Mill
Race
Historical
Village
is
a
hidden
gem
in
Northville,
Michigan.
This
small
village
is
home
to
a
collection
of
restored
and
replica
19th-century
buildings,
including
a
schoolhouse,
church,
blacksmith
shop,
and
general
store.
Visitors
can
take
a
self-guided
tour
of
the
village
or
participate
in
one
of
the
many
special
events
that
are
held
throughout
the
year.
I
visited
Mill
Race
Village
on
a
sunny
summer
day
and
was
immediately
struck
by
its
beauty.
The
village
is
located
on
the
banks
of
the
Rouge
River
and
is
surrounded
by
lush
greenery.
The
buildings
are
all
well-maintained
and
decorated
with
period
furnishings.
I
enjoyed
exploring
the
different
buildings
in
the
village.
In
addition
to
the
buildings,
Mill
Race
Village
also
has
a
number
of
other
attractions,
including
a
gazebo,
a
playground,
and
a
walking
trail.
There
is
also
a
small
museum
on
the
grounds
that
houses
a
collection
of
artifacts
from
Northville's
history.
