Ambience is very nice. Good wine collection. Food menu is very limited. We tried 2 of the pastas and a chicken sandwich melt. The sandwich was really good but we didn’t like any of the pastas. They were dry and tasteless. The desserts and the starters were good and our waiter was very friendly and helpful.

Update a year later, place still looks good service still good and unfortunately food is not, order steak that why we came back, it turn out menu wasn’t updated I got New York strip instead filet mignon. It came almost cold and even not good as use to be. Fries there is the best but this time came cold and soggy. Very disappointed. R eally good place with good food, and pretty unique interior and friendly stuff. Steak was really good.

My husband and I were in town only for the night and tried Sava's on a whim based solely on their cocktail menu. Which is funny because we rarely drink. We landed on The Lonesome Dove and The Heart of Granada, which both went down incredibly smooth. My husband had radiation to his throat and can't handle even slightly spicy food. His eyes lit up when he saw the Capellini Marlon, but it has red pepper in it. Super bummed. He spoke to our server, Laura, who spoke with the kitchen, and they made him a special batch without the red pepper in the sauce. It was such a treat to watch him thoroughly enjoy eating a plate of food. He dug into that dish with relish and said if he wasn't in public, he would have licked the plate. My chicken fusilli was also delicious, as was the chocolate decadence cake and banana toffee cake, which I failed to get pics of because we devoured them before I realized I didn't get photos. Our service from Laura was excellent. She seems to really enjoy her job and wears an air of authority, as if she's been there for a long time. The atmosphere is also delightful. It's pretty casual but feels like fine dining without the outrageous prices. We will definitely return to Sava's. We haven't enjoyed dining out quite so much in a long time. Cheers!

I really enjoyed my time at Sava's! Their burger Mondays are a great deal ( starting at 5$ per burger). I really liked that they took our jackets. The open bar looked great too and makes you want to order cocktails, especially since they were freshly preparing garnishes! I can't wait to visit Sava's again!

Haven’t been to Sava’s in a very long time and I really enjoyed their brunch menu. Their bang bang shrimp was great! The service however was very slow!

Oh, Savas, you never disappoint. I don’t know what sort of training they do here, but I’ve been here multiple times throughout the past few years and the servers/staff are just incredible. They are so pleasant, kind, and personable. They make you feel like they’re actually happy you’re there. My husband and I went here for our date night and it was an awesome visit. The food was beyond delicious, do NOT skip on the bang bang shrimp. Chicken was a little dry, but had very good, flavorful seasonings. My drink (the gin carrey) was refreshing with a slight bite and it was strong. The carrot cake was phenomenal. The vibes here are always so pleasant and we will absolutely be back. The prices are very reasonable, also (for the experience and quality of food/drinks). For all the food we got (pictured) plus three drinks, it was $114 without tip. Also, shout out to our server Tiffany, you were awesome and so lovely to talk to and get recommendations from.

Sava's during Ann Arbor Restaurant Week is a culinary gem. With a meticulously crafted menu offering three choices per course, including a vegetarian option, it caters to diverse palates. While the lunch prefix dessert was average, the chocolate decadence dessert is unparalleled in Ann Arbor. The ambience exudes sophistication, creating an upscale dining experience. Service is impeccable, enhancing the overall enjoyment. For an unforgettable dining experience, Sava's is a must-visit destination in Ann Arbor.

Please bring back the mushroom bolognese/gemelli pasta for the reopening!!! It’s my absolute favorite and I will be so sad without it. Or give me the recipe 😂 also love the bang bang shrimp & autumn in New York cocktail! Amazing food and beautiful ambiance 😍

It’s been a minute since we’ve been to Sava’s .. whew, and so glad we made it back. Positives: very friendly staff, delicious food and a surprisingly great mocktail (State Street Switchel)! The negatives to drop it to a 4-star: we had a 6:30 dinner reservation and waited at least 10 minutes for the table, it took foreverrrr to just get our drinks. Minor inconveniences, we’ll be back soon. For my parent followers: Sava’s is a great evening spot for date night or night out with friends, not great for kids. Pictured: roasted beets, bang bang shrimp, and mahi mahi tacos.

Had a wonderful dinner date experience at Sava’s. The food served there was a bit pricey for a college town but worth every penny of it. Must try: Bang Bang Shrimp in Appetizers and Capllini Marlon in the main course.

The atmosphere was very nice and the service was good. The shrimp pasta was hard and quite bland and the portion was small. The cheesecake was okay. Overall rather disappointing and overpriced.

What a great experience! This was my last stop on my Pulpo Group owned restaurants and yet again, only good things to say. Dixboro and Aventura were also amazing (side note). We drank the mediterranean mock mule and blueberry lavender lemonade which were sweetened and tarted to perfection. We had the hummus with fresh warm grilled pita and pickled cucumber for our starter which was very tasty. Our entrées were the black bean wrap and turkey club. My guest loved her wrap and the turkey club was good as well. We split a side of baked Mac and cheese which was honestly my favorite part except the dessert, so bomb. Our dessert was the cheesecake with brûlée sauce and berries which was MOUTHWATERING. The atmosphere inside is very modern and bright! And the service was positive and professional, we were helped by Lexi and Katie. Both were very sweet and had optimistic attitudes, suggestions, and one of which had great things to say about where she worked! Love hearing that they are good to their staff because they are absolute gems. Definitely planning on returning!

Service and food was superb!! Love the atmosphere, very clean and elegant. Server was very attentive and pleasant. I would highly recommend this hidden gem! Vegetarian friendly and I LOVED the Mediterranean Bowl with salmon which was cooked to perfection!

Another fancy restaurant in Ann Arbor that I only got to visit occasionally while in school was @savas_ann_arbor. They have a really nice environment and service, and of course delicious food. Pasta was very creamy, and for appetizers I recommend their bang bang shrimp (shrimp on yummy crispy rice)!

Our waiter, Jonathan, was very personable and helpful! When we asked about the bang bang shrimp,he was very kind and offered to accommodate our group of 5 with an additional shrimp since it only comes with 4 usually! We were very happy because that was DELICIOUS and we each got to have one. The hummus was also very good. For dinner, I got the capellini marlon, it was spicy and absolutely delicious! All the food came out piping hot, which added to the wonderful experience we had. Our group also had the smash burger, NY strip steak, both the shoestring and sweet potato fries and the za’atar chicken. The NY strip steak was incredible and so was the sauce on top! The chicken was moist and flavorful. The sweet potato fries came with a spicy aioli for dipping that balanced the dish perfectly. The shoestring fries were just OK, nothing special. The atmosphere was so nice, lots of windows, beautiful decor but also pretty casual. This was a perfect place to enjoy a dinner with friends.

This restaurant used to be one of my all-time favorites, and I’m sorry to say that I’m incredibly disappointed with the new menu. The menu items are extremely expensive, the portion sizes are small, and the food itself is not worth the price. I paid $50 for a single dish and a lemonade (pictured). Will not be returning.

Best cocktail shrimp I’ve ever had. We really enjoyed all the appetizers and I loved my entree the summer corn risotto. Loved the wine selection too, will return! Be sure to visit if you haven’t been there recently as it’s gone through a full remodel including the menu.

D I V I N E!!! We sat outside on the patio, the food was served in a heartbeat, and it just melted in your mouth. All the ingredients blended together very well, it’s like an explosion of flavors. I got the shrimp arugula salad and the salmon entrée, they both were amazing. The shrimp was a generous portion and it was charcoal grilled, which is a plus! The salmon was juicy and very fresh. Also the service was brilliant. Definitely coming back to try the whole menu, because I don’t wanna miss out! I’ve had a great experience.

Always love this place, service is always great and food never lets me down. We went for brunch this time and it was very good. Breakfast tacos were delicious. Dinner is equally great, had Brussel sprouts and the carrot and pepper dip to start, Greek salad with chicken and mushroom Bolognese. The pasta and carrot dip are tremendous.

Absolutely incredible. I’m a huge foodie. This place is absolutely exceptional. The food, the atmosphere, the service. If Michelin rated restaurants in Ann Arbor I’d be confident in Sava’s getting a long look. 10/10. Highly recommend the burger. It, and the fries, are delicious. Edit- came back for breakfast. Was also great

I've been here twice now after first having the best Greek salad I've probably ever eaten. Came back for a birthday dinner and everything was excellent, a second time. Our service was excellent and the restaurant was clean with a cozy, low lit ambiance. 10/10 will be back.

Sava’s has imbued itself as an Ann Arbor institution. The airy atmosphere, friendly staff, and creative menu options attract diners and the well-executed experience brings them back. However, like anything, nothing is perfect and our banana cake was disappointedly dry. Despite being covered in whipped cream, it was hard to get a good balance of dry and moist. Even so, the curry salmon and burger entrees well made up for the less than desirable dessert.

Group of friends dining here for the first time. We enjoyed our drinks (Sweater Weather drink was delicious). The food (bang bang shrimp, Mediterranean olives, fish tacos, hamburger, mac and cheese, bocconcini panini, fries w/garlic aioli) and dessert (chocolate decadence) were excellent. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was great too.

So happy that the Sava’s starting to serve brunch again! The shoestring fries is as always delicious 😋. I try the big house waffle, and with the price I was hoping to see something a bit more (not in food amount but maybe more fruits and some other sides) It would also be nice if there is an option to get espresso like a latte or a cappuccino.

Wonderful appetizers. Seriously! You could just order several of these appetizers for a tapas; That is how we started the meal. With the beets the hummus & the olives appetizers. So good! Savory sweet fresh flavors balanced with nice textual and taste surprises! Wonderful portioning and plating. You will not be disappointed! In addition I tried the cauliflower as from the sides or "additions" menu. The cauliflower is yummy and mild spicy. Savory yum! For dinner, My daughter ordered the turkey club, very big and heavy on turkey generous portions (thin fries. yummy) took 3/4 of sandwich togo so big yum! Husband got a chicken pasta dish He was pleasantly surprised. Yummy! We will have to try more next time we go to Sava's. And yes, that's a definite (already planning our return visit) you will want to go again as well. The atmosphere is great. Side note: What you don't see well in the pictures is that there are several half moon booths all down one wall. We sat in one of those booths closer to the open kitchen. A slight drawback but please do not let this detour you in any. The curved booth seats we sat in was a bit low for the table. I had to fold up my coat to sit on it like a cushion. A positive is the seats are comfortable. The table height to seat height ratio might be a tad off. So be ready for that. Again Do not let this deter you. If you think it might be a problem then just ask sit at one of the tables Instead of the booths, This might have been only that booth, but be ready to test for- table height to seat height ratio. On an extremely positive note, ❤️ The wait staff is top notch. With a talented chef curating the menu. For dessert my husband had the cheesecake. My daughter had a pot of tea that was loose leaf tea served in a wonderful teapot. (Very high-end tea from the tea shop down the street ) lovely heavy metal teapot. The waiter mentioned this serves two. You can get another cup and both enjoy, a lovely cup of tea. If you are a tea drinker definitely this is something you will want to order. 🫖☕💕 Overall, this meal and ambience exceeded my expectations. -❤️bh Cheers!

Relaxed dining experience with few drawbacks. My family came here on a recent visit to Ann Arbor. We had previous knowledge that this place was pretty good, but it defied expectations. The food it was fresh. It had a unique takes on flavors that I had had before, and the portions were pretty good. The state could’ve probably been cooked a little bit better, but I’m not gonna ding them too much for that. And they made one of the best old fashioned’s I’ve had in the states! Ooh and they allow dogs.

I havn't been to Sava's since before thier remodel. Ordinarily this place would be 5 stars all day long... however I believe due to the Art fair they were busier that usual and probably understaffed. That being said the staff was friendly yet rushed, service was attentive yet slow but the food was very good... unfortunately we never received the appetizer we put in and although we were not charged this is not the service I would expect from an establishment of this caliber. Slightly disappointed but still loyal.

One of my favourite brunch spots in Ann Arbor - but be sure to make a reservation! Their rotating cocktails are one of my favourite pieces of the menu; there is always a range of options in flavour profile, and I always learn something new or about a drink component I'd never heard of. The bartenders and staff are incredibly and intimately knowledgeable of their entire drink and food menu.

Aug 2022 FYI that Sava's has completely changed the majority of the menu, since the last time I was here; after some remodeling done. Will have to dine again to update my review. Dec 2021 Great customer service...5 stars! Always love the ambience of the bar to the coziness of the restaurant. Food-wise tonight was 4 stars. Felt a bit pricey for what we ate... with 21+% tip, it was roughly $270 for 5 people. 4 cocktails, 3 apps, 5 entrees. A few people had the Sava's wagyu burger with the garlic shoe string fries. The burger was "nothing special" taste-wise and a bit on the dry side. It was ok. Fries though were good. The sauce for the burgers tasted like a tartar sauce. Chicken panino sandwich with the garlic fries and the penne rigata pasta were both the winners on entrees tonight. Pasta was flavorful and ingredients worked well together between the bits of ground beef, broccoli raab (aka the stem) and mushrooms. However, the sauce on this dish is watery...I would've thickened it a little, so that it sticks to the noodles. The gemelli pasta dish was a mushroom bolognese sauce topped with two dollops of ricotta cheese but texture was more like a whipped sour cream. This dish needed a touch of salt or something. One person described it as more of a pasta with a thick marinara sauce or tomato paste. Not a fan. We started with an appetizer round of sweet potato fries, roasted brussel sprouts, and the bang bang shrimp, all of which were excellent! Cocktails too! Still love this place... will be back! ❤
