I just saw the video about the guy being detained by the police because a woman called and said he looked suspicious for looking at her. I just want to thank the owner of this establishment for standing up for what's right. You deserve 5 stars for everything about you.

Unique, high-quality, vegetarian dishes. They always have daily specials that allow for exciting new experiences. I have eaten here many times and even my meat-loving friends enjoyed it! There is usually a line, but it is well worth the wait!

Great food! I recently switched to a plant- based diet and this place made it really easy to stick to it. The service was friendly and well timed. All around great experience. I will definitely be returning... a lot

Although I have never eaten here nor heard of this restaurant, I do recommend it because of the owner being a wonderful citizen in being a witness to unnecessary harrassment by the local police which was recorded and posted by a concerned citizen. Bravo to both of you Ladies and God bless!!

This is my favorite restaurant in Royal Oak, hands-down. Excellent for both vegans and non-vegans; the service is wonderful and the bread to start is delicious. I recommend the chai latte served hot and the Inn Season Salad with tempeh, avocado, and vegan Caesar dressing. Best tempeh I’ve ever had and my favorite salad of all-time.

My wife and I are not vegetarian by any means. Sometimes I am shocked that my favorite restaurant of all times is a vegetarian place. But you can not argue with great food. I always feel well cared for by the staff here and the food is top notch. Always my first pick when thinking of where to eat and we travel 30+ minutes.

I hope what happened on Facebook is not the reason you are closed? Stand in solidarity if so! Guy came to eat white women says he looked at her she called the police! The owner of the establishment defending the guy while becky who called police on him hid in her car! Emmit Till situation.πŸ’―

The owner is an amazing lady who stands up for the rights of others and doesn't passively stand by when she sees someone being harrasssed.

The owners heroic actions deserve my money! Whenever I'm in town I will be sure to visit this place. Continue to be a helping hand in a time of injustices.

Whoa, first timer here at Inn Season and it blew my mind on food, period. The staff are amazing and super knowledgeable. We got the Szechuan Stir-Fry and it was plenty. The flavors and veggies were fresh, not bland, and changed my perspective about eating healthy. Definitely coming back for more!!

One of my most favorite places to dine in Metro Detroit.

  • 3/5 Sharon B. 6 years ago on Google
This place always seems to be busy, and for good reason. Delicious vegan and vegetarian plant based menu that changes seasonally. Portions are ok but could be bigger. I love the food here. The biggest problem is getting seated. They have a very small dining area and I've often given up or ordered takeout waiting to be seated. If you are seated the wait for food can be just as long. The staff is nice and tries to combat this but it's disappointing when you're hungry. Esp when they are often out of menu items.

Gluten Free Review: I used to come here a lot more for lunch when I worked in Ferndale & miss this restaurant. It’s not easy to find places around metro detroit that use fresh, local ingredients & make health conscious meals. They have so many gluten free & vegan options. My favorite is the black bean quesadilla. I always get it on the gluten free wrap & with the dairy free cheese. It is SO good. Definitely a must try if you are gluten free or vegan. Note: I am not celiac and do not have issues with cross contamination. If you are celiac, please speak with your server prior to ordering.

It's over for 'KAREN'S'! Why didn't the 'Royal Oak', MI. Police, question her (Karen)! This Restaurant, nor any other Business should be ruined because of 'Prejudice People. United We All, will 'STAND'!

Food was mediocre at best. The srver was super slow. We waited at least 10 minutes after being seated just to get waters and a menu. We then waited another 10-15 minutes after that to take orders. The waiter suggested for us to ordwe something that ended up being super gross. When we politely told him or dislike (he knew we asked for nothing spicey and this was super super spice), he didnt offer any apology or to remove it from the bill. Not sure if it was just an off time we went but I can't understand how this place has a high rating. I would not come back.

Easily best vegan restaurant with in a large radius, the seating environments provide a nice atmosphere to all people. If there was one thing I could change I would enlarge the lobby size because it can get full quick with all the customers waiting for seats.

Great vegan restaurant in royal oak. I had the vegan option of the black bean quesadilla. I absolutely loved it. I didn't get to try any of the desserts as the main dish was very filling. The options looked great though. The food is a little pricey (about $15 for the quesadilla) but with good portions. The decor and atmosphere could however do with a little updating.
