Very historic. There's not much to the building for the first 3 floors but once you reach the last one it's a different story. There's railing and equipment everywhere. I made a video recently on the fisher body plant. Look up frontier resolution on youtube to watch. If you plan on going here please be careful. There's many spots where the floor is weak and many where it has given out. Don't recommend coming here alone even though I did.

Amazing place for urban exploration, however be weary and protect yourself: "A 2004 survey by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality found “asbestos materials, lead waste, industrial equipment, storage tanks, other solid / hazardous debris and wastes, and contaminated soils and concrete” in and around the plant. Further studies found the presence of arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cyanide, lead, mercury, nickel, silver, thallium, and PCB’s."

I thought Jeff was extremely professional. He decided to show us around with a quick tour and saw some great sights while we followed. He followed along the wall and showed us the restaurant which had great ambience and equally delicious food. Next he directed us to the immense art murals on the wall custom designed by the Detroit's finest. Definitely worth visiting at night for the lights.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place sooner considering how many times I’ve been in here. Unfortunately I think the window of opportunity may quickly be closing like with a lot of Detroit’s other old abandoned factories in its efforts to lock them down and secure them. The last time I was in here (which was about a year ago) they had welded steal plates up over the stairways to prevent people from getting up to the roof but since it’s Detroit someone just used a grind and cut a hole big enough to slip through. I’ve been in nearly every abandoned building in the city along with ones in many other big city’s around the US and I have to say this is one of my favorites and judging by its popularity it’s others as well. You can find some of the best street art Detroit has to offer inside here and up on the roof but unfortunately if it was visible from the outside(meaning the roads) then it’s been scrubbed/painted over by the city in its campaign to clean up the city’s image. It’s only a matter of time before this building is either demo’d or properly sealed off like they did with the Train Station or the Bablo Harbor building(sort of lol) at least that’s my prediction from what I’ve begun to notice over the past few years or so. As for any old history buffs wanting to get a souvenir symbolizing Fisher in some way you might as well forget about it that’s all been gone many many moons ago!!

Closed in 1984, this is an amazing place to see what was a part of Detroit history. Spend some time and really explore.....probably worth going with someone....can be a little spooky!

Awesome place to explore. Go to the roof and get some sweet photos of the city. The 5th floor still has paint and dry booths in it. Pretty sweet.

An amazing Abando with many floors new canvas space constantly opening up exapesially on roof always a magic experience here .learn new things everytime I go there.Definerly in top 5 industrial abandos not only for majorly epic adventures but top 5 safer abandos as well.its almost as if the police leave it up and place bait cars to learn and listen and have a place for delinquents to gather together rather then a million unsafe dangerous ones. Either way I love this place it will be in my brain even on the next realm and plain.

Great urban exploration site. No security to hassle you. Watch your steps as the integrity of building is starting to deteriorate.

👍 This is an automobile manufacturing plant. Not sure why people post rants and raves about the brand or GM management here. GM cars like my Buick Lucerne were made here. Drove by on a long trip to see where my car was born, and as I was unannounced, understandably they couldn’t care less my Buick mad...
