I would rather die and not go to Beaumont emergency room ever again. I was in car accident and arrived at worst Emergency room. This review is all about the ER and everyone who was there.I was there 6:30pm and almost 6 hours without anyone checking on me! I asked for water they refused to give me. I was freezing asked for blanket, they refused to give me. Everyone was so rude and never came and said someone will see you soon. My family called and the ER told them I was discharged while I was not seen yetā€¦. They refuse to give me water because they wanted to get urine testing. However, my urine test as you see in picture was left right there and nothing was done to it! Lack of care lack of everything!

This hospital should be ashamed of themselves. The emergency room only allows a total of 35 people ( which is outrageous for the size of the hospital ). My family member was admitted and another person was in the back with them. I followed that rule and have no problem with it. I was told that I needed to exit the building because only one person was allowed in the room and building for one patient. I'm quite sure that there were many other waiting rooms they could have directed me to, but decided that me walking around the outside of the building, in November, was a better solution than showing me to another area. I was kicked out due to voicing my displeasure at this and then being associated with someone else who had nothing to do with me and their actions. The Charge Nurse "Ann" had a power trip when I told her what I thought of their service. There was even another worker that vouched for me when asked and I was still told that if I stepped back in the building, I would be arrested. If my family member was dying and was removed from being able to see them due to a power trip of an employee and a rent-a-cop, I would have sued that company into the ground. Get bought out again, maybe that will help. This place is a disgrace and should be ashamed. Never have I seen any caregivers with less compassion, empathy, or respect in my life.

Worst Worst Worst ! Worst uneducated staff ! No explanation about my condition. I am pregnant and was bleeding passed a huge clot and the doctor called it part of the placenta. Listening to them I thought I lost my baby. Made me wait for 4 hours before taking me in. Wish I could give zero stars. The woman who did my ultrasound had no experience and hurt me so bad I started crying in the room. She did not even know how to place me in the right position. She placed my butt in those triangle pillows. Discharged me at 11.30 pm telling me I can have a spontaneous miscarriage. My baby is all healthy and fine.

I visited the Troy Beaumont ER early this morning. 33 weeks pregnant with uncontrollable vomiting, dehydration, and bleeding. They made my husband stay in his car, gave me a bucket, and told me to wait. 3 hours later still in waiting room and vomiting consistently and would not even give me a cup of water. Ended up leaving and going to ascension where I was immediately brought to L&D and given fluids. Finally got a call from Troy Beaumont 6 HOURS LATER that a room was ready for me. I could have been in extreme dehydration by then and putting my baby at risk. Two of the nurses were chatting, laughing, and texting every time I went up to the window to beg for water. I let them know it was incredibly hot and I was on the verge of passing out and they told me there was nothing they could offer me to provide any relief. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. Get it together T.B.

My mom went there for chest pain they told her it was a virus that they ā€œdidnā€™t know what it wasā€ and told her to take Motrin if she feels uncomfortable. Absolutely ridiculous. Didnā€™t even look into her xray or ecg that was given to them by her doctor. Mind you she was waiting from 2-5 until they finally took her blood and she had to wait IN THE HALL WAY with out a sip of water til 10 pm. Absolutely disgusting. We should feel safe bringing our family members to the hospital. Now we worry. Do better. & to add my aunt went there with a broken foot and they told her it wasnā€™t broken. She went to a different emergency room and her foot had been broken for 3 days. Whatā€™s the point of this place if they donā€™t do their jobs? Seriously sickening.

Before I became a doctor I worked here in the EC. The doctors called ONLY BLACK patients with opiate addiction 'diggers' because they would try to 'dig the poop out with their fingers' I reported this and then was interrupted in my shift and told to talk to HR. Someone took over my shift and said I had to go immediately. I was then fired for leaving my work unfinished (despite my boss telling me I had to leave immediately and also they sent someone to replace me) it was charting stuff, nothing emergent or that my replacement couldn't do. So if you want to support open racism, this is the hospital for you! Gave a letter to HR and a copy for the president of the hospital, never heard back from either. Disgusting. Not worth my time to sue for retaliation since I'm now a doctor, however they cannot get this review removed because it's not slander or liable because ITS TRUE.

I could of DIED because of the doctors at Beaumont ER. Went several weeks ago to be told I was fine go home. No RX nothing. For weeks my body started swelling feet legs face stomach till I couldnā€™t walk. So 911 again waited 6 hours to be seen. Than I was told I had a kidney infection. They wanted to send me home again. But I couldnā€™t walk. Please go to another ER & hopefully you will be treated like a human being. Thumbs down WORST ER in Michigan.

*Review is for the Pediatric part of Troy Beaumont ER* - We had a really wonderful experience given the unfortunate circumstance. Every interaction from entering the building to the doctor that treated our daughter was positive and respectful. We were registered and taken to a room very quickly and were also treated very quickly. The staff did a great job explaining the process and checked in frequently. The staff made my daughter and I very comfortable through a scary, uncomfortable situation. Although I am hoping we never have to go through a similar experience, I would definitely choose to return in the event we have another emergency.

If you can go somewhere else, do it. They donā€™t care about people I arrived with severe pain and couldnā€™t walk no one seemed to care. After waiting so long I called the front desk to get an update as I was not able to walk and a lady came back and told me not to call with no update. After finally being admitted (4 hours) I was not evaluated properly and they first wanted to discharge me when they had done nothing to see what was wrong. Finally PA recommend a shot, but nurse after her didnā€™t know. Kept coming back confused. She even said ā€œoh you donā€™t have an IV?ā€ I never got that IV. She gave me a shot and told me to leave. I had a severe reaction in the hallway and no one seemed to care. Iā€™m not allergic to anything. I told them 5 times there is nothing in my system. They just took me to the front desk and told me to check back in as I couldn't talk and my body was shutting down. Thankfully my husband showed up after dropping our son off and we went somewhere else. Worst experience of my life. I thought I was dying and no one even was concerned.

The worst ER experience. The only responsible person was the provider who took care of me. The staff nurses and everyone including CAT scan guy were horrible. The iodine which was connected to my IV was started so bad that it has left a big bruise on my arm. The nurses rolled their eyes whenever me and my husband asked any questions; like literally you could tell by their expressions and tones that they just donā€™t want to be here doing this. I would never go back here!!! Stay away from this ER!!!

I took my mom here who was having trouble breathing with shortness of breath. The line was unusually long which I get but once she got admitted it took no more than 10 minutes for her to get back and we were told by staff it would be about 30 mins till we got the results back. It has been two hours and we have been met with nothing but just keep waiting for some tests and i am still waiting and typing this in the lobby. I donā€™t know what needs to change but something does and reading previous reviews itā€™s clear that beaumont or crowell or whatever they call themselves now clearly donā€™t care abt reviews as its the same automated message to every person who did not get the care they needed.

The 1 star is for the nice staff who we encountered this time otherwise I would have had to give it 0 stars. Iā€™ve had to be at Troy ā€œCorewellā€ Beaumont ER twice within the last couple of months for my elderly family members and I have been absolutely grossed out each time at how filthy this ER has gotten. Weā€™ve been going to Troy Beaumont for decades and the past year it has gone downhill so fast. Last time I was here 3 medical staff including a doctor treated my family member for a fall. It was explained multiple times that she fell and hit the right side of her head. She was treated for the right side of her head. Yet after all that the report in My Chart said LEFT and not one of the medical staff corrected that while we were there??? Then this week we were there for another reason but this time I spoke up to the nurse who came in and commented at how filthy the floor was in the room. He said thereā€™s no time to mop between patients. What? There are obvious old spots on the floor where fluids were spilled and not wiped up then walked through because there are shoe prints all over. I took a wipe to the floor out of curiosity and it came up BLACK. Disgusting that a hospital is so unsanitary. Trash on the floor from staff taking off caps from bags or syringes and missing the trash can, paper strips from peeling off the back of adhesive and then left on the floor, not swept up between patients. I watched the housekeeping staff prepare a room for a new patient a couple times and all she did was take ONE wipe to all the primary touchpoints in the room (not furniture) and walk out. Didnā€™t sweep, didnā€™t mop, didnā€™t empty the trash. And the bathroom smelled so strong of urine and there was obviously urine on the floor and left on the toilet and some was dried on so it was old. Come on! This is a HOSPITAL! I donā€™t think we can ever go back to this ER for care. Too bad since itā€™s the closest one and itā€™s always been where we felt most comfortable. Our one doctor wonā€™t go back there after she retires she said. She said recently she was in there for a family member who was dying and ended up taking pictures of how filthy the hospital was too. So itā€™s not just me!

I called in advance to get an idea of the ER wait time for a Cat Scan to determine if I have appendicitis. The gal told me to come right in and since this is a potentially lethel issue they would get me right in, make a determination immediately and we could go from there. She also stated they were NOT very busy. WRONG! i got there and it was BUSY! They told me it would be hours before I would be seen. I asked what happens if my appendix bursts, he replied....well, at least your in the right place! WHAT??? You can die from a ruptured appendix! I wont be going back there!!

I just dropped off my grandfather with my very sick great aunt who canā€™t walk well. after helping her out of the vehicle, nobody was at the front to get us a chair, so I got my grandfather a chair. after parking i was told i could not go with them. they said they would help with my grandfather, since she could not walk well, and they did not help whatsoeverā€¦ She pushed a bit on the chair to catch her balance, and my grandfather almost fell out of the chair and dropped his cane. unbelievableā€¦ That was a bit concerning, I couldā€™ve pushed them 7 ft. Inunderstand the limit of people on protocol, but whoever the security guard is with the accent (donā€™t know how else to describe him ) that is working tonight is so unbelievably disrespectful. my great aunt is elderly, and after walking halfway through the metal detector, thereā€™s a part where you turn, and she didnā€™t know what to do, so she stood there and asked what to do , he shook his head irritable and said, ā€œkeep going!ā€ and rolled his eyes. him and the other gentleman said I could not be there in the back with them, so as i try to catch my families attention to tell them I couldnā€™t go with them they reminded me yet again the exact same thing that they just told me, like they were guarding the Royal Kingdom. i asked if could sit in the waiting room. the reply from the man with the accent was a shrug and head shakeā€¦ I was genuinely asking a question.. .no one coming into the emergency entrance is having a good time, Itā€™s stressful and some times very sorrowing, I would highly suggest you put somebody at the door that has respect for the other people around him my grandfather has congestive heart failure and is dying, I donā€™t to be treated poorly, itā€™s hard enough as it is.

I can usually expect to wait 6 to 12 hours. This causes people to risk their health and take the wait and see approach. They really need an online portal to see the average wait time and allow you to reserve your place in line.

Came in with server stomach pain, side pain, vomiting, loose stools and pounding headache. Was told ā€œyour stomach is sensitiveā€ nothing I have done has changed what it has been. I feel so unheard and under valued here today. This has been my hospital since I was 18 and today will be my last visit. They donā€™t care about the patients. They run two text they run on everyone and just send you home. No pain meds to help, just follow up with your doctor. Thanks for nothing

Dropped off my 80 year old sister-in-law in the evening because she was complaining about heart palpitations. I would have been better off dropping her off at a veterinary clinic, but they were closed. She had a long wait because no doctors were available, and when she requested the use of the restroom and something to eat, the nurses on duty were overheard saying "What is she complaining about now?" She's a diabetic and regulation of food intake is important. An EKG was performed and she was given the results because NO DOCTOR WAS AVAILABLE TO READ IT!!! She's a doctor, so she determined that there was nothing wrong with her heart and left. Good thing she was OK, otherwise I'd be writing this review for a different kind of facility.

We were in the ER today and wanted to share our experience at Troy Beaumont. Being a holiday weekend, we were ready for a long wait and possible short staffing. Although going to the ER is never on the top of my list, the entire visit was good. The registration people were friendly, triage was a breeze and only waited about 20 minutes to be brought to a room. Everyone we encountered from nurses, PA, CT scan tech were all very friendly and prompt. When we pushed our button for help, someone came right away. I am saddened to see so many poor reviews for this location since this was not the first time we have been here and typically have this same experience when we do have to come. Yes, sometimes are busier than others, and waiting can be frustrating, but having been to other area ER's as well, I would still pick Troy Beaumont over the other choices around.

ED visit for a possible kidney stone. Very disappointing. Never saw an MD. Never checked my temp. Never asked me if and what my past medical history was. Essentially put me in a room and forgot about me. Was scheduled for additional imaging that I was never told about and was not associated with what I was there for. Created anxiety because I had no idea why they were doing additional imaging. Had to rely on the ultrasound tech to tell me why one was ordered. They could not be bothered to ask if my pain was relieved; did not inform me of findings prompting additional imaging but they had no problem calling me the next day not to see how I was doing but to collect their $200 copay. As a former ED nurse of 25 years this experience was very disappointing and will most likely avoid this ED if I can help it.

Very unsure of all of the negative reviews, but in this ER, I have received the best care, from the most caring and pleasant staff this evening. They were sure to put me at ease and strive to figure out what was going on with me. I will hands down recommend this ER rather than any other one! So many caring and helpful employees here. Thank you so much to all of the Nurses, Student Nurse, Care Management and the reception ladies at the front, and of course the Dr as well!

We went to visit my sister who had a miscarriage. I would not get hold of my brother in law. They told us that they were discharged. We were waiting in the waiting room for them. To take them home. I went up to the window ask if they were still here or they went on their own. The lady said to get hold of visitors. I said cant she said to call the hospital. She said she can't give that information to me. If they are in the building or not. I ask the other lady they have been there since 4am and now its 11. I just want to know if they are here or not. She went and checked and said they were still here. Another lady came with her and you should not be here, go wait in the car, you not allow to be in waiting area. I said it say visitors and patients. She said if you keep coming up to the desk if I have to tell the security guard to kick you out. It's was my 1st time. They don't understand what people are going through when a love one is sick. You think they would know in the age they are in.

Throgmorton (don't even want to call him a doctor) is most rude emergency medicine physician I've ever met, and I've dealt with some really bad ones. He deserves to lose his job. He actually swore at me as the patient and treated me HORRIBLY. I had asked to use a phone to call family to let them know where I was, and they were letting other patients use phones and I said that because I could literally see/hear it happening, and he actually told me "you don't know s--t!" He took away my water to punish me. If you remember the story a couple years back about the EM physician in California who was swearing at a patient and lost her job because the pt's dad was recording it, this should be the case here. If I had my phone, I would have recorded him and done exactly the same. He shouldn't be allowed to touch patients. They threatened to shut my door and ignore me. He wouldnt even give me tylenol for pain and wanted me to suffer. I am considering pursuing a complaint with an agency outside of the hospital against him and the staff.

Horrible 4 hours in the lobby, people wait there for 9 (in the lobby). If they ask for water (elderly couple did) not given and totally dismissed. No explanation no help. Rude staff. Totally inappropriate and honestly worst I ever seen in my life. Me and my dad rushed my mom to ER since she had horrible headache and blood pressure 185. Sean was registering her. Rude no instructions no explanations. Told me the wait can be 9 hours. I said all we need to know it is not stroke or heart attack. I could see that he is very annoyed and angry. Instructed us that only one of us can stay. I asked if someone can translate for my mom and dad response was ā€œshe will be fineā€. My plan was to leave or take my dad home as soon as I can see that my mom is taken in and in bed. She was not able to even sit in the chair. Leaving her alone in the lobby with no one around was impossible. For my dad to sit outside in the middle of the night was insane too. 4 hours later(still in the lobby)my mom started feeling so bad that looked liked she is passing out. I ran to front desk and asked for help. The girl in the front dismissed me completely. Few minutes later when no one showed up I came up again to where both nurses were sitting. Sean took another patient to register and aggressively told me to leave. After he finished registration he showed up. Took blood pressure and screamed at me that nothing new happened and if one of us will not leave he will make sure both me and my dad are kicked out. I was not able to say a word or ask question or explain, he brought security and all three of us had to leave the hospital. I am just totally crushed. How rude, humiliating this was. I am in shock of what have happened to normal care for people at this ER. You treated people in this ER like it is prison. How many similar reviews should be written in order for management to look what is going on there? Itā€™s not a single case. Read reviews in the last three months.
