A great experience with many shops and local events happening. Large selection of plants and all types of food!

We visited the market in the winter, there are two buildings of indoor vendors offering fresh food, flowers, etc, and some prepared food too. There are other stores and restaurants in the surrounding area as well. There is also tons of murals around the neighborhood, which I loved. I'd like to come back in the warm months when the outdoor market is open.

Absolutely fantastic open-air farmers market with tons of fresh produce, flowers, salsas, meats, etc. Several food trucks strewn about.

so much stuff to see and buy it was great. Some things were way overpriced but most were decent. The meat shops around town and stuff like that were great. There's things here for the whole family. Everything from homemade spices to meat and fish markets that carry just about everything. Fresh fruits and veggies, snacks and baked goods, homemade handmade items, etc Every time we're near Detroit in any way, even if we're still 30 minutes away, we make a trip to the market that day Kind of a bummer because it does close at 4:00 so just be aware of that But if you get there early and you can see everything and look at all the stands and shops and all that it's worth the trip down will say that there is a meat market behind the market and a red building and I was kind of aggravated the last time I was in there. I got one of the best tasting steaks i've ever had in my life but this time they would not sell me a single steak. They would only sell me in bulk so that was kind of aggravating Other than that though, we had an awesome time as usual. There's two different spice shops that we like that we go into. They have candy and spices and you name it. As far as little things go for snacks, nuts and candies, spices, little snack sticks stuff like that But if you're near Detroit, stop by the Eastern market and look at all the neat stuff they have. You'll find something there for everybody in the family

I'm 59 years old, in today's the first day I went to Eastern market by myself. Some of the friends won't be happy but I did what I could. I got my flowers I got home and everybody was really nice the pizza guy even gave me my money back when I told him I couldn't have tomatoes 2 days in a row. I forget the name of the place but it was Wood fired Pizza! On the flower vendors were perfect, and best of all they let you haggle the price down! I'm definitely going next year

Almost five years since I’ve been here and it just gets better and better. My favorite beef sticks were $1/stick. The flowers were mind blowing-ly beautiful (if that’s even a word). It was packed with people by 2PM and I understand why. Mystic Kettle was PHENOMENAL. Prices were so reasonable for what you’re getting. I can’t wait to come back. There aren’t many places like this in the entire country.

One of my favorite place in all of Detroit. So much to experience there. Our family loves to stroll through all the booths and do lots of taste testing. We always leave with unique items that I wouldn’t be able to get at my grocery store and the produce is coming from many local farmers so it feels good to be able to support them as well. Definitely carve out a few hours for here-it’s an amazing experience!! Especially in the summer and fall.

It was long weekend. Even though we didn't have a whole market opening, we had food, beer and flowers. We will definitely come back again 😄.

Definitely need to go here. So many farmers bringing their goods to sell. Great way to support them.

Amazing is an understatement. I absolutely love coming to Eastern Market. They have everything. From fresh produce to small cacti for your home. My favorite thing to do while I'm here is get Amish Jam and a small cactus or succulent. At most of the booths you can use cash or card which is very convenient. Great place to stop on a Saturday.

Haven't been to Eastern Market in over 20 years. Lots of changes but still the same vibe. We got there early ( around 8am) to beat the crowds.Lots of your expected fruit, veggie, flowers, herbs ,house plants and meat vendors. Most offer better prices than grocers, and your supporting the farmers directly. New to me were the vendors selling artisan goods, speciality breads coffees. Prices range and I found more than one willing to negotiate on price. Fantastic way to spend a morning. The place is within walking distance of several restaurants, and fun stores.

Such a lively market to visit on a Saturday morning. Fresh produce, artisan crafts, food trucks and all things local to check out in various sheds. The flower market is simply amazing. Don't miss the French Cow crepe shop!

Eastern Market is one of my favorite places in Detroit. From the market on Saturdays to all of the events they have consistently, it’s a great place that ties the community together. I’m from New York and we don’t even have something this concentrated and community bonding. I’ll always be here if there’s an event going on!

Walked to @easternmarket today. Will definitely be a regular here #buylocal items. Can’t wait to go back and get #fredas veggie soup 🤤, try the crepes at #thefrenchcow (got too full from the soup😆), more of #inthemixdetroit frozen veggies, and replenish the honey. Aaaaand maybe add some more Detroit apparel 🤗. Lesson learned coming today…. Is to bring cash. Having to charge a big basket full of fresh spinach for 2$ is sorta a waste. But there’s room to tip🤓. Bonus for EV owners!…. You may charge your car while you shop 😍

Attended a Find raising event in sheds 3-5. Parking was a pain and the lots were closed. I'm not sure if the food was from here but it was nicely presented. Some of the courses were just ok. Depending on who decorates and lighting used, it can be a nice venue. There are not enough rest rooms and the parking is difficult.

My husband and our friends visited the Eastern Market while visiting Detroit. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. This is an incredible place to visit for an immersive Detroit experience. We really enjoyed seeing all the locally produced goods and speaking with the vendors. There were so many treasures all around, and I had no trouble finding gifts for friends, family and myself! The quality and abundance of the produce and live plants was incredible. There were also a variety of hot food options to sample for a quick lunch. We walked from our hotel, the Renaissance Centre, which was a nice, 30-minute trip with lots of sights along the way. We also explored the area around Eastern Market and found antique & vintage stores, butchers, seafood merchants and many incredible local shops, cafes and restaurants. This was absolutely a main highlight of the trip for me and I would return in a heartbeat!

The best place to get amazing plants! Unbelievable prices, so it’s a great way to stock up on everything from cute little succulents and other houseplants to outdoor plants up to and including actual trees. Tons of amazing produce from local vendors. Plenty of food trucks and stalls sprinkled around. A super fun place to roam around and people watch.

This place is an absolute jem. I wish I lived in Detroit because it has almost everything you need, places to eat, flower show, book sales, murals in the market (no more sadly) and now matter how busy it is you can always find a place to park stress free. Can't wait for when I'm in town again!

Loved this place! Came on a Sunday during summer - lots of quality vendors and a ton of variety spread over the 5 "sheds" of this market. Lots of fresh produce, lots of artisan crafts, local baked goods, t-shirts, souvenirs - so many vendors! They could have had more food trucks on a weekend, but the one we ate at was great, and the prices of everything were extremely reasonable!
