I cannot stress how much I love this place!! Their inclusivity is astounding, yet not tokenizing. Inclusive, but not colorblind (or blind to any differences). Bartenders work SUPER HARD and are some of the most down to earth people ever. This is a place you can go to if you want to hang with friends and make friends with locals as well!! Incredible space and energy, one of my top ten favorite places ever.

Can’t even tell you how special this place is but I’ll try. It’s owned and operated by the sweetest woman Tia, who is the most hospitable host. Drinks are always delicious but my fav is the frenchie. Bumbos is the kind of bar that you can spend with strangers on Christmas day away from those family members that drive you crazy or a late night by yourself and get that night cap you wanted. They offer pool and and pleasant patio on as well. 10/10 would recommend. Come as you are and you will be happy you stopped by.

Tia and her staff are amazing, kind, inclusive and very friendly. Tia has created one of my favorite bars in Detroit. When I opened a bar a few miles away she came to visit and welcome us to the industry. Her and her staff are part of the reason I'm proud to say I'm from Detroit. So thank you for your hard work.

It had been 5 years since my last belly up at Bumbos, but I'm glad it's still kicking. A proper bar with a proper pour. Nice staff, laid back atmosphere, good tunes and pet friendly patio. They also have a wide foot rest at the bar which amazingly some bars omit altogether. If I lived in Hamtramck, I would live in Bumbos

Very unwelcoming environment. I just closed a tour with my band and this place was recommended to us. We were looking for a great night out but the staff was rude and unfriendly. They also refused to play music for their patrons to enjoy (it was basically inaudible) and they apparently serve no doubles. They then asked us to leave while we were just waiting for our Uber at the door while they closed up. It was an all over strange vibe with bad service.

My friends and I were really looking forward to coming to this place. We are from Toronto and had multiple people tell us to check it out. We were greeted by very unfriendly staff (after leaving very generous tips) a very strange vibe with no music, I will not go back and will not recommend this bar to anyone.

Stopped in for my first visit Saturday. Great atmosphere, top notch service and an overall great experience. I will be back.

Best bar in Detroit for locals. Well curated corner dive. You can get a cheap beer, a craft beer or a nice cocktail. Also lots of great non-alcoholic beverage choices. Everyone is nice, and if not they're probably not local. Don't even need reviews cause iykyk, but had to say it cause any negative reviews seem like a personal problem. FYI food: If you're looking for food, they only have some bar snacks, and occasional food pop-ups. There's no full service kitchen.

Unfortunately had a bad experience here. The staff encouraged us to leave and there was no encouragement to buy drinks or have a good time. Very sad experience, don’t recommend. 😞

Needs better music. Jukebox is horrible. Music is too quiet. Otherwise, it's fun. Pool table. Patio.

Friendly bar tenders. Great place to go after a DCFC game. The beer selection is fantastic with very reasonable prices.

Great laid back but classy spot in Hamtramck! A different vibe and feel than most Hamtown bars but it still fits in! They also make really great specialty cocktails and do a pop-up on Wednesday. And Brian and Tia are great!

Probably my favorite bar in Hamtramck. Hell, one of my favorite bars in Detroit! Very cool, diverse crowd and the bartenders are really cool. I felt at home here. I should've bought a t-shirt!

Non-inclusive hipster bar, don’t expect to feel welcomed unless you’re a devoted hipster with band shirts you don’t listen to and tattoos you don’t know the meaning of, rip Edit in response to owner: I came into your bar whole heartedly ready to include and enjoy my time, but I don’t have tattoos, and felt quite judged and met with big ego from another patron. I’m saying the environment isn’t inclusive because when I brought up that I felt disrespected in a kind and gentle way I was met with more ego, mocked and then told to find another bar. I’m sorry that some of your patrons are non inclusive, that’s great that you want to include everyone but I’m only reviewing my experience. Bartenders and management can only do so much, the environment is made up by the people in it, and I don’t have enough of an ego to keep up with that. I appreciate being put on blast on Instagram too, that really reflects your inclusivity. No hard feelings though, we’re all working through a weird world right now.

Tia is an amazing human and I love stopping in to see her beautiful face. The bartenders are so welcoming, the drinks are fantastic, the outdoor space is gorgeous and they have OCHO. Couldn’t ask for more!

Such an amazing place. The clientele, the staff, and the building itself are all magical. Their menu includes their standards as well as rotating cocktails. I highly recommend a spicy branch. For a chill night any day of the week, stop in and settle in.

Bumbo's is always such a welcoming place where you're bound to run into friends and regulars. The women's pool on Wednesdays is always a great environment for beginners to have the space to learn and an awesome addition to the schedule. Their cocktails are always amazing and the bartenders are very talented and knowledgeable - they're willing to make you anything you want! I'll be coming back over and over <3
