I was so excited to try this place but was sorely disappointed. I stopped in here on New Years Eve with a friend and we ordered a few plates to share. The brussel sprouts were very basic but not in the "oh wow, so simple yet so good" kind of way. They were undercooked and just had a splash of balsamic vinegar, very underwhelming for $12. The butternut squash was fantastic and had excellent flavor. The mushrooms were tasty but wayyy too salty. We also both ordered a $12 drink that had coffee, Kahlua, and I can't remember what else. The cup was sticky and served on a plate with a napkin that was completely soaked. Why? I don't know. The customer service was also a bit lacking. The bartender was kind of rude and we had to wait a long time for him to pick up our bill because he was chatting it up with other customers. It felt like we were inconveniencing him by being there. I found GreenSpace to be overpriced for the quality, quantity, and service. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends and will not be returning next time I'm in town.

GreenSpace Cafe is a vegans dream ;) I received amazing service from Niesh aka (Agnieszka). She was very pleasant and you can tell that she cares. All of the staff was very attentive. The pictures show the jackfruit enchiladas, wild mushroom toast, one of their signature bowls, bump chocolate cake, and cinnamon ice cream. I also had the red lentil soup which is not pictured. The toast and the soup were my favorites. Everything was excellent. The atmosphere was very warm and comfortable with a rustic feel. Definitely recommended.

My previous review of 5 stars was based on carryout. I visited and dined in last night with a first date companion. We ordered the vegan tuna salad and wine. The portions were huge and wine was good. The service was nonexistent. We spent 2 hours at restaurant and waiter only came once and that was toward end of 2nd hour. We wanted more wine and tried getting other waiters to help but we were ignored. The staff was huddled at the bar and some drank alcohol. We couldn't help but think we were treated this way because we are interracial. Hopefully that's not the case and it was just poor service. Will never return to this seemingly nice place due to the reasons stated above.

This place is amazing. I drive about a half hour just to dine here; the food is that wonderful. I went there last night and they had just changed their menu and format the night before. You used to order individual meals, all of which were fantastic, but their format has changed to a much smaller menu consisting of small plates/shareables for a more family-style type of experience. I personally dig smaller plates so I can have a variety of food for the same price as one bigger dish. They kept the flavor profiles basically the same, which I love, but also added some great new items. The rice cakes are phenomenal... just wow. We also got the cold carrot (salad?), the cheese board, and the sweet potatoes. Everything we had was fantastic. They have a great selection of cocktails, most of them consisting of truly unique combinations/flavor profiles. You're bound to find a cocktail that you absolutely love here. Pricing is definitely fair for the quality. The ambiance is fun and really low-key. The staff is all super friendly and really chill, so it's a nice relaxing experience. They're also really helpful when trying to decide on what dishes to order. With this new format, I would suggest 3-4 plates for two people. We had a two cocktails each and ordered four plates and it was perfect for us, we even had a little left to take a some home. Even if you're not into vegan food, there are plenty of plant-based options. The food here is truly great.

Fabulous place, great healthy food selection, tasty and a beautiful environment. The architecture and style of this place is organic and chic! I will absolutely recommend, especially the blackened tempeh avocado sandwich. If you are not vegan, and never have tried vegan food, you will not believe how amazing this is. Kyle is an extraordinary person, and you can tell that he loves his job and runs the restaurant with class, and professionalism. All the team gave us the best service. We are very happy and will be recommending it to all of our friends and family!

If you are in a “soup and salad state of mind”, ask for their Red Lentil soup. Pairs really well with their Michigan salad. First time here. Was looking for an alternative and got extremely satisfied. My guest had their Avocado Benedict. Equally satisfied. She had a glass of Chardonnay with it. Service and ambient as reported elsewhere also terrific. If you drive here, parking is bound to be hard(er) to accept (this is nevertheless beyond their control) as City Of Ferndale is hiking their meters from $0.50 (2005) to $1.00 an hour starting April first (and no, this is not a joke). $$$

I went with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We ordered the green Superfood salad and the brussel sprouts fattoush. I was quite dissapointed to see that the fattoush had only raw brussel sprouts, so it definitely wasn't a favorite. But, if I had asked the server about that earlier, I would have ordered something else. My friend got the Superfood salad, which looked absolutely great. She said that it was okay in flavor. We both tried the kimchi shot. That definitely woke us up. I also had the activated charcoal lemonade which was pretty great. Overall, we both thought it was okay. Maybe a bit pricey for the food.

My sister-in-law and I were absolutely blown away by the GreenSpace Cafe yesterday. Everything from the food to the service was perfect. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous and it has a very comfortable atmosphere. The Farmers Board cheese plate was amazing and the Avocado Benedict was divine. We will definitely be back again and again.
