Christmas trees decorated by a variety of local vendors and companies. Gazebo decorated. The village shop is nicely decorated for Christmas.

I can’t rave about this place enough as it really holds a special place in my heart. I grew up coming here as a child and ultimately it was where my husband and I chose to have our wedding ceremony. It is absolutely beautiful in every single way and is very well maintained. I received 5 star customer service from the staff throughout the planning of my wedding, rehearsal, and the wedding itself. Our guests raved about how beautiful the site was. My husband and I will continue to visit this gorgeous piece of history for the rest of our days.

We held our 5/21/2022 wedding at Mill Race Historical Village and it was perfect. The church with its simplicity and elegance was exactly what we wanted. The staff were great to work with and pricing was very reasonable!! There were lots of locations around the village for pictures.

Transition from downtown Northville to a small historic village within minutes. Cute little historic houses with gravel roads. Little river runs by it. Nice short relaxing scenic walk.

I love this beautiful park. It has great historical building's, a Creek and great paths to walk along. It also has a child's play area, sports park and, many great little spots to just sit down relax and read a book to enjoy the outdoor element's.

Charming historical village with ample parking and easy access from 8 mile road. We come here a lot in the spring and summer when there are a variety of blooms. We've also visited in the fall for Halloween decorations. It's always so peaceful in here. They have a nice playground right next door at the Ford field. There's a small waterfall/dam which is a nice backdrop for pictures. In the fall. The trees lining the water body lend a nice fall foliage background. The village is only steps away from the main thoroughfare of Northville.

This is a beautiful place filled with nostalgia. The historical buildings are fascinating to look at inside and out. There is plenty of space for kids to run around and explore. It's also an ideal spot to take photos.

It's a quaint and delightful village, where the guides demonstrate a true passion and enthusiasm for showcasing its charm. I find it to be an exceptionally beautiful place.

Website did not mention that all the buildings were closed. Not sure why they even bother to list hours and times if no one is there. Like a ghost town. I'm sure it's nice when it's open.

Very beautiful village. Love the houses. I could imagine getting married in the small church. The lakes waterfall overflows to create a shallow creek. Absolutely beautiful.

Nice area for a little walk that's an easy walk to/from downtown. Everywhere you hear the sound of the waterfall or fast-moving water which is really nice.

I attended a Military Funeral Service for one of our VFW POST 7310, COMPLETE with Honor Guard and 21 gun salute. And we had a luncheon gathering after right next door. It was so great and family friendly.

Even in inclement weather, it was a lovely stroll through the Historical Village. Will definitely return during Summer months when things are open...

I had my wedding at Mill Race, and my experience was amazing! Everyone was so helpful and supportive throughout the whole process, and responded kindly and quickly to any questions and concerns I had, from confusion about paperwork to worries about the weather! The ceremony was beautiful, we were married under the picturesque gazebo. We even received a sweet little gift package from everyone! Thank you, Mill Race, for making my special day even more special.

Mill Race Historical Village is a hidden gem in Northville, Michigan. This small village is home to a collection of restored and replica 19th-century buildings, including a schoolhouse, church, blacksmith shop, and general store. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the village or participate in one of the many special events that are held throughout the year. I visited Mill Race Village on a sunny summer day and was immediately struck by its beauty. The village is located on the banks of the Rouge River and is surrounded by lush greenery. The buildings are all well-maintained and decorated with period furnishings. I enjoyed exploring the different buildings in the village. In addition to the buildings, Mill Race Village also has a number of other attractions, including a gazebo, a playground, and a walking trail. There is also a small museum on the grounds that houses a collection of artifacts from Northville's history.

Cute little historical town, nothing was open, due to the fact it was the day after Christmas. Not really sure if the buildings open any other days either. It Was something to do, found by accident by driving by and saw a sign saying free parking for shops. Peeked our curiosity.

I loved reading others reviews as it helped me understand what this place was all about. It was especially interesting to read that the buildings were moved here and not built from scratch in place and you can book events here. The outsides of the buildings were well maintained but all were closed for walking inside them on this crisp fall Sunday afternoon. Yet the gazebo lights were glowing so, of course, we took a picture there. The water fall and huge rocks and lake behind it were all so beautiful so if we weren't taking pictures of the buildings we took pictures of that. The falling leaves and walking paths and benches with couples and families posing for pictures were great for people watching. It was peaceful and so classy and bucolic. I imagine that every trip there would be a different experience based on the changing Michigan seasons.
