First time visit to this location. My party ordered a Detroiter with Blue Cheese Crumbles (on half). The pizza was good and prepared as requested. The Buddy Bread was delicious with the Mozzarella Cheese on top ($1.00 extra). In addition, the customer service was pleasant and professional. We sent roughly $35.00 for our order. Overall, my party enjoyed the food and the friendly customer service.

Our first time trying Detroit style pizza in Detroit (Dearborn) and it was so good! Probably my favorite type of pizza now :) We got the Super 6 mile, Spicy Italian and the Margherita pizza. Definitely one of the highlights of our 4th of July weekend in Michigan. Happy to have successfully checked it off the list!!

Buddy’s in Dearborn is an ode to Metro Detroit iconography. Decked out in souvenirs and photography showing the evolution from the early days to present is a scene. Now, as far as food they are known for their pizza. Lastly, they were accommodating allowing us to bring a cake for a birthday celebration.

We searched for the best pizza in Detroit, and we got the best pizza in Detroit! So glad we ended up staying near a Buddy’s Pizza, it’s one of those must-dos on any visit to the area. Service was very good and so was the food. Was pretty busy overall at lunchtime on a holiday but everything came quick and to order. Very happy we ate here!

Yummy! Buddy’s Pizza was everything I imagined it would be. I had tried “Detroit Style” pizza in Louisiana and was not impressed, so I immediately knew I needed to try the real deal the next time I visited Detroit. This particular location is in the beautiful downtown Dearborn area. I ordered online and picked the order up. Parking was decent in the back of the restaurant, but there are two entrances..one for dine in and the other for carry out. I picked the wrong door, but the staff nicely directed me to the right area. The pizzas were hot upon pickup and I only had a short ride back to the hotel. I ordered the Detroit Public TV (2 types of pepperoni both under and on top of the cheese) and a create your own with a bunch of toppings. For me, the Detroit Public TV was the star of the show. The edges were perfectly crispy and the pizza was delicious overall. The others liked the create your own better, but I appreciated the simplicity of the pepperoni. Overall, I highly recommend Buddy’s and have recently learned that they ship pizzas across the U.S. They will definitely be hearing from me soon!

First time at Buddy's Pizza and can't wait to visit them again. The venue was really nice and well decorated and we had the option of inside or outside dining. We ordered the Medium Size Antipasto and their house Italian dressing made it awesome! Me and my son ordered the Detroit Style Large and whoa that was huge. We did manage to finish and it was really delicious. Our Service was excellent. Thank you Buddy's for a great Dinner.

Disappointed with my last few trips to this Buddy’s location. Today it almost looks like they put the pizza in the box upside down and we had to carve out the soggy squares. I love eating cheesy paper pizza… At this quality and at over $3/square, I won’t be visiting this location again. Now if you’re looking for a good Buddy’s experience, the downtown Detroit location was awesome!

I stopped in for an early dinner on a Monday, the server I had was friendly and made me feel right at home! The food was served quickly and was delicious ! I chose the 4 square and was able to take 2 pieces home, but had I been hungry I could’ve ate a 4 square on my own.

This was my first time trying some authentic Detroit-style pizza, and it was fantastic. I tried a half Detroiter and half original pepperoni. I also had a Caesar salad. Everything was delicious, and even the smaller pizza was more than I could finish with the salad. Tima was a very friendly waitress and was actually the reason I tried the Detroiter (I’m glad I did). Will certainly be back next time I’m in town.

We had such an awesome experience at the Buddy's Pizza in Dearborn. Our server Crystal was beyond amazing as well as the food and drinks She went above and beyond to make sure we were totally satisfied. Will definitely be back in the near future ,thank you so much!!!

Buddy’s Pizza is located in a nice neighborhood in downtown Dearborn. They have plenty of parking with a public parking lot adjacent to the Pizzeria. Once inside the hostess was quick with a smile and got us seated. The smells of fresh pizza filled the air and really got me excited to see the menu. Our waiter, Noah, was handling several tables but was over to see us within just a couple of minutes to get our drink order, and offer us apps. We ordered Buddy’s famous garlic bread sticks (pics below). They came fairly quickly. As a person who enjoys garlic, I struggled to taste the garlic once I used some of the marinara sauce. The marinara sauce is a 10 out of 10! Amazing flavors and really made the garlic breadsticks a winner. The bread was very fresh and enjoyable. The menu has something for everyone and it all seemed fairly priced. Great description of the fresh ingredients and made choosing pretty straight forward. My buddy and I each ordered our own 4 square pizzas. They came hot and fresh in about 10-15 minutes. The toppings were plentiful, the cheese was amazing! YES! The cheese is so fresh you can actually taste the cheese. The sauce is incredible and placed on each square in the unique ways of Detroit square pizza. Very filling and and the crust lives up to its reputation. It was very filling so I was able to take some home with us. Our waiter took great care of us. He kept our glasses filled, checked on us a couple time, brought extra napkins and seemed fairly friendly. Over all a great experience! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars (or 5 cheese shakers on my rating scale) is because I would have liked to taste the fresh garlic on the garlic bread sticks. I would definitely recommend Buddy’s Pizza and I would encourage you to bring both friends and family here. Kids would do well here and easily find something on the menu. In total, I give it 4 cheese shakers! 🫙🫙🫙🫙

Best Detroit style pizza hands down! I came from Canada to try it and it did not let me down. The staff was also extremely kind and welcoming, they refilled our drinks, helped us order and were super friendly the whole time.

I recently dined at this Buddy’s pizza shop and it was an absolute delight. The pizza's thick, crispy crust was a revelation, providing the perfect balance of crunch and tenderness. The gooey layer of cheese and thoughtfully chosen toppings created a flavor explosion in every bite. The staff's commitment to quality and their warm, friendly service made the experience even more enjoyable. Being from the Chicago area, I had to finally try Detroit-style pizza while here on business. It wasn’t that bad at all and I really enjoyed it. Atmosphere of the restaurant in Dearborn is very fun. I look forward to coming back soon.

Took an hour and twenty minutes for a 4-square pizza carry out. Quoted 30 minutes, but when I arrived all I did was watch everyone else come and go with their orders. They must've had insider knowledge about the real timeframe. Wish I would've known.

Way way too expensive for what we get. Had an antipasto salad very light on the meat and cheese.. sister had mac and cheese and a coke and it was like $20 server was very nice

I googled best true Detroit Pizza and this was one of the first to come up. It lived up to its reviews. Delicious pizza! Great service and great atmosphere. If you go to the Henry Ford museum there’s a coupon on the back of the tickets (if you get in person printed tix) for $4 off.

Buddy's Pizza in Dearborn! I was craving some cheesy goodness and decided to give them a call for pick up. It was a race against the clock, as I dialed their number at 9:15 pm and they were closing at 10 pm. I felt like I was in an action movie, trying to save my hunger from impending doom! But fear not, as the pizza gods were on my side that day. The pizza was delicious, and the salad was a surprisingly tasty sidekick. I was impressed! And let me tell you, the staff was the cherry on top of this whole experience. They were super nice on the phone and in person during pick up. It's always a relief when the people handling your food are friendly and not secretly plotting against you. All in all, if you're in the mood for some scrumptious pizza and a side of good vibes, I highly recommend Buddy's Pizza in Dearborn. And don't forget to call ahead if you're in a rush - it's like a thrilling race against time, but with a delicious prize waiting for you at the finish line!

The original Detroit Square pizza was AMAZING! Wisconsin brick cheese was soooooo stretchy, crust was super delicious, sauce was fantastic. It was such a great experience through American's favorite food pizza!

We stopped by after being at the Henry Ford Museum and we're looking for authentic Detroit pizza. The staff was very nice and helpful and our order was done very quickly. We had takeout and had to suffer the drive back to our hotel smelling the delicious smell of our pizza without being able to try it. We were not disappointed! Their crust is crispy and delicious. What we were smelling in the car was the spicy Italian with the tomato basil sauce. SO DELICIOUS! We would definitely recommend this place!

Buddy’s is a classic. My family & I went for my little sister’s 10th birthday. Our server Jillian went above and beyond for us! She made the experience awesome at all times ,even when the kitchen had issues with our order. When our time was up and our food was packed, I had to double back & add to her tip. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy buddy’s & her service again!

The Detroit style rectangular pizza is surprisingly light and fluffy. Absolutely must visit place for Canadians and other foreigners. Do not leave Detroit without trying this pizza. Warning: Eat in restaurant while fresh, this ages poorly for takeaway.

Had a large family party. Reservation went off without a hitch. Our server was fantastic. (I feel bad, I forgot her name and she deserves personal recognition from Sunday 3/6, noon reservation, in the "room".) Food was absolutely fantastic. We were celebrating a surprise return home from out of town family, a birthday and a work promotion. We also had a lot of little ones. Our server was quick, attentive, very patient and went above and beyond with extras (desserts on the house) for the celebrated people of the day....and that just really brought the whole experience together. It was such a nice gesture, in the happiness my family was sharing that day. That particular room holds many special memories of loved ones that are no longer with us. Being in that room Sunday felt like it allowed our family to share our happy, with the people we really miss, who used to be part of our Buddy's parties. Your server did an outstanding job of making our experience so effortless, that we were able to enjoy our time together as a family, in a place that is very special to us. Thank you to the Buddy's server who made our visit so great, the kitchen staff who made our food so well that everyone ate happy and the bar staff who made the lunch cocktail mix the perfect weight! It was a great Sunday! Highly recommend.

A top five Detroit style pizza. Always consistent and flavorful. The crust is perfect. Beer is cold and the antipasto salad is one of the best.

Buddy's pizza one of the most famous pizza restaurants in Detroit area, nice place, good service, always busy, clean, food is ok to good, my personal opinion if I am looking for special pizza taste, I will pick a different restaurant. But the full package, location, food style and service makes it convenient. I recommend this place.

THE BEST GLUTEN FREE PIZZA EVERRRRR!!!! The service was fantastic and the pizza was the most delicious buttery flaky fluffy crusted pizza ever!!! The server was very friendly and accommodating for my gluten allergy. The cider on draft was ice cold. Perfection! I will be back if I am ever in the Detroit area again.
