This is by far one of the best metro parks available in Michigan. I found it by accident- a pool near me charged 36 dollars for my toddler son and I, so we went looking elsewhere. $10 to enter the park on a daily pass- $40 for an annual pass. We have gone so often that the employee in the ticket booth noticed I had a ton of daily passes on my windshield- which equaled $40 so they said I can now get the annual pass when I turn in all of my daily passes, without having to pay another fee. Pool is $5 to get in and free for kids under 30 inches of height. The beach is no extra cost after you pay a daily or annual fee. The beach is beautiful, the water has been warm too. There are concessions available as well. We go at least twice a week now. The splash pad is no extra cost either.

Beautiful park. So much to do-- walking, swimming, skating, biking, tennis, volleyball, and much more. The fee is $10 daily or you can get the annual metroparks pass for $40 and it will give you access to all the wonderful Huron Clinton metro parks!

Trails by nature center were well maintained and we saw lots of animals. We were surprised to see so much activity. Park was clean and had clear signage. Has nice picnic spots by the water. Worth a stop

This was our first time here. Totally worth the $10 parking. The water park is $5 extra per person.. hopefully we can do that next time. But this place is huge! Many things to do. Could enjoy the whole day here.

Wow ! Such a nice lake with so many fun things to do. The beach was clean and was not crowded at all!! We didn’t expect a lot from this place but ended up spending almost 3-4 hours … the play area is great and there is ample parking space …

I decided to take my baby to the beach. He absolutely enjoyed it. As you can see he jumped in the water for a quick swim. The water was too cold for him..LOL The park is beautiful, we walked along the boardwalk. We stopped at the playground where the kids were playing. In the playground they had a house with free books for the kids. I thought that was really nice, "take a book, give a book''. We walked around a bit people watching. Families riding bikes just enjoying themselves young and old.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A sunlit haven for photographers and families alike! I recently had the chance to visit Lake St. Clair Metro Park at sunrise, and the experience was nothing short of magical. The way the early morning light touches the serene waters, creating an ever-changing canvas of hues, made for some truly breathtaking photographs. If you're an enthusiast of capturing nature's beauty, especially the calm elegance of dawn, this park is a must-visit. But Lake St. Clair Metro Park isn't just for those with a camera in hand. It's evident that the park has been designed with everyone in mind. Families will find it particularly appealing. The waterpark, which caught my eye, seems like the perfect escape for the young ones to cool down and have a blast on a hot summer day. It's spacious, well-maintained, and filled with features sure to elicit joyful shrieks and laughter. And then there's the expansive beach! Stretching out invitingly, the sandy shores offer ample space for picnics, sandcastle building, or simply lounging and taking in the tranquil surroundings. All in all, Lake St. Clair Metro Park serves as a delightful blend of recreational activities and natural splendor. Whether you're an early bird photographer or a family in search of a wholesome outing, this park will exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!

Large Park with playground and large pool with big slide. Can get crowded. Plenty of parking. Large splash pad too. Beach access too with very calm waters. You can be 50 get in to the beach and still be at like waist level which is pretty great.

A nice drive into park. Lots of trails and paths. Busy with many walkers in area. Nice beach access on the n.e. side. Scenic views. Lots of wetland area too enjoy. So many Waterville. We saw the lotus seed pods in various stages of seed development.

What a stunning park! Huge! Gorgeous! Plenty of parking and so much to do! Boating, swimming, picnics, walking, jogging, bike riding, boating, parasailing and more. Nice bathrooms and were clean. 10 bucks for a daily pass. Really excellent view of the Detroit skyline. Not too crowded today either. Very diverse crowd full of happy people enjoying the summer of 2021! Will be coming here in the future to enjoy all this park has to offer and the stunning view on Lake St. Clair. I am sure there is something for you to do here too!

Beautiful area with lots of walking paths and nature. Trails for great outdoors exploring, beaches and lakes for swimming or water sports. There's a nature center that has fish, turtles, and a snake and great information in animals around the area. They also have stuffed birds, owls, and animals from the area. Side note they have nice bathrooms too. Just know that if you don't have a Metropark pass, it's $10/ day. Pack some lunch and snacks there's plenty to explore. Enjoy!

What can I say. I absolutely love this park. Everything about it from the nature trail to the walking trail. I love the amount of nature that there is. The fall colors. Even in the winter which I do not like winter. This park is very pretty. The bathrooms are always clean. The park is open in 365 days a year. Every time I’m here I always try to snap a pic of some thing. If it’s a turtle or a bird or the water or the sunset or the sunrise or the deer or a groundhog, there’s many things. I’ve grown up coming to this park. Over the last couple years I went to all 13 metro parks in Michigan. I do prefer this one the most. These are some of my photos

The politeness at the park is par excellence! The circular lakeside walking path is a bit thin, though, for a two-way, and tends to congest between dogs, bikers, and walkers. Sometimes, one-deep, single file is all you can do...or lose an arm to a bike...or get to know a dog. -w. 12APR23

We used to love this park a lot but after a recent visit, we decided not to come anymore. What bothered me the most was the marijuana smell almost everywhere. Whether you sit in a picnic area or near the lake beach, you can hear loud music playing as if the park is someone’s backyard and smell second hand marijuana. It’s torturing for people’s ear, nose, and overall health. Moreover, the park was always so crowded that it’s hard to enjoy the tranquility of nature. With so many kids playing in the park, I felt sorry for them to have to take second hand marijuana. Just hope people coming to this park would be more mindful of others.

A summer get away! Oh yeah. Your beach, barbeque, beach volleyball, swimming pool, fishing, boating, canoeing, cycling, running you name it you find here. A place for all ages. The boat rental are reasonable. Picnic areas are plenty and adjacent to the lakes are mesmerising. There is a small trail for hiking. Bird watchers can look around. In addition restrooms are super clean and showers are good too. I recommend all to visit in weekends. The entry fee with your car is $10 and you missed something you can rent it near the park office.

The kids playground is amazing! Very current and allows for plenty of climbing, sliding and swinging for all ages. The soft rubber ground ensures safe landings without the hassle of rocks or wood chips. The bathrooms are conveniently located near the playground. Highly recommend!

Very nice place. I was impressed with their staffing, considering Lake Erie Metropark (the one I live next to) is on year 3 of having the wave pool closed. The beach is beautiful at LSCM, however it stated there was no swimming allowed. I couldn't find the reason. Possibly water quality issue. Whatever the reason, it didn't stop people from swimming in it in lower 90s temps. One more thing. The young man at the grill was working all by himself handling all the orders.. he did an excellent job.. the chicken sandwiches were really good!

This place was super clean and we had a lot of fun in the sun options. Daily pass to get into the park was $10 and the pool was $5/person. The beach and splash pad was no additional charge. We stayed at the pool for a few hours and then decided to go to the beach which was also just as clean. We had a lot of fun and will go back again soon. One thing I will say though is the little pool side store was very expensive, it’s nice for the convenience but a dollar store bucket and shovel was $5, bottled water was $3, googles $10, dollar store quality stuff I’m talking. So if you plan to go to the beach bring your own sand toys and maybe a cooler with drinks and googles. I did also see what looked to be mini golf, we will have to check that out next time. Great job keeping the park so nice.

We originally visited the metropark just to play at the playground and the splash pad, the beach was a big maybe. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the beach was compared to the photos I had seen in other reviews, but we did go in the middle of the day on a Wednesday so it was not that busy. Water wasn't the clearest I've ever seen, but definitely was not the dirtiest, either. The park was amazing, bathrooms were very clean, and the splash pad was a blast. Overall we had a great time and will likely visit again.

I'm so glad I purchased a pass to enjoy the Metro Parks! This is one of my favorites. I tend to park near the spot where you can enjoy the Wind Surfers and walk over to the wetlands park - beautifully preserved and cared for. I saw a Gopher and a Crane enjoying the beautiful day along with me. Perfect natural reset... 😍

Came for an ice fishing visit a couple weeks ago, it was beautiful. They also have the restrooms open and heated.

The nature area though a little small is still a nice place for a walk and allows the opportunity to see deer, owls, nesting water birds, and the usual assortment of small woodland friends! The wetland boardwalk can at times be flooded after heavy rains so plan accordingly should you adventure with rain in the forcast.

Nice park with walking trails, beach views, and many activities for every season. Par 3 golf, mini golf, pool, splash park, beach, picnic areas, sledding hill, cross country ski route in the winter, natural ponds for ice skating, lots of good spots for fishing. There is a nice playground, with sections for children of all ages and an exercise center just outside the fence. Lots of space taken up with parking lots however, and it can get busy on the weekend - especially during summer. On a weekday or during other seasons it can be quite empty, and It’s almost like having the park to yourself

Had my son's 2nd birthday at shelter J. I visited in June and worried about the taller grass around which had not been pictured when I booked the sheltered. There were bugs everywhere, because, you know, June. We had the party at the end of July. It was perfect. There were still bugs but not nearly as many, we didn't have a problem with gnats. The shelter was easily accessible via shuttle and was removed from all the beach activity which could still be enjoyed if you simply took a shuttle back. Our guests loved it too. There was a clean restroom nearby, a slide with a couple of swings, plenty of space to run around for all the kids. I'm thankful we hosted his birthday there.

Gorgeous park! Peaceful and not at all crowded this time of year. Perfect place for a leisurely stroll along the waterfront or a longer hike through the marsh. Fall foliage is fantastic!

This park is amazing! $10 park pass (we used cash not sure if they take cards). Newer playground, it’s right on the water. Dog friendly. Large board walk. Tennis courts. & more. There are picnic benches all over. A volley ball court. It looked like there was a splash pad and small water park for when the weather is nicer too. It really is a great area. Our kids (14 yrs, 10 & 9 yrs old) all asked if we could go back the next day. 10/10 recommend.

Lake St Clair Metropark is always a good time. We love walking a long the beach and enjoying the view. We saw a freighter and you can see the renascence center in the distance. We walked a long the docs and enjoyed looking at the boats and many of the cool houses across the canal. We are looking forward to going there again in a few weeks when it is warmer for a barbecue. The dogs love to walk out there. Just a note that some of the squirrels are beggars.

Very clean beach. Plenty of space. One of the older rangers is a bit high strung and rude based an interaction I witnessed with another beach goer. My advice on a nice day is to get there before noon or be prepared to wait in line to get in.

The park has been updated since I lived in the area. Very nice playground for kids. Clean beach area and overall a nice place for families, or groups to enjoy the day.

One of my favorite places in SE MI! I love the variety here-- beach, pool, golf, putt putt, lots of wildlife in the woods, areas for nature walks. I also love the events during the summer like live music.

The pool was clean, a little cold, but clean. Not to busy for a Friday. Arrived@ 1pm stayed until 5-530 pm. Lifeguards were on duty. Waterslide was fun! There's also rock climbing in the pool. It's $5 per person to enter into the pool area. Bathrooms were decent. Cafe has good food. Definitely would come back.
