The hubs found this gem as we are new to the Plant-based/Vegan lifestyle. We tried the fish tacos, pop chili cheese fries, & the mamba black bean burger (spinach wrap instead of bun), chocolate cake, and ginger tea. Y.U.M.M.Y! Will definitely return.

Absolutely 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food here is amazing!!! This is the BEST VEGAN restaurant I ever ate at. I have ate at vegan restaurants before and did not like the food and wanted to eat more healthier and stop consuming animals but I had horrible vegan experiences prior to this place… however today, this place has change my total thinking and taste buds on vegan food!! I had the chicken tacos and beyond burger and I am BEYOND impressed! This burger is better than any meat I have ever tasted.. I also had a seamoss shake and a ginger tea…. So fresh! Everything tasted so clean I will be back as a regular! I love this place! The staff was amazing as well and provided phenomenal service!!!

You cant get any better with healthy and delicious! This place has a variety of options, and its vegan! Hope this place comes up as it deserves to. Would definitely go back and recommend to others. They smoothies are also tasty!

That food was slamming! The chef made it fresh and I am shocked it was soooo good. I had the vegan nachos , Mac and cheese and the spring rolls. The nachos were large and the Mac very tasty for vegan cheese. They gave me a ginger tea and that had the perfect amount of kick. It was all tasty so I will be back for sure! Oh yeah it smelled so good I couldn’t wait until I got home.

This place has a new owner and the menu is different. I gave it 2 times under the new owner and the food was very disappointing. It just a fast food spot. You can make this at home. I will never go back. It’s over priced bad tasting junk food. I only gave it a one star for the bbq sauce. Please don’t waste your money or time

Wait a whole hour for my food then they forgot fries with my daughter's order had to wait again. Short staff not worth the wait

I'm VERY NEW to this Vegan lifestyle. So I'm choosing familiar food to see how this things goes. But.... im sure my experience would've been more delightful if I wasn't served the end piece of the bread😩😩 this made my whole experience horrible

This is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants we have been to. We travel a lot and this one is going down as a permanent go-to in Detroit. Felicia makes the most amazing vegan soul food we have ever had. I wish I could give her 10 stars. THANK YOU!!!!

Went in on a Sunday and there was a limited menu, so we tried one of everything available: the Sunday soul food combo, the chicken burger and the American burger. They were all amazing. The BBQ sauce in the soul food combo was absolutely perfect, spicy and sweet, and oh so sticky. The sweet potatoes were perfect - thinking about them is making my mouth water. The Mac and Cheese was fantastic. The American burger was EXACTLY what you want when you're looking for a vegan burger that doesn't taste like it's made from plants. Smokey, satisfying and not your run of the mill veggie burger. The chicken burger was awesome, and we went with the Buffalo sauce and it was no mistake! We will be back (shown are the falls order of everything mentioned)

This place was on my list for awhile, and I finally got time to visit-- I'm so sad it took me so long! Everything I ordered was amazing. Pop chili cheese fries had plenty of toppings, the sweet chili tenders were crispy. The ginger lemon iced tea was probably my favorite.. going to size up next time.

Delicious vegan food!!! Vegginnis was so good! My husband and I got the veggie panini and the mamba bean burger. The fries were even better than the meal. I tried the Sea miss shake for the first time and it was tasty and very good for your body. We will definitely be back to try more items on the list. Staff were more than friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this vegan restaurant.

How is this place getting good reviews? High expectations after reading the menu and reviews BUT my food was cold and my partner’s meal came out 15 minutes after mine. Never going back.

I wasn’t sure how it would be based on the outside, and I am glad I went in. It’s fast-casual, you order at the counter and they’ll bring out the food to you. The service was quick and good. The kitchen’s tea recipe is phenomenal, as were the served-hot Johnny cakes. The Kung Pao “chicken” was great, crispy and filling, served with the great tea. Vegan beef is harder to imitate, the mac’n’cheese and spiced yams were the highlight of that dish, which also cane with tea, a spring mix salad and fresh Johnny Cakes.

Great food , and definitely will be back. Also it feels good to see how the owners sons doing a great job cooking and servicing the guest. Keep up the great work.

This place was magical and magnificent I was greeted as if I was special. I felt the warmth and giving of its vibrations .The VEGGININIS PARADISE CAFE is a must to attend and be served. The food is a must. I love everything about this place please come you will not be disappointed. It's what your body asks for.

This is my favorite place to order from and I love that the food is vegan. Not sure what happened today, but my order was cancelled on Door Dash and no one is picking up at Pop Culture Vegan. Not cool. The order was assigned to a driver and he was already sitting outside waiting on the food when it was cancelled. What happened?

Staff was helpful and polite. Food was very good. Lots of flavor and generous portions. I would say my only complain is everything had a little bite to it (spicy). I'm not big on spicy but it was still delicious to the point that I ate it anyway. Definitely get the ginger lemonade! I wish I had gotten more than the 16oz. Great little spot tucked away on Mack.

I see this place on Grubhub all the time, but had never heard of them so I thought it was a ghost kitchen or something. This week gave them a try. I had the cheese burger, black bean bowl and sea moss smoothy. The cheese burger was legitimately one of the best I’ve ever had (including those with meat). I was blown away. Happy to find out they have a physical location so I can pick up next time.

The beyond burger was good. We tried the sea moss drink, it was not good. There was no seamoss. Only predominant taste of cinnamon and milk. They had a soul food plate and it was not good. What was supposed to be pop wing chicken was some hot dog looking thing buried in Barbour sauce and batter. Nothing special about the baked beans. The string beans were okay. This was not a good experience.

The food was GREAT! I was scared but it worked out lol! The chicken sandwich was Bomb! My son loved his Beyond Burger, very surprising because he’s picky and we both enjoyed the chili cheese fries.

This place is everything! From the food to the people. I absolutely love it. And absolute must if you’re into good food period. It’s an added bonus that it’s also vegan. They said they will have smoothies coming soon so I’m excited about that. And the soul food Sunday’s SLAP 🤤. 5/5 highly recommend

Great Vegan friendly place and delicious food!

My partner and our 5 young kids just visited this cafe for the first time yesterday. Everything we ordered (a lot) was delicious! Especially the cauliflower bites, wow! We will be back and I will recommend.

Another lunchroom style/ soul food vegan restaurant but I can tell they used can beans and green beans. Overall the meal was tasty but portions looked crazy uneven! For the price I paid I expected more.

I love this family owned business. They're super nice and have a ton of vegan options. Definitely try the desserts. I went on a Sunday and they didn't have most of the menu available, even though it was almost 2 o clock they told me they were just getting opened up. Will return for sure

I came here last week (Aug 9th) on a whim to have a birthday meal with my friend. Since I am vegan, we searched for a few places in the area and I suggested the place just based off of recent review (plus, he lives not far down the road.) I am glad we came! I ordered the Vegginini Special and my friend got the vegan lasagna (both dinners). We ordered as carryout and shared each other's dishes. The food traveled well and the taste, temperature, and seasoning were excellent! The lemon ginger tea is a winner as well! My one complaint is possibly the lasagna. For the price of the dinner, the portion was a bit small (the size of a small dessert carryout container - see pic). The special was a great deal with the portion of food. The "tahcos" were very, very good and the pastellias were filling. On balance, the food prices are quite good compared to other vegan establishments in the area. *A funny aside: after ordering our food, a woman wearing a Detroit Vegan Soul shirt came in (her first time) and placed an order. I didn't get to ask if she worked for DVS or not, but she said she heard good things about Vegginini's as well. I have DVS in my Rosedale Park neighborhood, and this place would give it a run for it's money! Great job Vegginini!

Really tasty vegan comfort food!

The food was wonderful & the service was good after a less than enthusiastic helper (child of owner) stepped to the side. Although I was a bit disappointed in their dessert options after seeing the multiple choices on the menu, several return visits are in order to try all the their deliciousness. Oh and let’s not forget the lemon ginger ice tea - a little sweet for my taste but enjoyable.

The food was okay overall. I think it is a bit overpriced. The tenders are yummy, and so is the ginger tea. It didnt knock my socks off though. I would suggest stating what the ingredients are used in the food. I agree with the other rater that the menu can be cooked at home to save money. The only thing I didn't like is the size of the ginger tea that comes with the meal. It was like a toddlet size considering the price you pay.

Hands down, best vegan food I’ve ever had between all places I’ve lived: TO, PDX, Chi town, MIA, and DFW. Incredible quality and flavors. You can tell they care about their food and clientele. Thank you for a wonderful meal during a wonderful vacation.

I wanted to love this place. I ordered a taco salad and a veggie sandwich. I called ahead to check what came on the salad. The taco salad did not have any salad. More than half of the “salad” was pita bread and had items like ago missing. Instead they tossed in random stuff that the owner did not mention on the phone. Also, make sure to check which menu you order from. We expected our lunch to be around 20 bucks and ended up being 35! The prices on the two menus they have online attached to google and their website are different and have a drastic price difference. Look at the pop vegan menu to know what they will actually charge you. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.
