Second time coming back here since I was a kid. The restaurant setting hasn’t changed much at all. Everything is still prepared the same way that I remember. It’s still a cozy and comfortable environment. The workers are hardworking and very polite as well. Ordered the two eggs deal with pancakes, home fries and turkey sausage. And boy was it good and reminded me of old fashioned home cooked breakfast. This is the best breakfast spot in downtown Detroit. 10/10 ;)

Great experience in this little "hole in the wall", really a total experience from this place. Entirely change my perspective of what I was expecting. The employees are super friendly and really helpful. Now the good is amazing and really glad we decided to skip fast food because there is not better place than here to have an actual home cooking experience and feel like home while you traveling.

The breakfast tasted like my grandmas cooking. It was perfect. I wasn’t expecting such good food on my visit. Detroit definitely can cook. The soul food spot around the corner was good too. Definitely coming back to this restaurant next time I’m in Detroit! Loved it, the service too, the people were great!

Our 1st time back to The Clique since COVID season aaaaannnd. . .they haven't missed a beat! Disposable cups and utensils are a great move. And the food? STILL scrump-deli-icious! Fantastic and responsive service by Mo topped it all off!

Located in a motel, this place is great. Food was delicious. Service was very good. Food came out fast and hot. The raisin bread French toast was excellent. Aren't the baby pancakes cute?

One of the best breakfast I’ve had. We were visiting from out of town and asked a Policeman for recommendations. He recommended the CLique and we are so happy he did. I’ve yet to find a place that is as good as the breakfast here. The hot cakes are so tasty you don’t need anything else. The hash browns were also delicious! We went back there both days of our visit.

Finally made it here. Wasn't my choice several times, but I finally gave in. The food was ok. I had a bit of a few items. Ours server was great. It's a very quint place. I was told it was remodeled, that was one of my reasons for not wanting to go there, it jus looked disgusting on the outside so i'm sure the inside was any better. Would I return🤔 it's possible, but still wouldn't be my first choice. (My first visit didn't post so here's both visits as you see I returned, twice within about 4mths. Our server today asked all the possible questions. She was the 💣).

The Clique Diner serves up one of Detroit’s best breakfasts. They also serve a wide range of lunch options. They’re open only 7am-3pm daily. The corned beef hash is the best I’ve ever had, and the meatloaf sandwich was highly recommended. It’s unfortunately co-located with a motel, but it’s unaffiliated and is itself a destination dining spot, not a motel greasy spoon.

It's small. It's attached to a motel. It's on East Jefferson, which is ironic only in that the roads are so bad you'd think you were on a chuck wagon pioneering out West. Anyway. This is one of the best diners you are going to find. Are the windows leaking? Yes. Is the air conditioner grate falling off the wall? Yes...But will you get an outstanding omelette, a giant heaping portion of perfectly fried potatoes, toasty buttery bread, and service with a smile? Also yes!!! Food was piping hot and made perfectly. Enough said.

Just a warning to others so you don't waste your time like I did. This breakfast place is no longer open for inside dining on Saturday and Sunday . Time to write this place off my breakfast list. What a shame I used to come here often as food was quite good. But always had really long painful waits to get a table, But now I guess that's all in the past now

The Clique never disappoints. Excellent diner food. Everyone’s chatting and having a good time. Big fan of their omelettes. Happy to see some renovations only because it means they’re doing well!

Wow!!! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Mexican skillet and my husband had salmon croquettes. It was the best skillet Ive ever had! Fresh salsa and the eggs cooked to perfection!I couldn’t have been more pleased! My husband loved his salmon! The pancakes are delicious! They are better than OHOP which have been my favorite pancakes for years!!! So u can see how pleased I was! The waitress was very nice also! I will definitely be back!!!!

Great breakfast spot. Misleading because it is located in a motel, but recognizing this is the style of Detroit. Unwelcoming look outside, an absoute Gem inside. Great pancakes, children friendly, fast service, cash only, great for solo breakfast date. Small spot, so waiting times can vary. Ordered the silver dollar pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and the original breakfast. Coffee, superb. Clean establishment, free parking available with the motel.

Hadn't been here in years! Food is still great.. breakfast that is. Portions were very decent. Still have the silver dollar pancakes. Service pretty quick. Staff very nice/ professional. Prices are according to today's time and situation. Won't stay away so long.

We go there every time we take a trip to Michigan. We literally plan our trip around making sure to have at least one breakfast there. The food quality and quantity is just great. Quantity is a bit smaller than it used to be (note my last trip there was 11 years ago!), but it is still quite large and plenty enough. I have a lot of food restrictions and am a vegetarian, never had an issue finding great food there. Don’t forget to bring cash.

Clique is a vintage traditional diner serving exactly what you would expect. Don’t be fooled by the rough outside. It’s in a motel style building that hides the great diner inside a little. Walk in and you are greeted warmly and in a diner that is warm, charming, friendly and fast. My wife had the corn beef hash and it was excellent. It’s a common offering but it’s not always delicious and Clique nailed it. It was fantastic. I had sausage and eggs and it was great. It was busy, there was lots of staff, always offering to top up my coffee and the place just seemed like a busy happy place. I give the Clique a 5/5.

Conveniently located next to the hotel. Cozy space, with tasty food.

The food is amazing, the servers are okay. The pancakes, the hashbrowns, bacon and eggs were on point! What I like most is that you get a lot of food for what you pay. It's connected to a motel but don't judge a book by its cover the food is excellent and worth every penny

An affordable hole in the wall like diner that really needs a face lift. The food was really good. They say the worse a place looks the better the food. They've only updated their booths in the past 25 years. They STILL are cash only! The pandemic caused some menu items to be temporarily removed. Hopefully they'll make more changes for the times and maintain the quality of the food.

Good ol' fashion diner with counter & booths. Grill in view. Friendly, VERY EFFICIENT staff serving breakfast and lunch, 7-3, except Sunday. Bottomless coffee and water. Fantastic eggs, pancakes, hash browns, home fried potatoes, turkey sausage, grits!! Combination omelette/ platters. Burgers & sandwiches among lunch options. Sit in, take away, or pick up orders. I had breakfast twice, inside & take away lunch*1!!! Adjacent to Rivertown Inn & Suites. Free parking, limited space.

I’ve driven past this place plenty times and I’m glad I decided to go today! My server Erica was EXCELLENT and all the staff was friendly. My food was good, it came out nice and hot. It is a small diner but it’s comforting. Parking isn’t the best but don’t let that discourage you from checking this place out! Please note it is CASH ONLY! I highly recommend and I’ll be back again 😁

Never had a bad meal there in 30yrs. My go to is 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns with onion & cheese. They also grill a Cinnabon, hot & delish.

Clique has been around for a long time, but stiĺl delivers a great home cooked meal like Mom used to make quick and satisfying! I had a traditional breakfast and added their delicious Salmon patties! Yum, yum... Parking can get a little tight depending on when you go.

I'm an out of towner, but I really enjoyed my experience here. The staff we all super nice and personable, and the food was amazing. Their Banana's Foster costing like 10 bucks for how amazing it is is uncanny. I was having a rough go at it the weekend I was in Detroit, but that Banana's Foster almost made me sing. Bit of a wait to get your food, but hey, I can wait for how amazing it is.

Vince the owner knows I love this restaurant. Best food reasonable prices. Jay cooks an omelet better than anyone. I miss Tim the concierge. Close to downtown. Favorite go to spot. I wish Vince would consider opening back up 7 days again.

Visiting from Houston, Texas. The salmon croquettes were delicious! Wonderful flavor. The mini pancakes were so cute and very tasty as well. If I'm ever here again, I'll definitely be back 😊

The creek is a very small local place but if you want some good food especially breakfast this is your spot. Staff is cool nothing to really brag about. But yeah the food is good.

It’s a real old school diner but definitely a hidden gem. There isn’t a lot of space in here but the food is good and the prices are affordable. I had their scrambler with chicken sausage. I also had toast and their silver dollar pancakes. Everything was good and filling. Would definitely recommend this place.

Food wasn't good like it use to be. Great atmosphere 👌 for meeting friends. Staff was friendly but maybe this day wasn't a good day. Will give them another chance.

The food was delicious (the coffee was perfect!) and the service was prompt and friendly. They were wall to wall busy but we were never ignored. No one in the place was.
