I come here every Friday and Saturday because I do marketing in one of the sneaker stores... Just shut the place down. All anchor stores are gone, only 3-4 decent stores are still here; the rest are just local pop up shops, more spaces are empty than currently in use. Most of the bathrooms are “out of order” and have been like that for 3 months minimum now. Same with one of the escalators. Cockroaches also live in the bathrooms. If I had to guess, this whole “mall” made up of probably 15 “stores” when in reality it has room for over 50 stores. If I had to guess, the mall only makes $2,000 a week MAYBE. I hate that I have to come here. I see people giving this mall 3 stars just based off of the fact they once loved the place. Its dead and gone now, shut it down.

Sooooo the last time I visited this farce of a mall was about 5 years ago. I had no idea it had transformed into an indoor strip mall! Almost EVERY store is identical with "hood" merchandise and over priced name brand clothing (mainly Jordan and Nike). There are also a few shoe stores sprinkled in and an off brand Payless that sales suppose to be "brand new but look used shoes". I have no clue who works here because no one greeted us when we entered and no one helped us or even came to see if we needed assistance, I left once I saw the quality of the shoes and the lack of customer service. I am assuming none of the stores have restrooms and it is expected of all customers to utilize the 2 they have opposite sides of the mall. The bathrooms were unsurprisingly nasty! The parking lot is a whole other page of complaints! Let's just say that in some lanes the cars were parked so zigzag, you had to back out of the lane because you couldn't drive all the way through. The contributing factor may be that the majority of the parking lines are not there(very dangerous, and a greater chance of car damage). When you go in door 6 the first store on the left has a clearance sale on drones and toys. He has prices for small drones you can purchase from" Wally World " (Walmart) for $30 at $80 with 50%off lol😂, come on Sir you will never be prosperous when in the business of knowingly getting over on others. Last tid-bit, there's a store that is located INSIDE of the mall that you CANNOT ACCESS from INSIDE of the mall! lol, I'm not kidding, you have to go outside of the mall to come back in the store located where?, IN THE MALL... Needles to say I'll only come back to watch it get demolished!

R.I.P. After years of great memories. Eastland has finally closed its doors. The entire mall is closed down!!! This was the mall I got my first suit, Tuxedo, Was the first place I took a girl on a date to watch the Five Heartbeats,Then Ate at the foodcourt. I'll miss all the great smells during the Holidays. Thanks for the Memories.

The mall is on its last leg. No more anchor store. Check out game stop for the most part!

SIGHHHHHHHHHHH........55.5 years old here and I grew up at the Hudsons/Marshall Fields & Macy's all my life with, naturally my Mom taking me there all through my childhood for shopping. I also worked at Hudsons' in 85/86 "ish" and shopped there right up until the past 5-10 years when it really went downhill. Since Macy's closed day before yesterday, I don't see, at all how the mall's going to stay open. Just spoke with the mall management office 5 minutes ago and was, of course, told by the woman working there that there's "no intention" of it closing. However I guarantee anyone that all the staff's been told (threatened?) to say that no matter what. VERY, very sad that Macy's closed due to a combination of demographics change from it's shopping population evaporating, the destruction of Detroit spilling over into Harper Woods, online shopping, possible over saturation of brick & mortar stores and the crime that over took the mall however minor many of the malls ardent supporters might think it was/is. It used to be SO, so beautiful and classy. I know that the one constant in life is change but that doesn't mean that all that change is easy to take. What an incredible shame and loss that all us east siders looking to shop for anything decent, let alone high quality have had to drive at least 25-35 minutes to either Oakland or Somerset Macy's for years now. Just search "Hudson's Eastland Mall vintage" on Youtube for some wonderful videos of how beautiful it was back in the late '50's & early-to-mid 60's.....there were koi ponds with metal sculptures AND lotus blossom plants no less w/custom landscaping all around! And they used to have Easter "parades" for Gods' sake with women shoppers who'd dress up for it and do the same with their children and participate in the "parade"! MAJOR bummer <:-(

This is the last of the original shopping malls near Detroit. I love this place but slot has changed due to customers and Covid

Not much people are buying and shopping here it’s mainly us. But I would jump for joy whenever we went here. 10/10, gave me the best memories growing up in this place

Pothole Land. Terrible place.. that's what they get for trying to exploit the residents of Detroit by building a mall across the street from the city of Detroit good riddance along with Northland too

This mall use to be very popular and had a lot of nice stores, it's slowly going down. The store I went to was fine.

This mall is almost empty now. At least that's how it feels when I go. I like to go inside and walk the mall when it's cold outside. But I rarely go just to shop. It's hard to give a good rating when I never find anything to buy there. It's still clean, but all the great stores are gone. So 3 stars from me.
