๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ A very nice park. Basketball court. Picnic shelter. Additional picnic tables. Bar-B-Q grills, and playground equipment. Grounds are well kept. At the intersection of E. Warren and Sheldon. Just be warned there are no restrooms. People often mention park,

The Mower Gang mowed Dueweke Park on May 1st, 2013. The playground equipment is really nice and fun. A mixture of old and new. We were able to pick up all of the trash in the park, although there are no trash cans, so the trash problem will probably get bad really quickly. This park deserves better, there are lots and lots of people that use it every day. It is also in a high-traffic area. If I were in charge, this would be one of the first and most frequently maintained parks in the city. At present, there are two abandoned and burned houses to the south of the park that need immediate cleanup.

Used to play in that park as a child in the 1960's and 70's with my friends and siblings. If memory serves, the park had at least 3 baseball diamonds, 2 or 3 basketball courts, an infant and toddler section and the big kid section. Plus, side walks through the park so you could walk, run or ride your bike. On Hancock St, the Detroit Swim Mobile used to park so neighborhood kids could take a dip on a hot summer day. My rating is from days gone by.

I love the update at this Park. I am from this SURROUNDING community and am very pleased. They just needs to add more garage cans so when there are gatherings it's enough garbage containers to throw the garbage away.

It is a pretty typical City of Detroit Park. Driving access is a bit odd, you have to take Forest east bound (1 way) to Sheridan (1 way) - so the cross streets of Gratiot and E Warren are neither access streets, just for reference. Has 1 covered picnic area with built in tables and a grill. Has a good playground. Courts for basketball. No bathrooms on site.
