Well here is a review for you. I got brought in with chest pains by an ambulance and and now sitting in there waiting room watching people who just walk in get treatment before me. I got here at 6am and all they have done is take blood. Zero answers and havnt talked to anyone since. Chest is still in pain. I can't belive how unorganized and neglected I feel . I am not a Dr or a health worker but it rosnt take 6 hours to get results from a blood test to get the ball rolling. Next time .y chest hurts I will risk driving myself to London then having to deal with this again

One of the worst experiences I've had in an ER - overall in all our travels worldwide, this has been the worst hospital I’ve experienced Staff in the ER are loud, unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate towards patients. Paramedics and staff laugh and joke while patients wait to be cared for. They’re very aware of being understaffed, and use this as an excuse for lack of care and consideration towards patients. This hospital needs a massive overhaul, and re-education of care needs. They should be ashamed, but are too arrogant to see they’re lack of quality service. My spouse laid in a hallway for hours after a car accident suffering with a concussion, and only received care after I became assertive and insisted on their treatment. This is despicable for a hospital Shame on them

I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience at the hospital. There seemed to be a lack of competence among the staff, and their attitude appeared entitled. Patient care appeared to take a back seat to personal egos. If you find yourself alone, be prepared for potential mistreatment and neglect. My perception was that it felt more like a playground for adults with healthcare licenses than a proper hospital environment.

For the so called CEO of Windsor regional Hospital!!!! PAY ATTENTION TO SAY EMAIL , ITS SERIOUS ISSUE . BEFORE GOD , ITS HOSPITAL , HAVE MERCY ON YOUR POLICIES FOR PATIENTS. ACT QUICK-- SAVE LIVES , DO NOT LET THEM WAITE TO DIE . DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE A SUBJECT .... Is it not your duty to oversee the Workings of this Hospital???? My 77 year old mother waited one month for CT scan, then to get results it was another 10 days , pain management clinic which you should call death clinic ,have lazy and all staff rude including doctors , no one want to work . If acted on time and proper treatment was given on time , my mother's life could be saved . ICU doctors do not know they are in ICU to save lives not to tell in front of patient that she is dying . Metropolitan Hospital has fallen to the service to minus 100 It is with great Discus that you've allowed to take place!!!!!!If you are no longer to oversee your Responsibilities then it's time for you to Step Down and let A New person and Caring Responsible CEO do it!!!!!! very poor service ,

I had a scheduled colonoscopy at the hospital and it went very well. When you first walk in you must register and take a ticket and wait till your number shows up.This only takes a few minutes. They ask for your health card and in no time they directed me where to go.I was there for about three hours in total.Everyone was very friendly and professional.I do recommend everyone over 50 years of age to get a colonoscopy.

I see all the 1 star reviews and yet no improvement is made. What's the point of a hospital if patients are going to spend 12 hours? Third world countries hospitals are much faster and to the point. Does any agency or individuals take accountability of such a bad hospital management?

I did not have a great experience at this hospital today. I came in for a severe migraine that had lasted 4 days and has been preventing me from doing any of my normal activities. I had basically been bedridden for 4 days before coming in. Part of the reason I went in was because school starts tomorrow and I desperately needed to get this resolved so that I could attend orientation. I have a lot of headaches, and this was nothing like any headache I had ever experienced. I explained this to the woman at triage and rated my pain as a 7 to 8 out of 10. After 13 hours, I still had not been seen. I watched many people (who came in after me) with conditions that were not more severe go in before me. I think the hospital triage staff may need more training on invisible illnesses and how severe they can be. However, I am giving it two stars instead of one because the nurses were kind and helpful.

This is my mothers 3rd day at this hospital after having hip replacement surgery. She has not seen her physician or surgeon at all. She has not been offered any method of hygiene (no shower, sponge bath etc). The bed sheets have not been changed. She’s got insurance which would allow for a semi private room which has not been provided. My heart breaks for the over worked nurses but the overall neglect for patient care is absolutely horrible.

Did not have a good experience in the ED at WRH. We waited 9 hours and the nurses were all very rude, expect for 2. Even though the one gave me attitude when her colleague was near… you can tell they are all overwhelmed. This free healthcare is not worth the lack of care we receive, lack of compassion. But again, who can afford US Heath costs anyways?! I was there for my 8 year old son and was very thankfully he was not as negatively affected as I was, aside from the long wait and very busy wait room. The interactions with hospital staff did not make a positive impression.

I've had very little good experiences at any hospital. However when a victim comes in they don't handle them well. Coming to a hospital for help after an assault is hard enough. The staff are very under educated with these and many other matters. Very upsetting and shameful. If compassion is key you have failed miserably!! No wondered so may live with this ordeal and tell no one.

horrible place horrible staff!! as nurses you should be ashamed of how you treat your patients especially the elderly. my grandfather was in the er for over 15 HOURS just to get a catheter 15?!?!??! and they put a CHILDS catheter in then had to go back to wait now 14 hours and be told that and i quote "nurses don't make mistakes like that." so basically telling him he's lying are you kidding me? on to the cancer centre again my grandfather has bladder cancer and the man who works the parking lot screamed at him because my grandfather didn't realize the parking spaces had line ups. it just disgusts me do better!!

I went to the emergency room of this hospital on weekend since all walk-in clinics were closed. I waited for 6 hours to be visited by a physician! I asked the nurses when the doctor visits me and they behaved rudely and told me we don’t know! One other patient complained about the process but they called security for her! I couldn’t believe that a doctor said a person who accompanies a patient saying you are not educated enough to understand the emergency criteria! The lady in the first triage was very nice and listened to people carefully to write down their symptoms.

Our health care is a joke! The hospital was absolutely filthy, triage nurse was rude, the doctors requested an x-ray and said nothing was found, so bye bye, no more tests to find the cause of the intense pain I am experiencing. The attached photo is of the old blood pressure machine on the wall behind my bed in the ER. WE DESERVE BETTER!!! What has happened to our health care system!

I know this hospital didn’t care how they treating bad with people and I am 100% sure they will not improve their services. 100 people in walk in clinic done in 4 hours and 4 people in emergency will be done in 12 hours. Whole staff is super lazy including doctors, nurses and management.

I called ambulance for my mom they told me in way . Because she’s felled from stairs. My house 10 to 15 minutes far away from hospital . They didn’t show up after 30 minutes waiting I called back 911, I asked about ambulance where it’s they verify my address the answer was still in way . So I told them cancel everything and I will drive her. When We went to emergency department, we waited over 4 hours to see a doctor . So after I went to one of nurse I told them to see a manager didn’t show up after 30 minutes waiting to manager no one show up then I took my mom to home . I signed the paper and we left with out seeing any doctor or manager .very bad service . and thanks everyone .

My sister is in hospital, she has been there since May 10th. I can't believe how deplorable the hospital is, so dirty. My sister has has 3 showers since her arrival. 9 weeks, 3 showers!!! Her room is so small there is no room for visitors. Nurses are so overworked. They complain constantly that they are short staffed. Patients suffer because Met is so dirty, under staffed and cramped. Don't get sick is all I can say. My poor sister, this is just abuse and is in no way the nurses fault. Hire cleaning staff and more nurses. This is shameful 😔

Most nurses were friendly enough . First nurse I had went above and beyond , any nurse I had after that had zero trace of emotion or compassion . I had a total hysterectomy so I was in a lot of pain , they didn’t bother to help me with anything at all , except bringing me water and medication. I wanted to shower - no help , wanted to get clothes on , no help . Also the room was filthy . I’ll just point that out there . Whoever fromhousekeeping came into my room took the garbage and ignored everything else , including blood all over the floor beside my bed .

We deserve better health care. It's a shame how bad it is. Really sad and unfortunate being sick. I came with my daughter. The left side of her face was inflamed and lots of pain. 10 hrs after, the doctor had no clue, did not do any exam or scan. Just told her "if in two days you are still in pain ho and see your family dr A complete shame

Extremely grateful for the quick response time in the emergency department when it was a true emergency. I took my son here expecting to wait for hours before being seen and I don't think I sat in the waiting room for more than 30 seconds before being triaged and was brought back immediately from there. The nurses, ER doctor, pediatrician, and respiratory team were all so kind and comforting during a very scary situation and treated my son with such compassion. We were transferred to the Children's Hospital in London where he received the treatment he needed and I believe it is due to their initial quick response that ensured my sons recovery. This was also the week after the hospitals were hacked and staff were doing all charting and reporting by hand. I can't express my gratitude enough, thank you!

Avoid this hospital if possible! I've been waiting here for 10 hours already and they don't care about who was in a room first or not! Multiple people who arrived hours after we did have been seen before us for non-emergency conditions. What a joke

My 72 year old mother went to the ER with excruciating back pain. She can’t sit, stand sleep or anything. They told her she has to wait at least 10 hours before the doctor sees her. The staff and nurses are very rude and disrespectful and lack care towards patients. Something has to be done about this hospital.

*WARNING TO DELIVERING MOMS* If your son is receiving a circumcision procedure, make sure to separate your payments to the physician and hospital and ALWAYS ask for a receipt. This is a cash payment for the doctor as this procedure is not covered through OHIP. My husband and I are now dealing with a collections agency as our payment was not recorded and the physician is claiming my son’s medical record is incorrect and that they do not have the money. As a first time mom and a new parent, this has been a horrible ordeal and I hope to bring awareness so that either the policy is amended where an invoice is provided by both physician and hospital, and/or nursing staff are also held accountable for not following policy and sending patients to the cashiers office for cash receipt.

I was at Met 4 North for 3 weeks with pneumonia. Although it was a much longer stay than I would have hoped the nurses were not just very professional but compassionate , personable and very friendly which made my stay much more tolerable. While being overworked by another covid wave. Hats off as well to Bill and the respiratory unit for helping get me on the road to recovery. I really can't say enough about the staff Thank you

My Fiance is waiting here with surgery complications and me and her have asked for ice for her severe swelling multiple times, other patients get ice immediately but she is being ignored. She isn't even supposed to be sitting with her stitches and yet is made to sit here ignored for up to 10 hours. There is no escape from discrimination and mistreatment especially not at this hospital.

The nurses in the maternity ward are amazing. Absolutely, amazing. Had to take a star off because of a ridiculous rule set in place by the hospital. No one under the age of 18 is apparently allowed in the hospital (unless being seen). So no sibling visits, no bringing a sibling to a follow up appointment or anything. Absolutely atrocious.

The wait in the ER with a toddler was a disaster. People were standing up or sitting on the floor due to no chairs or room. We waited 8 hours before being seen. When we finally made it into a room the doctor and nurse were incredible. Please please reopen the PUMU clinic. So many kids in the ER which could have been avoided.

I went in for day surgery yesterday and the hospital staff were great. They were all kind and compassionate even though it was a minor surgery, which I needed because I was still scared. One nurse came over to help when I was feeling dizzy from not eating, and another worker in the surgery room held my hand while they put the IV in. The kindness was much appreciated. My surgery did start about an hour late but I was still out and on my way home in about 3 hours from when surgery started, and I am happy to have been out same day. This was my first experience at Met campus but it was a good one!

THIS HOSPITAL (ED) WILL LET YOU DIE BEFORE TREATING URGENT MATTERS. Took my child in mins after going unconscious from choking and turning blue. I was able to clear the airway, and get them back as I have medical training. My child was puking and coughing up blood and I was told by the nurse the matter was NOT urgent!!! I grabbed my things and took him to Children's in Detroit and we were seen and had a bed RIGHT AWAY. Doctors and nurses filled our room and began assessing and treating right away. We were assured this WAS an urgent matter. My child's airway was torn and he was having complications that needed to be tended to in an emergent matter. HE WASNT EVEN EXAMINED AT WINDSOR HOSPITAL!!! WE WERE TOLD TO TAKE A SEAT IT WOULD BE A FEW HIURS!!! Note to any parents whose child needs emergency care, Children's hospital will discount and offer payment plans. Rather have a large bill than a dead child. This hospital is a DISGRACE. The staff is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

Terrible hospital. I couldn’t breath properly because of the Canadian wildfires this summer. They made me wait in the waiting room for 8 hours then finally tested me with x-rays bloodwork cats scan and sent me home the same day with NO DIAGNOSIS and breathing difficulties because they found nothing😂😂😂All these people did was pass the buck and refer me to a local doctor for further testing. Nurses and doctors there are lazy rude inept and ignorant and the hospital is good for nothing. If I could give this hospital a 0 rating I would! You’re better off staying at home. This is a prime example of a collapsing healthcare system thanks to greedy Trudeau and Ford. The healthcare system in Canada is now as bad as the USA. Good for nothing! DON’T GO THERE!

From personal experience when i went septic. This place was a nightmare! All staff did was talk bad about patients. Hanging around discussing their weekends ect. Sent home even though i still had serious issues only to be back hours later after, 21 days in a coma! Now my son and daughter-in-law need serious medical attention and to be told they dont know whats going on??? These are dr and nurses that went to school right??? Absolutely the worse care!!! Spent 3 months there and what i seen and heard im deathly afraid for my family!!!

A BIG THANK YOU to the male nurse in the triage room emergency dpt. whom I spoke with on Monday January the 8th at about 8:30 pm, there were no beds left in the ED as it was at full capacity, even people in hallways, after waiting for several hours I told him I could come back the next day, then he read on the computer why I was there and suggested that I take a certain over the counter medication which I did and it helped, also amicably suggested a walk in clinic the next day as the ED had been extremely congested lately, THANKS A MILLION male nurse you made a HUGE difference in the well-being of the people of Windsor

I can't create another review so this is edited Febuary 16th 2024. They still have the absolute worst services and unfortunately for everyone in windsor it also translates to the maternity ward. Literally have your kid in a different city at this point because 1/4 of the staff we dealt with when delivering our daughter a few days ago were super rude and not professional at all they even made my wife cry. Will definitely be following up with patient advocacy and reporting to the board of labor because this hospital is crooked and shouldn't even be open. 10 breaks in one night, one doctor, everyone knocks off early.. IN THE MATERNITY WARD TOO Apparently nobody knows how to fax any info over as I went to the ER waited 15 hours to be seen for alcholic gastritis and holes in my esophagus and when I got my bed I was literally kicked out of it an hour later while receiving IV drip. I have had to call the hospital back 5 times to follow up with faxing prescriptions and they referred me to a specialist without actually faxing the referral over to the specialist. Also everyone is extremely rude and unless you are dying you are considered no less than someone should be treated at a walk in clinic. Also everyone just gossips at night and purposefully only do vitals do avoid doing any work. Also saw a cockroach in the waiting room for the ER, and while I was there for 15 hours only one person cleaned and all he did was pick up cups left by other people, no sweeping, no mopping. Not only disgusting visually but disgusting professionaly. You are almost better off going to any other hospital. Third world country standards in a first world city. Insane

Had to wait 12 hours for xray results. Arrived at 3pm, got the xrays of my arm at 4pm and thought ok this is pretty quick. Ended up getting my name called around 12 midnight and had to wait another 3 hours for the doctor to see me. The dr was good, especially for being way overworked while the 100 nurses walk around doing nothing.

I went to this ER yesterday via ambulance due to bad chest/abdominal pain. The staff was amazing even though they are clearly over worked. The doctor on duty, Dr. Dan, was also an amazing doctor. Despite being called all over the place he made each patient feel important and even checked on some of them (including me) when he did not have to. All necessary tests were done on myself in a timely fashion (7 hours total) which us reasonable considering the work load and other patient priorates. I did feel very bad for some of the other patients who clearly were in a lot more pain than myself.

Wait time was very, but not very different from any other hospital. But the reason why I gave 5 stars was because the wonderfully pleasant nurses and staff they have. I never seen such caring staff before. Compared to toronto sick kids and brampton civic I felt like every single person working here was amazing and actually wanted to go out of their way to help. These 5 stars are solely for the staff.

I had a pretty good experience at WRH Met. All the nurses and doctors were very kind. The only thing I had a problem with is the triage nurse was kinda rude and did not take my pain seriously. I called an ambulance, and still waited over 8 hours to see a doctor. This is a joke of a hospital. All the nurses were extremely rude and acted like they didn’t care. I saw them talking to one another over coming and asking if I needed anything. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

Dr. Fasola, the general surgeon who often works at this hospital is simply amazing. Even behind the mask, you can tell that she is smiling and you have no choice but to have a feeling of trust and happiness when she is in your presence. Truly a human specimen that was obviously hand chosen from the heavens themselves. Thanks for all your hard work and lifetime dedication to helping others Laurie, it does not go unnoticed. - J

Five years ago my aunt was admitted for an operation at fhe Oulette campus. My experience was less than stellar there. Once again, my aunt had to go in for a colonocopy. The staff there were amazing. We arrived early and she was admitted within half an hour. Friendly orderly guided us to the coloncopy department. The wait time was acceptable. The nurses let us know what was going on so I appreciated that. My main gripe would have been the cafeteria. It was an eyesore: outdated decor and a messy area overall. Maybe because we arrived early in the morning but a cafeteria should at least have its lights on. We waited for about two hours before she was finished. Nice and easy. Definitely the hospital has updated its look in some place. But, I would suggest focusing on high traffic areas.

Multiple bad experiences here. Mostly by the security. Often approaching me unprovoked, no reason at all and saying I'm being rude, threatening to throw me out for standing up for my rights, checking my bag everytime while letting other people with bags through, off handed comments or questions that have nothing to do with their job of being security. Following people around like they are a criminal for trying to get medical help. Last experience here definately is the last, as I got harassed and got no help. Thankfully I called a doc that has nothing to do with hospital and they were willing to help me more in my emergency than the emergency room. Essentially I was only going to help from the emergency room was if I got hit by a car, I was told that personal emergencies are not emergencies. Save your self the trouble and go somewhere else, like London hospital or Leamington or Chatham

May be this is the first time I meet so kind person. (now I am 85 years ) . She said she is 40 years old. I do not know her name. I want to say thanks by this opportunity. Zhien Yu 2/6/2024

My 8 day stay was exceptional to say the least. Doctor's, nurse's and staff were so understanding and they all work very hard at their jobs. Professional and very compassionate right to the very end of my stay. The paramedics were extraordinary as well. Thanks to all!!!

The nurse said " you tested positive here, that's why you're in quarantine." Next day nurse came in and asked if my daughter had ever been tested...

👍👍 I felt that I needed to make a post about the experience I had today at the Hants Community Windsor Hospital. Was the wait long? Yep! Where there many people there? It was unbelievably packed! Did I get frustrated? Just a tad. But I have to thank the ALL of the staff at HCH for the excellent care...
