The girls and I are super competitive when it comes to board games, so I couldn't wait to try this venue and I must say although the menu is limited, the choices that were available were super delicious 😋 especially the spicy fries, hot pretzel, sliders and cauliflower. The atmosphere was awesome but my game partner and I got our butts whooped in Taboo 🤭😳. We also met the owner who was very humble, nice and beyond helpful!! We all loved it and will definitely be returning 😊🥘🥘🥨🥨

All star ratings are for the bathroom, not the establishment. The Corner is one of my favorite places. It has a great atmosphere and a huge wall of board games. If you're lucky, you can also get a table by their fireplace. Now to their bathroom. It's located down underneath Detroit Axe...way in the back... WHICH IS GREAT if you're worried about noises or smells. There are a line of urinals(6) and stalls (3 or 4). No dividers on the urinals, so make sure you keep your eyes on your own work. The floor was ...wet... and I nearly fell ... which is gross. BUT they have one of those old school big tub sinks that shoots water out in all directions. That was fun... +s because it is nice and secluded -s because it's kinda moist and here aren't dividers. It'll do if you must

Finally tried this place after hearing about it from my friend Kola, who pretty much runs the place. It has a great open atmosphere. The large space of The Corner is nicely set up for a date night, a chill night out with friends, or celebrating a family member’s significant achievement. We sat at the bar and started off with some beverages. The selection was nothing short of abundant. I was happy to venture into the world of sparkling botanical teas as I am a non-alcoholic. We also ordered food. There were so many creative options to choose from. By my buddy, Kola’s recommendation I went with the cauliflower pita and spicy fries. Both dishes excited my taste buds in their own ways. The cauliflower pita was fresh, loaded with the greenest baby arugula and finely crusted halloumi in harmony with a perfectly roasted cauliflower steak. The spicy fries, as the name describes, were spicy but, not too spicy. The fries came out hot and piled high. Topped with green onions, a spicy aioli, and dusted with crushed up flaming hot Funyuns, these fries are enough to fly solo rather than just a side or a perfect snack to share. I am excited to return for another visit to try their pizzas, peruse their dessert menu, browse their huge board game library, and maybe even throw some axes at det axe

We love coming here with friends because it is a unique hangout spot in a great location! The food is always great but can tend to be on the more expensive side. We like trying the weekly pizza experiment that always features a different yet delicious combination of toppings. There are board games galore for groups of all sizes and experience levels, and there are other options for live entertainment every day of the week. Our favorite is Bar Bango on Sundays at 6, especially when we can sit on the outdoor patio. I can’t forget to mention the friendly staff, especially the board game aficionado. Next time we hope to try axe throwing upstairs!

I’ve been 2x this month! The first time I sat downstairs at the bar. I believe his name was Sean. Cool people. I tried a new beer from Shorts a local Michigan brewery. I love Soft Parade so this time I tried OctoRock. It’s delicious. Seriously. The chicken sandwich was sooooo good and the atmosphere was nostalgic. The second time I played an🪓 axe game with my friend upstairs. Upstairs is a more laid back vibe. We were paired with another group and we all came up with names with a pun on axe. Mine was Axe the Creater. We had a blast and our host was friendly fun and engaging. I’d go back on purpose for sure. 👍

The food and service here is great! Mallory took amazing care of me with my food allergy, checked in on us frequently, and was very friendly. Everyone at my table loved their food including the pickle pizza, spicy fries and the cauliflower Mac n cheese. We love the variety of board and card games they offer. Easily one of our favorite places to meet up with friends.

Great restaurant and good food. I love the fact that it’s set up to play games with friends. It’s a great concept, and they have an endless supply of games. I got the vegan Kale & Cashew salad, which was very good, but I do wish there was more options besides the salad and the fries. I did love the fries as well, but again the vegan options are limited. It looks like unfortunately the mushroom patty is also not vegan, so I didn’t try that either.

Perfect place for a game night with friends or even as a date. They have an ENORMOUS selection of games for 2+ players and even 10+ players. Their food is really good as well. Highly recommend the Brisket Sliders as well as their pizza’s. End the night with a bowl of ice cream and your choice of 15+ cereal topping options, yes…CEREAL. It is so good.

The Mac and cheese skillet and Bavarian pretzel we’re solid choices. The draft and bottle menu was adequate. The only downer was the 11:30 last call on a Friday.

Visited for a special bday. The bartender was amazing in helping us find the perfect alcoholic beverage as well as what to choose to eat. Ended up sharing a chicken sandwich and a mushroom burger (split in half) with a bad of fries. They beer menu was vast so he also helped us in choosing something based off our pallets. I would def go back hands down

Our server was the best. He constantly checked on us, made thoughtful suggestions, and was really mindful of our needs. The game selection was out of this world and the additional game of Bar Bango was a lot of fun!! Having it attached to the Detroit Axe was a great idea!!

This place is definitely worth a stop. They have a ton of board games with varied styles and difficulty levels. They also note how many players are required for each game. I recommend the huge pretzel and the mac and cheese! Staff were friendly too.

Atmosphere and food were amazing. Online menu (one of) doesn’t show VEGAN properly but they DO have 5 main vegan options. The sweet potatoes chili was amazing. The kale salad was tender and delicious. The bag of fries were well seasoned and fried to perfection. We didn’t try the charred cauliflower nor citrus green beans but they are vegan too. Game area had someone to help navigate and explain games of desired. Super helpful. It was a bit hectic to have food and drink around games. But ultimately it was a great date night experience before a local concert. Would recommend trying this place to anyone and everyone.

Decent, options for all diets. Slow service, warm beer glasses. Cool table top games and ax throwing upstairs.

The food could have been better. I did get sick from the food here. The place is very interesting. 7 dollars to add 5 pieces of chicken.

Amazing patio! The chairs are comfy enough to sleep in. I tried pickle pizza for the first time. It was amazing!

Wife and I dined here for a night out in ferndale. It was a Sunday night. There was not many people here. We were surprised at the relatively small menu. We ordered the dill pickle pizza and the fries. The fries unfortunately were not sliced but rather pre cooked from frozen. The pizza was rather good, but a very small portion for $15.00 each roughly. This place had a very good ambiance and the server was excellent. The food was just your typical bar food , with a slightly more upscale price. We were looking for something eclectic , fresh and unique in ferndale , but we did not find it. If their menu can improve , I would return here again.

A bar that has cereal...a cereal bar!!! With board games and other fun activities like axe throwing and some classic arcade games! The customer service is amazing and the atmosphere is so cool. It's a bit chill with a touch of exciting and a whole lot of nostalgia. I didn't get a chance to eat here but the drinks are great and reasonably priced.

I learned about the Corner on a list of board game cafes, but it is so much more! They have an truly impressive game selection and a board game sommelier who can make suggestions based on your group size and game interests. They can also help you with game set up and learning the rules. They have plenty for serious gamers but also lots of classic or party games like Uno, Scrabble, and Battleship. The space itself is gorgeous, with tons of natural light near the front but cozier corners towards the back. The food was delicious, they had a large drink selection, and they have different activities throughout the week—it was karaoke the night we were there. I became obsessed with the place only minutes after arriving. I plan to visit frequently in the future and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and board games in a cozy and friendly environment.

This place is really Nice, and the food, atmosphere and service very nice. It is located at such a happening location, so feels like enjoying at such nice place. There a lot of games to play and they do have game master to explain games rules if you are not familiar with the games you want to play.

100% recommended! They have a lot of board games, you can find games for begginers and also for people that are more serious about games. This place is perfect to have a good time eating, drinking and playing, the corner hamburger is delicious.

👍👍 About 95% of the wine I drink comes from Western Market. Their wine selection and the knowledgeable folks working the wine section make Western one of the best places to buy wine in metro Detroit. Prepared foods are excellent. They have recently remodeled and the store looks better than ever.
