Amazing architecture and part of history. Attended a beautiful wedding at this church. I had the opportunity to look and enjoy the architecture of this beautiful Church the previous day during rehearsal. If not I would have been so distracted looking around the entire church during that wedding the next day. Must visit. Now a plee for help. Please donate what you can towards preserving and maintaining this historic church when you visit. Currently there are volunteers helping out and they were the ones that helped us during rehearsal and the wedding. Thank you ladies.

Healing begins from within, and it takes work. I met 2 beautiful people today, Eric and Kris, they welcomed me into the church with open arms, and allowed me to peacefully fulfill my spiritual needs today. Such and amazing experience. Kris gave me a book called rediscovering the saints, by author Matthew Kelly, I think she could feel that I was finding my way back, and that this book would help me. I made a donation for a candleπŸ•― I felt happy to receive these blessings, they also offer holy water so I will be returning with a beautiful bottle to collect some. β›² Eric gave me the warmest hug I've felt in years, he was really warm and accepting he had the spirit of love and acceptance all over him. He made sure to make me feel welcome and asked me to return anytime I wanted to. Eric and Kris touched my soul. I am so grateful for my experience today.

I can not describe how beautiful and serene this church is....the pictures will explain its beauty and architecture. The atmosphere was great....I attended wedding of a family member. The ceremony was conducted in a disciplined and time bound manner that included beautiful singing and readings. The Pastor spoke so well about the meaning of "marriage" explaining the duty and responsibility that comes with it for both the bride and the groom. It was a wonderful experience.

My husband and I chose this church to get married in at first because it is the most beautiful church we have ever seen. Though the views of the church are beautiful there are many more reasons we chose it. We are both Polish and it meant a lot to us and our families. The volunteers who helped us with our special day, Therese and Carol, were so sweet and so helpful! If you want a show stopping church, I couldn’t recommend it enough! I attended the 12pm mass for The Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas. The church, built in the late 1800s, is a beautiful Gothic atmosphere. A lovely parishioner noticed that my friends and I were new. She brought us the sheets that were on a table and explained that the prayers were said after mass. The church and mass are very traditional. It brought me back to my childhood when we approached the altar and knelt to receive the Eucharist. Also, I so happy that I could light a candle and pray after mass. Many churches have removed the votives. A welcoming parish.

Wow what can I say but wow.... I was at the pierogi festival for my first time. Absolutely great food and the best Polka Band I've ever heard. I must say Polish people are HAPPY and like to party. Will be back next year. ❀

I was blessed to visit this church today. I was lucky that I could get in and admire everything about it, and explaining to my husband who is blind.I was amazed at everything, from the altars, the columns, and all the art from a very old time european church. Thank you

One of the most beautiful Catholic Churches in the Detroit. The Pierogi Festival of 2022 was magnetic in every aspect. Live music, dancing and delicious foods. Great fun!

i called here today to see what it would look like to get married here. and let me tell you, do not even waste your time unless you wanna be COMPLETELY JUDGED by all the church people here. be prepared to lie about YOUR WHOLE RELATIONSHIP with your fiance or theyll deny you and keep your deposit too. they will make you feel like you are not catholic if you do not act perfect. everything that the bible is against. beautiful church, real ugly people.

My daughter was married here in July, 2008. This church is absolutely magnificent, the wedding was beautiful and the entire atmosphere of the Holy Mass, the marriage ceremony ~ EVERYthing was respectful, true to the Liturgy, and absolutely perfect in every detail. What a wonderful experience from that day that I will always remember. I see that they have the Traditional Latin Mass there and whenever I am able I will certainly be in attendance ~ we live in the suburbs so it will be a drive, but that's not important. God bless...and may He keep this parish in His Sacred Heart always!!

An absolutely beautiful church. Everything you would expect in a cathedral style church and the stained glass windows are a highlight.

Incredibly beautiful church but it wasn't the most welcoming community. It was my first time seeing an actual argument breakout in the confession line over where the line started. The pastor needs to make it clear somehow, but the people also don't need to be adding stuff to their list right before Confession.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I was on vacation for a few days in Michigan and stayed about 25 minutes away from here. I just had to see for myself the beauty of this place and I was not disappointed. I attended a high mass for Assumption of Our Lady and was blown away by the chants, the organ, the overall reverence of this TLM....

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The original Polish Catholic Church in Detroit, too bad they don't do mass there much more. Sweetest Heart down the street was a split off from Albertus. Dominic Kolasinski was a very charismatic man and took have the congregation with him to found Sweetest Heart.
