The Fisher building is a very beautiful but under-utilized building. The building has exquisite details similar to a faraway castle. Such beauty. Every time I visit this building, it is very empty and all the stores are closed. I just love all of the details of this building. I understand the Fisher Brothers of Fisher Body built this building as a gift to the citizens of Detroit. Take a look at the awesome detail in the ceiling. Simply beautiful.

The lobby of the Fisher Building is open to the public. It's absolutely worth your time to take a quick walk through to see the amazing architecture. For a more in depth experience, Pure Detroit, located on the first floor of the building, offers a free tour. It lasts about one hour. You get the full history of the building along with stops on higher floors that you can't see on your own. If you have the time, I would definitely recommend the tour. It was a lot of fun.

Beautiful historic Art Deco style building. Not many shops inside, but quiet, clean, and safe. I can see this area coming to life. This being on of the more significant architectural pieces and focal points of the community.

We loved checking out the Fisher building. The coffee shop had great espresso and I had an amazing vegan cranberry raisin oatmeal cookie. It was a great price too! Definitely worth stopping and shopping.

Fisher building is a masterpiece if you ever have chance to to visit. You will be amazed by the Celling and hallways. But it is a pity that you are allowed to stay at the first floor.

Taking part in the tour of the Fisher Building was the highlight of our recent first-time visit to Detroit. Our guide Jacob was engaging and entertaining and had the right amount of interesting facts and fun stories to tell that made the hour fly by! The view from the second floor was a personal highlight of as it puts you in direct eye line of the giant breathtaking chandeliers. Highly recommend the tour of the Fisher Building!

Absolutely beautiful building! Bring your strongest arms for opening the big brass doors! Parking is credit card only in the open lot (approx $3 for 30 mins during the day); and the box office does not validate due to no staff in parking booth, so bring a card! I was there to stop by the Fisher Theatre box office (always trying to avoid giving Ticketmaster money), and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind! Always appreciate their expertise and friendliness!

Such a cool building! We did the free tour through β€œPure Detroit” and it was so fun and informative. Our guide was a local historian and had so many cool stories about the place. For sure a highlight of our trip.

The building has ornate features on the ceiling and walls. The theater provides a subscription service to numerous productions. We saw the production The Company, which was enjoyable. There are a lot of intermission snack and refreshment options. Parking is convenient. Women's restroom line was very lengthy because only one restroom for women was open with four or five stalls, so plan accordingly. There are a lot of restaurant options close by to the theater

Absolutely stunning architecture. Such cute shops inside, they even have a barber/beauty shop. They are allowing in store shopping with masks required to enter Fisher. Theater still closed at this time. The shops are only open certain days. Most of them were open on Fridays.

Beautiful Art Deco architecture! I can only imagine the fancy soirees, and black tie events that took place in this building, and theater, back in the day! It's completely open to the public, and the gentleman at the information desk even provided a key, for the restroom. Definitely worth a stop!

My wife and I were able to take one of the guided tours provided by Pure Detroit. What a beautiful building. It's funny, we have been here so many times to see plays at the theater but never took much time to admire the building itself.

GO SEE THIS!! Another amazing example of guilded age craftsmanship. The Geodesic panels to the archway sayings to the brass centerpiece that so many feet have shuffled across. There also is a great old underground hallway to The Cadillac Building entrance- which you can’t get into - but still super cool to see.

A jewel of a building to examine. Detailing & use of materials define a period of opulence and taste. It's hard not to feel heavy and happy to see something so well preserved.

This is beautiful upscale architecture at its best.. when your taking care of personal business so close by and hardly able to notice the art wonder standing tall just feet away or a visit to the theater. No matter what your going there, just walk through and say hello for a coffee or visit one of the shops like its the first day it opened.. Beautiful Fisher

The event was wonderful! The staff were super helpful and polite. The only problem was the lack of handicapped/family bathrooms. There was not enough time during intermission to get my mobility impaired husband with dementia from house seat to the men's room. I ended up going in after him.

Falling into disrepair a bit without the George Harrison funding it used to enjoy. The building was long ago repurposed as a Hare Krishna temple. Many incredibly beautiful spiritual paintings, tapestries, and sculptures grace the building. A REALLY cool mini theater which shares a bit about the Hare Krishna religion and absolutely incredible life-size walk-through diorama of scenes of Krishna. The people are incredibly happy and welcoming. They give tours of the building for $40. Well worth it and a cool way to spend an afternoon while enriching your cultural and historic Detroit knowledge.

The Fisher presented the best concert of the with Stanley Clark and company. The Fisher should be the home of Jazz in the D in the Fall. Good job Fisher Staff.

This is a great place to go if you just want to walk around and look at the building. The architecture is beautiful and the space is massive. The shops aren't anything too interesting but if you have a reason to visit the area or theater then it's worth a stop.

ooooh baby, gotta love that art deco ostentatiousness also gotta appreciate the fact that you can just stumble in whenever you want and hear yourself clod hopping along, as you walk alone through this brass-gilded, tiled, and marbled cavern a very cool building (with a lot of available near-street parking)

This was such a beautiful, magical theatre... We saw Aladdin and it was such a good play!!! It was my first time at the Fisher and it was my first time seeing Aladdin in all its incarnations... it was just an amazing time! The beverages, memorabilia were fair prices; the food and water were a bit much but if you're thirsty, you're thirsty! The staff was helpful; everyone spoke before I had a chance to speak first! I was greeted with a smile and nod at every turn! It was just such a wonderful nite and I can't wait to go again and again! The garage was really close to the theatre... about 30-ft. and there's valet that's just a little bit further away! The seats were a little tight but I'm a little chunky so... it could be me! Either way, this place is highly recommended even if you want to simply sip and shop... there's lots to see and do in and around the Fisher Theatre!

Haven't been to the Fisher bldg in several years. Was sad to see this grand dame bldg is in need of some repairs. Many exterior doors not working, those that were are missing handles. Many of the iconic shops and restaurants are gone. The theater is still going strong, with adjacent parking. Love this bldg. Hope it remains a downtown Detroit landmark, 'The Golden Tower of the Fisher Building'.

If you are into Art Deco, then you must come and see this building! My camera gave out shortly after we arrived, and I have never been so bummed out in my life! This building is huge, it has gargoyles, Art Deco everywhere in opulent luxury. Each marble pillar (there are hundreds) come from different parts of the world. I took a trip up in the elevator just to see if I could get a view of the city. Surprisingly almost all the floors are locked up with empty office space.

Professionally the staff were very courteous and upbeat. On the downside the prices for everything was way more than I expected and there wasn't any food. At least that I seen. The little bit of snacks that they had were movie theater variety such as M&M's pretzels and popcorn. I don't mind paying a little bit more if I know there's going to be food. Also a downside was in the main upper balcony there was no lighting whatsoever. It was so dark in there you could barely see anybody without bumping into them. Told my wife about my experience and she said we probably would never go there again. Just a heads up if you're going to serve liquor Top Shelf at that you definitely want to have food to accompany it.
