Southland has some good options for stores. This is the first time I have been in here in probably 5 years. Looks to be well maintained. Doesn't look run down and has relevant stores for the times. I do miss the old food court. But it didn't matter because they still have The Pretzel Peddler for a quick nibble. Nice Bright Lighting and a nice place to sit and plug your phone in between stores.

I will never look at this mall the same, I spent my adolescent years here and you took out the best, coolest feature you had, the food court! I know its been gone for years, but it ruined it for me, that food court was amazing, to be able to look up and see the sky and hear birds churping, and see real birds running around, was an awesome experience, and you took that away for a Best Buy 😒

I had a great visit today at Southland Mall I first visited the $15 threading eyebrow in the middle by Macy's and which the lady was great her name is Dolly ask for her and then I visited the famous on the other end other side of Macy's and got my hair curled with some flat irons that are amazing that you might want to check out best ever and Blair is the best who had done my hair thank you very much 💯💕🥰 I also visited the candy shop in which was very clean and organized remind me of my childhood and the customer service was excellent thank you for a pleasant visit I appreciate you all I love Southland Mall 💯💞🥰

Some nice selections, would give a higher rating if not for the fact I got pressured to do a shoe cleaning, even though I objected, then pressured to "give something" since they put in the effort, even though I was clearly in a hurry to leave since I was dizzy/woozy and feeling ill. Guess that makes an easy target? Better now and here I am.

Mall life is dead so it's kinda nice to be there when it's not crazy busy but no good food. I grew up in the area and this was an awesome place. Still has a lot of shops but no longer many food options. Used to have a dinosaur food court that was the highlight of going. RIP dinosours

I love the smoothie place in the western most court next to Macys. It's called BB Smoothie & Wraps 🌯. I recommend the Strawberry 🍓 and Banana 🍌 smoothie wholeheartedly but there are many, many choices to pick from. Smaller sizes are available for the little ones if you prefer. Everything is made quickly, and fresh, by the staff as you wait. There is bench seating in the court so you can relax and eat your food and enjoy your smoothie. Prices are reasonable and masks are optional at this time. Also, due to it's location in the Malls court, it's very wheelchair accessible. Rick Zorn

Mall was closed weekend before Christmas. didn't open until 10am. Thank goodness Macy's was open at 8am. But clerk in Macy's wouldn't sell item that was posted online at discount. Had to go on line and order item for the discount.

4 stars. Still a nice mall. Better see it while it's still here. At a point in history this would get 5 stars but it still is the best mall in Wayne County. Has a nice selection of stores still. No food court anymore but it has several restaurants surrounding it.

yesterday I had an security officer come into ultra and confront me of "stealing", I'm not sure if it was cause I was walking slow or cause I had my hand on my face most the time. but its from my anxiety and won't take that as the excuse, The security asked me to empty my entire pure and pockets in front of a huge line and of course everyone was staring at me, given I was at the check out counter already, He says it extremely loud "we already have you on camera stealing" as I asked to record, of course after emptying everything and not finding anything, he claims, it was a false alarm and walked away, This is the most embarrassing and unprofessional way to do things and in front of a packed store, My anxiety tends to get very severe and did not go down for the rest of the night, I had to go get an emergency refill go my lexapro. This was absolutely traumatizing for me.

One star, because I can't give zero. I have never been more upset. While shopping, with my daughter and niece, for homecoming dresses... my infant had an accident while being changed, in the FILTHIEST women's bathroom. Her clothes got soaked and I had to clean her up and strip her to a diaper. Put her in my hoodie and while Standing there, shocked, racking my brain on how to deal with this situation, I sent my teenager to get a plastic bag, to put the wet clothes into. Shortly, she returned to inform me that not just ONE store but TWO stores, along with extra employees all denied her. Even after she told them what had happened. I am absolutely APPALLED at the fact that only one person in that whole section of the mall was willing to help me. I will never return to give my business here. If you're trying to shop with your family, don't go here. They are dirty, ridiculously rude and heartless. An eight month old baby...I don't know what else to say, but screw you Torrid and screw you VIP Wear

This place is dying and for good reason… the mall has zero places for kids to play, no food court after hours of shopping kids need a place to eat and play.. Best Buy thinks every brown or black kids is stealing. Zero investment and stop blocking cell phone signals …

Southland is a decent mall. The parking lot is always dirty with trash. Some of the unoccupied spaces on the outside like the 2 old restaurants look awful, penguin poop all over, dirty windows, and the paper covering the windows are falling off. The temperature inside the mall is hit or miss, on some of the hot summer days it seemed like they didn't even turn the air on.. The store selection is nice. They have corporate and mom & pop businesses. Hopefully, one day I can give them a 5 star.

I highly recommend Cinemark theater at Southland Center. The scenery is beautiful, chairs are comfortable, employees do their jobs and move fast, The popcorn tastes good, they serve slashes, snacks, food, etc. However, I am disappointed that they took out the hand dipped ice cream. I used to live watching a movie and eating ice cream.

Plenty of quality stores and nicely placed and plenty of exits as well as restrooms! The whole layout is welcoming! Hardly saw security! Especially how busy it was. The overall experience was very pleasant with no complaints!

Okay I said this Mall's prices have gone so high to make things a hundred times worse there's people all up and down the Mall in those kiosk things and they're trying to sell you everything in the world we had a guy literally called my husband owner and start to find his shoes try to sell him an $80 shoe product and then started knocking prices down when he signed about like the idea of spending $80 on shoe cleaner plus tax and he wanted a tip for cleaning my husband's shoes and my husband said no that he was not interested I had people calling for me trying to sell me skin care products I tried to walk to the store and get food and they close all the food places down and I think the only good experience we had at this place was the Spencer's employees they treated us like gold they were sweet joked and made us feel better about rude people we had to deal with before at other places I've been coming to this Mall since I was a child it never seen it looking so abandoned with sloppily hung up drywall trying to cover the old Taco Bell and Subway there was more chops trying to sell you products for smoking weed or shoes said there was food places and not going to lie here common clothing stores this place was outrageous took us almost 45 minutes to find a map of the mall and I'm sorry for a place that only has one floor except for Macy's or JCPenney and it being so hard to navigate because of all the kiosks and people trying to stop you to sell you stupid stuff this is the longer wall this is kind of like a street Market with a roof never coming back here we've never been treated worse at a building and had to deal with such dirty bathrooms stuff floating in the fountain and drink cups from Cinnabon or I think it it was a pretzel place and then frozen yogurt shop all over the place they took out the old ice cream shop and put a carnival eats in the building and prices for all the food even so little food is through the roof never coming back also avoid the bathroom those were disgusting there was a bloody pad on the floor of the women's restroom when I told an employee they said they'll send another cleaner into the bathrooms and clean it we got there at 3:45 and left at 7:00 and it was still there disgusting sad to say somebody else picked it up instead of one of the cleaners because it was setting right in front of the toilet so they picked it up threw it away because employees were not doing anything this place makes me sick

We got the meat bundle and breakfast bundle, so much great meat at a great price. Sadly, they were out of hash browns for our breakfast bundle but with all the bundle includes we won't miss them and they discounted our bundle because they didn't have the hash browns. We go every month to stock up and keep the freezer full.

Love this mall, they always have what I need! Close too, so it makes it simple to shop at bigger stores or chains!

This mall has gone way downhill since I was younger. It used to be a place you could do all of your shopping in one shot but now the stores are all messy and in disarray. I only come here if I really need something and don't want to drive 45 mins to an hour to get it. I would much rather shop on Amazon or at a stores specific website before I shop at this mall again. I definitely won't let my daughter come shopping here unless she is with a group if friends because of all the reported abduction attempts.

I usually go here to look for clothes and shoes that i want or like that they never have in my size at any of the stores. Me and the kiddo get a smoothie and a pretzel. Then we leave.

Really nice mall! Quite a lot of stores to choose from and my new fiancé took me to Kay jewelers and proposed to me with a Leo Diamond!! Best visit ever❤️

It's always very clean here. Not a whole lot of traffic. All the stores I've gone in I've received excellent service. My favorite place is Deluxe Nail Salon. Tommy is my go to ❤️❤️

Nice mall, clean, almost no empty stores. No food court here, but there are a few places to get snacks. One of the better mid level malls in the Detroit area. The shoe department at JCPENNEY here is the best.

It was nice that the sound wasn't blaring like it is at another show nearby. I didn't care for the movie, but that isn't your fault. The one thing I don't like is how far you have to park to get inside. It's quite a walk for disabled people.

Forever21 is probably thee cutest store for young trendy ladies. Staff is so helpful ☺️

We went to the movies at Cinemark theater. We saw The Sound of Freedom. The movie was great! The theater has very fresh popcorn! Delicious!

I absolutely love them how Mall looks. I haven’t been here in 20 years. I was so impressed with how clean and how Mall looks very impressed. There’s lots stores I enjoyed! Love the new movie theater. Love this Mall!... As it is always so clean and welcoming! The atmosphere is enjoyable, and there usually isn't too many people during the week. Well, that depends on the holiday/season to be honest! However, even during those times the stores always have what you need and want, for the whole family. The mall parking lot is huge so parking is never an issue. Although, you may have to park far away sometimes, there is still a plus side to that: get those extra steps in and your car is safe knowing that no one is parked on top of you because they are to lazy to park that far 😜!

This mall started the beginning of it's death the day they took out the food court. Food court=teens Teens=spending money Spending money=better more profiting establishment The Hudson's hallway is where businesses of Southland go to die. Don't know what Hudson's is? That's because it's dead. Also where did all the fountains go? Shame on you Southland

Awesome place to shop for your women!! I had so much fun and they have very good stores in it. So guy's you want to get your women something nice? Head to southland mall.

It was a nice atmosphere for my girls and I. The pretzel place was yum, but go for the big pretzel not the bites. The big one is buttery and soft. The shops were not to overpriced and the Holiday setup was almost ready for use. It was sweet, though I wish I could have shown my kids the old school food court where block buster is now, the pet shop, and Olga's but this is not 1995.

This poor mall is doing what it can to survive in a time malls are going extinct. The mall is clean and kept up. They are definitely trying to keep it modern and relevancent.

It's a good shopping center but they need to do something about that nails place in the back by Macy's that place is a rip off and the people that work there they compete to see who can get done with a full set of nails first so they screw up on your nails and charge a fortune!!!!! Not HAPPY at all!!!!

The mall is clean and well maintained. Macy's, Best Buy and Penney's are the large retailers. The other stores offer a wide selection of merchandise.

Went on a Sunday. Wasn't too busy. There are quite a few stores to choose from. Clean overall appearance. Don't get your phone wrapped!

My review is due to no a/c only Waste of time and trip Haven't been in awhile and thought we'd go. Once you pass ulta into the rest of the mall there's was no air-conditioning. Wanted to get nails done but it was extremely hot in the salon. Hopefully they fix this issue soon.

Went there to find a outfit for someone for a funeral and just couldn't come up with nothing he was looking for but they did have alot of sales on clothing and other things though but not what they wanted we had a very nice sales person trying to satisfy them but to no avail.

As one of the few malls remaining in our area this one still provides a good service and selection of stores. Newly refresh common areas and a semi-attached movie theater makes this a good choice in rainy day shopping.

Have shopped here since I was a teenager. They are practicing social distancing and Covid protocol. It was so nice to go back to the mall. #Forever21
