👍👍 I go here to shoot pool and drink and they never let me down. The bar tenders always get me together but they won't sell me 3 long islands which is understandable because they are strong. People often mention dive, great, time, drinks, bartender,

A gem of a dive bar in the D. Hard to miss - recrangle green painted brick outside decor. When you walk inside it looks like a repurposed VFW. Another way to describe it is its your uncles half finished basement. It has a quaint, yet homey feel. You go here to get shots, beer, or to straight alcohol for sipping. They have all the ingredients for a good time with your choice of pinball, pool, small corner stage, potluck tables in the back, a smoking deck, and a jute box. It should be noted that the bathrooms are in rough shape, but you’d expect that from a dive bar.

Great dive bar in Detroit. Bartender really nice. Ended up there from the recommendation of a local resident. Drinks were cheap and strong. Mature crowd. Area a little sketchy for an out of towner. I definitely wouldn't want to be in that area at night. Got out of dodge when the sun went down. Overall, great time and good music.

My Mistress and I visited Jumbos bar for our anniversary last month and we were extremely impressed with the food quality, service and thoughtfulness in making us feel special. The server Andre was very friendly and gave incredible food recommendations. When we came to the table it was decorated with confetti and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to toast with. We ordered their calamari which melted in your mouth and was super delicious! I had the bone in filet topped with lobster sauce and a side of shallot butter which was so juicy, tender, flavorful and simply magnificent. My Mistress ordered the ribeye steak which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The creme bruleed cheesecake was so simple, but delicious! Everything exceeded our expectations! Thank you for an unforgettable anniversary! We will be back. Side note: we came back the next day to pick up their grill at home burgers which were freaken phenomenal!

Great if you love dive bars, this IS the definition of a dive bar! Cool place, CHEAP beer/ drinks. Not a great selection but worth the price and the trip. Go hang out for a few drinks and hit the "hip" spots after.

Our bartender was so welcoming and friendly!!!! My husband and I really enjoyed going here before our concert at Masonic Temple....the prices were very fair and the patrons were just as friendly as the bartender.....we will definitely go back!!! If you're in the area stop in!!!!

This place has that little hole in the wall feel, all the drinks are super cheap, and the owner’s daughter is adorable. I got a free coozie for being out of town, and she wasn’t even going to charge me for my drink since they have a $10 minimum on cards. It definitely doesn’t have the “cool” vibe, but it’s really laid back.

We had drinks here today and my vodka and cranberry only cost $4.50ea (as of 09/26/23) which is the cheapest I’ve found in a while! And the bartender who is also the owners daughter is super sweet! We had a great time! This is definitely a place we’d visit again! There is no food besides some chips!

Wish I could have had a positive experience like others in the Comments. When I arrived at the bar it was obvious everyone was a regular. The patrons were not very welcoming and that was ok. The real issue Was that the bartender seemed to be affected by The spirit. Of the patrons And was not very welcoming to a newcomer either. They did have Cheap beer and I will return mosleep out of spite.

Not like it was 30 years ago but still a cool place, I'm glad it's still up and running.

A diamond in the rough, but you won't be disappointed. Not a place I normally would frequent based on the outside, but the inside is old school charm. The owners are hands on , Stephanie is a great bartender. Very diverse crowd and welcoming. Outside space. No food , but reasonable drink prices. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth a visit . I was pleasantly surprised.

Super cool dive bar downtown Detroit. Great staff! the outside looks a little sketchy but rest assured it's a great place. All the people inside were all super nice as well. Can't wait to come back again. Not to mention $4 16 oz white claws is a great deal. Thanks Jumbo's for the hospitality. I'll be back soon.
