The food was good since it is something I came up with and The serve was really nice. MY sparkling strawberry water was flat but the plain sparkling water was good.. I really disliked how unclean the tables and food counters was! We also waited for a hour for a table and when we was seated, the place was empty with plenty of available tables. They could have gave us the option to sit at two tables near each other.

The ingredients are decent, but everything goes onto the grill at once so most things end up overcooked. Don't bother ordering appetizers if you're getting a stir fry bowl, they'll take long enough to come out that you'll probably be full from the stir fry bowl before they give you your apps. Wait staff are painfully slow, when we were in today there was a near 15 minute wait to get the cheque.

This restaurant is very dirty and not well kept up. Definitely will not be going here again. Feces on the floor in the restroom. The food had definitely been sitting out and not maintained. Everything was mixed together from falling off other people plates.

The only Mongolian barbecue I’ve ever been to that does not allow you to take your leftovers that ARE ALREADY ON YOUR PLATE if you get the unlimited bowl. They would rather see it thrown away than give the customer food that’s already been served and touched by them anyway!!! That alone cheapens the experience for me. It’s so petty. And I brought my family here about five years ago to celebrate after my graduation. We had the same issue here 5 yrs ago. The only difference is the waitress waited until we ordered our unlimited bowl and got our food to tell us that we couldn’t take our leftovers. Since this was so long ago I came back hoping that things had changed. Clearly still trash. Other things we noticed to be dramatically different from ALL other BD’s we’ve been to: -Smaller rice portions with the stir fry you order -much smaller sauce, meat, noodle and seasoning selections to choose from for the stir fry bowls -Several tables Off-limits for my friends and I to sit in simply because of the waiter we were assigned. All spaces that we asked to sit in we were told no and only given one option which was to sit at the table our host picked for us -no warm tortillas to go with out bowls?

I have not been here in a very long time, my lunch was great. Make sure you fill your bowl with meats and veggies as full as you can.

Food was really good but changed were quite abundant and fast. Since last time we were there 3 months ago prices have gone up to $18 a bowl! Not to mention you no longer receive tortillas and lettuce wraps. Also when ordering a single go up one time bowl you are not allowed to split with someone else. For $18 it's not worth it for us each to get our own bowl especially those of us who have had gastric bypass surgery and eat less than a child. We have always been allowed to split our bowl as long as we did not go up for seconds so higher prices and receive less. Two negative changes don't complement each other. Also was told when dining with my family and paying separately I'm not allowed to use my rewards if they use their rewards on their bill. So only one group of us at the table can use our account and the others are not allowed to unless we sit at separate tables. Think it's time we look for another place unfortunately because I am cool with prices going up but to get less and silly new rules added on top, no thank you.

This used to be my go-to spot, but service and food had been going downhill, so we stopped going as often. Today was the first time in at least a year, and I almost regret going at all. The inside hasn't changed since they opened, its seriously due for an upgrade. The salad bar was my favorite, and it's GONE! The server was horrible. I didn't even know her name because she never introduced herself to us. She said maybe 2 handfulls of words to us, and mostly with an attitude. I asked for nutritional information for ramen, as I couldn't find it on the website. She simply said no. And walked away. We ordered 2 of the same ramen anyway, and they tasted very different. When I asked if there may have been a mistake, I was met with a short rude answer and no understanding. I feel bad for my husband because mine was spicy but decent and his had no spice and was bland. We also made a bowl, which was just ok. The rice is now plopped on your plate at the grill instead of brought to the table. We were never offered tortillas as we had always been before, and I feel like the meat and veggie selections were lacking. The whole place just seemed dim. Dingy and dirty. The employees seem miserable. And for 2 ramen and 2 bowls, we spent $70. Way over priced for the experience we had. Sadly, that will probably be the last trip to BD's for us. It's just not worth it.

I hadn’t been to bd’s in a long time and I was so excited to eat here again. I was really disappointed. We make our bowls and I have my 3 year old daughter with me. The grill cook instructed me to a spot and told me my daughters bowl had to go over to another across the grill. I tried to explain to him I can’t leave her over there alone. It was awkward but I walked her bowl over to there and went back. He also put my egg on someone else’s food. I wish this was the end of it… we get our bills and my daughters bowl was charged $8.99 but there were at least 2 signs stating on mondays the kids meals are $3.99. It’s only $5 but that’s the only reason I got her her own bowl. (She normally just eats off my plate). The manager wasn’t going to adjust the price and told me because an artist has to come and repaint the sign. Okay cool just cover it then? You can’t entice people to order with a special that is advertised and then charge full price. In the end he comped it but I shouldn’t have had to be a “Karen” about it. Also the Mongolian ginger is gone and that was my favorite sauce 😢. The food was good and our server was nice. Just a bad experience overall.

I have to edit my previous review. I used to love this place. My family frequently would pick this for family gatherings. Today was probably our last visit. They were not busy but were way understaffed. Our drinks went empty, the tortillas came after our meals were done. The food selection is noticeably cheaper. I get costs have gone up, good help is hard to find. I'm comparing you to less expensive places where the staff makes less. the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and other issues are obvious. It was a Friday night and you were dead. Just 6 months ago it would have been a 45 minute wait. Your customers are bailing.

Had not been in so many years and I was not disappointed. I noticed some changes like they added salmon and yum sauce to the buffet. The kids enjoyed it and so did I. We really liked the noodles off the hibachi grill. Everything was great!

We had a reservation for 28 people for a surprise birthday and proposal, on Saturday evening! Vanessa was an amazing waitress. The manager and the cooks were amazing and patient with us as we had several kids and special requests.

I absolutely love this place! Iove being able to design my own dishes and have them cooked right in front of me. They have a decent selection of everything and there's surely something you'll like here. This one isn't nearly as busy (at least when I go which is usually lunch @12ish) as the other ones I go to which is surprising. The cooks there know what they are doing and everything is speedy! Great experience if you've never been, girlfriend and I are repeat customers!

Food is delicious and the service is good. The meet could be a bit more presentable and look less saggy. The guy on the grill on point. The place could be a bit cleaner. That’s why I gave it only 3 stars for the atmosphere everything else 5 stars.

Food is good, I'm not fond of all the signs reminding me to tip! The waitress only brings drinks and boxes yet there's a sign over checkout reminds me to tip 20 percent. Tip jars over at the grill make more sense. I don't know if they make below minimum wage but 20percent tip to have drinks refilled leaves me with a sour taste

Had an amazing dinner tonight, brought some noobs with us that absolutely want to come back again. The cooks were amazing and our server OLIVIA WAS the bomb and we hooked her up, good job girl and thank you for taking our pictures..I've been a server for over 30 years and it's not easy, keep up the good work. Hopefully we will see you again 🙂 We are from the Deck Down Under in Jerome MI. Cooks, Prep, Expo, Bartender, Dishwasher, and Server, we have no complaints so F the haters.

Food was good. Had to ask for silverware and go get waitress bc she left the wrong drink. Other than that everything was good.

This restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. There were lots of options to choose from, to create your own meal. Unfortunately, the wait staff were more interested in chatting with each other than serving the customer needs. It was not that busy and there were plenty of staff members, but service was poor. They had a sign which said that servers are essential workers and to please tip at 20%. If you worked for it, we would have.

Pretty good experience. Food was good. Staff is good. They have a policy that if you have a party of six or more; only one person pays, or you can not sit together. (Kind of weird) Also a 20% tip is automatically applied to the bill for a party that size. (Which is fine)

I took my family to this restaurant, yesterday after finding it on Google. We had never heard of it. We showed up around 11:30am (they opened at 11am), their hostess/waitress (she was doing both which is not the easiest thing to do)was extremely pleasant/helpful to us and walked us around to show us the concept of the restaurant service. It was nicely set up, fresh/raw food (you gather your own ingredients), they had excellent grill personal who cooked our combinations to perfection and they was even other beautiful families there who were friendly and also seem to be enjoying the service as much as my family. We were a party of 4 and spent only $80, normally I spend $100+ on Lunch/Brunch when we go out. I was glad that we ventured out and tried something new...we will definitely be back! Great Service! 👍🏽

Absolutely horrible visit..... For some background, my boyfriend has a severe dairy allergy, to the point where even a little bit of contamination could force him to be come incapacitated. 3 others and myself went to Mongolian for lunch this past Saturday (8/13/2022). When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a hostile waitress. While being seated, she asked if we were all set then went to SNATCH the menus from our table and got upset when I told here that we still needed one for the table. Note: Last time we all came here, they had an item on the menu that was dairy free and safe, however since the ownership change, all the food has been ruined (No more tortillas, or rice brought to your table, AND no salad bar). When we asked the waitress about the menu items and what they had that was dairy free, or if they even had an allergen menu, we were told (again with even more attitude the more questions we ask) that they don't have an allergen menu and that they would just cook whatever in the back. We tried to ask a follow up question but yet again attitude and hostility took over and she walked away without being helpful in the slightest. We were upset and stunned that someone would react this way when being told that someone has an allergy and we just want to make sure that they aren't going to die. We build out plates, and go to the grill, where the cook barely acknowledges our existence and snaps at us to go to a different spot than we had went to after standing around waiting for him to tell us where to go. My boyfriend hands him his food and informs him of the allergy and the cook asks "so it's going to the back to be cooked" we sent the food to the kitchen to be cooked safely and as the cook is taking it he yells a question to us, and starts getting upset when we couldn't hear him. (We were on the other side of the grill and couldn't hear him, but even my father was standing ~7' away and couldn't even understand him) Absolutely garbage place to go now and would recommend that everyone stays away and refuses to give them business until they clean up their act.

This place definitely is not what it use to be , the place is literally not worth it anymore & now I know why the place is even more emptier.idk if they changed owner or what but They took away the salad bar , tortillas, rice bowl on the table & prices are higher . I understand the prices being raised if you were to bring something new to the restaurant but the fact they took away items & raised prices doesn’t make sense. This place use to be my favorite & now we will no longer be coming back . Can’t believe they got rid of the best things! We even ordered fried Oreos & they were burnt! But the manager did give us a free slice of cake & we did appreciate that. Our server was really good as well!

I always enjoy MongoBBQ!! My fav part is adding my choice of seasonings and sauces. My this trip I mixed steak, fajita chicken, and shrimp. I also added a few veggies along with Jalapeño, ginger water, and roasted peppers.

This place is not what it was a few years ago.. when your server gets upset at you for reminding her she didn't bring your drink and sending your bill with another waiter because she got an attitude, its time to close the book on this restaurant.. horrible service, all menu options taken away little by little and not well maintained place. Do your self a favor go else where. Michigan Ave has way better bar food than this craphole of a place

The food was great and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The cooks and manager were incredibly personable and nice to us, and our waitress Kierra was great as well. She was funny & friendly and has great energy. We would come back just to have her again.

Always a great experience any BDs. Fresh options. Great for vegetarians. Love their sauce options that you can mix/match.

👍👍 This was a very cool and unique restaurant. I loved the atmosphere, and all the older Ford cars and decor that surrounded the place. They had indoor and outdoor seating. A variety of craft beer (got my flight sampler) and the food menu was amazing with a lot of options too! I'd definitely recommend...
