Your receptionist/secretary Nicole, is absolutely terrible to have to deal with in already stressful situations. This is about the third interaction I've had at this ER on different occasions and she is always there and always extremely rude and I honestly hate going here because of her. Nicole is extremely condescending and cold, even raised her voice at my mother. incredibly rude especially to the elderly patients that come in. You need to train your staff in common courtesy, politeness, customer service and maybe try some soft skills. Going in for schedule appointments on the weekend through the ER is a complete joke. They will push your SCHEDULED appointment back by hours and you then leave and come back hours later for the same appointment and then they push it back by hours again without notifying you or giving you the option to reschedule before you drive all the way up there for the second time. I just left and took my elderly mother home because it was too much on her after waiting all day for a scheduled appointment. It was the worst experience. this last time and I will do everything in my power not to go back there. You charge a sick amount of money to have people treat your patients like that. Nicole should be ashamed of her customer service -a little kindness and empathy goes a long way. Update*****My mother insisted on going back there and rescheduling her appointment and guess what... They called today to let us know that they're pushing her appointment back yet AGAIN by another 3 hours on the same day of our now 5th rescheduled appointment, pretty sure it's not a blood clot like they thought because she'd be dead by now from this ultrasound being rescheduled so many times If that was the case.

I gave this place a one-star but would choose a negative star if I could. The staff answering the phone at the ER in the evening are just completely rude and unprofessional. I think someone should explain to the staff that people are concerned about friends and loved ones when they drop them off there and just a tiny bit of common courtesy & kindness goes a long way. Being in a stressful State already when you're in that situation becomes vastly more stressful when your speaking to someone who is rude and talks to you with no empathy or respect. No one likes nor deserves to be treated in a disrespectful manner when trying to call and find out about a loved one or friend. I am extremely disappointed in the evening staff at the ER. Especially compared to the morning staff which was quite helpful as well as delightful. Maybe going back to teaching the basics to them on how to deal with people as humans sure couldn't hurt this staff in particular.

Had ankle break surgery yesterday. Everyone was absolutely great and friendly. The nurses were fantastic and explained every step of the way. Had Covid test up my nose which was awfully discomforting. But protocols which I understand. I'd rate my experience as 10/10. Thank you every who helped me.

From reception until I left it was an excellent experience. My intake nurse up in the OR Leslie was absolutely wonderful friendly polite made me laugh put me at ease. Don’t remember a whole lot of the OR Our recovery but I do remember how nice everybody seem to be thank you for the great experience for the third time around I choose this place repeatedly for the great doctors and nursing staff.

My 5 star review was because of the awesome treatment for an outpatient test. I was so nervous and the care was exceptional. So nice and reassuring. My favorite place!! Today was a scheduled procedure based on my previous outpatient test. I was so nervous but when my name was called and I saw Julie, my angel from my previous test I was so relieved. She works in the imaging dept and she is one in million. She got me thru the procedure. 100%, I hope you are aware of her worth. She is amazing. 💯😇👍

I love this facility. This is my second visit and first surgical visit. I cannot say enough good things about the care and professionalism. Everyone was so caring and informed me along the way of every step of the procedure and followed up today. The nurses were especially fun to visit with to make me feel at ease and very attentive all the way through the procedure. Perfect experience !

My daughter had a surgery yesterday at ascension st john hospital on 23 mile romeo. We are very satisfied with the staff and the doctor, everything was on time and clean. The nurses were super friendly and professional. Later that night Dr.Becker called us to check on my daughter. Recommend to everyone, 5 stars for the hospital from us and a big thank you to Dr.Becker and staff.

The staff was great and very accommodating. Usually when I get an IV put in, it takes people a couple tries so I am all bruised up. Not here one try and you can't even tell where she put in the IV. I would recommend this facility.

Had a great surgery experience on 5/5/23. The staff was so reassuring every step of the way because I was so nervous. Friendly, helpful, didnt rush. Everyone took time to introduce themselves so it felt less of a scary experience. They just called today 5/8/23 to make sure I was resting and healing ok.

Great experience except for checkin. Even though you hand the referral order to the receptionist, she states loudly what you are there for so everyone in the waiting room can hear. Probably would be best to be more subtle and cognizant of patients' privacy.

It's so sad to see where Ascension has ended up. Absolutely terrible reception/customer service. I would love to make an appointment, because Dr.Lyons is wonderful, but I can't get past this ridiculous front desk. No one answers the phone, they don't call you back and the chat is useless.. How in the hell do you run this way? Does the doctor know you treat patients this way?

Very helpful. You couldn’t ask for a better staff. at this point though, I’m hoping that our visits will end soon! lol we’ll see.

Efforless process from initial contact to dischage after surgery. Had carpal & cubital tunnel surgery at same time. My first sugery ever. From scheduling to check-in, perp, anestesia, great job by the nurses and anestsiologist. Dr. Avery Arora did fantastic job on the surgery. After one day I can move and feel all my fingers. And the music that plays is so good & relaxing, perfect for sugical center.

Check in was simple. Nurses and doctors were professional, personable, spoke clearly and concisely. They answered all questions and seemed truly genuine. I was in and out in less than three hours. Everything went smoothly and on time. I would recommend this place.

There was one thing that especially impressed me. The nurses were exceptional! The pre/post op nurses were skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient, as well as being personable. The surgical nurses came to introduce themselves and give reassurance that they would be taking care of me. Actually, that did have a calming effect. My doctor briefly gave me info on the process, recovery period and answered any questions. (We had already went over a lot in an office visit.) The anesthesiologist also came to see me, which I know is common. However, he was reassuring also, and spent a decent amount of time with me. From my experience, I would give 5 stars for Ascension Health Center.

The individuals who attended to me were extraordinary! They were kind, informative and very pleasant! The staff made the surgery on both eyes an extremely easy and comforting experience. From the gals at check in to the follow up call the day after to the card received signed by the staff. I could not have asked for a better team! Thanks to all.

My experience at your facility was very positive once I got to the second floor. The communication at check-in was definitely not as good as it should be. The people on the second floor were looking for me. But after they found me, all the nurses and medical professionals we're absolutely wonderful. They were very caring. Before and after my surgery, the doctor communicated well with my husband to keep him in the loop as to what was going on with me. I really really appreciate that. Pre-op and post-op nurses were all wonderful. My care was excellent. Thank you very much for a very good experience

Great nursing staff. Very personable and show an interest in how ur doing and making sure everything goes good. I’ve had a few procedures here and it was nice and reassuring when my nurse Teresa was like I remember u (as did the anesthesiologist doc, 😂). The nurse anesthetist Kim and Lynn were also really great. I thank u all for taking good care of me. I’m sure I’ll be back but hopefully 🤞 not too soon. ☺️

I arrived for my appointment and I checked in without any confusion nor inconvenience. Staff was professional & kind from the beginning to end. I was pleased and comfortable with my physician and his surgical team. All my procedure they did call me to follow up on how I was doing and I appreciate that. My over all experience was great 🙂

My son came in with a fractured collarbone had cuts on his hand and arm and leg. They didn't even dress them. He had to ask if they could please clean and put a Band-Aid on his leg. The nurse had an attitude . They couldn't even remember to give him a doctor's note. He had to return back. Very disappointed in this place, my son felt terrible after he left there, on top of already hurting! 😡

Thank you to the staff at 23 Mile/Romeo plank. They made my experience wonderful there and were so nice, personable, helpful and caring from the very beginning. They kept me warm with warm blankets very often made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The nurse that I had that administered my iv I never even felt it it was so smooth. They were more than helpful to be able to give all the good stuff to help with post op nausea (and Imade it the whole way through). They were so knowledgeable in everything answered any questions I had. It was overall a great experience. Thank you again. I would recommend this out patient facility to anyone.

Came here mid November for a possible miscarriage. The doctor seemed ok, but the other staff seemed annoyed I was there. It was not busy whatsoever. It was my first pregnancy and first miscarriage, so I was very upset and emotional when I was there. The 2 girls who did my ultra sound did not seem to even care about my situation, as were talking about some argument that happened prior to seeing me then started making jokes as I lay there with tears in my eyes, which I believe was incredibly unprofessional. As I was finishing up all the testing, I was not explained about what to expect from a miscarriage (which I discovered 2 weeks later) :( I was surprised a d&c or medication was not offered or suggested for the miscarriage I was having. I was also given paperwork that they never asked for back, but I completed it and handed it to front desk. I tried to pay right then and there for my treatment, but was told I couldn't and would be billed. The bill I got was a piece of paper saying they were unable to interview and obtain necessary information to properly charge me. The lack of empathy, compassion and professionalism for my situation made me feel like I was a bother to them and that I was overreacting about my first child loss. My first and last time I will ever go here

The care and support I received during my outpatient surgery was above and beyond. The nurses and support staff were very kind and supportive. My surgeon and staff were the best. I feel that St. John’s Hospital is the best and I would not want to go to any other hospital in the future.

No one wants to go to the Emergency Room. Just the thought of a nightmare reception and day-long ordeal is almost more dreadful than the actual reason for needing an ER visit. We recently went to Ascension St. Johns on 23 Mile just west of Romeo Plank as our nearest ER aside from McLaren General ER in Mt. Clemens. The Ascension ER facility is extremely clean, the reception staff was very prompt & professional, and we were seen by a doctor just as quickly. For our particular visit we needed x-rays which were also done in a timely manner. We were treated and on our way within about an hour. That's lightning fast for a trip to any doctor much less an ER. As nice as they were - I certainly don't want to make a habit of seeing the folks at Ascension ER, but it's a nice peace of mind knowing that if/when a trip to the ER arises we are absolutely going back to this one.

I came in to have surgery on my foot. The hospital staff were awesome from start to end. The nurses and Doctors were outstanding. I’m very satisfied with the treatment and all of the staff were excellent. Thanks for making my surgery a smooth visit.

My daughter was seen on January 2nd. It is now Jan 7th and her prescription for one of her medications was never sent to the pharmacy. She has called the hospital, and the receptionist told my daughter that it would be sent. She is still waiting for it. I just don’t understand why it is taking so long for one medication to be sent to the pharmacy. If there was an issue, then she should have been informed. We will not be returning to this hospital.
