This is a nice venue! Staff was friendly and it seemed like they enjoyed what they were doing. Their bathrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper and soap which is a huge plus for any venue in my opinion, lol. They have a lil water cooler with lil cups available for people who just want some water. And the cherry on top for me is the art on their walls. It's amazing.

Came for a show. Never been here before. Really nice small venue. The staff and security were really nice. Bathrooms kept clean. I recommend seeing shows here.

I cant say enough nice things about this venue and the staff. I have a bad back and can't stand up for long periods of time and the staff was able to get me a chair so I would be comfortable and enjoy the concert. A million thanks for this and makeing my night amazing. And to top it off how amazing they are they have a water cooler in the back so you are able to get water any time you like. The bathrooms were also very clean. Would definitely go to this venue again.

A great place to see a show. I don't consider this a bar, it's a concert venue. I went and few were drinking and there were tables or chairs. Not a bar! At least, not those nights. Great sound, staff are nice, it's safe for all ages.

I always knew "Paychecks" had potential for bigger venue then it was! Cheers to "The Sanctuary" for making it into what it is these days! Awesome venue, schedule, staff, layout & sound! Keep up the great work!

Home of Sanctuary Fight Club, an independent pro wrestling promotion. SFC has a show just about every month. Definitely worth the price of admission.

Came in from Indiana yesterday to see a show. Every single person in this building was so great! Employees and patrons. The bartender Adam was the dopest of the dope! They have a Mercyful Fate Jesus and it's the best thing I've ever seen. Ten out of ten can't wait to come back in October for Cold as Life!

Great place to see shows. The sound quality is great, and there's lots of room to mosh around. Lol.

Awesome venue for shows. It's large enough to hold a couple hundred people but small enough to get up close and see the bands easily. Staff and people are normally really cool.

Great venue for a concert! Sound was very good and the staff was some of the friendliest you will ever come across. Thanks for a fun night!!

Best venue in the area. Sounds great. Drinks are cheap. Staff is always awesome. They do the absolute most for local artists. Always a treat to see a big name roll through as well.

One of my favorite small venues. Reasonable prices, great staff, professional sound, and wonderful atmosphere. I've never had a bad time here. The only negative is the stage lights always seem to be red and blue, making it hard to photograph anything or anyone, but the vibes are great!

Very cool venue. Its small and you get to be right up close with the artists. The bar service was awesome, never waited for more than a minute or 2 for drinks, which were fairly priced. The bathroom was a bit shabby though and they didn’t have any soap to wash your hands.

Went out to the Sanctuary to see The Screaming Females (who were absolutely fantastic), but The Sanctuary was clean, and the acoustics were great. Also, the drinks were well priced! Would love to be back soon for more shows!!!

Very very small place. 5 person band has little room on stage. If the show is sold out, it’s hard to move around in there. However, tickets are still about $25 and beer is $4. And you don’t have to pay for parking.

Hands down one of best sounding small venues I have been to. Staff is friendly and works hard. The location is for sure sketchy, but it is northern Detroit.

Small venue that lets you get up close with the bands. My daughters and I had a great time seeing The Dollyrots. I didn't give a five star review because there's no parking lot and one of the toilets wasn't working in the ladies room.

Went in to see a couple of my friends play with their bands last night. The turn out wasn't huge but every set was absolutely killer. The staff was friendly and safe and made sure I didn't bring anything shady in for danger which is always appreciated. All of that being said let's get down to the important part. They didn't shut down the pit. All my buds and their buds got to slam into eachother in such joy. Good sets Good staff Good pit And I didn't mention this earlier but my friends said the bartender was super nice too so yall make sure you tip thay lady

I have been in this building many times over the years when it was called Paychecks. They’ve cleaned it up a bit and redecorated, but it’s still a no nonsense bar and music venue. The staff are super pleasant and accommodating, the sound system is much better than most venues of this size, and the BATHROOMS ARE CLEAN!!!

Fantastic venue!! It’s perfect for Hardcore shows. Metal and punk always sound wonderful too. Great place to catch any show really and great bartenders make this place the best.

This is hands down, my favorite place to see concerts, and honestly, one of my favorite places on earth! So many great memories here! It's an intimate venue where you are likely to see your favorite musicians either at the merch table or watching the opening bands.

👍👍 Reasonably priced drinks, pool tables and online jukebox available. They have a good 'bar food' menu; try the Ćevapi (a kebab-type sausage, found traditionally in southeastern Europe countries), or Ćevapi Pita with a side of tzatziki sauce--it's delicious!

👍👍 This is among the great dive bars in metro Detroit. It’s friendly, cheap and welcoming to all. Newbies get a shot of Jezy, which is some polish liquor. It’s pretty tasty. They have a great patio out back. People usually pick excellent tunes on The jukebox. Overall, highly recommend!
