I switched in July from Beaumont to Childrens because i thought it will be a better , more children oriented hospital. So far i had a really bad experience ( dont want to say Horrible) with making appointments, trying to reach out nurses or getting a call back from them. It seems like they dont care and they will call back whenever they feel like. One time i was calling for 3 days , left multiple messages and finally got a phone call back. Trying to make an appointment it s a headache . I spent 40 min on the phone answering all the question to hear she will have to call me back because i need an approval to switch from a doctor that i ve seen once to the one that i really wanted to see. That made me really question Children s Hospital and i made instant decision to switch back to Beaumont and I made an appt within 5 min. Thank you for making me appreciate Beaumont again!

Went here for speech therapy for my 2 year old daughter, staff was friendly, told me the cost for a session was 115.20 (45 minutes) if I paid cash, but recommended me getting insurance to help with payments. I then went on to do 13 sessions based off of that rate. After getting insurance, they billed me at a rate of 339.00 a session (and my insurance covered less than half), when I objected to not getting anything even close to the quoted amount in May, they have since put me in an infinite run around between their office and billing department. They tell you they will call you back, then never do, they tell you to write them complaints in letter format, then don't tell you the result. Almost every phone call and billing statement ends with them threatening a collection agency if I don't pay them more than three times what their office quoted me. Double and triple check your bills from these guys, especially if insurance doesn't cover everything for you. No complaint about the actual speech therapist, just the organization as a whole.

To the "owner" that comments back with an email address, that email doesn't work. Editing my review- I now give this place a 1 star (wish I could give negative stars). Neurology is a joke here. I have left voicemail after voicemail for now almost A YEAR AND A HALF to get results and I have never received a call back. They also apparently put in that my son needs other testing and NEVER told me. Also apparently put in that my son might have a seizure disorder and NEVER told me. I didn't find this out until now and my son was originally seen in December of 2020. It's now September 2022. No one should ever take their child here. Also can't even get a call back from speech therapy about what the therapist put in my aon chart because I guess it is something completely different than what I was told. Not a single person in the place will call me back. Our occupational and speech therapists were both very nice. I was told we would get a call about 6 months after our therapies ended to have my son reevaluated to see if we needed to continue, I have yet to receive any call and it's been about 9 months. Neurology instantly diagnosed my son with autism not even 5 minutes after meeting him. I definitely feel like they do not care for the children at all. They also ordered a genetic testing for him, I got it done and sent it in and never heard anything back. I've called neurology multiple times and have left multiple voicemails and not a single call or message has been answered or returned. I feel like I put my 2 year old through the pain of a blood draw for absolutely nothing.

Amazing from top to bottom. The check in staff is good! Our therapist was Kevin O'Neill and he is outstanding! Explains everything, makes you feel comfortable. Team approach, gets the family involved! My son was nervous the first time, and that evaporated within the first 10 mins! Would recommend to everyone!!!

This is a very difficult place to talk with someone. They are constantly sending you to another line. My two year old grandson was there today to have his labs drawn. Four pokes later and they were unable to draw his blood. Previously he had a lab tech that drew blood on the first pokeā€¦you can never talk to someone in the lab to see when she works to save him from this pain itā€™s always voicemailā€¦this is a Childrenā€™s Hospital they should have skilled techs!

This place is a nightmare. The pediatrician yelled at me because she didn't like my sons name. The audiologist wouldn't see us for 40 minutes and took two patients ahead of us because I was 10 minutes late bringing my son through a snowstorm and I thought the hospital might be closed. They never answer your calls. The nurses don't return messages until the end of the day. When I have a sick child, I have to go to urgent care or the ER because this hospital and these doctors never help me. I was recommended this hospital and I'm constantly told how good it is and how good the doctors are. I have not had one good experience. My son has special needs, and he has 16 doctors. I hate this hospital. It is torture, trying to get anything done. The people who answer the phones are always rude, irritated, mad for some reason. This is the worst.

There have been several instances where I made a appointment 2 weeks prior to appointment date and we arrive at the appointment and have to wait because the staff in both the Stinson specialty center and downtown locations failed to get the proper documentation before we arrived. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Took my daughter to a different place and they alarmed me while bending my daughters foot all the way in the opposite direction and casting it that way. So i came here to the stilson center, My daughter was born with club foot, had two surgeries with dr.jones which did a fabulous job! Then we ended up having Dr. Minnock who has also done a great job.. My son broke his femur and was put into a horrific cast which was cutting him from mclaren, took him to Dr. Minnock and he redid the cast. I highly recommend this place!!!!

I brought my son to the Rehab center for casting and PT due to his toe walking. His PT was Kevin and oh my goodness, we were so so happy with everything. Kevin was absolutely fantastic with my son. He had a very clear and methodical plan of action. We had tried everything prior to casting and nothing worked. Kevin made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. My son is no longer on his toes! Finally! I would recommend Kevin to anyone!

Such a disappointment. They seemed more concerned about the 75$ we needed to pay on top of what my insurance will be billed for my son's first and only appointment. The therapist was uninspiring and had to be prompted for home instructions. Not where I will choose to spend my money again.

I started coming here right before I turned 18, and I am 21 and still keeping up with my yearly appointments and continuing to receive phenomenal support from all of the staff that I interact with. Especially want to call out the audiologist and ear nose and throat doctors, keep up the great Work and thank you so much for all of your support! Only thing I will say is you change numbers please update them so I can call for stuff when needed...

Nobody ever calls you back. Even after messages and messages left. I've been waiting since January and still have yet to get a call back for an appointment. My child's doctor even sent the referral two more times!! Ridiculous!

Love love love the therapists! However the people who run the office are terrible. My son has been going here for years. He usually goes a few months for PT, takes a break and then resumes a few months later. Each time they claim we never put him on the waiting list so we end up starting months after he needed to resume. Then he loses all the progress he has made. And instead of doing what the can to fix the error, they tell us we never put him on the waitlist and he can be fit in again in a few weeks or months. This last time I gave them a prescription for more PT before he was supposed to start, claimed they never got it so I gave them a new one. Then, they still hadnā€™t gotten us in and said that they needed a new script because the other was expired. He was supposed to start again at the beginning of July and now they are telling us maybe October! If we had any other option with our insurance we would have left years ago.

Kevin from gave me the time of my life here. He took a bad situation and saw the light at the end of the tunnel and guided me all the way through. First time I was treat I was 17 I loved it so much when I needed help now as a 22 year old all I wanted was Kevin as my physical therapist but the problem is it a child facility. I thought let me ask and see if Kevin could still take me and he got me in as soon as possible. The people that work here go out of there way just so you can feel better whether it was the front staff, or Theripist. They called my doctor for me. Kevin called me on his own time to check on me no other Theripist is going to go out of there way just to check on you or give you the one on one attention I got. Back is stronger then ever now thank you.

While encountering an extremely rocky and unsettling start to our sonā€™s treatment while being treated at Childrenā€™s Specialty Center-DETROIT Physical Therapy office, we were beyond thrilled with the treatment we received at the Childrenā€™s STILTSON Specialty Center Physical Therapy office. It is the place to be! Our son was treated by Kevin and Jason for casting and then by Kevin for physical therapy following the casting process. Five stars is not enough to give to these two thoughtful, knowledgeable and capable individuals. Kevinā€™s ability to listen, then assess, and finally to adapt to our sonā€™s therapy needs is remarkable. His ability to base patient treatment on a childā€™s individual needs is his expertise. As a parent, you want the best for your child. Kevin is committed to giving your child an unparalleled level of care. We are so grateful to have found him, and we will tell everyone we know to utilize this facility -Childrenā€™s STILTSON Specialty Center in Clinton Township - for your childā€™s physical therapy needs.

Our daughter just had a great experience with Kevin and Jason for our serial casting ! They were always very conscientious in making sure she was comfortable and took extra care with padding and positioning . We are so thankful for the therapist we have met over the years and I am thankful once again for Kevin and Jason in getting our baby girl where she needs to be in hopes that she will be walking someday. šŸ™

My grandson needed speech therapy here. No answer to calls, no answer to emails. He's been waiting over 2 hours today for an eye appointment. Not at all happy with this place.

  • 5/5 Wendy V. 11 months ago on Google
Kevin and Jason were amazing! They made my somewhat anxious child feel very comfortable at each visit. The casting process flew by with very few complaints from my child. I wish we would have done this at the beginning of her toe walking journey.

I am absolutely so beyond blessed and thankful for this center!! My baby boy first started around 4 months and just finished around 7 months I am so thankful for his teacher anam for all her hard work and her dedication to help my baby:) I would definitely always come back if needed! She was very helpful with explaining each exercise and showing us how to perform them correctly! Thank you again!

I wish I could give more stars. I love my daughter physical therapist Anna(I hope I spelled it right) but she always accommodated me, an made sure I was comfortable with doing the same stretching we do at our appointments, at home. She is always hands on but also very informative making sure I understood what the benefits of each stretches were. Even when she went on maternity leave she printed out a whole packet of at home things I could do till she returned, an hand picked out a temporary therapist that would best fit my daughter. Highly recommended because she loved my daughter as if it was hers!

Let me start by saying I love our Dr. BUT trying to get ahold of ANYONE is an absolute JOKE!! The automated system is like a maze! There is NO PROMPT for ENT, so you have to navigate through a maze of transfers only to sit on hold for 30 minutes or maybe leave a message if you get lucky and find that option. All I need to do is reschedule but I guess they'll realize we're not coming when we don't show up. INSANELY AGGRAVATING!!!

When we noticed our daughter toe walking we knew it was something we needed to nip in the bud. Our awesome pediatrician referred us here! From the first phone call with Mr. Kevin I knew my daughter was going to get exactly the help she needed. We did the serial casting and it went great and also went by really fast. My daughter is no longer toe walking and is back to being a happy, healthy 9 year old! Mr. Kevin and Mr. Jason were such great therapists and I can't thank them enough for being so great at what they do.

We love Mr. Kevin! From the moment he called us to set up my daughters PT I knew he was going to be our guy! He went above and beyond in teaching us, explaining, and working with my 6 month old. The staff is super friendly and return messages same day - 10/10 recommend this office and specifically Mr. Kevin!

My daughter has been trying to get in touch with Dr Webber for weeks to make an appointment so my granddaughter can continue with her speech therapy. She has called multiple times with no callback. It's now been 2 months. We have been dealing with Stilson for 6 years. Very dissapointing. We love the Stilson Center but it is already tough enough taking care of a child with autism without the added stress of no callback.

In the two times prior to today that my daughter has had to come here we're very pleasant. Tonight completely different story, tonight our nurse told my husband and myself that we were not allowed to make our daughter feel comfortable about being here for a sleep study at 2 and a half. I have to say that tonight's visit makes me want to make sure if my daughter needs to have another sleep study done, we won't do it the nights Laura works. Don't tell me I can't make my child feel more comfortable with being in a strange place being hooked up to a few different machine's. Also she came in to fix the oxygen thing that measures the breaths, and picked up and just shoved me out of the way. She could have asked for me to move, especially after telling me that I could move closer to my daughter. Never again when she is working.

My child had a test done here, and the results took way longer than necessary to make it back to his Dr. Despite the order being STAT...I called numerous times only to be transferred from department to department. As it turned out, the department that handled my child's procedure does not have a direct number, only an automated system to schedule appointments or leave a message. When someone finally did call me back, she assured me the results had been faxed. Call the Dr., nothing's been received. I call the office back and rather than just faxing them again, the lady on the phone wanted to "let me know" that the results were faxed at 7:46 this morning. Ironically, as I'm typing this right now, the results have still not made it to their intended destination. I am very frustrated by this, and hopefully will not have to return here in the future. I guess the actually service provided wasn't too bad, but what good is that if I can't get the result.

WOW! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE FOR SPEECH THERAPY EVALUATION! RUN RUN RUN! I am really at a loss for words. In a nut shell, I was referred here by my primary care doctor, they quoted a different price then what I was billed, I tried to dispute the bill since the paperwork stated they were unable to complete the evaluation. The billing department never called back when they said they would, lost my dispute paperwork although I submitted it twice and I learned yesterday that it was sent to collections even though my account was supposed to be on hold. I would rate zero stars if possible. Please save yourself the headache. If you have a child that needs a speech evaluation, the school district will do this for you for free. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THEY ARE CON ARTISTS!!

$1500 for my kids broken arm. All they did was an X-ray and a cast. Didnā€™t even need to be set. Ripoff! Must have to overcharge to pay all those nurses standing around talking about Facebook...

I would give negitive stars in this case. EEG appt at 915 was there till 940 figuring out how to pay them my co pay and deductable. Asked if they can do payment friday because my credit card wasnt accepted.(care credit)They wouldnt work with me. This is important matter involving my 17 month old daughter. Shame on them for turning away a child!!!! This is pathetic. Its not like it was thousands of dollars. It was 81 dollars. I came here and waited to just be turned down. I'm so upset and can't believe this is what it comes down too.
