Staff is really nice, but that’s about all the good I can say. Everything is so overly priced I ended up just getting the garlic fries which were $10. Like I wanted to enjoy them, but all I could think about was how much I just spent on literally one potato, cut into slivers, barely deep fried and then sprinkled with garlic seasoning. Ugh, I should have wasted that $10 on a beer and got tipsy (I’m a light weight).

Service was fine. Prices were high. I don't blame a restaurant in an airport for high prices much, what I do judge them for, is the price scales not making sense. The regular 16oz beer for $10.75 comes in at around $0.67/oz and the large 20oz beer for $15 comes in at $0.75/oz You are paying more per once with the larger size, makes no sense.

April, 2023. My 2 stars are going 3 stars because we had food this time that was was good - Fish and Chips and Chicken Caesar Salad. Sandhya was our server and she was outstanding. The food pricing is not ridiculous considering an airport but the drinks are pricey even for an airport. April,2022 Wow $16 for one Mimosa!! Bartender was friendly though.

Decent beers in DTW. Nice selection of their own stuff and visiting taps. They allegedly have a rotating tap too which is cool. I had the Marzen, it was very good. Nice and cold. Sat at the bar, which had some open seats so it wasn't too busy. It was 4pm on a weekday though. Service overall was slow, which for an airport is never a good sign. The staff weren't rude, but they weren't very friendly either. Just sort of there. Due to this I didn't stick around for food. Paid for my beer and decided to eat elsewhere. Not a terrible spot to grab a beer though.

Had a couple hour layover at the Detroit airport I didn’t want a fast food place that I could get the usual food I can eat anywhere so I found #GordonBiersch Brewery. I had never heard of it so I gave them a try. I’m glad I did. I ordered a lovely #marzenBavarianLager to go with my #bratwurstSliders The beer was light and refreshing, a beautiful amber color with great flavor! The #bratwurst sliders were perfectly yummy. I loved that the meat was the star of the show with smaller #pretzelBuns which were a great compliment to the meat. The luscious caramelized #onions and wonderful marzen #mustard were amazing! Tangy and sweet they complimented the succulent bratwurst so well. Good fast service allowed me plenty of time to enjoy my layover with low stress. I’m glad I stopped to get a bite at Gordon Biersch Brewery before continuing on to Toronto. #gordonbierschbrewery

This place I could see being a problem if it were busy. We had 30 minutes before our flight and there was basically nobody here since it was between lunch and dinner so we ordered wings. It took nearly the entire 30 to arrive and so we had to switch it to a take out. Luckily they were accommodating but if there were more customers this wouldn’t have made it to us in time. It’s just chicken wings. But to add to it; the quality was poor. Some of the worst quality wings I’ve had the pleasure of eating.

This is my second time eating at this restaurant during my layover in Detroit airport the menu have very few items and I ordered the soup of the day which was chicken gumbo they should of called it chicken and rice it’s and insult to GUMBO to call the soup GUMBO also the soup was salty and it’s been my experience when soup has steam coming from it it may have been reheated in the microwave nevertheless it’s not that great of a place for food but the staff was very friendly and attentive I don’t know what happened within the last 2 months maybe it’s a different cook and the main course I don’t even know what this is 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

The fish and chips were prepared well. Customer service wasn’t too good. The cold slaw was an epic fail. Was not sweet and and had a sour taste to it. One waitress managing the restaurant. She was kind of all over the place. Extremely overpriced for the serving size. Total meal was $25, but everything is expensive in the airport. Not sure that I will eat here again.

This review is for the Gordon Biersch in McNamara Terminal at DTW (Detroit Airport). So my flight was 4hrs late and I missed my connection. I had to sleep on the floor from midnight to about 5am, when other people finally started to show up. I only ate here because everything was closed when I arrived at 1130 and Delta didn't give us anything, so I was really hungry when GB opened at 8am. That said, their breakfast really hit the spot. The portions are huge and I couldn't finish it. I got the veggie scramble and it was delish. The potato wedges had a tasty seasoning too. And not to be forgotten, my server, Cedric, was a delight! After 12+ hours dealing with rude Delta staff, Cedric was a breath of fresh air. Very welcoming and attentive, despite a lot of customers, and he was friendly and patient. We had a nice chat. It really changed my mood for the better. Thank you!

Terrible breakfast. They served us half toasted sourdough toast and it was the heel! Really? Didn’t have hash browns so they brought fries. Eggs I believe were fake eggs. The scrambled were terrible. None of this was the fault of the wait staff. Terrible $70 breakfast for 2.

Ok. I went to a few fast food places but decided to stop here instead at the Detroit airport at gate A. I had the fish tacos and then I had Norm's IPA by Griffenclaw and a Dirty Blond by Atwater. Both were beyond my expectations. I ordered the fish tacos and I think they were the best fish tacos I've ever had. Very tasty and and spiced very well. Service was quick attentive! Now I almost wish I lived closer so I could keep coming back here.

Gordon Biersch was a great stop while at DTW! Granted it wasnt a busy night, but our waitress Pam was so friendly and expeditious. We had the hefeweizen and rosé which were both delightfully drinkable. Total price was what youd expect for the airport - $24 for a beer and a glass of wine. We didnt eat here, but it smelled soooo good 😎 bon voyage!

I had 2 draft beers and the wife had a bottle of beer and it was $24. Typical price for airports and having a 4 hour layover. Sadly we had to ask if we could go in and sit at the bar as no one welcomed us. It was also well over 10 minutes before the bartender came over to ask us our requests. The local draft beer was decent and atmosphere was better then the typical airport terminal scene.

This is a brewary/ restaurant inside the terminal. Good food and beers on the menu. Salads and Mediterranean chicken are really good. It gets pretty loud in here as the restaurant is open to the terminal. Service is decent but my server Sandhya was very incompetent. I will go back for food and beer. Food is expensive (airport tax)

Eating at this restaurant at 6 PM on a Friday was very relaxing and calm. There was even a nearby live piano player that added to the atmosphere. The beer (Marzen) was good; light and crisp, and the food was very flavorful; the garlic Parmesan fries were fantastic.

Gordon Biersch Offers pub food with a nice view on the runway. If you are short on time or in a hurry, do not visit this restaurant. It is absolutely chaos to get seated and get your food in time to catch your plane. I waited for several minutes to get seated, the lady had to clean my table, and the other waitress was confused and asked if I moved from the bar to the table. I had to ask another guest if I could have a look at the menu since nobody brought a menu. More than 10 minutes later, the waitress finally took my order. The fish and chips were kind of OK, and the large Pils was actually the best part of the lunch. I still can’t get over the fact why restaurants are allowed to charge so much money for a glass of beer. It’s an absolute scandal. Overall, just your standard run-of-the-mill pub food with very slow service, but the view makes up for that.

Tasty beer and clean restaurant. Staff were friendly but unhurried. Likewise, the food was average - more like a neighborhood bar than what I was expecting at this price point, which is high. They do not answer their phone or return messages.

The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. I ordered the classic breakfast, and the hash browns are like these seasoned potato wedges (they were delicious, by the way). The eggs (ordered scrambled) were a little on the wet/slimy side, but I like them that way. Bacon was perfectly cooked, not too soft, but also not falling apart from being cooked crispy. My one suggestion, they tend to undercook (under toast?) Their toast, so if you like it toasted, be sure to let them know. I personally don't mind, so I'm not knocking the score over it. I like to experience different restaurants I can't enjoy back home, so I highly recommend this establishment for your (pre)travel meal needs!

We absolutely LOVE this place whenever we’re at Detroit Airport catching a flight. Here right now, and our server, Karen is seriously phenomenal. We ordered our toddler somw fries, and she brought them our early for her. Super attentive, and she even helped us with our bags to make us comfortable in the booth. We always eat here and love it!

Although the other waitress seemed nice, the lady that attended my table was not kind. She just asked me "what do you want" without referring to any menu or place to look up, she didn't bring or offer water. To the other table she was attending close to me, she served the coffee in ceramic cup but she served my coffee in a cup of paper. I felt the service was depending on appearance/clothes. I was in a business trip but always prefer to have low profile and travel comfortable, this seems to have caused bias in this place.

Enjoyed the garlic fries and cajun pasta here with an Atwater Dirty Blonde. Service was a bit slow.

The strawberry margarita was really delicious. I also enjoyed the CBLT, the avocado sauce was just well prepared. The service was prompt and efficient.
