Great place for kids of all ages (and their parents). We went over holiday break so it got a little too busy for our comfort (in the time of covid) but right around opening it was nice. Many activities for kids of all heights and interests. Our kids were sad to leave! Appreciated that everyone was wearing masks, but some parents could try to remind their kids to distance (especially for our under 5 crew). Also, I’d suggest the museum add many more sanitizing stations. There definitely were not enough for how much touching is happening. Thanks for the great time!

Nice exhibits for children of all ages. Although kids of ages 5-6+ will enjoy the most. Ticket prices are okay, online and counter purchases are available. Parking is a bit hard around the area, though lot many public parking spaces are available. Didn’t happen to be much crowded given the long weekend.

A delightful assortment of science and experiential learning opportunities for toddlers to adults. We find something new everytime we visit. Mornings seem to be the busiest, especially with school groups. Bring a lunch and eat in their dining room, vending machine available for snacks and beverages. Parking not available on site, street parking usually not available. Structure parking available a few blocks away on Ann and Ashley.

It was our first time here and our 18 month old absolutely loved it, I don't think she knew what to do with herself, which made us love it. She absolutely loved the water tables in the preschool gallery and everything in it. Which also has an infant area. She was so overjoyed by each floor, she ran through everything. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger but there was still so much to do, we had a great time. And if you've never been there, to get to floors 3&4 it's by the eating/vending machine area which is by the room with the ambulance. 🚑 enjoy yourself, we did!

This was a staple for me growing up! I took my oldest son and now my two toddlers who love it! We go at least 5 times a month and the preschool room entertains them the most! They also love the ambulance and STEM room! The family membership is worth it!

This is a cool museum! My 9 and 11 year old kids really liked it. There were tons of things to do. It is harder to find parking and I believe it is all paid parking. The reason I rated it 4/5 stars is that it is dirty. It is really dusty and you can tell surfaces are not wiped down. Especially high touch surfaces- it’s a little gross. I’m sure during the pandemic it was better but cleanliness is definitely lacking at this point. Kids and adults are $16 to enter. Visited on the Saturday after thanksgiving and I thought it would be crazy but it really wasn’t too crowded.

Very cool and well thought out place to take kids. There was a birthday party going on when we were there, so it seemed really busy. But cool thing, they have sister location like the Wonder labs in IN.

This was our first time to be at Hands-on hands-on museum and our kids enjoyed it a lot. We took annual pass which costs around $160/ which is economical compared to one time entry of $16/person. Highly recommend to go for annual pass for family to save good amount of money.

Awesome place. There are activities for all ages. I have a kid of 5 years old and 1 year old and both enjoy this museum. I bought the family membership, I am planning to come often. A good advice, Need to bring more clothes because there are water activities and are really fun. The first 2 stories are the most interesting. The 3rd and 4th are small.

Wonderful and exciting place! Super fun! Parking on the weekend was challenging. They didn't have any information about parking on their site. Eventually we found a pay lot off Ann St between N Main and Ashley that's a few blocks away.

My kids love this place and even on the busiest of days there's a lot that they can get their hands on. Great for all ages and in a perfect walkable location.

Great exhibit for all ages. I went yesterday with my 14-month-old and 11-year-old! They both had an AMAZING time. I wish I would have packed more changes of clothes because on the first floor there is a water room, then there is another water table in the preschool room, and then there is an exhibit where the kiddos can stand in the middle of a huge bubble! Of course, they provide approval for the water table in the toddler room but my kiddo was already soaking wet before I could even grab that LOL I stayed for 2 and a half hours but honestly could have just spent that time at the water tables alone. We all had an amazing time. I could spend a whole day here easily. I wish I lived closer so I could attend frequently. They do have public parking 2 blocks down the road. The building is handicap and stroller accessible. The staff is great.

I brought my kids, 8 and 4 here for a little trip at the end of their holiday break. It was a bit underwhelming. There was a lot of science and that was cool for me, but so many things were just “hit this button and watch it do something mediocre.” The kids ran through each exhibit so much faster than I expected because they didn’t understand it, couldn’t/didn’t want to read the description, or it was just a quick button or lever and didn’t capture their attention. There were some more interactive things but they weren’t so cool that it held their attention. They’d do it once and move on. I’d say there’s one, maybe two solid attractions per exhibit but every kid wanted to do that so there was a line and on our specific day, not all parents supervised line manners and it didn’t always go well. But it goes to show you, the rest of the stations are pretty underwhelming so they move through them super fast and just want the cooler ones. It was an hour drive so I was hoping it would be cool enough to be a full day trip. We honestly struggled to last 2 hours and by like 90 minutes my 8 year old and I were done but my 4 year old wanted to continue for a short time after. Cleanliness: pretty good, no complaints Attractions: Just okay, kinda disappointing Staff friendliness: didn’t have many interactions but the one we did talk to was nice Gift shop: ehhhh okay. Underwhelming

This is a great place to take the kids! There were tons of things for my son to do! My only critique is that most of it seemed geared to an older crowd, maybe 8-10. My son, who is 5, had a hard time following the detail of many of the devices as they take a good amount of reading. He was able to do them, just didn't realy understand what he was doing and would lose interest as I was trying to read the text to him. They do have a preschool room, which was fine for him, but it took him all of 10 minutes to blow through all the activities in that room. Overall it was a great experience.

Great time! Lots of activities for all ages. You can really get lost for a day or two seeing how everything works and learn and relearn different STEAM principles. I would visit here again. They offer evening "Adult Only" hours as well. I would love to see an updated Map. They tell you where everything is, but the stair layout in how the floors are connected is confusing. And if possible, I think it would be cool to have a rotating exhibit, similar to other museums.

Great museum for kids to have fun! There are a lot of exhibits and they are easy to get to. The water room is my children’s favorite and they also have one in the preschool area. It’s nice because it’s enclosed so you don’t have to worry about your toddler. The whole museum is eye catching to the kids and they will have tons of fun. Expect to spend 2-4 hours here. They don’t sell food but do have a snack area to sit at. Plenty of restrooms. They offer a large EBT discount so be sure to utilize it! Parking is a hassle in downtown, I recommend the parking lot on the corner of Ann street, just a block from the museum. It is a few minute walk at most, and is 2.20/hour (download the app for paying!) the museum gift shop is very nice and simple. Especially because they have a ton of smaller toys and fun things for kids all under $5, which is perfect to get them a little prize at the end of the visit that doesn’t break the bank. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all.

I took my 2 yr old niece here over spring break. It was jam packed. The staff worked hard to get everyone in line inside in a timely manner which they did. It was fun but pretty small. A lot of the things there were definitely for older children, but they did have a preschool area that was for younger kids only. Unfortunately there were a few older kids in there unsupervised by their parents and they were pushing the young ones out of the way. My niece had fun but I wish there was more she could have done. Obviously grasping any of the concepts would be out of question but she couldn't even reach a lot. So I would say skip this if your kid is 4 or under, especially for the cost.

If you have kids that aren't in their teens yet then this place is a slam dunk. They have so many different things for all ages and aptitudes. My boys are 5 years apart and see different things working/playing at the same station. The staff was all friendly and the place is clean. We have an annual family pass because of the excellent value it provides.

May 2022 - came here with the family and I have 3 daughters (4, 6 and 9). They loved this place and we bought a year pass. Paid parking is close by. Many levels of things to do. You can take the stairs or an elevator. If you go, I would check to see whats going on in the area. Even on a Sunday, there ere still a lot of people walking around. There are restraunts close by. I highly recommend you go once, but we hope to go back down before school starts in the fall.

We have the family plus membership and we're using it a lot! It's nice to be able to bring guests with us. My kids, 4 and 1, both love the museum. Our top 3 favorites are the H2O, pre school area, and the ambulance. We avoided coming during special events such as winter break activities due to overcrowded visitors. We always try to come at 10, right when it opens, or later at 3pm, so it's quieter. That way the kids can explore more freely, and minimum to none waiting time.

We just brought our 15 month old who is new to walking, he LOVED the preschool play place on the second floor! We are excited to continue taking him as he gets bigger! In my opinion the gift shop has really cool educational toys at fairly reasonable costs, so I'll be utilizing that for birthday and holiday gifts.

If you have little ones and need a cool place, full of amazing learning experiences, this is it! They have so many learning opportunities and it’s so accessible for families with special needs children and even grown ups can have fun, I also love that they are partnered with other museums in the nation so if you have a membership, you can get discounted access to other hands on museums around the country. My kids absolutely loved it here!

Great Children's museum. My son had so much fun. My only complaint is if your not a member the price is a little high if you have kids 3 and under. My son is 3 so they have a whole room that is geared for that age group but the rest of the museum is a mix of stuff for different ages. We spent about hour and half. If my son had been a little older we probably would have spent more time. Also No food options other than a vending machine and at the time of our visit it was almost empty.

Brilliant place for families to enjoy fun science activities. The toddler/preschool room is wonderful. My kid isn’t quite three yet and had a blast. In the time of COVID we were very happy to see everyone wearing masks.

Fun for kids of different ages. There are 3 floors, and so much to explore. Different activities teach about various topics. Such as sounds, kinetic energy, and so forth.

Parking- roadside pay at location, its problem to find if its busy time Locality- quiet, residential area Entry-16 per adult Inside is cool for kids of age 2-16. Kids get experience of science tricks. Although is just fun for 2-4 yr kid as they do not get to learn science part much. I personally felt collection could have been more.
