DO NOT GO to Beaumont for mental health issues! They treat their patients like trash in the waiting room. They let a COVID positive patient leave isolation room and no one stopped him. But they will send in 6 security guards. Can't make this up y'all. The doctors are liars tell you one thing and does the next. Been waiting 4 days they won't let me leave. I lost my job because of this. On top of it all they have "sitters " and below is what they get paid to do. Don't come here! Avoid at all cost

Well , I was admitted there for an emergency treatment, a surgery . The Hospital is very nice, the staff , doctors are very cordial and cooperative. At no point of time one feels lost or anxious about the getting the services required . My second visit was for the review of surgery carried out . Everything went smoothly, the restaurant, cafes inside are excellent and patients, attendants or any casual visitor can have good snacks, food and beverages at reasonable prices.

Absolutely horrid experience. My wife had surgery at Beaumont in Grosse Point. She contracted what is called a “Hospital Acquired Infection” meaning she got a staph infection because of the hospital. They had to admit her and transport her to Beaumont in Royal Oak where these photos were taken. Room is unkept, transport keeps blocking the bathroom with chairs, twice in one day!! I complained to their administrator and they just did it again. They do not care. Urine on the toilet seat, filthy containers left behind. Unprofessional staff that yells at you when you complain about the hazards left by transport. Unreal. My wife does not feel safe here and wants to be transported elsewhere. Room 7644

No stars. I’m sitting in the ER right now. Five hours in and no doctors or PA yet. Instead a tech gave me an iv cath IN the waiting room, but no fluids, nothing. Not even a diagnosis so I’m unsure why I have this in my arm. Do not come to this hospital. They have taken extremely sick patients back, given them oxygen and wheeled them back into the waiting room. I should have gone to Henry Ford.

Emergency room was a horrifying experience. My 90 year old mother was having shortness of breath & is a heart patient. Her cardiologist told us to have her admitted for immediate evaluation. She was taken in quickly & had an EKG & her vitals tested & just as quickly returned out to the waiting room where we sat, for 4 1/2 hours. She was getting restless & agitated, so I asked the front desk, manned by mostly 20 something year olds, what her status was & when she would be seen. I was told “I don’t know” we’re over capacity right now & only critical rooms are open. So apparently a 90 yr old heart patient having trouble breathing is not considered critical… shocked & saddened how this emergency room handled their patients. We ended up leaving because apparently her EKG was not critical enough to be seen before the 30+ patients who walked in on their own accord. I will never return to this hospital & fair warning to anyone considering going there for an emergency situation.

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at Beaumont Hospital’s ER. I arrived on a Wednesday night around 7 PM with abdominal pain, a situation I expected to be handled with urgency and care. However, what transpired over the next several hours was far from satisfactory. The wait time to see a doctor was egregiously long – a full five hours. When I inquired about the delay, the response from the nursing staff was that they were waiting for a doctor to pick up my case, as apparently no doctors were readily available. This was surprising and concerning, given the nature of an emergency room. Moreover, the medical attention I did receive was perplexing and irrelevant to my condition. Despite my abdominal pain, I underwent several expensive tests related to heart and lung health, which were not only unnecessary given my symptoms but also added undue stress and confusion to my visit. Predictably, these tests came back normal, which was no surprise since my issue was abdominal, not chest-related. My experience at Beaumont Hospital’s ER was not just inefficient, but also alarmingly misdirected. Having lived in major cities with busier ERs, I was shocked at the lack of prompt and relevant medical care here. The entire ordeal lasted about 8 hours – a duration I believe could have been significantly reduced with better management and more attentive medical care. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Beaumont Hospital’s ER. The inefficiency and mismanagement I encountered here were beyond acceptable, especially for emergency medical services. People in the area deserve a better hospital and there are none around.

Beaumont Royal Oak use to be the best hospital around. Now it's the worse. How is it the emergency room is at a stand still? Makes no sense. They just have people sitting freezing. It's like a deep freezer in here. As long as I've waiting granted I had surgery & is here because something is not right, it's like they could careless. They could have given me fluids by now so by the time I get to the back we will know if the catheter needs to be flushed or if something else is going on. And then the after hours doctor has yet to call.and it's been 2 hrs. Makes me feel.like they are trying.to kill us off.

My daughter-in-law was having a baby. Her water broke and she didn’t get a room for over 4 hours. They have a son who wanted to see his little sister as soon as she was born. Due to Covid, he could not go in the hospital until after baby was born. I came from 3 hours away to stay with him outside until then. It became nighttime and the staff would not even allow us to stay in the lobby 5 feet from the door. They also couldn’t recommend me to a hospitality house or any where else we could go to be able to be inside at nighttime. They care more about Covid then about the safety of their patients or patient’s support system. If I don’t make it home tonight, it’s because I was forced to sit outside, with 2 children, during the night. I gave them 2 stars because the facility was clean and they were kind enough to let us use the restroom.

I went to the Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak a couple of days ago because I was vomiting constantly. The front desk people here were disgustingly rude. They gave me a huge attitude because I wouldn't wear a mask because I was throwing up. Then they told me I couldn't drink water because I was throwing up. They yelled at me for getting a sip of water from the drinking fountain. Then I heard them yelling at another patient for asking how much longer when they already waited 13 hours. The mixed worker on the right at the front desk literally just sits on her phone. I'm never going back to this hospital. Horrible staff.

This hospital is a little bit aged, but overall it’s in good condition. East tower employees were mostly polite, although there were some people who really didn’t care and stayed in their phones. Nurses and doctors are doing the best, but it would be nice to get a more personalized attention and someone to actually follow up on all the promises they make.

My mother has been in the hospital since November 3rd. She is currently on 8 south , Been here to visit daily and every day her room is fithy garbage cans over flowing. Empty trays "multiple" sitting on counter. Empty syringes on counter and bed side table. A coffee trail going from sky walk all the way to gold elevator for 2 days. Over all a very dirty place. Dr.'s and staff are amazing very informative and helpful

Do not bring your family members here this is the worst hospital. Dr. Daniel Fahim did surgery on my mom didn’t speak to us before the procedure or after, three days later my moms has breathing issues ended up in ICU , then all the others doctors who were involved in her care decided that there’s nothing much that can do for her . While in 4 east ICU for a week she developed bed sores , my moms recover and gets off the ventilator and tells me how bad the midnight shift nurses treated her especially Jessie who talk mean , removed the phone from her and wouldn’t allow her to call home. I made a formal complaint with the nursing supervisor and patient advocate , this hospital needs to be reported and blasted on the news and all social media platforms.

For having the best doctor's and reputation for a long time, I have seen what happens when a great institution is bought out by a not so great health care system. For the hospital being slow in the ER, patient care and updates and answers are very hard to be received by staff to the patient. Not very impressed with the new institution of spectrum and Beaumont merger

The sign in the EC lobby says "voted best ER" but it makes you wonder if they paid for the hospital paid for this status. If your loved one has an emergency, don't come here! My father was brought in by ambulance, it took an 2 hr and 45 minute for a resident to come into his room and God knows how long if will take to get any tests done....

Very nasty to the point that it doesn't look safe to be here. Nurse had to push the garbage forcing it inside the trashcan without even changing her gloves after it. Last place you want to be in . Shame

My man is currently here after having a stroke and heart surgery, the communication between the doctors is a nightmare. 1 out of 10 you are getting a nice caring compassionate nurse. Things have been horrible to say the least. If you love your family member take them somewhere else. Really regret not transferring him to u of m a long time ago as we have been here 5 weeks.

I took my family member to this hospital on this Monday 12/18/23 for a procedure in the imaging dept on 2 South which resulted in her experiencing severe complications which were totally ignored and she was discharged even though we were against her being discharged in such state. She ended up in the ER there s few hours later and the nurse treated her very inhumanly. The nurse inserted a catheter without any pain medication or lubricant. The nurse was very rough and showed no care or compassion. Once again my family member was discharged improperly. We know that these things would not happen to a Caucasian person. This appears to be a very racist hospital. I would not send my worst enemy to Royal Oak Beaumont. This hospital should be held accountable for their actions and how they treat people. I wish I could rate it with zero stars.

I'm writing this review from the emergency room. I arrived at 5:30pm. It is now 10pm and I have yet to be seen. The woman next to me has been waiting since 2pm to be seen. A passing nurse said there is currently a 10 hour wait! I drove all the way here because Beaumont did my surgery in 2017 and they were phenomenal. I'm extremely disappointed. I highly recommend you do not waste your time here and go elsewhere. Update: it is currently 3:10am and I have still not been brought back to a room.

Covid restrictions are on point 👉 here. Be ready to be checked ✔ ✅ thoroughly, no weapons! My wife n I felt like we we're being judged because of the comments made by security guards as we we're being checked into emergency to see our family member who had to be rushed to hospital🏥. We have tattoos, piercing, beard, supporter shirts on. The other 3 people in line were never questioned like we we're. Just empty your pockets in step through the metal detector. Only 1 person allowed to visit at a time ⏲. Maybe rethink this visiting situation a little bit for the reason if someone coming to see someone has a disability themselves of need of a companion to assisting them through a visit to see their loved 1 or of another matter as well. Grateful for the seriousness of security guards and the workers at the help center 👍 😀 😉 desk. As well for the hospitality of the Nurses in Doctors who help our family 👪 member ❤.

I took my father to the ER last night. The doctor's and nurses were wonderful. I just have one suggestion. Some sort of method to let you know where you are on the waiting list for a room would be helpful. We sat there for over 2 hours in the waiting room. I understand that you have to take the most serious cases first but it would be nice to have some idea if you will be waiting approximately an hour or 10 hours.

My dad has been in the ER for 4+ hours and a “doctor hasn’t picked up his case.” So we sit here, ask for input and get snarky responses from the nurses, etc. He is here for a hip injury and they thought the urgent thing to do was to take a blood sample. Then we were supposed to be happy when they said the results were excellent. His pain is a 10. I honestly don’t have a clue what is going on here, but I will strongly discourage use of this hospital moving forward.

Avoid this one. Save yourself and seek medical care elsewhere. These doctors fail to properly attend to patients, often delegating care to inexperienced residents who appear disorganized and repetitive in their questioning. They flock to your room in numbers to see the new patient. No experience dealing with little children and the lack of skills is just appalling. There is a distinct lack of compassion throughout the facility, leaving one to question the motivations behind their choice of profession. It becomes evident that their primary concern is financial gain rather than genuine patient well-being. I must acknowledge that one or two nurses stood out as compassionate and genuine. The doctor who was on our case never came. We had to come in after 2 days because the resident did a shoddy job. Again we had to come back to this horrible place, to be treated even worse. Don’t want anyone to go through this hell. Please, if you can just avoid this place. We couldn’t and we face the consequences. The residents should absolutely not be allowed to see patients without the attending, they are the worst.

I took my husband to the emergency room for abominable pain, vomiting, diarrhea and his blood pressure was high for him. And they said it was not a priority enough. So I asked them how long do they think the wait time would be and they told me that it could be anywhere from an hour to twelve hours. Then they called security because they said there was yelling. There was no yelling. Really? Afterwards all of a sudden all these beds opened up and my husband went in the back within 2 minutes. Sorry it had to come to this. That is why people avoid hospitals

This used to be the benchmark for other hospitals to achieve. Now between the staff and patient care it is one of the worse. Several times during my stay there I considered leaving AMA. The lack of staff and just the overall lack of caring about their patients is terrible. The worst thing is I was admitted on Tuesday and it took me making it an issue to finally get my MRI on Sunday. I am here for a bone and blood infection and the delay in care by this hospital just amazed me. The hospital is so greedy that they continue jam 2 beds in a room so several time my IV was either knocked down by staff or neighboring patients visitors. The rooms and hallways are dirty and don’t feel as if you are in a sterile environment to heal. Then it doesn’t seem like much but when you have to stay for a period of time a small comfort is getting the food you order to be correct. After 8 meals were either missing items or wrong all together. I would love to tell the hospital management about the issues.

On 12-28, my son entered ER at 5am. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC THE DOCTORS AND NURSES ARE AWESOME, but ER room 321 was horrible. It HAD NOT been cleaned. The garbage was overflowing, the bathroom was dirty with no soap or paper towels to wash hands. When they moved the hospital bed, there was bloody gauze and other garbage that was left from a prior patient under the bed. My son went in for a heart issue. We had to wait 15 hrs for a bed in a dirty room. The ER nurse kept calling house keeping but no one showed up. Just surprised on how dirty the RR room was.

My children were both born here, and my father recently had a brain tumor removed. Since the moment we entered through their doors, everyone has been quite friendly. Despite the fact that they were likely short-staffed, everyone did their utmost to accommodate us. This hospital comes highly recommended from me! I'd simply like to point out that their nurses and doctors are angels on earth!

If you are having a baby, don't do it here. I had a brutal child birth experience there many years ago. So bad in fact, I never wanted to have more children. Hindsight, I should have filed a complaint. I was young at the time and too afraid to say anything. They were very busy and we got horrible care. Our main nurse was borderline abusive. The staff was tired, overworked, dismissive and nasty. I didn't get the help I needed badly. Maybe things have changed by now, but I wouldn't chance such an important experience as labor and delivery. I went out of my way to give birth here, thinking it would be a well staffed, wonderful hospital. I was very wrong.

July 24 at approximately 3 AM I had a discharge of a good amount of blood from a wound that was left from cancer surgery two years prior. I went to the ER where basically they cleaned me up and two doctors looked at the wound and told me to follow up with my Colon/Rectal doctor. They sent me home. Nearly one week later at about 4:30 AM I've had another major discharge of blood. Beaumont made me feel like I was a nobody and that I didn't matter and now I don't feel like I have an option but all I can do is sit here and bleed to death. I would not send my loved ones to Beaumont nor will I ever go back there again. Update: After I posted this review, Beaumont followed up with a phone call and a letter reaffirming their treatment provided was standard care. Fast forward to today August 22. I had an appointment with my proctologist . The first question from my doctor was did they do a CT? I replied no. Now I have to schedule an appointment to get a CT done. Mind you I had major surgery removing cancer and a colostomy put in, there at Beaumont in 2021. I guess they didn't read my medical history there at Beaumont. I will get my CT done at Henry Ford, and it's too bad that my doctor isn't with Henry Ford as well. I will not give up this well liked doctor because of poor management at Beaumont.

I’ve only had one big experience here. It wasn’t as a patient or employee but as a field student and it was a horrific experience. If you’re looking for a structured and step by step way to learn with nice and understanding people above you then you will not find it here, far from it. I was let go and actually very happy for it now since I never have to go back for my whole life as someone who works there. Beaumont’s reputation is tarnished in my book because of my 2 months there and what I experienced first hand, mainly from 3 individuals. Really traumatizing and abusive situation I was in, behind closed doors specifically. For what felt like so long, I was told to do things a certain way and then told to do something completely different than the way I was shown before, and therefore could not learn fast enough for them because they always changed their standards and rules. They judged me very harshly for my mistakes when I was still brand new to the hospital! They never wanted a student or to give them a quality learning experience, only free labor when I still barely knew how to do anything. It was completely inexcusable and messed up. They even got mad at me for apologizing too much (which they made me always feel like I needed to do with how the mistake was treated). At the same time, I never got credit or reinforcement for any of the gains I made or anything that I could do right. I stayed late and got there early every day and I also took pages and pages of notes. I worked incredibly hard and was still reprimanded by the people above me, who didn’t even give me any professional courtesy. I even tried to be nice and professional and thank them to at least be the bigger person from my end. When I shook my superior's hand, she didn't even have the respect for me to look me in the eye. And not to mention, them changing their name to Corewell just doesn’t sound right and is an unwise decision, everyone is still going to call it Beaumont. I’ll give it 1 star for being clean and that’s it. I was expecting the best opportunity of my life and I ended up being set up for failure from the very beginning. Inexcusable what they do to their students and how they expect them to pick stuff up, at least in one particular department. And the sad thing is I don’t expect anything to change for the better any time soon.

Review from a Nurse to the Nurses at Beaumont: Julie, your care was very disheartening especially as a Pediatric nurse. Julie, you are very dismissive, abrasive and i guess allergic to saying “you’re welcome” whenever being told thank you. Julie you really rubbed me the wrong way. My 13 year old daughter who was hospitalized for a car accident requested Motrin and you never delivered— very neglectful. I wouldn’t leave you alone with my pet turtle. HEATHER: You’re AWESOME! Your level of CARE, PROFESSIONALISM and ATTENTION to detail was immaculate!! When you came on shift it was like a breath of fresh air. Beaumont give this Nurse a RAISE! Thank you for the excellent bedside mannerism, the MOTRIN and going over and beyond. Heather gets 6 stars ⭐️ Julie you are the reason for the overall 1 star, i hope you at least get an in service on proper patient care.

This hospital saved my life back in 2020 but if I was in the same predicament last night it would've been a different outcome. People were waiting 7+ hours just to be seen by a doctor. That is ridiculous. I know this is a for profit hospital but when you serve a large population of people, you need to hire the appropriate amount of staff. The best time to go to the E.R. is between 6am-12pm if you want to get proper and swift care.

3 disappointing moments within 2 months! First my daughter who is 2.5 went in for a CT, they lady tried to strap her head down with ace bandage as my daughter was screaming for help! She gave her stickers to help calm her down and when she didn’t calm down, the lady took the stickers back as of a 2.5 year old who’s traumatized would understand why. We went back to try again with sedation. We were told two different check in places and times. We ended up waiting almost 4 hours after the latest time we were told. Lastly I received two bills for said CT and they are labeled the same. I called to ask for itemized break down and was told to call my insurance and ask them. When I explained I’m calling about the bill from them, they wouldn’t budge and hung up on me. This hospital is really going down hill fast. Go anywhere but here!

Waited several hours before I left. There were a good 6-7 in the emergency lobby. The medical staff called the same three patients for the hours I waited in the lobby. Eventually I just left. Figured I wouldn’t wait several hours because the emergency room was relatively empty. Typically I go to Henry ford but this is closer and more convenient to my home. Henry ford is usually jam packed in the emergency room and I never wait several hours to be seen. The medical staff would call the three names roll them in the back bring them back up front toll them in the back again and then bring them back up front again.

I have brought my daughter here for about 1.5 years now. I was very impressed with the doctors right away, we switched all of her specialist here because of how well they care for her. After having a horrible experience with the previous hospital we were with, I was happy to have found a team dedicated to her health. I unfortunately am giving 3 stars because although the pediatric doctors we see are AMAZING, the answering service staff is the exact opposite. We are frequently coming to the hospital for multiple types of testing, ER visits, and hospital stays due to my daughters medical needs. I do not exaggerate when I have had a horrible experience with every answering service staff member. They are always rude and treat me as an inconvenience for calling, cut me off when I am trying to explain my reason for calling, and do not always transfer my messages. I hate to leave a half bad review because I truly am happy with the specialist she sees, but I am fed up with their answering service staff being rude. I do not enjoy my daughter having to be a regular hospital visitor at 2 years old, and I certainly would think a pediatric answering service would have more compassion for pediatric patient parents having to deal with the medical concerns we do. Do better!

(Beumont Royal Oak) I just had spine surgery a few days ago here and now I'm home. I must of encountered over 50+ people (doctors, nurses, etc..) I've never felt so well taken care of in my life. Everyone was so nice and polite to me and went above in beyond when I was uncomfortable or in pain after my surgery. I'm extremely happy that I had my surgery done here. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. A lot of angels working here ❤️

The care at Beaumont- Royal Oak is absolutely unmatched. I came into the ER upon referral from my ophthalmologist for some vision issues and left four days later having found and removed a tennis ball sized tumor from my right occipital lobe. The team entire from nurses to doctors to surgeons was the most patient, kind, and knowledgable team I have had the opportunity to come to know and it is to then who I owe my life. The facility from the ER to the neurology unit is immaculate and the care is outstanding. So grateful for this awesome team of hardworking people.

Worst labor and delivery experience ever, my care was neglected, after getting my epidural I was not closely monitored! My blood pressure tanked and my daughter heart rate dropped. The nurse taking care of me was on lunch break and whom ever was supposed to be covering her was clearly not watching. I had a midwife who was AWESOME come in after apparently hearing my machine constantly beeping. I could hear her ask who is the nurse for bed such and such , she stated her machine has been going off for a while . She was UPSET that no one was monitoring me after my epidural. Grant it I’m a RN myself however under that circumstance I was unable to advocate for myself due to the amount of pain I was in and due to me being sedated. My midwife stayed with me until I gave birth to my daughter and thankfully she was okay. Then they tried to send me home the following day even after my daughter jaundice levels were high. They stated they needed the room for other birthing mothers ! I DECLINED, they wanted me to come to the pediatrician the next day however I stay quite a distance from the hospital and I did not want to come back the next day to check my daughter levels. Fast forward to my stay , they left TRASH in my room for TWO DAYS, I kept asking my nurse if she could remove the trash because it was very unsanitary. The nurse stated she will have housekeeping come remove it they never came. For two days I had sanitary napkins, dirty diapers, food etc left in my room. The nurse said oh I’m sorry housekeeping is short staff ! No excuse mind you I’m a whole nurse in the event housekeeping is unable to take the trash you would think a nurse or cna remove the trash from your room. However no one touched it , the nurse said that’s not her job! I would never return to this hospital and DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I went to the ER for shortness of breath, assumed I was having an asthma flare-up, but was really low on my oxygen saturation. I was admitted and in a room within 2 hours. I had an abundance of compassionate medical staff the entire stay of 3 days. when I got to the room, there was a care specialist who explained the process to me, and what to expect. He put me at ease when it was my first hospital stay, and I was extremely scared and alone. I don't have anyone around I could call for support, and this could have been a very lonely, scary experience for someone in this situation. I'm ever so grateful for everyone from the cheerful cafeteria personnel who made me laugh every day, to the nurses, doctors, residents (who clearly pay attention and know their stuff), nurses assistants and and the med techs who gently awakened me for my next dose of medications and injections. It wasn't scary. And when it came time to be discharged, the process was smooth, efficient and prompt. I could have waited all day for the next set of rounds, but they valued my time and I really appreciated everyone there. You all did phenomenally, and alleviated a life-long fear of mine. THANK YOU.

My mom has no complaints about this hospital she had colon cancer surgery, and it was great however we brought her back to get her colostomy looked at and 1:30 to 4 waited in the waiting room, now in the room it’s 8pm and we are still waiting on someone to get this done. Will not let her come back over here for this type of assistance. This was just ridiculous! On top of that the staff was rude as can be. Horrible! 0 is my rating!

if i could give a zero for the emergency department i would, i had a horrible experience the nurse i spoke to was very disrespectful, i just called to check on my family member who went to ER earlier today and haven’t heard from since and she told me that she (the nurse) was too busy and rushed me off the phone i had talked to 7 people to get to the right person and she tell me she busy ……now ain’t that bout something. medical staff of today have no empathy, love or concern. this beamont use to be the best back in the day.

I do not know how this hospital is ranked #2 in Michigan. This hospital makes terrible mistakes all the time. We specifically tell everyone we know NOT to go here, unless you want to die. It's negligence and lack of accountability for huge mistakes made almost cost me my life. I personally know 4 young people who went into this hospital for help and never came out alive. Do not go here ever

If I could give them no stars I would, I was told Beaumont would be the best hospital to deliver my baby at and a trip through obgyn triage and antepartum became a nightmare. While in triage I had a cerclage upon arrival and began dilating at 34 weeks and they were very concerned about the stitch continuing to tear my cervix and not that they had received results that my blood sugar was 249. I stayed for a week and on my 4th day I was made aware my blood sugar was 249 upon arrival and now at 495 and that meds I was received long helped spike it. I felt they were very very negligent and whetting ready to be released everyone was disorganized didn’t explain things very well as far as home care and I had a terrible experience and will not be delievering here

This is the hospital to go to if you have a death wish. The majority of staff that my family and myslef have had to deal with are incompetent, rude, neglegent, and dangerous. They milk the insurance for everything they possibly can and what they can't they stick you with the bill with no transparency of cost. Here's an actual example of an interaction: "would you like hydrocodine for the pain? Yes. Okay, we'll send in the nurse with your medication"....time pases, no nurse - excuse me but is the nurse coming soon with the hyrdocodine?" "What nurse? We never offered you that, you must be an addict, we're sending in a counslor to have you evaluated." I currently have a family member in their observation center. They refuse to send in a doctor, only PAs and nurses. It's going on 3 days, they refuse to investigate the diagnosis that we have nailed down ourslves from our own research which would allow him to be addmitted to the hospital. In the meantime, they are driving up the tab out of pocket by claiming there's no diagnosis, insiting on PT even though, the patient is unable to stand or sit upright. They insisted that he did sit up and placed him in a chair. 15 minutes later, he was on the brink of death with extremely low blood pressure and shallow breathing. They did nothing, no alerts went off, nothing. We had to scream and beg for the nurses to come in and when they did, the emergency response team stormed in and saved his life in the nick of time. They have no empathy, are not concerned with discovering the cause (likely covid vax injury based on the timeline), no concern with an accurate diagnosis. If we hadn't been there our familiy member would not be alive. These are only a few instances. I could go on and on. This is a for-profit hospital only, who are lawyered up and you are just a number. They have killed patients in the recent past after intentionaly bringing in less qualified, lower paid anesthesia staff. Avoid at all costs.

After parking there are no signs to get to hospital entrance. Parking ramp Elevator said LL for tunnel to hospital but no where to go when you exit elevator. Dress warm because it’s cold everywhere. Can’t use reward points at the in hospital Starbucks. The information screen with patient status for family members needs improvement. There is no heading to show what is in each column. When you finally find the patient’s number all the data jumps away and you start all over. Put headings at the top and slowly scroll the data so you can keep your eye on the data! When leaving the parking ramp to pick up the discharged patient, there again are no signs to get you to the South Entrance! Come on, you can do better!

Fantastic hospital. It's my preferred place for medical. Beaumont has more nationally ranked hospitals in Michigan than any other health system by U.S. News & World Report in the 2021-2022 "America's Best Hospitals" rankings. Four Beaumont hospitals are also in the top 10 hospitals in the state and 24 specialty programs among the top 10% in the country. Beaumont Health has received the Crain's Excellence in HR Award for their demonstrated commitment to finding and growing talent. Beaumont's variety of HR recruiting efforts that include its administrative fellowship program, partnering with organizations to recruit veterans, individuals with disabilities and recruiting of high school and college students are among the many initiatives that have helped earned them this recognition.

I hate the long wait time for emergency. I appreciate how very through, the staff are. I truly like the dedication of the staff. The younger staff, members, I think, need to be a bit sensiive, in how they, talk to and respect seniors. Over all I like the kindness, in the midst of a very busy place. Is greatly appreciated. I encourage you keep up the good work. 🌷:)

I had back surgery on June 12th. It was supposed to be an overnight, however I ended up being there for a week and then off to rehab. While I was there, though I can't say much good about the food, the staff that was there taking care of me were amazing. I wish I could remember all there names. So I just want to say a great big shot out to the following, Grace, Tara, Chrissy, Garret and the best ever Sherie. Thank you so much for all your care and seeing to my every need. You are all amazing.

The nurses (Melissa) was delightful, polite, and knowledgeable. She drew blood from the top of my hand which is usually more painful, but not at the hands of this nurse, I barely noticed the needle poke, outstanding! Beaumont hospital is huge, because of it's size I had difficulty finding a close parking spot. Unfortunately, I had to walk quite a distance to my appointment. After my appointment, somehow, I got turned around, and wasn't sure which way to go. Fortunately, a nurse named Jennifer, without me asking noticed I was uncertain where to go. Jennifer, approached me and asked me where was I trying to get to.So, she actually walked me to where my car was parked. I guess some of them are heroes. I am very appreciative of these kind people, and thankful for their professional, and humane behavior.Good job!

Eltayeb Elshiekh walked into my room and did not introduce himself or tell me what he did at the hospital. He did not bother asking for my name, why I was there, or how I was feeling. I came in for a stroke, so it seems like as a doctor you'd want to make sure your patient is feeling alright but I guess that was expecting too much. His only visit to my room was 2 seconds before I was discharged. He was asking me if I had been through certain procedures and it seemed like he was totally clueless as to what I had been through. He is the prime example of why I will never trust the health care industry. I'm disgusted with this doctor's behavior. The hospital and staff there deserve so much better than to have a doctor like this represent the hospital. It's concerning the hospital would discharge me when the doctor has no idea of whats going on as it seems extremely unsafe.. The nurses were phenomenal, but I cannot give this hospital a higher review rating when they do not hold doctors accountable.

The service has went so far south over the years. I came here this evening after work 9:30p. I informed them of my symptoms. Sweats, nausea , chest and back pain short of breath. It is now 6am no dr or pa has stopped by to evaluate me. I had to call department manager to get an x-ray to make sure I wasn't drowning in fluids. After that nothing... I waited 3 hours for him to call me back. He never did so I called back the woman who answered the phone refused to connect my call instead transferring me to other departments that I didn't ask to be transferred too. Unfortunately whenever I stand I get extremely out of breath and dizzy. Otherwise I would go to west Bloomfield where I could get help

Sheryl or Sherry (sorry it’s been a year since I’ve gone ) in non-stress-test was amazing. Friendly kind and knowledgeable. Nurse Ann was an absolute angel. After I had my cesarean section for my daughter I stayed in the hospital around 3 days. Every time this nurse would walk in I felt very comfortable. She was knowledgeable, extremely calm, very professional, very compassionate. She is an angel. I will always remember the love and care she made me feel.

Both of my kids were born here and my father just had a brain tumor removed. Everyone was very nice since We walked through their doors. Even though they are probably short staffed, everyone gave their best to accommodate us. I would definitely recommend this hospital! I just want to add that their Nurses along the Doctors are angels on earth!

My surgeons on Dr. Parks team, the nurses and especially Dr. Ecaterina Cretu. I've been in the hospital for 5 surgeries, and a few other complications in the last four years and they have done nothing but fight to help my pain 🖤

What an absolutely wonderful doctor. Dr. Gruskin made me feel so comfortable from start to finish. She was the doctor on call when I was diagnosed with cholestasis, along with already having gestational diabetes and gestational hypertension. I was so scared going into the hospital because I had two previous c sections and horrible experiences. Her and the entire team were so nice, so informative, so comforting and so kind. I honestly cannot say enough good things about our visit from start to finish. She safely brought our last little girl into the world, answered all my questions, nothing felt rushed. I would recommend her a thousand times over. Thank you so much Dr.Gruskin and all of the Beaumont staff.

Thank you too Justin F, my gynecologist team, my nurses, the staff running my test, and whomever i missed. I went in for stomach pain to find out I was internally bleeding from a cyst. They gave me blood and did emergency surgery. They truly saved my life, and I'll forever be grateful for all their wonderful employees. This is not my first experience in this facility, and I will continue utilizing their wonderful life changing services.

I had a great experience at this hospital I went to the dearborn location few days before and after 7 hour I was sent home to let it play out! I got worse and decided to go to royal oak beamount.. the speed at which I was checked in was crazy.. within 1 hour I was in an er room and tests underway and with another hour they found out what i had. 3 and half hours in total I was discharge with a body loaded with antibiotics and a plan for treatment. Thank you for the great treatment

As you can notice from the rest of the reviews this hospital is awful. I went to the hospital with rib pain suspecting an PE. Took hours to see anyone, all they care about is collecting your information and as it was painful to talk seemed like the staff was very low on competence. Finally got in a bed. Had to be poked 4 times by 3 different people and the first pole was probably the worst pain I ever felt with blood splattering everywhere. Came in at 11. It was almost 6pm and I still hadn’t got a CAT Scan. Beaumonts solution to everything and their response is oh we are very busy. It seems like Beaumont will hire anyone as they workers never seem experienced like other facilities. Anybody who works in healthcare knows that if they say this, you are in the wrong place to trust your life. Sit in a cold bed for hours. No one checked on me. Wasn’t even offered a blanket. No room phone in room. My ekg machine came out. So it was beeping unresponsive, do u think anyone care or came to check? Of course not. After waiting over 6 hours for a CAT scan I decided to sign my self out and go somewhere else. This place is horrible and I regret it everytime I go.
