My parish since I was born, love it, a feeling of peace and tranquility every time I go there. Beautiful church, now a federal historical building, built by the people of the old Polish neighborhood.

A gem still standing amongst the rubble of Detroit. If you get the chance to enter this normally closed beautiful historical church…do so! It’s well worth taking a peak inside! Beautiful Roman style pillars and ceilings. I had the great pleasure to literally pull the church bells and hear them sing. So much history here. Beautiful angel statues are spread on every inch of this place and even more beautiful murals and stain glass.

One of the most beautiful historic Churches in Detroit. The original Polish Catholic church from about 1882. It remains as a historic location and people are actively working on keeping the church in good shape.

Beautiful church and its such an honor to live across from it and see its beauty everyday. Hopefully I'll get to attend mass or at least go on a tour of the church one day.

This is the 1st Polish catholic church in Detroit. Obviously mass was in Polish. Almost a full house. The choir sang beautifully. Very uplifting & the church is beautiful.

Pretty amazing and creepy. Not sure who maintains the church but it's very beautiful and must take a lot of upkeep

First church to serve the growing Polish community. Founded 1872. Was the largest parish in the state of Michigan for a long time.

OMG!! This is one of the most Arcatechchial beautiful Catholic Churches I have ever seen. The love that these Polish immigrants had for their religion is created in St. Albertas! It brought tears to my eyes to walk in and feel the love fir thus church! There are 3 in this area that are just irreplaceable! St.Albertas was disowned by the Catholic Arch Diocese..so the great strong people of their faith and many others that want to help this church survive have been doing so! St.Albertas just celebrated it's 150 yr Anniversary !! What a beautiful church to pray in get married in to go to church..Once a month they open it for mass.. They need all the help they can be Blessed with!! Once you see it you'll understand what I mean. This is one of the 3 beautifully churches in that area.."Historical " Go see it! Send a contribution to help this church survive! We need Prayers and a foundation in this world! Everyone go back to Church!

On July 1st I attended a super eclectic festival that included live music, art, food, & tours of this historic church. From what I could gather it seems like this is an annual event, and if you get the chance, I would definitely recommend this family friendly event.

The street is okay but the church is awesome you ought to stop by sometimes on Sunday mass of course But not right now because the situation doesn't call for Gathering more than 10 people.

The church is not open every weekend, masses are held usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Be sure to visit the Sweetest Heart of Mary church nearby.
