Always love the bike path at Rouge Park,, I try to still ride my bicycle about twice a week,,to stay active because this is really the time of year that is most important to be out and about plus it hasn't snowed yet,,lol

A charming community park with the serene Rouge River meandering through it. While some areas may be slightly overgrown, the park boasts intriguing bike trails for exploration.

We actually visited the Buffalo Soldiers horse stable. We like going and feeding the horses ( They love when you bring them carrots and RED apples) they let you know they appreciate it by stomping their hooves in excitement and My daughter and niece got to go for a horse back ride. The staff is amazing and We love visiting

Had a nice walk down the Stone Bridge Trail and a good break in the shade with a pup from the local shelter. Good sniffs and sights for people and dogs alike.

Very nice splash pad! The kids had a ball. It' a nice little set up big enough for the youngsters to enjoy themselves, but still be in your sight. Also has my favorite feature, a restroom. If you spend time with little ones...you know what I'm talking about.

Brennan Pools is a hidden gem! Even though the 10 meter diving platform and pool have been filled in, you still will be hard-pressed to find a nicer swimming experience. The pool is kept up quite nicely. This is one of the nicest pools in the state and maybe anywhere. There is a very family friendly environment and you are able to bring in pool toys and floats. All of the staff there are professional and helpful.

A hidden gem of a course. The course was in great condition and everyone working at the course was friendly. My daughter also loved it. I would definitely play here again.

Nobody knows about this place and that's a sin. Definitely a course to throw in the rotation. You're not getting super manicured greens, fairways and tees but the course is usually in good shape. Couple gimmicky holes but overall a fun layout. Get past the first hole and the remainder of the round is played in "up north" feel in an urban surrounding. Not paying more than $40 on a Sunday morning in July is worth every penny. Pack some sandwiches and snacks because you don't see the clubhouse again til you're walking off 18...which is definitely an issue. If you're coming to golf and not to smash dogs and beers at the turn, you'll enjoy your round. I've always liked playing here and feel it deserves SOME recognition! If you're a frequent golfer you should find out what Rouge Park is all about

I was there for Detroit Black Farmer Land Fund Harvest Festival. The music was great and they had fresh vegetables from their garden for sale

It has come a long way. There is still work currently being done. I have high hopes that this will become a beautiful place to see and visit.

A decent park to go to, some spots are better than others. WARNING: if it's raining or has snowed don't come this way. This area will flood really bad. I almost lost my car because of it.

This was a nice park. I only strolled around the .5 mile stone bridge loop, but it was a well marked trail, and had a lot of interesting educational / informative signs. That trail in particular would be great for children, to help get them interested in forests and the lifecycles in it. Trail was a bit muddy, even though it hadn't rained super recently.

The park is large, with plenty of space for a little bit of everything. Soccer, baseball diamond, two football fields, volleyball, playgrounds, skateboarding area, and even golfing area!! I would enjoy a peaceful picnic with my husband next summer now that it's mid October and getting cooler. Beautiful park!!

A lot of upgrades. Nice place for family outings. Now if the individuals who visit and use the park will be good stewards and patrons . The pool is awesome.

Plenty of parking, movie- night was nice, water splashing, a pool, a basketball court, tennis court. There were a few porta poties, swings, and a slide I think. You could put up a Tent . Bring chairs, grill, music, etc, and have fun. Lots of company.

The golf course was a really great time! Friendly people. All the golfers are social and have no problems playing with anyone from any skill level

It's a decent park. A lot more space than I did anticipated. There are even trails. I bet this place would be excellent during the summer for families or even just to hang out.

Archery range is very spacious and has plenty of room to shoot near 100 yards. Hay bails for backstops so you must bring your own targets. One tower to practice vertical shots or observe. Could use some updating and picking up but overall fun place to shoot with friends and family.

Been around this park for years. You never. I've found enjoyment here as well as dead bodies. You never know.

I really like this park. Apparently it's not as well known as it should be given it's the largest park in Detroit. You can't miss it on a map. Whether you just want to use it as a playground/gathering park or a deep dive into nature in the city, both can work. I rode my bike through the mountain bike trails and also admired the forests which was fantastic. I think there is potential with some of the space at this park to get even more activities here. If possible, wear protective gear and bug spray for the bike trails, it can be tough and narrow, but I had a great time. Make sure to exit when you can if you want/need to stop.
