Overall great place. Was fairly quiet and the service was quick and nice. Deborah took care of us and was excellent. My only complaint was the salads were mostly iceberg lettuce, which seems cheap for the price. Otherwise, everything was good.

I would eat at this place again, even if it was not in an airport. I had the garbage burger, which has bacon guacamole and a bunch of other good stuff. It was cooked and prepared perfectly. Took me less than 25 minutes from start to finish and even get enjoy some football while waiting for my flight. Just awesome

I missed this place. We had one near my hometown and it was my favorite restaurant. I loved the tortilla soup and salad with the breadstick. We had a layover at DTW and got a chance to have a bowl of soup. The salad wasn't the same and the breadstick is no more, but the soup is still delicious

Reasonably priced and good food for an airport. The service was pretty quick which made it easy to grab a decent meal before my flight.

The home fries were so good, I loved the spice. The bacon was great and eggs were cooked perfectly. Airport pricing is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

THE GOOD - lots of space to sit and get work done. Outlets available and food was generous portions. THE BAD - When I arrived 3 people were already waiting to be seated. For the next 5+ minutes not one person looked in our direction. When someone finally approached all they did was say it wasn't their job to seat us and that someone would be along to do that. When seated the waitress tried to be friendly but wasn't good at it. She took my order right away and it took awhile to get my drink let alone the food. When I needed to have the sauce swapped out bc it wasn't what I ordered I had to try to flag her down several times since she wouldn't stop in to check on me. Very limited menu option.

Pretzel sticks and burger were a nice pre flight meal. Views while dining of the terminal are awesome

Had the Chicken Cobb Salad. Disappointed—chicken totally fake-tastes pressed with lots of fat. Lettuce was supposed to be romaine but is mostly iceberg.

Between flights and had time for a quick lunch. Decide to get a cheeseburger and French fries. The cheeseburger was nice and large, but a bit on the greasy side. The fries would have been good but they must have accidentally double salted. They were beyond salty. I can't imagine they were supposed to be like that.

Stopped here for a quick bite in between flights. The restaurant was at medium capacity but the staff took a bit to take my order. Asked for the turkey and avocado burger and received a sad tasteless sandwich. The turkey patty tasted like it had been just recently defrosted and there were two of the saddest slivers of avocado decorating the bun. Pretty disappointing, considering the meal cost over $30. Even for an airport restaurant, this is not worth a stop.

Great atmosphere A typical american bar+restaurant. Avocado cobb salad was mediocre for the price. Very expensive food (airport tax?) Very little chicken, not even hand tossed for the price they charged.

During a recent layover at the Detroit airport, we stopped into Max & Erma's for a very late dinner. They were clearly getting ready to close but sat us anyway. My son commented on the smell in the restaurant - I worked fast food as a teen, and it reminded me of the dirty water after you washed the floor. That should have been my first clue, lol! Our service was decent, although our server was often off cleaning or sweeping or doing tasks to close. My son ordered wings - he said they were super spicy, which he liked, and pretty good. It went downhill from there. I ordered a rare burger - showed up almost raw. It was the Bodacious Bacon. It barely had one slice of bacon on it. And again, it was raw meat. I mean, my son and I like a rare burger, but this was a little too rare for us. So, I politely sent it back, and they eventually brought a new burger. It was definitely cooked better this time....but then, the French fries were totally cold. I don't think it was the same plate, just with a new burger, but I could be wrong. At this point, I was done. We split the burger, ate a few fries, and got our check. I told the server about the cold fries, and she was very apologetic - honestly, service and the wings are the only reason this isn't a two star rating. Oh, and the prices - holy cow! I get that we are a captive audience in the airport, but that burger is $13.99 on their online menu but more like $19.99 at the airport. So, NOT worth it. I wish we had gone somewhere else, and this has really turned me off to Max & Erma's in general.

After 3 times I finally got my correct breakfast. The food was ok. The waitress was apologetic, but not her fault.

The price was double what was listed on the menu. Not unreasonable for the airport but I thought I was ordering a $13 salad and it really cost $24 plus a house red wine for $40. The bar tender was very nice but I had to track her down to pay. I had my card in the cup for most of the time I was there. The food was fine. Not great but not terrible which I am grateful for at 8;30p in the airport. Cozy, warm and friendly generally. This is a solid ok option outside of the price misrepresentation.

Do not order the Turkey burger at all. The restaurant (Karla) didn’t want to admit this was raw…. Idk how more pink and noticeable meat undercooked needs to be but this is so gross. Now let’s pray I don’t get sick.

Was sitting at the computer in the photo and there was a nice lady who sat down at the table across. She waited 15 min. I had waited a equal amount. When my waitress brought my drink the lady asked could she order. The waitress responded I'm not your server, very rude like. Guess customer service is not a priority here. Almost left myself...

Ate here while waiting for our flight. Worked out well as they have omelets, breakfast sandwiches, and pancakes. We had the western omelet and pancakes. Everything was good! Would prefer real silverware as ours broke while eating.
