Terrible, terrible customer service. First of all, they opened very late. They were supposed to open at noon but they didn’t. They were not bothered by the long line of people waiting for them. When they finally opened, the kiosks were not working properly. The workers were not helpful. It was evident that they don’t enjoy working there. If more restaurants were opened, we would have left and gone somewhere else but due to Covid, there wasn’t a lot of choice.

Staff was rude and acted annoyed with any questions I had. Order Kiosks not working Food was pretty average. Ordered spicy.. been awhile since I've had popeyes.. wasn't spicy. Their Blackwned ranch is pretty 🔥

Doesn't have the one thing you'd want to eat at an airport from Popeyes, SANDWICHES. You can instead only get a bucket of chicken and eat it with your hands next to a stranger. I walked down to Chick-fil-A in the same airport and got my sandwich.

Absolutely no reason why an airport Popeyes where there's few other options should open 45 min late. Don't go here if you're pressed for time or early in the morning.

Worst experience ever. 25 minutes waiting (employee said I was 'literally next') before I gave up and asked for my money back. A process which took almost 10 minutes. During which time, the people ahead of me who'd waited even longer than me never got their food either.

Workers have an attitude, they don’t have what’s on the menu, told us to use the kiosk and the menu is wrong, they didn’t have 3 items I ordered and they substituted on their own. Took 20 minutes to get a refund.manager unprofessional. Oh and the food was bland 0/10 would not recommend

This location will actually open around 12:20 pm to take your order. The staffs are starting to cook and prepare most of chickens and sides from 11:30 am but nobody could order anything from the self-order kiosks until the gate lifted and order kiosks get turned on by the manager. Your order recipe will have your credit card name on on (which you have to use to pay for the food), so no number is being called. Just your name on the credit card. I believe it’s not employees’ fault for opening the restaurant late nor rude customers service. But rather the cooperation is not allowing the extra hours to pay/hire employees to do the preparation to serve meals. Many service industry positions are struggle to fill the positions. This is the only Popeyes that I’ve ever eaten but I enjoyed their spicy crunch chicken tenders. Bayou Buffalo sauce wasn’t available on my order options. Sweet heat & mustard dipping sauces were good. You may choose A la carte to order only the chicken pieces without sides nor drinks.

Crew members were very rude and not helpful at all. Tried to order mashed potatoes with no gravy for allergies reason and they couldn’t help with that. Food was stale and old. Mac and cheese was lumpy and tasted odd. Pretty disappointed.

Ordered a mac and cheese. Was half a order. Asked for bbq sauce didnt get none. Staff is rude and very unhelpful. For all the money you pay to eat there. The food is terrible and employees play to much.

I’m not sure why some people gave this place such low ratings. The food was actually quite good, with a fresh and tasty flavor, although it was a tad too salty for my liking. I opted for the three-piece combo, which turned out to be more food than I expected, and the spicy option wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be. The service was quick too, just a few minutes even with a couple of people ahead of me in line.

Went here to get some fried chicken in the afternoon. Found plastic in the fried chicken and after asking the manager about it she was completely ignorant about it as if it was nothing and rather said it was a fault of chicken provider. Just need to understand is it the Popeyes selling this fried chicken or the chicken provider and if there is a problem why not just accept it? Food department should definitely inspect this place. #foodsafety

Worst popeyes because the staff are unprofessional. Line of people waiting for the food they already ordered and the staff of 6 are all having personal conversations and not keeping the orders in order. Took back my tip out the jar. Doesn't cover the time wasted.

Just arrived from a long travel day. My flight was on delayed. With hungry I decide to stop at popeye and guess what, 2 manager in front of the register and two associates having fun and don’t even said hi. I asked them it the place was closed and not respond. Well they decide to go behind the server.I was Ignored completely. 01/02/2023. Hour 9:45pm.

Waited for 30 minutes to get my order finally asked for a refund then all the sudden my order was ready, the shrimp was nothing but fried cold batter and the fish was terrible to, the cook in the back would literally forget to fry enough food to fill orders,, the counter people were rude, when ever I asked were my order was they would mumble something and act like it was normal instead of giving a refund when I asked for it,the girl at the counter pointed to a box and said you're order is coming up we are waiting for the shrimp and I told her that box has been sitting there for 20 minutes and the guy in the back was grinning because he knew he purposely didn't fry the shrimp so my order couldn't be filled everything was nasty even the fountain pop tasted like rag water

This place never opens on time. It says 10:30am it won’t open until 11:00am or a bit later. The staff is nice but being on time shouldn’t be that hard.

Good, quick place to stop for a bite to eat. Kids wanted some chicken tenders. The food was fresh and hot.

  • 1/5 Chad S. 2 years ago on Google
The worst Popeyes location. Slow service and they would not make me mild tenders. Spicy tenders suck.

Good chicken (spicy is not spicy), tasty onion rings, limited seating, airport prices; cole slaw too creamy, customer service slow at best-a large number of customers. A good selection of soft drinks, free refills, including ice. Across from gate A61.

I really don't understand why all the complaining, but it's a Popeyes location inside an airport! For goodness sake, obviously it's going to be different from a store that's outside in the real world. Having the ability to purchase fried chicken during a layover is actually one of the selling points for me to connect through DTW. Also, I really don't know any other Popeyes locations that serves breakfast. During my most recent visit, I was connecting a redeye through DTW. I thought I would just stop by Popeyes to see if they're open. Well, apparently, they have a breakfast menu! Lastly, the workers at the DTW Popeyes are probably a million times nicer than the folks working at my local Popeyes.
