This is a top-notch gym for beginners and seasoned gym goers alike. George, the owner, is always checking in on people and has set rules that make the gym a safe and welcoming environment. The facilities are stellar. Membership rates are very reasonable and flexible, with no surprise fees, which is a testament to how homely this place feels. I can’t recommend this gym highly enough, whether you’re in town for a few weeks or you need a long term home-base.

Powerhouse is so much more than your typical gym. It’s an atmosphere of positivity, encouragement, reliability, and community. Junior is one of the best personal trainers I’ve ever had the opportunity of working with. Everything about this gym is above par. They are relevant and forward thinking! I can’t recommend this place enough.

The trainers and personnel at the gym are second to none - always friendly and helpful. The equipment is also very clean and well maintained, far better than most other gyms in this area. Availability 24/7 is also fantastic. It would be absolutely perfect if it was a larger facility, otherwise it can be a bit crowded during popular hours of the day. Nevertheless, 5/5 stars for what it is!!

I cannot thank the owner of this powerhouse gym location enough for being open during the covid restrictions, it helped very much. A great place to unwind and reach new potential. A 24/7 gym is very hard to find nowadays. Has the old school gym feel and is kept clean.

An amazing gym. The coaching is top notch, classes are small, the programming is varied and no matter what the class size, the coaches pay attention to the form and progress of every member. In addition, this is a friendly community that is welcoming.

I've been going to Powerhouse since I moved to the area in 2015 and I have never had a bad experience there. The owner George (who is was there every single day that I've been at the gym, he really shows he cares about his gyms and his members' fitness), every employee, and the other members are all the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of interacting with. The atmosphere of the gym is laid back with everyone being able to work out at their own pace and no one throwing weights around like a jerk. The equipment and machines are all up to date and in working order and they are constantly cleaning the gym to make sure it is ready for people to workout in comfortably. You will not regret joining!

Extremely professional, affordable memberships, & staff definitely goes above and beyond for their members. Great workout equipment and 1 of 2 locations for your convenience. If either location is local to you they’re truly worth making a New Year’s resolution for or a lifestyle of fitness goals and feeling healthier!!!!

Edit: This facility has become my second home. Staff and owner are so welcoming and kind. Joining this gym has helped me become more dedicated to my fitness journey. Awesome selection of protein snacks and beverages. I never have to wait too long to rotate from bench/machine. Ended my crunch membership to join this gym and definitely is one of the best decisions I made in my fitness journey. It’s never over crowded. I can get my workout in without a bunch of teens hovering over a machine or benches. Staff is friendly and facility is clean.

Great gym. Newer equipment and well kept and clean. Only complaint is that it gets very busy and it is a fairly small gym but it’s popular for a reason!

Great gym. Plenty of equipment, free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. Even during peak hours, its easy to get a full workout in.

The facilities are nice and I like the gym itself a lot. The fees are kinda unreasonable especially the annual fee. I tried canceling multiple times because I moved far away but you have to go in to cancel so I was paying and not even able to go and they were not understanding of this. I canceled in November but they’re charging me next years annual fee. Also when I originally signed up I felt swindled into a one year contract because it was not explained well to me. I was told I would pay monthly, which is correct, but they didn’t even mention the year long contract. I only found out about it when I tried to cancel. I don’t know, just felt a little shady with the management. If i’ve been a loyal, paying customer for over a year, you would think they would value a little more than this (with the cancellation and annual fee aspect). I’m not happy with the annual fee being charged after I cancel my membership.

This is a 5 star gym, one of the best I have ever been a part of! I really appreciate the gym being open 24/7/365!!! George is also a great owner, always on site helping out, very accommodating, and awesome hospitality! Excellent equipment as well and two locations! Fair pricing and friendly staff, I HIGHLY recommend Powerhouse Gym Troy!!!

Nice, clean gym. Good variety of equipment, absolutely stellar staff. Owner is there most days, and you can tell he cares about the gym. Great atmosphere, good locker rooms as well. Been going for a couple months now, nothing but good experiences.

Started semi private sessions with Alex , best decision I’ve made! I feel very challenged and enjoying the change in workouts from my usual routine. Excited to see the results!

If I could give this gym 6 stars, I would. I love that it’s a no fuss gym , but filled with people who are serious about their fitness goals. They are also family owned, well staffed, welcoming and the facilities are always clean. I LOVE that it’s open 24 hours. I highly recommend checking it out.

Great gym. I love that it is a smaller club with a great group of members. I really enjoy the steel weights, my strength has really increased. The management is cool and I love the protein shake bar.

Hands down the best gym i’ve ever been to. I cannot recommend this gym to enough people. Variety of equipment amazing staff and the friendly owners are almost always in. Highly recommend the VIP membership, too many perks to turn down. Both locations you get with your membership are 10/10

George and his son Junior treat their clients like true family. They are very encouraging to reach your fitness and lifestyle goals with their great training programs and education on diet/wellness. Their trainers follow in their footsteps and are some of the best in the business. I would recommend the whole team to anyone!

If you’re looking for a gym that respect you and makes you feel like family this is the spot to be. I was looking for a gym that wasn’t too commercial but commercial enough to not be intimidating when I first started lifting a few years back. Trust me when I say this is the spot, the culture is unbelievable. The owners George & Frank are guys I have looked up to since joining the gym in 2020. Instead of closing the gym when covid started they realized that so many people rely on the gym for not only physical health but for mental health. They are much more than just business men. They are family & everyone I’ve talked to has told me the same thing. Thanks for everything guys

Best gym in the area: great equipment, pristine facilities, gym goers are courteous, focused, and motivated! The staff is always helpful. George is very accommodating and always goes the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Power House Gym is my favorite workout facility. I have belonged other places, but none compare. Friendly staff greets me by name every time I enter. Wonderful patrons are always respectrul and helpful. And a full line of awesome products from clothing to vitamins and tastey smoothies. Highly recommend. And, the gym is open 24/7!!!!

Great palce to work out even later of the day, I am used to be there three to four times a week. It's not a very big gym, but the equipment there is enough for me to build my body. Recommend!

Every time I go to the Powerhouse Gym either in Troy or in Madison Heights I enjoy it. The members are great, the staff is great. The gym is exceptionally clean, the equipment is great and what more could a member want.

Nice place decent amount of equipment. Gym and locker rooms are always clean. Staff and owner are cool. Haven't been to the Maddison Heights location but from what I hear it has even more equipment and amenities.
