Deighton Family practice, staff is rude, no deescalation skills from top management Director Taylor. Friday I was in extreme pain contact doctor office schedule nurse visit. A rude person called said they cancelled appointment Laferty. I argued for a needed shot for 2 hour, with a director that did NOT try resolve any issue. I am going into filing a complaint with executive office. My blood pressure was raised and no one should be spoken to when my pain level was way over 10. I felt like I was going have stroke. Horrible customer service. No professionalism at all.

Just left this doctors office and the reviews about it are very much true. When I walked in I said Good Morning to the young lady at the front desk. She did not say anything back so I did not think she heard me until she asked for my last name. RUDE! I sat in this office for 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time only to be told that the doctor would not see me due to having "meetings" and was asked if I could stay another 2 hours to be seen by somebody else. Then for the woman to lie and say that she called me to reschedule even though I talked to the other rude young woman at the front desk yesterday regarding my insurance. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I will NEVER go into this office again!

If it was possible to give them zero stars I would. Their staff is completely unprofessional. I have been going to this office for years, but today was the final nail in the coffin. I called to schedule an early physical examination and was told to contact my insurance provider for authorization; that's fine. My insurance provider told me that I needed to have them (the office) to send a request on my behalf to get approved for an early physical; that was a warning in my head. I called the Family Practice to inform them of what my insurance provider told me to tell them. The person on the phone immediately developed an attitude and snidely told me that their office does not send out requests to the insurance providers for early physicals. I was more than a little ticked off with their attitude but I did not say anything that was disrespectful. They then gave me an ultimatum that I could either get my insurance provider to go against their policy or I could pay out of pocket for my early physical; and said that those two choices were my only choices. Completely disgusted at how I was being treated and their horrible attitude, I told them I had another choice. That choice is getting a different provider and going to a different office. You guys lost my business and respect.

My last visit was very frustrating. I had two doctors taking my blood pressure at the same time in each arm with my arms hanging down while I was talking to them. She asked was I having chest pains. The answer was no. She asked if I had shortness of breath, and I was talking to them the whole time. So that question was unnecessary. When she left room and returned with another doctor. I asked her could my pressure be up because I had to use the restroom. She said possibly. She called in a 10 MG Amlodifine prescription, and told me she wanted to see me in one week. I appreciate the concern, but the procedure was very in unusual, and frustrating. I kept telling her that I have white coat blood pressure. That did not seem to matter. I have white coat blood pressure because just because I am old, I don't have to be sick. I hurt my knees working in the yard, and she assumed it was arthritist because of my age. My grandmother lived to be 100 and never had arthritis.

My interaction with the Ascension Providence doctor was very positive. Dr. Okafor, displayed extreme professionalism throughout the appointment. She was very curtious, very patient, and answered all of my questions.

I have been a patient here since I was 19 and I am 39. I love Dr. Taylor and most of the other doctors that I have encountered, but the staff that answers the phone and checks you in has ALWAYS been rude when I have interacted with them for any reason, it feels like you're inconveniencing them. It defiantly seems like that is what they hire consistently. If it wasn't for me loving my doctor so much, I would never come back. I was happy when she went somewhere else temporarily because the staff had a better attitude.

Dr. Zakaria is the most thorough, efficient, patient senstive, and caring Doctor I know! He is appreciated and loved by myself and my Mom who is also his patient! I am thankful to him for providing me with care to make sure I am working towards my peak health!

My experience with the staff and my doctor the short time I have been there have been very well on how they greet you how polite they are and how interested in these times making sure that you are taken care of. My doctor provides excellent understanding to care of patient. Thank you for the well service provided.

This office is only good if I'm seeing my main doctor. I have been a patient here for over 10 years.This will be the second time I've tried to get a problem solved and one of the same day doctors were no help. If you need a same-day doctor to solved your problem just go somewhere else. They allowed me to make the appointment wait all day then I came to my appointment to tell me they couldn't see me. I ask to speak to management she tells me I should go to urgent care. Due to my ear ache, sore throat and headache. I told her I was swimming and water got into my ear and it was very painful. I took an at home Covid test earlier in the morning and it was negative.Then Dr. Abd Al Rahman El-Mallah tells me to do a virtual visit and never shows up.

This medical practice is beneath the board. I thought by it having all African-American medical personnel the service would be outstanding but obviously I was proven wrong India Mitchell is the worst physician there. Jamila Taylor is the medical director and she’s a joke she was informed that Mrs. Mitchell left the door open when she was seen a patient and did nothing about it. Nobody should ever go here

I have been a patient at Providence since birth 07/1979. They make you feel like family. Clean environment and good service.

Dr zakari is one of the best physicians I've been with him over 25 years. In the years I have been there there has been a great turnover in the past 9 or 10 years I find that when you call in the person on the other line is rude, I guess they say you're not there so you don't know who it is but they need to get phone etiquette and patience.

Went to get a flu shot. The nurse that was appointed to me was outstanding. I don’t like needle a she gave me a whole different mood. Didn’t even know it was over. I appreciate her an I personally just want to say thank you for the comfort she gave me. It helped a lot. Thanks again

My family and I have been going to Deighton Family Practice for well over 30 years. We have always had a good experience. I gave 4 stars because our Physician let the practice a few years ago and our NP retired. Both were excellent in bedside manners and care. But I continue to see other medical staff that have been there for a long time so I'm happy with that. New Physician, which I like and I feel the care is still there. And wait time is never a bother because I hope that the same care I have gotten when others wait, is the same care they will be given.

I have been a patient here for over 25 years also generations of my family has also been patient here we all love the service/ care that we get . it’s only been maybe two times I have switched doctors and that was because some of them are resident doctors but not saying that they’re not good doctors I had one resident doctor that was so awesome maybe to that I really truly like that I hate it when they graduate and move on and go to another clinic and I will say it was more than two. Actually, it’s been several resident doctors that I was mad that they live but they do have some awesome resident doctors as well.

My doctor is good and takes the time to listen to any of my concerns and/or questions. He tracks all my test results, refills any prescriptions and ordered new ones as appropriate

I had a lengthy wait after I was told that I was the first patient for the nurse practioner. Other than that it was a good visit.

I always have a positive experience when I take my Mom to this facility and my last visit was no exception. Dr. Kamran Zakaria is such a kind, patient physician. He never rushes our visits. He will entertain any and all questions, no matter how mundane they may seem. Additionally, when sharing the results of my Mom’s blood work, he doesn’t have an associate call, Dr. Zakaria calls himself. Though I am over an hour away from his office, I wouldn’t dream of seeking out another primary physician for my Mom. I’ll drive over ‘hills and dales’ to take my Mom to Dr. Zakaria!

The technician who took my blood was the best of all times. Painless, first try, no marks on my skin. Perfect! The nurse to get me set up was also great.

This visit was for my B12 injection. The nurse name "Shadorie" I believe did a wonderful job with the injection. Everytime I go, it seems to be too good to be true that a doctors office can have service this good and professional.

This office is Horribly incompetent from top to bottom. Every doctor and staff member here goes to great lengths to do the least they can possibly do to treat patients. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

I am a fairly new patient to Deighton Family Practice (one year) and I've had a good experience. Dr. Jessica Hudson is very nice, attentive and has been available and responsive whether sending a question through the portal or making appointments. The office is clean, no issues with staff and getting an appointment hasn't been difficult. I'm pleased so far with this office and my PCP.

Poor communication. Work note was not accessible, couldn't get a response through portal. I asked a question, and they put my request in a note, said it was not recommended, then sent it to my job without my permission!! Brianna was rude both days I talked to her during our call, and hung up without any closure. I asked for the updated letter to be rescinded, as it was not requested to be sent, and the initial letter be resent. Still waiting to hear from someone. This is not my 1st bad experience but it's the worst!

I have been going to Southfield Providence, Deighton Family Practice for over 30 years. I am very pleased with the services that the staff has provided for me and my family, from the front desk to the back. Dr. Smith is The Best… “There’s No Place Like Home”

This is CRAZY. My pharmacy notifies me that the doctor will not refill a routine medication unless I see the doctor. This is six months from the last appointment. During the appointment I was asked routine questions, no changes. Now I have to go back for the annual. I get the bill for $246 (-$76 insurance). I've tried contacting the doctor. No response. Billing doesn't respond. When I finally reach them to request a detailed summary of billing. It's all codes. The insurance tells me the provider has to decipher. The provider's office says it's billing. I even read the other reviews and reached out to the manager who left her name and number on this site. No response. Can someone at this office or hospital please help me to justify these charges???

Dr. Gavin Taylor has done an excellent job as my doctor. He actually took the time to recommend me to a dietary consultant which is has helped me get my diabetes under control. In my opinion he is an excellent example of what open minded doctors should be like in the future !

My experience at the Deighton family Southfield campus was very good. I have been going to this location for over 15 years and I must say I have minimal problems. Today was no different, I had no wait time for check-in, blood pressure check and to see doctor. I was also able to get my blood work done within the same visit. Everyone was nice and courteous and the one lady checking out patients was very calm as she did her job as she was working alone. I left with my book unread😊

If there was 0 STARZ I’d do that. Martha Rumschlag is the worst! After 5 years of being seen by her, she never actually attempted to treat any of my illnesses. I’ve been living in pain for years and only got Motrin. I’ve been living with anxiety for years and she didn’t seem to care. She’d ask me every visit what pharmacy and would ask about one that I hadn’t used in years. She refused to acknowledge my physical conditions and said I had great range of motion and was doing great, despite that fact that I live in pain every single day! She refused to provide an MRI script because I wasn’t sure I’d undergo surgery. She also refused to fill out the handicap application because she said I needed physical therapy and other than that I was fine. I’ve been diagnosed with multiple herniated disk, tendinitis, s-spine and degenerative disk disease. I hope she retires soon because she is not for the people.

Great doctors great service Dr. Nicole Griffin, & Dr. Z are the best. I have been going here for over 18 years. My children and husband go here for all there medical needs. When I need an appointment I can see a Dr someday…… I can’t ask for a better system it works.
