This Meijer gets three stars for entertainment. Visiting this Meijer was an experience. Upon entering I noticed there were no carts available. At this Meijer you find your carts randomly scattered throughout the aisles. Some of the carts that you find are empty and ready to use, while others are filled with groceries. It's like there were a bunch of shoppers that disappeared mid shopping as though Thanos snapped his fingers. Thanos does not discriminate though because he clearly got half the staff too. The shortage of cashiers is apparent as you have to move in and out of lines while shopping. The lines extend down the aisles. Thanos must have gotten the self checkout registers too. Only about 50% work. Would I shop there again? No but I recommend the experience for anyone who wants a laugh.

Always empty shelves. Always empty produce. Never any employees, and if they are present, they all have AirPods in and a bad attitude. Never any shopping carts available. Bottle return seems to consistently be closed. You can always count on at least 3 broken self checkout machines. And you can absolutely be sure to count on having a line halfway down the store, waiting for checkout - doesn't matter self check out or what consistently seems to be 2 open registers, no matter what time of day. This place is always a headache so always plan for that.

This Meijer s was never open 24hrs but I do miss suburbs being open 24. This store is usually well equipped. I know shipments and deliveries have been less sometimes they are out of things and wish the re stock was quicker. They do a lot of business and on peak hours and holidays{of course weekends} this place is very busy

I hate Meijer for allowing this store to operate like this. This is a complete slap in the face to the residents that patronize this establishment. It’sa shame. I’m sure today is my last shopping at Meijer. I’ll just have to be more proactive with my Amazon prime. Would give it zero stars. And it’s not the people it’s the operations. Disgusting how businesses operate in Detroit.

This location is very poorly stocked. Also restocking an item may take a couple of weeks. Just let's one know that someone doesn't do their job well. A store should be out of groceries as much as they are.

I truly enjoy Meijer because the store is really spacious. I also enjoy Meijer because of the multiple check lanes. The staff is kind and always smiling. The store prices are a little more expensive than a Krogers. However, Meijer has more bakery options for Diabetics (no sugar added). But, not a lot of no sodium can vegetables options.

Clean and well kept store, great selection, always stocked. Friendly staff. Only complaint is that EVERYONE uses the self check out with way too many items per person which makes it extremely congested and completely slows down the whole system and ruins the point and efficiency of self check out. And there’s only one cashier to check you out if you do have a lot of items. We had ONE item to purchase but there was literally 30 people in line for self check out with carts full of items so we put our item back and left. We’ll pick a less busier time to visit again but some efforts should be made to remedy the check out issues. Otherwise great job Meijer!

No store should have a produce section as horrible as this one here was. There was no good choices of lettuce. And I love my vegetables! I was not satisfied. And they didn't have a great selection of Waters. No Nestle pure life. The one there has two missing...smh.

I'm not sure if this is true but i feel like this specific Meijer has the absolute best clearance items as well as the best clearance prices. Unless its just by coincidence that every time we shop at this location it just so happens to be some extra clearance day sale or something? Pharmacy is always pretty quick as well. When my medication was on back order because there was a shortage. The pharmacist was understanding and accommodating and didn't give me a hard time answering my questions over the phone instead of making me come in or tell me they weren't allowed to give that information like most other pharmacies were doing. Because what each pharmacy does is always up to the pharmacist and this one chose to be very kind and helpful and understood that gas cost alot of money these days and the time it takes and how precious that time is and didn't make me waste mine and I'm very appreciative of that

It’s so sad to see this store slowly declining from its heyday. Unorganized shelves, empty inventory, uninterested employees. It’s one of the last places I hope to have to go for shopping.

I didn't used to like Meijer because the prices were high and the lines were always long. Recently when all the other stores prices went up Meijer didn't seem to go up as much and now Meijer is average. Now Meijer has become the better big store too visit. I used to like Walmart but the shipping experience is more better at Meijer. Who knows if this will remain but in my experience it's so.

Throughout COVID19 I began shopping ritually at Meijer and found it extremely resourceful, offering outstanding quality and more than food. It was therapeutic as well as a perfect source.

Great little Meijer right outside downtown Detroit! Mostly food and drinks. They have toiletries and some health and beauty products. 💚💯💯

This is a great location, Meijer. It is a super Meyer, so it has an extensive selection of all the things that you could need. It was well organized and clean and the fresh produce was pretty decent. I think I’m most excited about it seeing what this does and how this store will evolve overtime as the Michigan State fair grounds, becomes back active with Amazon employees as well. Easier to find clear directions and people were willing to help when I needed some assistance.

Ariana was really helpful today. I hope this positive review finds it way to her. I had pickup service and she waited late to make sure I got my order. What service! Really appreciate the pickup option- saves a ton of time and is free if you order over a certain amount.

The online order pickup is a joke. I have been charged more than $34 in my last three orders for items I did not receive. When I called the store they said they couldn't do anything about it and to contact customer support online. I have done this and still have not heard back from them. This is atrocious. Especially as the cost of everything has gone up and Meijer prices are higher than every other store and they could care less. I will not give them another dime. Horrible. Horrible management.

Grocery pick up experience was horrible. The workers fulfilled less than half of my order and didn't even tell me, thankfully I checked my email before pulling off. I then had to go inside the store and finish my shopping. The items that they didn't fulfill were on the shelf, fully stocked. I wanted to try something new, won't do that again.

Love this Meijer. Always have! I especially love the deli (and the young people who work there), the bakery (and the amazing women who work there) and the super helpful ladies at the self checkout line. What I don't particularly like is the changes in design and location of the store. It is so hard to find things and they seem to be scattered or rearranged strangely. Other than that, it is a great store.

I’m honestly surprised that this location gets ANY positive reviews. It’s either understaffed or nobody takes any pride. Dirty. But what bothers me the most is watching older folks with mobility issues walk all the way inside, realize there are NO carts and then have to turn around and wander the parking lot looking for a cart. I feel bad for them and often give up the cart that I just wandered around looking for to them. How are there never any carts? Then there are two registers open out of 17 and the self checkout. People are lined up to the middle of the store waiting to checkout. This doesn’t just happen on occasion. It’s a daily occurrence. Detroiters deserve better. Is the standard for this location lower simply because of the location? It makes me sad.

The produce section is never fresh almost everything is wilted rotten or just looks gross. The bakery section is one of the smallest I've seen. But on the positive note most of the employees are very polite and the store stays mostly clean with the occasional mess here and there. The bathrooms have been clean every rime I have used them. And the real.reason for the 3 stars it takes a minimum of 30 minutes to get threw check out doesn't matter if you choose self check out or a cashier expect to be in line for about 30 to 40 minutes.

Frequently busy, but conveniently located. Checkout is a lot easier since they improved the self-checkout line. Store is usually clean and well-stocked, but if you arrive at the end of a busy day... well, it looks like a big box store that's been picked over too much. PROTIP: Bring a cart in from the lot. The main issue with this store is the cartwell is often empty.

At least this location almost filled the order. Left out all the frozen items. Got charged. The Telegraph store didn’t even bother to fill- had to wait 40 minutes. This place-8 mile- gave me 6 completely bruised and brown pomegranates. Shameful. I won’t be using the on line ordering anymore…

Umm depending on the time of day you go can depend on your experience, I am very grateful for the Credit Union branch that was added. This will for sure not only bring me here more but I'm sure other Credit union account holders, cause finding co op atms can be a pain. I usually find everything I come in for...so yes it's okay, considering it's in the city, it's on the borderline.... and it's In a high traffic area, that will only get more traffic soon. Enjoy before Amazon takes presence!

😐 Good with some caveats. For the most shopping is a decent experience until you get to the cashiers. Either they have an attitude, or they are inept or a combination of both. With some good cashiers this store could be something special.

👍 In between. Convenient, wide selection of foods and nice people working here. It is in between a full grocery store and a convenience shop. Much more than a 7-11 but not as much as a Meijer. Surprisingly, their fresh produce and butcher counter is awesome. A very convenient place if you live nearby...

😠 The prices are ridiculous, the cashiers aren't friendly and the food isn't good quality. Just because it's in Detroit doesn't mean it has to be substandard!
