Wonderful cookie shop with a great variety (we are talking so many flavors, over 2 dozen with just their regular cookies, not including xl) We ordered one of each to try of their regular cookies plus a few extra things. So far so good. There was an odd Cookie with BBQ sauce but it wasn't bad, not something id normally order but it's fun to have a different option instead of your norm. My favorite was the banana pudding so far. I can see why it's a top seller. The people at the counter were very friendly and very helpful. There was nowhere to sit inside. It was more a grab and go place. Parking is available in a small private lot.

If anyone doesn't rate this a Five Star, they don't have any taste buds! LOL. Such a nice variety of cookies and wonderful and friendly staff. We'll be back.

My daughter and I were so excited to try this place seeing all the wonderful reviews, however definitely overrated! Cookies are very artificial tasting and quite doughy, and not in a good way. I feel like they use the same base dough recipe and just put in different add ins.....the flavor combinations definitely stand out but unfortunately not in taste. Bummer

I have a soft spot for cookies; cookies are my top choice of sweets among all desserts. The Detroit Cookie Co. was the perfect place to bridge the gap between my hunger and delicious cookies (and a cinnamon roll)! Okay, time to talk cookies! My self control was really put to the test here because all of the cookies were gravitating. The two I indulged in were the Raspberry Oreo Cheesecake cookie and the Peanut Butter Volcano. The Raspberry Oreo Cheesecake cookie (I should say cookies because I ordered two of these) were so soft and rich in its raspberry and cheesecake flavoring. The Peanut Butter Volcano was my favorite between the two, but that is because peanut butter cookies are my absolute favorite. I really loved the peanut butter center (volcano) covered in chocolate which erupted my taste buds. The touch of graham cracker crumbs on top was a great compliment to the cookie's flavor. I also ordered their Cinnamon Roll (which are only available on a first come, first serve basis on Saturdays and Sundays according to their website's menu). It was so worth it! It had the perfect balance of cinnamon to icing. Next time I visit, it will be on the weekend just so I can order another Cinnamon Roll! The service was exceptional. Everyone here was friendly, and that always helps to make for a great experience. I definitely recommend Detroit Cookie Co.!

Ava was extremely helpful with helping me navigate around nut allergy cookies- she even grabbed them from the back for me to ensure no cross contamination. If that doesn’t scream customer service I don’t know what does! I am so thankful for Ava’s help and I will be back.. plus the cookies are out of this world! The raspberry Oreo cheesecake is by far my favorite!!!!

I take my sister here all the time because she’s a Cookie Monster. Lol. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you have never been there are so many options to choose from omg. Everything is fresh. I will say the cookies have an enormous amount of sugar but they are really good!

Interesting flavors of creamy ice cream, my kiddos loved it. Inventive cookie names and flavors. Cookies are soft in the middle and crisp on the outside. Surprisingly, solid coffee selection. Overall, a great treat place for kids and adults alike.

Clean. Friendly. Peanut butter volcano is amazing. Love the banana cookie too. This is a 22 to 28 dollar a dozen type place. These are not your grocery store cookies. Must have at least 1 or 2...3.

Great cookies; great service. Cookies are a little on the pricey side but they taste really good. Service was great and everyone was friendly and very helpful. Overall: 9.1/10

The service was exceptional. They donated the box to the school that I work with and I purchased a half dozen on top of that. The various cookies (birthday cake, one that had bbq chips in it, a toffee one, and a marshmallow one) that I tried were really tasty with creative flavors. I’m disappointed in myself that I haven’t tried them sooner

Their cookie’s are sweet, but pretty decent. We also tried their ice cream Superman and birthday anniversary. It was tasty.

I came in here having only had a couple of their cookies before. I was a little flabbergasted when I saw they had over 20 flavors. I looked at them closely and I picked half a dozen. They were super delicious and gone by the end of the day at home

Great friendly staff! It is an overwhelming experience with the variety, but they are happy to walk you through all the flavors/differences. Couldn't muster the strength to try everything in one visit, but went with a dozen different cookies. Still had plenty of regular cookies left not tried, especially the XL ones. Will be back to round out the menu!

This place is truly a hidden gem! They have literally the BEST cookies in Detroit! I’ve been going here for many years and they never disappoint! From cookies, to ice cream, to ice cream sandwiches and so much more! I found out about them on Instagram and I’ve been a follower ever since. The customer service is truly amazing! It’s best to get a dozen to try every flavor that you like. I highly recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth!

Friendly staff which deserve an extra star in the rating and a wide variety of cookies to choice from. Staff helped me find a version close to the “sugar cookie” that my wife requested but she was disappointed that they didn’t have a plain one. I ordered the large chocolate chip which I didn’t eat until a couple of days later so it may have been better tasting to me if I’d eaten it fresh.

Consistency isn’t their forte. I’ve noticed certain special cookies are stale from the moment of purchase. Every time I go there, I pick flavors I haven’t tried. Last week I ordered the Easter Hunt (I think this was the name?) cookie and it was hard and clearly a few days old. This wasn’t a discrete incidence either as I’ve had at least one stale cookie every time I go. I’m pretty convinced they keep whatever cookies they don’t sell in a plastic bag and save them for the next day because the cookies were stale, not overcooked. I’m also surprised by how many positive reviews there are but I think people either aren’t reporting the stale cookie problem or forget about them because of how delicious their fresh ones are. I don’t think I’ll be back for a while. Maybe for the cinnamon roll. That cinnamon roll is bomb.

Barely made it out to the car and we already turned around to go buy more 😂 but seriously these were the best cookies we've ever had. Paulina was really informative and great to order with. 100% coming back next time we're within a 200 mile radius

I would rate this place 3.5 if I could. The place was run well and clean, but honestly the cookies are only grade C at best. A lot of peanut butter flavors. Way way way too many peanut butter flavors and the cookies just don’t taste that good.

The best cookies that you'll ever have. I've had Detroit cookie company a few times in the past few years as people have brought some for a catering event. This was my first time stopping in to pick some up myself. I'm super glad I did Detroit cookie company is now going to be my de facto dessert of choice. Their cookie selection is second to absolutely none in the universe. There are other treats such as their ice creams are also great. They offer ice cream batter toppings and all kinds of other things to go, even take and bake cookies. Their Ferndale location is adorable and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I can't recommend them enough.

I always love stopping in here. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the cookies… yum. The mainstays are all fantastic and the rotating seasonal cookies are always fun and new. Can’t recommend this enough, especially compared to some of those other (chain) cookie places out there.
