencing that but the ER Children didn’t think that was bad enough for me to be seen right away. Once I was Brought back and saw a doctor, I received meds BP meds through IV port and was admitted after two scans. Once in my room, 3rd floor, the nursing care was fabulous. Second visit 7.5 hour wait with unprofessional care in ER. Once i was brought back to triage, saw doctor immediately and was admitted within 1 hr. Again the nurses and assistants on the 3rd floor were fabulous. The room service personnel were so much more professional and caring than the ER staff.

My daughter was admitted with fevers that kept spiking. She called me the next day very afraid as the nurses were not caring for her properly and she kept feeling more sick by the hour. I went there to see her in bed soaked with sweat and nobody changed her gown or told her to take off the sweat pants and socks she was wearing upon arrival to the ED. Fevers that wouldn’t subside, and some nurse put a heating pad under her back because she complained of back pain!!!!! The ED doc diagnosed her accurately, and thank God for him. Otherwise, the nursing units need to get on the ball! They have some real slackers there! No head to toe assessment was done at all. My daughter could’ve had swelling or a rash and nobody would’ve known because the nurse didn’t care to do a head to toe assessment. Nobody offered her a cold wash cloth or to help her to the bathroom to clean up. She was so damn sick and they just hung their antibiotics and checked her vitals. Even the thermometer wasn’t working right but they didn’t bother to bring in another portable one to be sure. I was angry!! This is how people wind up in ICU and it’s all because of incompetent nursing. That’s all I can say.

Went in through the ER. They were proactive with collecting test samples and prepped me right away for the fluids that I was going to need. Dr. S. and Matt were awesome. Dr. S made me laugh and Matt was super compassionate. People are less likely to write a review about a good experience than a bad one. So I wanted to take the time to share what a effective, relatively fast, and compassionate ER visit I had here. Thanks to all who helped me feel better. NOTE: I went early in the morning and had a very short wait.

This is the worst Beaumont hospital I have been too. First they tell u to go set in the waiting until called and tell u with one to set in. So u take a set and 20min late someone comes and tells u if you don't have covid u need to leave this area. Now u do that and its been an hour and a half just for them to take your vitals. If u are not dying you will be in the waiting room for 8 hours with your pain period. I would never go back there again.

AVOID LIKE THE BLACK PLAGUE!!! Incompetence at its finest, won't treat a patient with obvious swelling confirmed by three other dentists, doesn't do oral surgery yet has two oral surgeons affiliated and on the board of hospitals for this specific location...... Not to mention the Physicians Assistants bedside manner is trash, called my wife a "female dog" under his breath when walking away because he can't answer questions intelligently or doesn't know what he's doing. Great representation there. Complaints filed with Beaumont and with Insurance Carrier. Your service was worse than any combat triage facility I ever saw in my life. Goodbye. Avoid if you value your health.

I recently visited the Emergency Room for a facial laceration. A physicians assistant evaluated my injury and provided excellent care with a calm, friendly bedside manner. After receiving 7 stitches, the longest part of my wait was for a CT scan. Overall, I was content with the level of service that this facility provided during a stressful time. The billing department contacted me a few days after the service to confirm my information and let me know that a bill would be mailed within a few weeks.

Literally the worst hospital I was seen at in my life! This hospital has so many rude and unprofessional staff there along so with incompetence. CERTAIN ER staff members have made some very big mistakes with dealing with patients and handing bio material. I was seen here a few times over the last several years but the last two visits were really a nightmare.. Just terrible!

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUTCHER SHOP DISGUISED AS A HOSPITAL. I wish I could give zero stars. A dear friend of mine was admitted here, for complications with COVID, while pregnant (near her due date). She was in isolation for 2 days, and barely received any care and the baby was not being monitored. After several attempts of buzzing the nurses with no one coming, she went to the bathroom on her own. She thought she just had to go to the bathroom, but she ended up having the baby and it was still born. They did not do a DNC and she was discharged 12 hours after this occurrence. REGARDLESS of short staffing, HOW could anyone let this happen? What human being, let alone a health care professional, under any circumstances would let this happen????! This was a devastating event that will ripple through so many lives - DO NOT GO HERE.

Someone I know is at this hospital as we speak with a possible miscarriage and was neglected to be seen since she was in the waiting room for almost 8 hours before I finally called the ER and told them her case . Very rude nurse in charge and did not like that I calmly told him her unborn child is not considered a priority although others always will be?! Within 5 minutes of getting off the phone she was called back to a room. Will be updating review with a total time she was forced to wait since she is currently still there 😭

Came to ER a little after 11 pm. Family member has chest pain, left arm pain, anxiety, hypertension. It is currently 2:10 am. Are you kidding me? "Oh we're just waiting on the beds to get cleaned". If he wasn't insisting on staying at this point I would take him to any other hospital. Anyway, hoping my family member doesnt die in the ER waiting room.

Came into er waited about 30min to even be asked to give my ID! Then they have the audacity to ask if I wouldnt mind being seen in the hallway! I say, "no" then one specific nurse quickly with an attitude, "Well it will be a wait then!" If I were not in pain I would have asked to see her manager/boss! They should be ashamed of themselves for making anyone wait 30 minutes then to expect a patient to be seen in the hallway!? Smh Beaumont Grosse P. ERs staff needs to be re trained or fired!

My wife just gave birth to our first baby here this past week. I have to say I would recommend this delivery unit 10 times over! The staff was absolutely amazing. The room had everything already in it. It was clean and updated. They treated us like we were family. They were friendly, informative and beyond kind. I haven’t had many hospital stays in my life but these past 4 days have been great. They made us feel safe and I genuinely trust all Of the delivery unit staff. Not to mention there is a Starbucks inside the main entrance. They know what they are doing that’s for sure. If you’re having a baby in the near future I would definitely recommend Beaumont Grosse Pointe!!

Wife is roughly 9 weeks pregnant, and started to have some spotting. Her OB was clossed so we came here to get her checked out just in case, and we got here at 5:30pm on saturday. Its not 9:00pm as i write this and she has still yet to be seen. Its not bust here either. A steady trickle of people but only 1 real obvious emergency so far. A little disappointing that we could be facing a potential miscarriage and its been 3.5 hours with nobody even checking up on her in the waiting room.

I wanted to take the time to write a review regarding the amazing nurse that conducted my mammogram. When I went in for my procedure I was absolutely terrified and in tears. My anxiety was at an all time high. The nurse who conducted my tomosynthesis mammogram was incredibly kind, patient and comforting. She took the time to explain everything in detail, talked to me the entire time, explained what she was doing every step of the way and made me feel so much more at ease. I walked in for my procedure absolutely terrified and left in a completely different mind set. I hope she realizes what an incredible and kind human she is. I feel very grateful she was my nurse that day.

I wish I could give negative stars. Avoid this ER at all costs unless you want to have to open a fraud case with your insurance agency. Between my insurance charges and what I paid the bill for a $300 shot and $50 worth of medicine with no IV, no testing, and less than 15 total minutes of facetime with any medical professionals somehow came to $3000. To emphasize, I went in for a minor back injury, NO IMAGING was done, was given oral painkillers and one shot, and somehow am being billed for $3000. In the itemized bill, the biggest charge was for a Level 5 ER visit. A Level 5 visit is the most severe/highest level of care. Again, no EKG, no IV put in, no imaging, no blood work - yeah really seems like they thought I was having a severe emergency. Shady and appalling. I am currently seeking patient advocate groups to further escalate this complaint. Don't give yourself the hassle I'm going through, if you have to drive an extra 30 minutes to go to the next one DO IT.

Had a stroke at 28 weeks pregnant both ct scans at hospital showed it. I went in initially after I was without oxygen for a long time. The staff were laughing at me and putting false notes in the chart. I recorded up until I blacked out. It could’ve been prevented had the doctor ratnash Mehra not lied and said he saw me when he didn’t (notes). Code stroke was called on me and they refused me medical attention. Im having problems with severe head pain my speech is funny and I can’t feel my left side I can’t swallow. I remember them saying they couldn’t get sued so they falsified the third cat scan to make it look like there wasn’t a bleed. (Her friend helped her right this hopefully someone is accountable).

Zero Stars!!! Waited 5 hours only for the head nurse to try to give me a shot that I'm allergic to? I listened to the front desk talk about ALL Thier personal issues while I was brought in by e.m.s??? No care or concern as she ripped my i.v. out after calling her out on that medical mistake. I was left with an open wound bleeding. My shirt became saturated & I threw up & almost passed out from the blood loss. I'm on a cane & she refused to call my insurance for a ride home. I was left bleeding & walking for miles. This is how much they care. It was better when it was bon secour hospital much Better staff. I would rarely seek medical assistance for myself anymore due to this bad experience. 🙏

I ended up in their ER in the wee hours of the morning June 14th, in agonizing pain from my back issues that are being addressed soon by a Neurosurgeon (my previous one was recently murdered, which set things back for me.) Earlier, I had been turned away by my so called “pain management doctor “, so I ended up there. Dr. Noah Bryant was excellent, listened to me, treated me with compassion, like a human in pain, not a drug seeking addict, and he quickly and effectively treated my pain, seeing that I hadn’t slept in a week!! The whole staff was amazing - performing their jobs quickly to speed up the process because I was in such agonizing pain. Dr. Bryant recommended a different Neurosurgeon that could probably get me in sooner, and gave me medication to go so I would not be in agonizing pain! I called his recommendation and am being seen next week! It’s like a miracle! Thank you so much Dr. Bryant and staff! You were great! I’m glad you’re there if I need you, but I hope I don’t return! 🙏🏻

Security guard at front was very polite, but the Dr and physician assistant was horrible. They actually were trying to discharge my grandson with a prescription for Albuterol and Tylenol until my daughter put the pulse ox on his finger and kept asking why is his breathing not right. The physician assistant said it was influenza A and oxygen level 91 was good. Turn out his oxygen level kept dropping to 85. He ended up being transferred to children's hospital he not only has the flu he has pneumonia. Beaumont physicians didn't even do an x-ray to even see why his oxygen level was low. I wonder what could have happened if we went home thinking it was not that bad. He was admitted and is being treated. Even the Paramedics that were doing the transport were shocked at what was going on.

This is the worst hospital to go to for your needs. Rather busy or slow they will not assist you and send you home still sick. The nurse was at my room and advised that she would change the IV and assist with me to the bathroom. She then kept coming past the room saying one minute and never returned. I never seen the doctor or any other staff except being placed in a room. This is not the way to treat someone who is paying and needs assistance. If you’re on your death dead ask them to take you to the next place. I don’t recommend anyone go to this hospital at all.

Took my mother in with very high blood pressure. I'm a single mom. Had my 10 yr old son with me. We were denied entry from a very rude older guard at the door. He told me kids are not allowed in the ER?! The guard told me to go take my son home and come back. In the event of an emergency, and I'm getting turned away because I have my child with me?? I have never heard of such a stupid rule in my entire life. My mom's life was at risk here. Extremely rude and unprofessional I will never go to this hospital ever again!! If I could give it zero Stars I would. Did not go to this ER if you were a single parent with kids under 18

Went to the ER twice in the last couple of days, both times my daughter was seen right away, she was in a lot of pain. They were very thorough and found the problem! She was admitted & sent to 4th floor. All the staff on that floor were super friendly and helpful!! Especially Nurse Becky!! Who will forever have a special place in our hearts! She knew how scared my daughter was to have surgery & went out of her way to comfort her! She’s the best! ❤️

I really like all the care I've received here. Today had bone density testing then MRI. Everyone super nice, professional, clean spaces. Enjoy the salad bar in cafeteria. Update: The head of the ER , Dr. Clark called. Unfortunatley he stands by the lack of documentation and incorect documentation on the visit. The incompetance in record keeping and attentativeness to the situation is what I complained about. He did say the only neurological issues thay are prepared to handle is a stroke but I honestly would not choose Beaumont (Corewell) Grosse Pointe for that either. He also said he has been working that ER for 12 years so I supose these are his friends I am complaining about so no suprise he thinks they are competent. I am Not sure why Beaumont has the Patient Experience department, it started with phone tag with the liason and moved on to phone tag , denial of truths and defending incompentence by the ER director. A complete waste of time. On a similar note, my mother in law went last week for a different situation and had a similar useless experience. I informed Dr. Clark that his people are still lacking in service 5 months after my experience. Go elsewhere if you are in need of emergency care. ZERO STARS FOR COREWELL GROSSE POINTE EMERGENCY ROOM! I went to this ER in a Dystonic Storm, I was sent by my neurologist. The Beaumont neurologist had No Clue . He only had me squeeze his hands and he looked in my eyes. Nothing else. He offered pain killers. When I refused and wanted proper treatment, they sent me home because they didn't know what to do. I told them I had Dystonia and they were not concerned. I believe they didn't know what it is .I filed a complaint and the Hospital board decided that I received proper as I had no symptoms. Well Sir doctor, you didn't look for any or ask. And I was pretty lethargic and Not talking. Horrible ER

If you are an Active Duty Service Member, Veteran or Military Dependant- this is not the hospital for you. Seek care elsewhere. This was the most unprofessional hospital experience. I wasn't helped or treated for my issue durring my visit. They found, circled and made notes about something serious they found on my CT scan, unrelated to my visit and didn't bother telling me about it. Thankfully, Henry Ford is my PCP network and they are taking care of me. Shame on you Beaumont.

Had to go to the ER here due to my lower back pain. I literally could not stand up without being hunched over 90 degrees. After taking several xrays, I was told I had severe arthritis. The doctor, sorry nurse practitioner told me I need an MRI and that because they have to be pre authorized now, they couldn't do it. As God as my witness about 5 minutes later I heard a doctor talk to another patient and said we have your MRI results back. Really??? After waiting in severe pain for 2 hours to be discharged, I peeled the useless lidocaine patch off and left. If this is the state of our medical system, to hell with it. I'd rather just suffer. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the xray tech was awesome.

If I had the option to put a negative star I would . My grandfather who was an amazing man and not only that he made sure to treat the staff with kindness was discharged from this hospital with Covid pneumonia, 5 days later he died on the 26th the day after Christmas . They let him go knowing there was nothing left to do and didn’t even have the courtesy of explaining that . He was up laughing in the hospital and then came home to only deteriorate. The doctors and nurses were so uncaring it was disgusting . It’s not their family so why would they care is the mentality there . I will NEVER walk into that hospital again for any reason because I know they simply don’t value any life except their own . Thank you for nothing to all the staff .

Every nurse and doctor that works here is a complete incompetent loser. They have no idea what they are talking about nor do they care about how you feel. They are more focused on discharging you than treating you. They have bugs in the rooms and flies everywhere. This place is hell and I wish terrible things upon everyone who works there.

Had a knee revision and all was perfect. The care I received on the ortho floor was spectacular. From registration to discharge everything was phenomenal.

It has been our experience that this hospital is always chronically understaffed. Procedures are delayed and hospital stays are extended not due to necessity but due to the unavailability of timely care. In some cases patients are transferred to the Royal Oak hospital for situations that this hospital once was entirely capable of handling, but due to chronic staff shortages this hospital now has a reduced number of beds available. In addition the staff does not communicate well between shift changes, transporters forgot about a patient and made the patient wait hours to be transported to the room that was already ready. This hospital was once great but it is now lacking.

Went to St. John on 12 & Hoover 2 days prior. They gave me 5 different pain meds & sent me home. Went to Beaumont 2 days later & was diagnosed with a sinus infection. In & out in an hour flat 🙌🏽

I drive a half an hour to only come here. They respect the LGBTQ community, they're thorough, was only there 4 hours yesterday for a 10/10 3 day migraine. Didn't cure it but they took the edge off and send me home with stuff to get me through till I can see a neurologist. They're super thoughtful here. Definitely recommend

Had a scan done in the Nuclear Medicine department. I had no wait time. Process was explained. Staff was very professional. This was my first time at GP Beaumont - usually go to Troy Beaumont but they are back logged.

On November the 8th I haven't been feeling to well, so I checked myself in Beaumont hospital at the gross point location. Know it’s a hospital I kind of was heading in knowing it was busy. On arriving getting my vitals done I could hear the tech saying the Emergency Room is full and we must seat him in the hallway. I thought great I'm going to be waiting a long time. But surprisingly a nurse walked in under 5 mins. I was shocked and impressed that I was receiving medical attention so fast. The nurse came and introduced themselves and began talking to me as if I was family. Overall making sure I was been taken care of. There were numerous nurses helping me. All of them had a huge smile making me fell welcomed. Moving on during my stay the teamwork was beautiful. Everyone said they're opinion and worked together as a unit. I noticed how they would paint a clear picture to better understand what there surrounding are, what approaches they are doing and how it's being done. Lastly when it came to my treatment, I explained I didn’t want to take certain medication due to me not liking them and they quickly looked at my options for and treated me around that which I thought was awesome of them. Most hospital don’t take in concerns or considerations, but Beaumont Gross Pointe went above and behind to help my need. Definitely would recommend Beaumont to friends and family.

I was up late watching something on fb about great nurses and thought about this hospital. You guys are wonderful! Thank you so much for all that you do. I know it's tough but don't give up and please don't change. Good doctors and nurses are becoming a rarity nowadays. I know it's because they're burnt-out and sick of us (patients) lol. Just don't change ok. Being African American this is One of the only hospitals in metro Detroit that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable or like I'm not being heard. I came in for one reason and you guys found something way more serious. I've been to other hospitals, and had to find out a diagnosis by looking through my chart on my own. Thank you so much! I wish I could buy a whole shift lunch one day lol

Great Emergency Room as long as you have 4+ hours to wait around and arent suffering from a real emergency. After waiting with my sick infant for over an hour in the waiting room my wife and I went to a different hospital. Glad we did.

If it weren't for the care I received here, I may still be going around not knowing I have SVT. Now I can address it and get help, instead of being treated like it's just panic disorder when it's my heart. I know I was a tough frightened patient, and you dealt with me. Bless you all! Especially Dr Mark who worked Fri. I'm glad you kept me for observation. (Sorry I was out of it, and can't spell your last name.)

One of the worst experiences to date. I came in for severe abdominal pain and was very patient until Leo the PA walks in and starts man handling me. No type of care or anything just started aggressively poking at my stomach and became rude when I swiftly removed his hand from where HE caused further pain. Then he walks out dismissing my issue. Then I ask to speak with someone (a superior) about the issue and was given the run around. The way I was handled was shocking because I never experienced such disregard for a patient in a healthcare setting. I’m an informed and kind patient and I will hold out as long as possible before going to the hospital. To be treated like I’m a bother in a space where I’m seeking help is a major issue and red flag for a hospital.
