Something told me to turn around when I walked in, but I regretfully did not. The service here was sub par, as the lady taking orders was very condescending to an elderly lady who had questions about what she was purchasing. The server seemed to have an attitude with each person that came in (Southern Hospitality out of the window). I spent over $80 on food that wasn't anything to be desired. I could have done better at a Coney Island. The waffles were soggy, chicken was dry, and I was told that my order couldn't be fulfilled the way it shows on the menu because they don't serve chicken strips anymore, after I placed my order and was paying. I get that restaurants are short staffed during this time but this was just bad. I'll never go again.

First impressions are lasting. My wife and daughter have been here before. So overall our second visit. Semi busy on a Sunday morning. Seated immediately. Our server's demeanor was pleasant. Food was slightly better than good. I thought the waffles were outstanding. Light, fluffy and tasty. My wife and daughter enjoyed their meals as well. Overall service could be stepped up a notch then they would have something special. Worth a try if you're in the area. Wouldn't go out of my way to get here.

I ordered the oxtails. They only gave me 3 of them and one of them had no meat on it. I'm giving 2 stars because one of the two girls at the register was extremely nice. I was curious about the place but this was an awful visit. This was $17.

I waited 25 mins for a pork chop the size of my fist that was overcooked. Along with the small portions in the dinner, came an even smaller piece of cornbread. I can't believe that even left the kitchen. I haven't been here in a year. This was my 2nd time coming and to be fair, I came for breakfast & dinner. The food was still mediocre. Just disappointed.

Descent restaurant for southern comfort food. Revised: subsequent visits have caused me to downgrade my rating. Consistency is the life blood of a restaurant. If on several trips the quality is less than your expectations the restaurant falls into the category of cheap and acceptable. Many restaurants aim for that goal to survive competition. Instead of innovating.

The young lady who served my family was terrific. The food was decent. Too bad they brought my food on a plate that was damaged. Not particularly sure if it should have been, however it was. Rice for the liver and onions were undercooked. The wings could have had a bit more seasioning.

Me & my wife travelled to Michigan during Memorial Day weekend from We decided to try Sweet Magnolias Restaurant. Our server Areion was friendly and super cheerful. She told us the history of the restaurant and explained some of the different meals that Sweet Magnolias serves. We ordered Ox Tails & Catfish Etouffee. Both items were served hot and both tasted outstanding. We will eat here whenever we return to this area.
