A very welcoming atmosphere with lots of available parking and a nice curbapeal. This place is very welcoming from the moment you walk in. As we walked in, the hostess immediately showed us our table and poured us water. Then asked what else we would like to drink. She immediately brought our drinks exactly as ordered. A few moments later, we ordered appetizers, hummus and tabuli. She brought the food to the table very quickly accompanied by freshly baked bread. Everything tasted amazing. We ordered the Shish tawook with lenon oregano and the shish kabob medium. Everything came out fresh and cooked exactly as expected. Amira, our waitress was very friendly. I felt I was at home visiting here. It was a very good experiance. I highly recommend this place and I look forward to trying other dishes. Stay tuned for more pictures.

Wish I could give more than five stars. We walked in hoping to eat-in, but the gentlemen (while working hard to fill lots of carry out orders) kindly informed us it was takeout only. We still decided to try it out for date night, based solely on how AMAZING it smelled in there while they were cooking! We ordered the sampler platter (says serves 2-4). Fast forward only 20 minutes later, and my boyfriend comes out with a surprising amount of food. Like, in my opinion this meal easily could feed 6, totally worth the price! Not only was all the food delicious AND we got a great value, they also included a free little dessert for us to try since we said it was our first time. It had a personal note written on the box. "Welcome to the family. - Ayman" I cannot recommend this place enough, we will be back soon!

I ordered carryout. The food was ready when I arrived and the person who checked out the order was happy and friendly. The food was just what was expected. I'd definitely order here again.

Absolutely stunning! I am a big fan of medditeranean food and I just moved in town. I decided to do pick of order for their big patter menu called “Mixed Maza” just for myself. Staffs were friendly and the restaurant was smaller than I expected but it was cozy and had nice interior. It was an eye catching moment when they handed me the food well-organized in party tray to-go box. As soon as I got back home, I bulged open all the food and took a first bite on falafel dipped on garlic sauce and guess what! It is so good that it almost made my mind blew up. The spicy hummus they offer for this platter is amazing. Just all the food is perfectly spiced and makes me feel like it is legitimate medditeranean food. 10/10 would either dine in or get food at this place again! Thank you for great food La Marsa!

I usually order the chargrilled salmon over rice pilaf with chargrilled vegetables and salad. The servings are so plentiful that I can usually eat for two days. All entrees are served with a half dozen of hot bread & garlic butter. The salads are always fresh, leafy-green, and enough for two. I always order in advance for a carry out. Very good food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and prompt service.

The food here is always excellent. Very flavorful and fresh, and the customer service is always top-notch. This is my go-to Mediterranean restaurant. I'm never disappointed.

Delicious shawarma with hummus added! Service was quick and friendly, felt well taken care of. Lunchtime combo is a good deal and fills you up.

I'm sorry the quantity of food was fantastic all the plates were heaping with the food we had ordered, but there was absolutely no flavor to anything that we tried. The hummus tasted like pure chickpeas. The Falafel was Pasty and no flavor inside although it had a nice crunch on the outside. I don't know the name of the food I ordered it was lentils and rice and elbow macaroni. With a tomato type sauce on the top and fried onions. There was absolutely no flavor whatsoever to that food the only thing I can say about it is it was warm. Even the tomato sauce had no flavor the children could not eat their food all they ended up eating was the French fries they didn't like anything that they were served either. And my son ordered a sandwich he said it was just so so. You get quite a bit of food for what you order but it's not satisfying. I will give them thumbs up in fact two thumbs up for the orange lemonade it was fantastic. I will never go back again

So I’m pretty much done with this place. The past few times I’ve ordered food some of the meat wasn’t cooked all the way and I let it slide, but not anymore. This stuff to expensive have to throw some out cause it’s raw. Salad was good, bread and rice good but let’s be honest if the meat isn’t good it just doesn’t matter. Plus this was part of my leftovers the next day after it had been reheated, so just imagine how raw it was on the day I got it smh!!!! So an update the owner wants to respond and say they have no record of my order oh ok......... ive attached a photo of my record of me calling smh

We ordered catering for a work lunch and it was hands-down the best Middle Eastern food I've had in an area packed with great options. I was lucky to take some home but it didn't last beyond that evening. Everything was just right...chicken, veggies, rice...what more do you need from life?

Just had La Marsa! I, ordered it and the young lady took it out to my car, went beyond her job requirements. The food was so amazing and it was hot. I love going to this particular La Marsa because everyone is so nice and the service is wonderful. When I can't figure out a good healthy meal for my family during the week, this is where I go.

Update - Had to change my review from 5 to 3 stars. I understand inflation has struck every business but 25% increase in price is not acceptable. Food still tastes good but can’t spend 25-30% price increase. Original review - Chicken Shwarma tasted great. Hoping to experience same everytime as we moved here and this place is closest.

It was just ok......edible, but not enjoyable. I got the whole deboned chicken dinner (dark meat)...it wasn't juicy inside, but not completely dry either. Was expecting more flavor and juiceness that you get from grilling chicken thighs.... and I certainly get that flavor when I grill it at home. But overall ok.... A lot of food from the money and the people there seem awfully nice

Excellent food, very fast service. Slightly more than I want to spend, but with inflation it's tough to know what a good price is anymore. The staff is always friendly and wait time is not long ( in fact, if they tell you it's 30 minutes for a carryout, you should show up early because your food will be ready).

My mom and I came for lunch. Everything was delicious. We got the hommos with beef ghallaba. Our server Zainab was wonderful. She was very pleasant and attentive. If you come to dine in, ask for Zainab. We’ll be back.

Server was friendly and described unfamiliar dishes well enough so that I felt comfortable ordering them. Had the koshary and really enjoyed it. Portions are generous. All in all a great experience.

The Farmington Hills LaMarsa is a small restaurant with a quaint, cozy atmosphere, I find very comfortable! The server greeted us with a warm, friendly smile & was very attentive! The food is very fresh & delicious here! I highly recomend visiting this place!

I met a friend for lunch at LaMarsa last Friday, and I must say, the chicken shawarma was the best one I've had. It was packed with chicken and a lot of flavor. To add to that, the service was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Although I don't live near the restaurant, it is now my go-to restaurant for chicken shawarma. Can't wait to try some of the other foods on the menu.

Time to say goodbye. We have been going to the Farmington Hills location since 2006, (when they first opened). It has been a family favorite since then. However…….over the past year, our family has seen and tasted a distinct transition, from authentic to mass produced and unauthentic. To be specific, 1st the bread changed, then the rice and the final straw, the hummus. I know with Covid, the supply chain became challenging, coupled with increased costs for food, but when a company departs from what made them special (the flavors), it leaves us feeling undervalued and disappointed. We are deeply sorry that La Marsa has integrated these new sub-par products, as they pale in comparison to what we had previously grown to love. Wishing the La Marsa family well, but it will be without our support unfortunately.

I was craving La marsa so bad today! I was disappointed today for the first time ever! Ordered what I usually order. Chicken Sautee. There was barely any chicken in it. It was cut so small, was the size of peas instead of the chunks of chicken I usually get. They forgot my lentil soup as well. For $23 plus dollars for a dinner I was disappointed

First time to this location and no disappointment! Great food just as I've experienced at their Brighton location and as always plenty of portions for left overs!

What a place.... Omg. Authentic middle eastern food ( from from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria to Arab and Turkish food) the garlic butter thingy (I forgot most names) taste great with their complimentary breads. They bake their breads fresh and with the Mediterranean swag. The lamb soup was the best I've been ever served, spicy soup with tender chunks of lamb meat. Their salads should are great. They use mint leaves and some kinda special spiced oil that makes it special than other salads. A must try.

It was my first time ordering and it would be my last time ordering. I decided to order a whole order of debone chicken white meat with a fatoosh salad. The chicken breast was little and to thick. The sauce was to watery and not enough sauce was included. The fatoosh salad I was scared to eat it. The greenery looks like it had not been washed and the cucumbers were cut to thick and it looked like it was not washed off also the rice didnt not taste fresh as well. I am very disappointed with the quality and presentation of the food. Normally I go to Kabob Bistro in Redford on 6Mile and Beechdaily but they were closed and I took my chances with La Marsa and was let down. I normally dont complain but I had to let yall know we wasted 28 bucks smh!!! What a way to have dinner with your man on New Year's Eve!!!

Very low key restaurant, caught them at good pace time, just prior to lunch. (1150) They were quick to serve and answered questions just as quick. Dairy/egg free options were plenty. Great bread/"butter", and shish tawook.

We have ordered (delivery) from a few local Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants. This one is very consistent in the quality and speed of service. The food is delicious, a lot of flavor, and fresh. The pita bread is fantastic, and the veggies are fresh. I highly recommend.

  • 5/5 J H. 3 years ago on Google
My favorite place for middle eastern food. I was pescatarian when I first started eating at LaMarsa years ago. My usuals were among the Greek salad with grilled salmon, rice, mjadra, and the crushed lentil soup. The meals were always consistently good with the pita warm and the garlic delicious. I’m plant-based vegan since January 2020, so I pretty much order the same as before only no salmon and no feta on the salad. I’m still pleased every time I order at LaMarsa. Another plus is that the staff is always pleasant and professional.

Have to say I was not impressed with this restaurant. The Fattoush, Hummus and Fries were great, but the Shish-Tawook and Falafel sandwiches were disappointing. The chicken in the Tawook sandwich felt artificial and rubbery. The falafel also felt artificial, almost like a pre-made mix and did not have a fresh taste to it. Would come back for appetizers, but not the sandwiches.

We called La Marsa at 6:22 to order dinner for the family before leaving work and pick up on the way home and the person was really rude on the phone and said “we are too busy call back in 10 minutes.” Usually the food speaks for the place and brings me back for more but customer service to me good or bad can make a bigger impression then the food. The food could be the best I ever had but if the service is bad I would not go back!
