I would say hands down, the best ham sandwich in southeast Michigan. Also the best corned beef sandwich. I love both of them. The soups are both very good. Lots of ingredients, so they are thick, not watery. The menu is limited; Ham or corned beef sandwich, bean or split pea soup. Canned pop and chips are available. To me the limited menu is not a problem. I go there for the ham or corned beef. I'm not looking for other stuff. The ham comes from Dearborn sausage, it's the best.

The best ham sandwich. Like your mother would make the day after Easter. I don't think there are more than 5 options on the menu, ham, corned beef, 2 soups and chips. Plan to leave stuffed or with a snack for the next day.

Nothing fancy here. Nothing fancy needed. Lunch at Lile’s is a great modern-day experience of classic Americana. At a time when chains and franchises are reaching deep to fabricate “experiential” opportunities, this is a modern classic. And the food is great, too!

My husband and I stopped here to grab sandwiches before going to Greenfield Village and we were happy we took our son's advice. (He used to frequent Lile's when he was a student at U of M Dearborn.) We ordered one ham sandwich and one corned beef and split them; mustard and sliced pickles were served on the side. Simple but so good! The rolls they use are fantastic, they're soft and they hold up well. Both sandwiches were delicious; I preferred the corned beef slightly over the ham but my husband liked the ham a bit more so it's basically a tie for us. We just bought a membership to GV/HFM so we'll be back for sure!

I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. I’ve lived in 4 states and hands down, their ham sandwich and soups are the best! The owner and staff always make you feel like you’re family.

Discovered Lile's back in 1978 while working at Dearborn Assembly Plant and living in East Dearborn, excellent food!

So very sad that the last day is Friday, the 30th, but pleased that I was able to get both corned beef and ham sandwiches to go, a final time.

Ive been coming here for over 30 years. Best sandwiches on earth. Harry is a great guy and even remembers loyal customers fro. Decades ago. The world will be a lesser place if this place ever closes. Just great eats. Full stop.

The first time I ate here was when dad brought me for lunch, he was a local truck driver and I was along as his helper, this was in the 60's. Best ham sandwich I ever ate. He also knew the owner Lile as a friend. Now I'm in my 70's and still go there, best ham sandwich in town, nothing fancy, just a great meal at a fair price. Lile's Ham Sandwich has been a favorite of mine for years. This is Ham the old fashioned way, like back in the day when your mother use to bake it. Add a delicious bowl of old fashioned Bean or Split Pea Soup, some Crackers, and a Soda, and you will have all that you can handle. Grab some Potato Chips too if you like. And they have good Corned Beef also. They are on the NORTH side of Michigan Avenue just one city block WEST of SCHAEFER. Parking is in the rear. You can dine inside or take it to go. Down to earth people in a quaint environment. Small place with limited food. Choices. Best ham sandwich around. Very filling. Prices are reasonable. Friendly folks.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. Split pea soup had 2 pieces of ham in it and was FLAVORLESS. Corned beef was cut wrong and could not even bite it. Expensive waste of money. 🧐

If you're going through Dearborn and you want a extremely good corned beef sandwich this is where you need to go. They only serve corned beef sandwich, ham sandwich shaved off the bone with your choice of being or split pea soup.

Limited menu of Ham, Corned Beef and Turkey Sandwiches along with a couple soups & chips. But you go here for the Ham. It's hands down the best ham sandwich I've ever had; thick sliced when you order and served on an poppyseed roll (with the option of rye bread or swiss cheese too). The pickles they serve on the side are surprisingly good as well.

Got a ham sandwich and I am stuffed! My son got the corned beef and loved it and the pea soup had huge chunks of ham in it. Everyone was full and happy with their meals!!
